Y.A.M's Koffie & Lunch in Wijk 01 Binnenstad

It was a very busy morning, so I stopped for lunch. The food was delicious, and the relaxed atmosphere, music, and staff helped me get back to work feeling relaxed.

It's a nice place, but I have no idea about the food. I ordered, waited 15 minutes, and politely asked how long it would take. At least another 10 minutes was the answer. That means they haven't even started in the kitchen yet. Look, this can happen, but just mention it before we order.

We waited 1.5 hours for our breakfast and then got the wrong food. It was already cold. The conditions were nice.

What a nice place. Very friendly service. We only drank coffee there and it was very tasty. If we are in Harderwijk again, we will definitely come back here. I can highly recommend it.

I happened to stumble upon Yam today. Nice atmosphere and friendly service. Delicious coffee. I had two loaded fries and a pulled chicken sandwich. The food was fine. But in my opinion, the price-quality ratio is way over the top. Loaded fries? A small bowl of fries with some sauce and a few chicken pieces on top for 9 euros??

Four of us had breakfast. The service and food were very good. If you're not into commercialism, this is the place for you. 👍

Delicious coffee, muffin was not my taste but that's my taste.

Discovered this nice coffee shop during a day in Harderwijk. Cozy atmosphere and friendly service. Fortunately, they also have vegan "milk" for coffee, which is very nice for my lactose-intolerant husband. He initially received a regular cookie, so it was not suitable for him. But when the owner saw this, it was immediately corrected and he was given something tasty that he can eat. And the staff was instructed that in the future they should pay attention to this when someone asks for oat milk. That's what I call service!

Nice place with nice employees and good food. Inside it looks fine, but the location of the toilets along the kitchen could be better.

Delicious coffee, breadboard breakfast €15 per person but it didn't even include coffee or tea and it wasn't very much so quite expensive! Then we had something to eat at Hema.

Sat here to have a coffee with a small mommy group + the babies. They had reserved a small corner for us, so that we could sit there with the strollers. Very nice that this was possible! The coffee was tasty, the atmosphere is good, the location is well located and what is especially nice is that it is one of the few places that is open on Sundays in Harderwijk. We didn't eat there, but I'm sure it will be delicious.

Atmospheric coffee shop, with wooden benches and chairs and comfortable armchairs by the window. Delicious coffee (also super decaf) and good carrot/apple pie. Friendly and smooth service. We didn't get around to lunch, but we will definitely come back for that.

Ordered a high tea for 7p for home last weekend. It was great!! Very freshly prepared and incredibly tasty. Soup, 2 small sandwiches (with pulled chicken and hummus with avocado), mini 'sausage' roll (from oyster mushroom), yogurt with granola, scones with lemon curd and clotted cream, cheesecake, carrot cake and different types of tea. The table was full! Absolutely recommended, I will definitely do it again. Thank you for a very successful afternoon!!

Visited you today and were surprised by the service. With 3 people behind the counter, unable to serve 3 tables smoothly. I kindly asked if it was self-service because no one responded, and I received a snarky answer from the lady. She had to clean everything up first............. Then we had to wait a while before we were "allowed" to place our order. They need more than 15 minutes for a (weak) coffee and a cappucino. As a real catering tiger with crooked toes with annoyance, I had to watch it. Fortunately, we decided to leave it at coffee. Because how long would that take? The 3 ladies did not manage to create the atmosphere and I have already talked about the pace. We did not feel welcome and were clearly too much........ Very unfortunate, but we will not be back. Good luck with your business, where with the right attitude a lot of good things can be achieved. A disappointed customer.

Dear Yam, you have the best coffee in the region and the pastries are top class. Please pay attention to the service, it takes far too long and is chaotic. Declining rapidly lately. Thank you and I hope this response helps to improve.

Had a really delicious flat white! The yoghurt with red fruit was not fresh red fruit and I think that was a shame. But very friendly service, I will definitely come back for the coffee!

Read the previous reviews... that's exactly why I went here, because I believe that people do something with constructive comments! I think they have certainly done that, but there is still room for improvement. The coconut milk cappuccino is fantastic! The vegetarian sandwich lacked some herbs and there was quite a bit of grilled vegetables and hummus. There is no need for the chips either, as it is all quite healthy, it is unnecessary! The avocado toast was okay, but not very special. The clerk forgot to ask if we wanted it on white or brown bread, which was a shame but can happen. The toilet was very clean! We will definitely come back for coffee when we are in the area. Maybe not quite the sandwiches (yet).

I come here regularly. The food is super fresh and really tasty. The dog is given a meal and water. Nice contemporary interior. Only compliments👌

The nicest place in Harderwijk for coffee and cake, the great breakfast buffet or a tasty breakfast or lunch dish from the menu. Even though we also like to try out new (for us) catering establishments, we have been coming back here every time for 4.5 years now.

