Based on the positive reviews, we decided to grab a bite here ourselves. With four of us, we chose the Texel lamb burger with tzatziki sauce and red onion. On the side, a portion of Ras fries. It was all truly incredibly delicious! To be honest! The burger was wonderfully tender and you could really taste it was lamb. The bun was slightly toasted, making it all very easy to eat. Ras fries are often fried too long or too short. This one was perfect!! In addition, we found the staff very friendly and were able to sit comfortably in the sunshine. We would sit here again in a heartbeat next time!

The croquettes here are perfect... We always drive out of our way for them on our vacation.

Good burgers at comparatively good prices.

Wilma's is our must-visit when we arrive on Texel. Fries, Frikandel Special, and at least two slices of Bami. Plus, it's clean, friendly, and if you go inside, even very quaint.

Got fries here all the way from De Koog because they don't have a good snack bar in De Koog. Super tasty fries, tasty burgers, highly recommended.

Normally always good, but now 2 sickly sweet milkshakes and soggy fries; that was a bit of a letdown, unfortunately. We are used to better from Wilma.

Fries are fries, but when they deliver the cheese puff on a bike that was ordered but forgotten to be included, and add a cup of ice cream to it as well, you get 5 stars.

It really is a snack bar; you can eat there. What I found annoying is that when other people come to place an order, they sit down somewhere afterwards and stare at the food in your mouth. I was glad to be able to leave again then.

What a great spot this is for a good meal. Not haute cuisine, more like a perfect chip shop/cafeteria. The “international dishes” for €9 consist of a hearty portion that tastes great. Ideal for families with children; you feel welcome here immediately. Highly recommended.

Travelling on my own in Texel. Walked into a half empty restaurant and asked for a table. They seemed surprised at my request but reluctantly said yes so I sat at one outside, and waited. And waited some more. No-one took the slightest bit of interest in me so I left.

Ordering and picking up was quick (15 minutes), even though it was an order for 10 people and it was busy. We really enjoyed the various burgers and the World Fries. The beef stew is highly recommended. For us, delicious food from Wilma is a must when visiting Texel!

Look, it's called fast food, but Wilma has really taken it to another level. Delicious fried fries, plenty of choice from other (vegetarian) delicious fried foods, and more attention has been paid to the presentation of the food than you might expect from a fast food place. Update 2026: just like every other business on Texel, Wilma is also struggling with a staff shortage. You can be annoyed by that, but you can do two things about it. First, surrender to the quiet and patient pace of the island; second, don't all come to eat at the typical Dutch 6:00 PM. Either way, it is worth the wait.

The service was good and the staff very friendly. However, it took 25 minutes before we received our fries. It is a pleasant place to sit and the atmosphere is good. However, the food was not tasty; I personally think it was due to the grease. Tasteless, no salt, and a strange aftertaste. We left the chicken nuggets, fries, and stew untouched. A shame!

Delicious food at a great price-performance ratio.

These fries were really great. Tip: grab one of the "international" loaded fries. The Mexican, German, and of course the Texel fries were delicious and the portions were sufficiently large. Go here if you are staying at holiday park De Krim and want to grab a quick meal or takeout.

The Mexican fries were a particular highlight – something different and incredibly delicious. The burger was also fantastic: fresh, juicy, and perfectly prepared. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients. Wilma, you're amazing! Anyone in the area should definitely stop by. We'll definitely be back!

I went to Wilma's for the first time today, and I have to say, it's a really great place. You can immediately tell it's been recently renovated; everything looks incredibly modern and stylish, yet still cozy. The two owners are super friendly, and you feel instantly welcome. I personally find that extremely important. You can also tell that they put their heart and soul into their work. The food was fantastic. The loaded fries were absolutely amazing, with a great topping and perfectly prepared. My frikandel was also incredibly delicious. There's a great selection overall, so there's something for everyone. What also impressed me was the value for money. It's absolutely fair for the quality. I'll definitely be back! 👍

Tasty and diverse food, fast and friendly service

Wilma is a quaint snack bar that offers pretty much everything a deep-fried food lover could want. A particular highlight is definitely the raspatat, which, to my knowledge, is otherwise only available at Veronica and Turfveld on Texel. A large portion costs €4.80 plus sauce, which is reasonable as it's perfectly sufficient for one person. The ambiance could be improved; perhaps a bit more light would be welcome.

The food was good, but not great. The staff was friendly. But 70 euros for two burger meals (Wilma Burger and Chicken Burger), a Frikandel XXL Special with fries, two croquettes with fries, and four 0.5-liter Cokes. Oh well!

Everything is renovated or new; this is a really good snack bar. I would definitely go back. The prices are reasonable, everything tastes great, and the selection is fantastic for a chip shop. The staff is friendly. What more could you want?

Great spot for a snack. Recently renovated, it's been a huge improvement. Plenty of seating and an extensive menu.

