We thoroughly enjoyed the exquisite dishes, the delicious wines, the atmosphere, and especially the extremely knowledgeable and friendly service. Highly recommended!

A group of six of us visited the latest edition of Wijnrestaurant op het Land in Raar. After a warm and personal welcome, we were taken on a guided tour and stroll through the vineyard. Along the way, in a beautiful setting, we were treated to a sparkling drink and a few extras. The next stop, in the temporary restaurant, was top-notch and had the same atmosphere. Our food was delicious, and they were very accommodating to some of our guests who received alternative dishes. Matching wines with each dish completed the experience. A solid 10 out of 10, and worth every penny.

This was our third time enjoying a complete wine restaurant experience in the countryside. And once again, it was a wonderful experience. This year, we had the opportunity to take a guided walk through the vineyard and enjoy an aperitif and appetizers among the vines. It was truly wonderful. We can't wait for next year.

We have been coming every year since the beginning ☺️. This year was absolutely fabulous, loved the walk through the vineyard and the great Aperitif location. The food was excellent and the staff is amazing.

Delicious with great service, wines from local wineries and a cozy atmosphere

The restaurant's location is beautiful. The short walk to the spot in the vineyard where the aperitif and appetizers are served is enjoyable; it has a lovely view. The appetizers were rather bland. The pavilion housing the restaurant is okay, but given its size, not very inviting. The decor is mediocre; awkward tables with no legroom. The food is okay, nothing more, nothing less. The wine portions in the package are meager. And those with the designated driver's license received the same amount of wine in their glass for a lower price. Wines were poured long before each course was served, leaving modest glasses empty or the white wine lukewarm. The staff are sloppily dressed (even with stains on their dresses at the beginning of the evening). The staff knew absolutely nothing about the wines. One of the Limburg wines (they were all) was said to be from Veenendaal; we corrected that to Voerendaal. An estimated 150 people were dining, making it a very crowded affair. We paid €350 for two people (6 courses including wine); the value for money is poor. For this price, there are plenty of better options in the region. This was our second and last visit. The concept is good, but the execution is seriously in need of improvement.

We ate at the wine restaurant in the countryside on Friday. Me=n asked me for a review. We made a reservation a long time ago, a few weeks ago. In the special conditions, we noted: one lactose intolerance and one cheese restriction. We arrived at 6:45 PM on Friday, July 11th. After a bit of searching, we found the reservation (it happens). We were asked to walk through the vines where an aperitif and an amuse-bouche awaited us. We didn't really feel like walking there, but there was no terrace at the restaurant for an aperitif. After a few short minutes, we arrived at the back of the property where 5-6 tables were set up on a deck, and wine and amuse-bouches were being served. Of course, there was no room left on the deck. The aperitif was a type of local champagne at €12.50 per glass. We continued walking to the restaurant, arriving around 7:30 PM. By 8:00 PM, we still had nothing—no wine, bread, or anything like that. I asked if we could get something to drink, and I was given the wine list. I ordered a bottle of wine; I won't even mention the retail price or the price it was sold online. First, we were asked if the menu was good and if anyone wanted a vegetarian option. No, all menus were lactose-free, and cheese-free. Yes, no cheese was difficult because one dish was a cheese board. There was no alternative. But the person could get two desserts. Oh, great! Different desserts? No, the same thing twice!! Oh well! At 8:30 PM, we received our first dish, salmon. We had requested lactose-free 5-6 weeks ago. We mentioned this upon arrival, and it was also noted on a card. Sure enough, the first dish was salmon with sauce, and lactose. This was noted, and a new piece of salmon was brought. Just a plain piece of salmon without sauce. Mmmm, well. Not very inventive. The rest of the food was good, tasty, and nicely presented. The service was also friendly, and everything was explained clearly. For a price of €185 per person, you can expect something. Yes, I expected a lot. It was partially met. The final price was €200 per person (probably because of the aperitif). For this price, I've had a better evening. Staff 7.5 Food 7 Overall impression 7

What a wonderfully atmospheric location! The restaurant may be a pop-up, but it's so charmingly decorated. The short tour of the countryside and delicious amuse-bouches with a stunning view were a prelude to more. And that came with an incredibly friendly and competent team, with delicious dishes that were beautifully presented. Thank you so much.

Excellent location with great views over the vineyards and surrounding hills, spectacular sunset. Walk around the vineyards, where aperitif and appetizers were served, was pleasant.

A truly fantastic experience! What a beautiful place to visit. I've already tried many things, but this is definitely worth it!

We had a very pleasant and atmospheric evening. We had a fantastic meal with Limburg wines. The service was professional and friendly. One small comment: we would have appreciated having the menu and wine information on our table so we knew what we were eating and drinking. While tableside explanations are helpful, we still prefer to have a quick look afterward.