I always like to give the catering industry a second chance before giving a review. This is also the case with Yam. I just want to say that I think social media looks great. Still, I see room for improvement. The first time I was there with my husband, we were helped quite quickly (that's a plus) it was not busy outside and there was hardly anyone inside at that time. We ordered drinks and food at the same time. We got our drinks quite quickly, and we had time, so it was no problem that we had to wait a while for our food. It ultimately took 45 minutes before someone came and asked if we wanted to order something (we still had not received our food). When we told her that we were still waiting for our food, she thought it was strange that we had not received it yet. It would be made as quickly as possible unless we wanted to eat somewhere else? No problem, it will be made quickly and we will wait a little longer. In the end it took another 20 minutes before we got our food. The food was good but the wait was too long. That was our first experience. Had the second experience today. I arrived with my husband and my parents this afternoon and we received a friendly welcome. The recording of the food and drinks went well this time. However, I ordered a smoothie later. I got orange juice. Don't worry, mistakes can happen. I'm not someone who likes to complain or send things back, but I also don't like paying for something I didn't order. When I politely spoke to the waitress about the fact that it was orange juice and not a smoothie, she immediately said that it was the smoothie and not orange juice. I said it wasn't a big deal and mistakes can happen but that it was real orange juice. Still, she insisted it was a smoothie. I then had my mother and my husband taste my glass to see if I had made a mistake. She immediately tasted that it was orange juice and indeed not a smoothie. I felt really bad because this is not how I want to be treated. Another waitress observed what was happening and quickly intervened. She immediately grabbed a new glass with a smoothie (clear taste difference with the glass of orange juice). It may have been a bad day for the waitress who claimed it wasn't orange juice but a smoothie, but I left feeling bad. I don't like to write a negative review, but I do want to be honest about my experiences. Everyone has a bad day sometimes. Would I go to Yam again soon? No, I honestly don't think so. Maybe in the future and hopefully I can share a positive experience.

They have lost track of customers and it takes a very long time to make a cup of coffee.

I made an order inside, sit outside and wait for it more than half hours. Nobody even come for me to tell me something. Cafe wasn’t busy, barista just ignored me. So I just lifted a place Thank you so much it was my favorite cafe in Harderwijk

We took a seat on the terrace where we waited for half an hour. Order had not yet been taken. Then we moved inside in the hope of being helped. Again nothing. Then I ordered it myself at the counter. Staff was shocked that we had to wait so long. Then another woman came to announce that the last waffle had just been sold. (Typical because we had been there for more than half an hour, so if we had just been helped the last waffle would not have been sold, right?) Then it was a long wait again. My poached eggs on my eggs benedict were hard-boiled. The long wait was canceled by the sudden change in weather. However, we were long before the changing weather. We received one drink from the company. Too bad, because there is a lot of potential in the case.

Very bad experience unfortunately. Went for lunch, paid 14 euros for the club sandwich: dry bread with 3 chicken nuggets on it and 2 small slices of bacon. Certainly not worth repeating. Especially since there was a knot of hair in the bun. When reporting the problem to the management, there was no response or adequate solution. Definitely not recommended.

We had the eggs benedict and chicken and waffle. It was tasty, not very large portions but good for the price. The dog was allowed inside. Coffee was very tasty.

Broodje brie gegeten, geen lekker broodje en de brie was van zo’n lage kwaliteit dat ik het niet eens op heb gegeten. Aangegeven bij het personeel, maar er werd helaas niks mee gedaan. Ga hier niet lunchen!!

Enjoyed the Flat white and carrot cake yesterday. To our taste, we could use a little less milk, otherwise the flat white has good strength and taste. The carrot cake is highly recommended. Good flavor and not too dry or too wet. Sat here for the first time, small but nice place. We will definitely come back.

Nice place with good kitchen but unfortunately not many seats. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Liège waffles unfortunately don't taste like those in Belgium, but they certainly didn't taste bad 😊 You just have to get used to the taste of filter coffee. The first sip and smell were a bit of a shock, but from the 2nd sip the coffee went down smoothly 😁 The table next to us received a beautiful TeaTime range. Unfortunately it wasn't on the menu, otherwise we would definitely take this too 😊

We did the Latte Art Workshop. Very well cared for, learned a lot and laughed a lot. Had a wonderful evening. In any case, always tasty cappuccino and pleasant service with attention.