This is the best snack bar on Texel, and it's also (partly) open in November. The international dishes are highly recommended, especially the Texel with stew. Tip: don't order any other dishes; it's enough. The satay sauce is also delicious. One year later: open on Mondays 👍🏼 The Israeli international fries with shawarma are also delicious.

I eat there every vacation. They have the most delicious burgers, in my opinion. But the fries and frikandel special are also a must every time. The staff is always friendly.

A really neat place to get fries or other snacks. Friendly staff and fast service. The food was okay, but certainly not exceptional. The "wereldfrietje" (9 euros!) was a small portion of fries with a bit of stew on top. It was tasty, but a very small portion for the price. The snacks are easy to find and were fine. The hamburger was simple but nothing special. The fries were inconsistent; sometimes they were good and crispy, other times they were soft.

Delicious, typically Dutch snacks; we always come here at least once when we're on Texel. They also offer larger meals and burgers, although we haven't tried any yet. There's a small outdoor seating area, right next to a parking lot, but I've never found it a problem.

Very tasty ras patat, not at all greasy, huge XXL frikandel, they take XXL seriously 😀 Friendly, young service. The outdoor seating is quite nice, but it could be more comfortable.

The food is really good for the price: a good burger 🍔 and a fried schnitzel with delicious fries 🍟. The outdoor tables were completely dirty, and some of the chairs were broken. Hence, unfortunately, only 3⭐️

At the request of my 14-year-old son, I went to Wilma Eten & Drinken. Five years ago, we had a good experience at Wilma Eten & Drinken, so we parked our motorcycle and chose an outdoor spot out of sight. My son had seen a nice motorcycle further down the road and went to take a look by himself. Upon returning, he was sad and hurt. He didn't want any more food. He felt like several adult men loitering in the bike parking area had pointed at him and laughed at him. As a mother, I politely inquired about the circumstances. Two men were approachable, despite clearly being on drugs and drinking alcohol. A third person immediately became very irritated and rude towards me and aggressively approached my son on the back patio. Then this man, Ruud from the Texel Golf Course, felt the need, with his 45 years of life experience, to speak demeaningly to a 14-year-old boy. The insecurity was oozing from this adult man. I was initially shocked by such a childish way for a middle-aged adult to speak to a child. My son simply repeated Ruud from the Texel golf course verbatim, taking a much more mature approach for such a young boy facing a middle-aged, student-like man. But Ruud from the Texel golf course wanted to start some kind of teenage argument. After a sharp dig from my son's girlfriend—she was absolutely right—Ruud from the Texel golf course left. He then proceeded to get himself worked up against his friends about us while we placed our order. Finally, Ruud from the Texel golf course complained to someone named Gerrit, and Gerrit, as head of the Wilma Eten & Drinken dispute committee, subsequently canceled our order, claiming we had picked a fight on the terrace with his "customer," clearly one of his fellow villagers. A customer to whom he poured more beer, even though Ruud from the Texel golf course was already clearly drunk. This Ruud was standing outside the patio, while we had a spot far out of his sight, and Ruud from the golf course deliberately approached us. Then, with his middle age and clearly much older appearance, he attempted to verbally destroy a barely fourteen-year-old boy. Shame on Ruud from the Texel golf course, because your attitude was more likely to be related to a 12-year-old child than a 45-year-old man. Gerrit, on behalf of the head of the dispute committee, Wilma Eten & Drinken, then chased away two people over 50, two 14-year-old children, and an elderly dog after a lot of crying from Ruud from the Texel golf course, and closed his sliding door at the back. His reasoning: it sounds a lot like cronyism. A real shame. Zero stars would be preferable. I see in a previous review that your fries were soggy, so we probably escaped a nasty meal. Gerrit, we'll continue to savor the nasty aftertaste of your actions in a conflict, mishandled by a middle-aged man, next year and every year we return to Texel and likely stay here for longer periods. The competitor tasted fine. Kind regards from a mother, who might want to inquire about the childish behavior of your regular "customer" and his friends.

The burger is made with lamb, not frozen! The bun was a good multigrain bun, and they also served several fresh salads. The tomato, cucumber, and garlic sauce (tzatziki sauce) were all great. The order was taken care of, the owner's personal pride, and overall, it was friendly. Quite a feat! And thanks again. Cooking is silver, frying is gold! The patty is made from lamb, not frozen! Der Bun was een good Mehrkornbrötchen, was gut dazu paste der Salat fresh verschiedene Sorten. Tomato Gurke und Koblauchsauce (Tzsaziki Sauce) everything super. The order was taken care of, the personal pride of the large and generally friendly. More like that! And again Thank you.

I waited 25 minutes for a "wereldfriet Indonesia" (world fries Indonesia) because the buzzer apparently was empty, so it wouldn't go off. They immediately put in a new one for me. Then, after 10 minutes, they asked if I'd gotten my "wereldfriet Indonesia" yet, and it turned out they'd already given it to someone else! I waited 50 minutes for nothing!