If you have to pay 145 euros per person you expect better service: the difference in level between the people is big. You see clear differences in approach to the guests! all in and then from course 3 without water does not fit. Wine is served much too early: is almost finished before the course arrives; cutlery is brought too late and placed in different ways at the guests; payment at the table is done at all tables except our lady: she wanted us to come to the bar to pay. In short, great food, nice surroundings, but service of cafe level

A very special experience that was requested down to the last detail!

After our first introduction to Wijnrestaurant op het Land in 2023 in Voerendaal, we returned this year for a new experience. How we enjoyed it! The land in Meerssen is beautiful, great to start the evening among the vines with a bubble from literally our own soil. Then go at your own pace to your table in the restaurant, a beautiful pavilion that feels more like a luxury beach club than a tent that is only there for one month. The various ladies serving were very attentive and knew a lot about the wines and dishes. The wine and food combinations were very tasty, Cuvée Patriek remains a favorite. The courses followed each other at a nice pace, we enjoyed the six-course total experience and were on land from 7.15 pm to just before noon. The sunset over the vineyard was the icing on the cake. Highly recommended for anyone who manages to get a table this year!

Too grand in my opinion. Too pricey for this ambiance ... wine in combination with dishes was delicious ... but this location is not worth repeating as far as I am concerned ...

An annual moment to enjoy, again next year👍😀🍻

One big mockery. €275.50 deposited. We would have been better off spending €100.00 more and going to the star restaurant a kilometer away because they really understand it. Ordered sparkling water several times and received it flat. We ordered a PDO wine arrangement and still had to pay the full price. Besides the beautiful view, the location is more like a noisy canteen. Too few staff, disinterested staff and poor communication between staff. Most dishes were cold. We had to wait one hour and twenty minutes between the first and the second dish, while customers who came in after us were already starting their third dish. More than half of all customers that evening had a social deal while we had to pay full price for the same thing. That's really a no-go. We reported the above when leaving. The lady said "I'll pass it on", to which we asked "what are you passing on because you haven't recorded any information from us at all?". Now comes the worst part: the day after "the experience" they send an email requesting feedback. We have sent an extensive email with our findings. Two weeks later I still haven't heard anything. Sent another email. And what do you think? Heard nothing more. In summary: one big mockery. Once and for all.

Nice concept with, unfortunately, a 'mass is cash register' feeling. Due to the crowds, understaffed staff and poor communication, we had to wait a particularly long time between each course. The food and wine were very good, but not in relation to the price you pay. As a result, the overall experience is ultimately a disappointment. For this price range you expect more service and more attention. When indicating the points, the response is almost defensive. It's a shame that feedback is not handled properly.

Food and wine are delicious and beautifully balanced. Absolutely enjoyed that. However, service and ambiance still deserve attention. The room is very noisy and we always had to wait a long time for service, ordered water, but it never arrived. Food is served and the accompanying wine only arrived twice when the dish was already finished, poor communication between kitchen and service. For the 3rd dish, cutlery was not covered again. We had to wait and shout for more than 10 minutes before we contacted the waitress to ask for cutlery, the dish was then ruined. Our conclusion was that in terms of numbers it is a bit too big for the experience you want to create. For the €260 I left for 2 people, I really expected better service. Shame

A major disappointment!! Structural mistakes were made by the service. Serving still water while sparkling has been passed on, serving the wrong wine and so on. Details to pay attention to. This was also the case at the table next to us. If the above happens just once, it can be considered an incident (which can happen anywhere, of course), but if this occurs on a structural basis, it will lead to annoyance. In addition, the service is too inexperienced for the price you have to pay. The service therefore does not match the price level at all. The food was mediocre in terms of portions, not hot enough and the taste experience was far from optimal. As a reference, at G7 in Sittard you get a wow factor in all facets for a relatively small price difference with Wijnrestaurant on land. Unfortunately for us and many others it was the last time we ate here.

Beautiful location in the middle of the vineyard. Very large dining room and lots of tables, but fortunately not too much noise. Tables are far enough apart. Was larger than I thought. Service good. The taste of the food was not bad (a bit predictable), portions were just far too small. Unfortunately, price-quality is not up to par.

De locatie is apart: een groot luxe paviljoen tussen wijnranken en velden waarin veel tafels (voor ca. 350 personen) staan met achterin een open keuken. Het was erg rumoerig, het eten was lekker, maar de porties waren erg klein, meer maatje grote amuse en zonder de extra bijgestelde frietjes (+€6,50) had ik onvoldoende gegeten en ik ben geen grote eter. De wijnen waren ook prijzig: een klein aperitief €11.- en een klein glas witte wijn €7,50. Voor één keer een leuke ervaring, maar wat mij betreft niet voor herhaling vatbaar. Voor deze prijs zijn er veel betere eetgelegenheden te vinden.

Heerlijk gegeten met lekkere bijpassende wijnen. Een aanrader.

Super lekker gegeten. Verschillende smaken en texturen. Mooi opgemaakte borden. Echt genieten!

Ik had meer van het eten verwacht. Het wijnarrangement voldeed helaas niet aan mijn verwachtingen. De service was top!!! De ambiance was goed.