Dan woon je in Harderwijk en dan ontdek je toch nog leuke plekjes. Midden in het centrum is Y.A.M en het was yammie. Via social deal hadden we een heerlijke ontbijtplank, die je tot 16 uur kan bestellen. En daarna nog gebak met thee (dat was weer een andere social deal). Het was heerlijk en al het andere wat we voorbij zagen komen zag er al even lekker uit. Vriendelijk personeel, goede service Ik kom zeker nog een keer terug. 27 Juli 2022 Was vandaag terug om te lunchen met mijn 11 jarige dochter. Ze vond het heerlijk. Ook wij wilden nog genieten van thee en gebak maar dat kwam qua tijd niet uit. Bediening was druk, dit is geen klacht maar een observatie. Gevraagd of ik het gebak kon meenemen, dat kon. En we kregen ook drinken to go mee. Oktober 2022 Heerlijk geluncht met mijn zus. En we zagen een heerlijke high tea voorbij komen (zo te zien alles vers bereid). Dus ja, we moeten nog een keer terugkomen. Mei 2023 En vandaag was het zover De high tea, voor de verjaardag van mijn zus. De kwaliteit was goed. De broodjes waren aangepast aan onze wensen, dank daarvoor. Over de hoeveelheid ben ik nog niet uit. De kleine porties van alles waren uit eindelijk genoeg. Ik had denk ik wat meer zoet willen hebben (ben daar ook een liefhebber van). De prijs van 25 euro p.p vond ik iets te hoog. November 2022 Taart gegeten op de verjaardag van mijn dochter. Mijn dochter ging voor de chocolade taart. Ik had de sticker met noten, chocolade en marshmallows. En die was echt vreselijk.... lekker. Oi, als chocolade liefhebber heb ik gesmuld. November 2023 (wat vliegt de tijd) Mijn beste vriendin heeft vandaag de beste Club sandwich ooit gegeten. Op donker bruin brood, met o.a krokante kip en heerlijk kerrie mayonaise. Goede prijzen, fijne sfeer, een absolute aanrader!

Nice little coffeebar serving breakfast and lunch. Good cappuccino with oatmilk. For lunch avocado on rye bread. Soup of the day (turnip musterd) tasty. And tosti with grilled veggies and melted cheese. Dessert vegan apple pie. Very friendly waitress and chef. All in all a good experience!

Lekker kneuterig gezellig. Eggs Benedict ontbijtplank en snickersgebak zijn een aanrader.

Fijn op het terras gezeten in de schaduw. Het duurde even voor het personeel oog had en de bestelling opgenomen kon worden. Lekkere limonades gedronken en salade gegeten.

Op een leuke plek in het centrum hebben we fijn op het terras gezeten bij Y.A.M. We hebben een heerlijke cappuccino gedronken, de bediening was vlot en netjes.

Zeer matige kwaliteit van de bediening en ook het eten was deels al afgekoeld bediening sprak geen woord duits en dat in zo'n toeristische plaats bij ons kwam hij 2x de bestelling op nemen beslist niet voor herhaling vatbaar

Tijdens wandeling in Harderwijk gestopt voor een drankje. Toffe, leuk ingerichte zaak en goede bediening. Zelden een betere cappuccino gedronken. Een aanrader

Heerlijk plekje, fijne en vriendelijke bediening en heerlijke koffie en lunch. We halen hier regelmatig een koffietje voor tussendoor, maar het ontbijt en lunch was deze keer ook ontzettend goed. Ga zo door. Wij komen zeker terug!

Super lekker eten en hele vriendelijke bediening. Topzaak!

Heerlijke high tea gehad voor Moederdag! Onze hele tafel stond vol met lekkere dingetjes. Het was zo veel dat er een paar taartjes overbleven, maar daar kregen we een doosje voor om het mee naar huis te nemen. Leuk zaakje, vriendelijk personeel en ook een prima prijs-kwaliteit verhouding.

Heerlijk gegeten hier als paasbrunch met familie en vrienden. Alleen is het er wel krap en wel druk. Voor de rest is het helemaal top!

Lekker eten niet mega bijzonder wel apart personeel.

vandaag waren we in de buurt van Harderwijk en zin in lekkere koffie, zag er op papier echt goed uit, toen de ‘barista’ klaar was zag ik al dat het veel te dun was en het was ook veel te warm, wij hebben het allebei (latte machiato en cappuccino) in de put gegooid smerig vonden we het allebei!

Door corona helaas geen mogelijkheid om te zitten, maar gelukkig wel cappuccino om mee te nemen. Wordt met zorg en aandacht gemaakt en beide lekkere cappuccino worden versierd met een andere vorm Latte-art. Verder veel keus in soorten zoenen, lekker met caramel of krokant.

Voor een genietmomentje moet je bij YAM zijn. De kaart staat vol met lekkere koffies en theesoorten. Het taartaanbod wisselt en de lunchkaart is uitgebreid. Alles is hier lekker en met liefde gemaakt.
