It took ages before we could order drinks. This order was also incorrect... Then we ordered lunch, which took ages to arrive, and then we each got a sandwich with half the filling missing, and the chicken had a strange aftertaste... never again...

Had a delicious fish soup. Definitely worth it.

The food was really amazing. The waiters who served our table were super friendly, and they spoke Dutch, English, and German, which is very admirable. I had the schnitzel, and as a German, I've had some pretty good ones—but this was one of the very best. The serving sizes were quite large. The outside area was really comfy, and the view of Harderwijk is lovely. We'll gladly come by again.

Under new ownership for a while now. Totally redecorated/renovated. That can be seen in the menu prices. €20 for some simple meals, too expensive for me. I ended up just drinking an alcohol free beer and that was a whopping €5.25 !!!! I won’t be visiting this establishment again.

Cozy tent with sufficient bustle, indoor/outdoor space. Diverse menu with sufficient choice. Too bad there is no standard spread with the warm bread, so you pay 11.50 for bread with 2 spreads

Very atmospheric restaurant on the market in Harderwijk. At the moment an ice rink in front of the door. We came here for breakfast. Friendly staff. Good coffee. My husband and children eventually went for croquette on bread....and that while there is so much delicious on the breakfast menu. We chose the baron's breakfast ourselves. A warm baked croissant with cheese, a thick sandwich with egg and bacon, coffee, fresh juice and yoghurt with granola and fruit. Really very tasty. In short, definitely worth it if you want a tasty breakfast in a nice environment.

Carpaccio sandwich and chicken sandwich plus a coke and a bubble tea, total = €42.60. I found it very scary. You get 1 thick-cut sandwich with not too much carpaccio, for € 16.90 Last time for me unfortunately.

We come to De Baron every weekend for lunch and absolutely love it. The atmosphere is always welcoming and relaxed, with a great choice between sitting in the sun or shade. In the winter, the terrace is heated, and the indoor seating is cosy, warm, and very enjoyable. The food is consistently very good and surprisingly affordable. We've also had dinner here and were just as impressed – the quality and service never disappoint. Located right on the market square with a lovely view of the old town hall, it’s the perfect spot to soak in the charm of Harderwijk. Whether you're a local or just visiting, De Baron is truly the place to be year-round.

This morning I had eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and a bacon egg club sandwich. It was delicious with very nice, cheerful service. Highly recommended! The chef can never leave again! We will come and sit on your terrace again soon!

Atmospheric! Nice place to have lunch or a cup of coffee. Last time I had poffertjes and a piece of cake. They weren't that tasty. Poffertjes looked like they came from the microwave. And the cake was also disappointing. Furthermore, it has been fine in the past in terms of food, maybe just a bad day!

Had a lovely lunch in the sun on the large terrace. Sandwiches were generously filled and tasted good. Smooth service and very friendly staff.

Day tourist with two Austrian friends. Extremely friendly service. Pleasant atmosphere despite the crowds. The lunch was delicious and dishes prepared with attention! Highly recommended!

Too bad, it took a long time before the ordered pea soup arrived on the table. Unfortunately, that well-filled soup should be hot/warm.

Opgelicht! Okay het terras is fraai zo in het zonnetje, maar vergrijp je niet aan de lunchschotel 'aanbieding warmvlees' gezien he daarna nog trek zult hebben of buikpijn.. ter verduidelijking voor E 12,95 mag je meer verwachten dan enkel 1 (Één) boterham met plakjes beenham en een druppeltje pindasaus! Oja en wat herfstblaadjes ter decoratie van het bord.. Na afloop zelfs nog buikpijn wat vraagtekens plaatst bij de versheid van het aangebodene.. 1 x en nooit weer!

What a delicious meal we had! What a great atmosphere on the terrace. Partly because of the Preuverie and the Live Music. Nice summer initiative on three Thursdays. We 'just' ordered the fried plaice fillet from the menu. That was excellent. The wine was fine. Ditto the coffee. And the service? That was great! Young girls who still enjoyed their work and were very attentive. Highly recommended. Next time we'll do the Preuverie. Maybe next week (August 8). Otherwise we will remember it for next year. We will definitely come back.

Buiten gaan zitten. Lunch niet beschikbaar; alles was op van vorige dag feestdag. Wel drankje maar andere gasten kregen volop aandacht. Ook rokers direct naast je ineens is niet leuk. Snel betaald en weggegaan.

First order went wrong, a plain hamburger became a hamburger with cheese. A new hamburger arrived quite quickly and it was very dry. The final was 2 very thick slices of bread under a lot of ham with a burnt fried egg on top. The terrace is dirty, full of rubbish and especially a lot of butts. This is the first terrace I have visited in years where you are allowed to smoke. Not exactly a nice smell and certainly not while eating. Smoking in and around a restaurant is a thing of the past. Price is on the high side, especially for what you get.

Hamburgers were undercooked and served on bread that was too dry. Price/quality far out of balance. Coffee was nice.

Harderwijk is always worth a trip. And then eat a burger at Baron 👍. Super tasty, even gluten-free is no problem! I would give the service 10 ⭐️! So friendly, so helpful! We'll be back

Delicious food, but the portion of the surf and turf was a bit small. Everything was very well made and tasted delicious. The toasted chicken sandwich is a hit. Furthermore, friendly staff and a cozy terrace.

Looked nice and cozy, staff was super friendly and we felt welcome. We sat outside under the nice warm patio heater and the bouncer tasted delicious.

Delicious food Sitting comfortably

Nice terrace experience with nice weather and good food on the Market. Unfortunately parking was a disaster. We were 7 people aged 65++, some of whom had difficulty walking. There was very little parking space nearby and so our participants had to make a considerable effort to get back to the bus. Coming close to the Market to drop off these people will result in a big fine, according to the experience of the driver from a previous trip.