Een unieke ervaring! We werden vriendelijk onthaald op deze unieke locatie. Parkeren was goed geregeld en duidelijk aangegeven. Mooie gerechten maar wel erg kleine porties, het verscheelde ook per tafel viel mij op. In het kabeljauw gerecht was de kabeljauw niet te vinden en overheerste de bloemkool. De service was goed en gezellig. De wijnen waren goed gekozen bij de gerechten en werden met een duidelijk verhaal toegelicht. Een unieke ervaring maar voor 1 keer gezien de prijs / verhouding eten.

Hier in augustus met een grote groep komen eten. Het eten was helaas niet super en de wijnen waren erg matig. Daarnaast ervaarde we hele racistische trekjes van het personeel. Zo dachten ze op het eerste gezicht dat wij een groep waren die hier kwam via Groupon (zonder dit te vragen) en werden we heel de tijd door iedereen aangekeken. Ook werden we grotendeels genegeerd door het personeel. Ik snap dat ze in Limburg niet al te gewend zijn aan gekleurde mensen in plekken zoals dit, maar dat mag niet het gedrag van het personeel bepalen. Het was geen fijne ervaring voor ons!

Lieve, vriendelijke ontvangst!!! Attente begeleiding tijdens mijn/onze aanwezigheid. Leuke wisselende maaltijd-keuzen voor als je meerdere keren wil gebruikmaken van deze unieke accommodatie!! Het heeft me iedere keer weer heerlijk gesmaakt!

Unieke wijn-spijsbeleving. Tussen de wijnvelden eten en drinken. Met zicht op de keuken en persoonlijke begeleiding door Maurice. Top gedaan. Mooie en goede Nederlandse wijnen. Smaakvolle gerechten en een hele avond verwend. Men staat op voor verbetering. Rosé werd vervangen door een rode wijn. Enige minpuntjes (buiten de totaalprijs maar dat wist ik van tevoren) waren de stoelen (wij zaten aan een bartafel op hoge kruk stoelen) en muziek op achtergrond (vermoeiend en storend in de gesprekken aan tafel).

Het was weer net zo’n fijne belevenis als 3 jaar geleden. Lekker genieten van al het moois dat het leven te bieden heeft met goede vrienden. De locatie is prachtig en het restaurant is prima verzorgd. Wel is het er nogal rumoerig. Enkele akoestische schermen zouden er wel op z’n plaats zijn. De bediening was top, passend bij de prijs van het geheel. Jade en Sofie hebben ons tot in de puntjes verzorgd. De afstemming van de wijn en de gerechten was zeer geslaagd. Twee mensen uit ons gezelschap waren minder gecharmeerd van de rode wijn maar dat is persoonlijk. Al met al een top avond, wij komen volgend jaar weer en kunnen het iedereen aanraden!

Super sfeer, prachtige locatie, top eten en uiteraard prima wijn uit Limburg

Helaas was het bezoek niet helemaal wat we ervan hadden verwacht. Het eten, drinken & de omgeving voldeed volledig aan onze verwachting, maar helaas was de service die we hebben gekregen zwaar onder niveau. We hadden om 1900 gereserveerd en werden netjes naar onze tafel gebracht. Rond 1920 kregen we een aperitief aangeboden. Vervolgens hebben we tot 1945 gewacht tot de kaart naar onze tafel werd gebracht. Om 1945 zijn we zelf naar de gastheer toegelopen om de kaart te vragen. Rond 20.15 was het eerste gerecht nog niet op tafel. Ik heb toen om het brood gevraagd voorafgaand aan het voorgerecht omdat we honger hadden, maar deze kwam helaas toch tegelijk met de tonijn, ergens tussen 20.20 en 20.30. Na het tussengerecht kwam er gelukkig wat meer tempo in en werd de service beter, echter heeft deze ‘valse start’ er voor gezorgd dat we het bezoek aan het restaurant niet als positief hebben ervaren. We waren uiteindelijk rond 23.30 klaar met eten en hebben de koffie laten schieten omdat het al zo laat was. Ik wil dit graag meegeven omdat ik het zonde zou vinden als anderen deze zelfde ervaring beleven in de toekomst. Het eten, drinken en de omgeving waren super, maar uiteindelijk is de service in je restaurant misschien wel het belangrijkst.

Tussen de wijnranken culinair genieten

Eten was erg goed. Wijn was ook goed. 1 persoon van de bediening was uitstekend. Maar quino als risoto rijst aan te geven dat snapt een kind nog wel dat dat niet klopt. De prijs geeft een bepaalde verwachting die absoluut niet waar wordt gemaakt. Welkoms drankje bleek achteraf €19 te kosten. Zonder dat hier iets van werd gezegd. Spontaan een flesje kraan water op tafel moest later ook betaald te worden. Prijs presentatie verhouding klopte van geen kante.

Lekker gegeten met leuke verrassende wijnen. Wel heel massaal met 300 couverts.