Nice thing! Cozy terrace. But what crappy staff! No attention for the customers at all.

Lekker geluncht midden in Harderwijk op fijn terras. Vriendelijke en vlotte bediening, ruime kaart met lekkere gerechten en fijne sfeer.

Thought we would have a nice lunch. Was really looking forward to a carpaccio sandwich. Unfortunately, the Baron could not make this happen... the slices of bread were so thick that you could still cut 2 (thick) slices of bread... so much lettuce and little carpaccio that you couldn't even taste the carpaccio... this is worthless. and certainly not worth a return visit.

Heerlijk geluncht in de zon, grote porties, vlotte bediening, midden in het centrum, snel bereikbaar vanaf het water. ( even ter info ; damestoilet alleen bereikbaar via lastige trap)

Amazing restaraunt, service was immaculate and the food was amazing. Overall atmosphere brought the restaraunt to the next level, 100% recommend to try!

Het was mooi weer dus het is goed vertoeven op het plein. We bestelden de varkenshaas sate (19,75), en (buiten het menu) de kipkerrie schotel met wedges en salade (15,75). De bediening was heel vriendelijk. Het eten werd redelijk vlot opgediend, maar het normale mes was niet scherp genoeg om de varkenshaas prettig te snijden. Toen we dit ter sprake brachten, werd er direct een steakmes gehaald (goede service dus) en de rest van de maaltijd verliep uitstekend. Voor ons was dit restaurant een prettige besteding en aangezien wij niet gaan voor culinaire hoogstandjes maar graag wat eten op ons bord zien, voldeed de maaltijd volledig aan onze wensen. Hier komen wij dus voor terug! PS, Bij de varkenshaas zit een andere saus, maar ik ben gek op satesaus en dat werd zonder probleem de vervangende saus.

Gezellig terras in het mooie centrum van Harderwijk. Eten was op zich prima op kindergerecht na. Schnitzel veel te lang gebakken en donker. Werd opgelost met nieuwe schnitzel. Jammer dat de eerder geleverde frites weer in de frituur waren gedaan. Gevolg: schnitzel goed en patat hard en te lang gebakken. Hier maar geen punt van gemaakt en patat gedeeld met zus. Toen werd gevraagd of het had gesmaakt hierop gewezen als tip. Serveerster haalde de schouders op en zei verder weinig. Daar kun je nu net het verschil maken door de klant even te horen. Dat scheelt in je in je reviewcijfer. 2e tip van de dag!

Heerlijk terras midden in het centrum. Goede,vriendelijke en snelle bediening en heerlijke gerechten.

Heerlijk gegeten, veel keuze zowel vegetarisch als met vlees. Snel eten gekregen en was goed van smaak. Personeel was vriendelijk

Goed en gezellig op het terras zitten op het plein. Eten was erg lekker de chef heeft het goed gemaakt was erg tevreden over wat hij gemaakt heeft. Zou hier zeker nog eens komen.

Wat een leuke tent. Plekje op het buitenterras pal voor de zaak. Leuke en vooral goede bediening. Heerlijk geluncht. Mochten wij weer in Harderwijk zijn en wij zoeken een tent om te lunchen. Aanrader !

Geen goede service. Mijn handtas verknald door een medewerkster met een bakje mosterdsaus over mijn tas te laten vallen. Geen compensatie voor de overlast gehad. Parasol werd niet uitgedraaid. Kon niet met mensen op het terras werd gezegd. Terwijl de zon de hele dag fel scheen. Bittergarnituur was lauw. Prijzen hoog. Kortom hier ga ik niet meer naar toe.

Altijd welkom,altijd gezellig en niet te vergeten goed eten en drinken.

Gorgeous food coffee and setting

Lekker geluncht op het plein. Vriendelijke bediening, snelle service. Broodje was erg lekker maar er zat bijna geen kaas op, zeker niet in verhouding met de andere broodjes die hetzelfde waren.

Absoluut geen kok met liefde. Er is geen olijfolie in de keuken. Ivm glutenvrij was de maaltijdsalafr 15 euro met gerookte zalm + 2,50 een grote bak sla met gefrituurde kappertjes en een paar Parmezaanse vlokken. Geen dressing te vinden. Bij navraag een bakje kruidendressing. De Dagschnitzel was ook een magnetronmaaltijd.

Zelfs op het drukke terras in het centrum was de bediening goed.

Heerlijk met zijn zessen genoten van een borrelplank en daarna ern heerlijke maaltijd. Was erg gezellig

Seeeehr leckeres Essen und unglaublich freundliche Bedienung. Da ich aufgrund von Allergien nicht alles essen kann, hat sich die liebe Kellnerin meine Allergene notiert und mir mehrere Alternativen zu Gerichten genannt. Meine Schwester, unsere Freundin und ich können es nur allen empfehlen dort zu Essen! Wer in Harderwijk ist, darf den Baron nicht verpassen!

Schaut euch dieses leckere Stück Apfelkuchen mit Schlag an. Es ist zwar in der City, aber auch dort gibt es ein schönes Ambiente, Altstadt👍👍

Supergoed eten, weinig restaurants met zo'n malse sparerib maar deze was echt goed! Het opnemen van de bestelling en het aanbieden van de kaart mag wat duidelijker en sneller. (Kaart staat op tafel, valt niet echt op, en bediening staat te kletsen met elkaar en heeft redelijk weinig aandacht voor de gasten). Nadat de bestelling was opgenomen ging de bediening sneller en waren ze erg gezellig. Kom hier zeker nog eens terug!
