Went to lunch with my girlfriend. My girlfriend had a wrap, and I had a carpaccio sandwich. It was covered in a lot of lettuce. The carpaccio looked very discolored. I called the waitress over, who said the blood had seeped out, and that it was still good and fresh! My girlfriend even told the waitress while clearing the table that it didn't look fresh, and that I hadn't eaten it. I ended up paying the full bill, but I didn't hear a word from her. Too bad.

A cozy, informal grand café. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The grand café is centrally located in the heart of Harderwijk. It has both a spacious terrace and a cozy interior. It boasts a good kitchen where the dishes are prepared with care and love and served deliciously in generous portions. Whether you're looking for a beer, a nice glass of wine, or a cup of coffee, this is the perfect place to go. In my opinion, they serve the best sausage roll in Harderwijk, and the farmer's omelet is also delicious. The dinner is also excellent. I'd love to come back for dinner. In short, a grand café you shouldn't miss. I give it a solid pass.

A cozy spot for lunch. It's in a city, but feels like a village. I hear a lot of greetings around me. When the locals come, it's always a positive experience. I go there occasionally myself, as I'm not from Harderwijk. Large terrace on the square, small terrace right outside. Very friendly service and delicious food! My favorite? The fish trio sandwich. Eel, salmon, and shrimp! Delicious every time I go! Please note: are you disabled or in a wheelchair? The toilet is only accessible via stairs.

Every year when we're in Harderwijk, we eat the spare ribs here. They're truly delicious and the portions are generous. The only thing I could do with a change is the pink salad; I find the flavor too overpowering, not particularly enjoyable. The service is friendly and very attentive.

We chose this restaurant because the menu seemed very family-friendly and the prices were moderate. Our expectations weren't too high, but they were more than exceeded. A beautiful location on Harderwijk's market square, very friendly and fast service, and good value for money. My husband loved his rib-eye steak. I loved my pork schnitzel with braised mushrooms, onions, and bacon. The kids had delicious burgers. As is typical in the Netherlands, they served it with fries and mayo. The drinks selection was also very good, especially the non-alcoholic selection. Thumbs up. We'll be back!

This was our first visit to De Graaf van Gelre, and it was a real highlight of our stay in Holland. We were particularly impressed by the croquettes we tried for the first time – absolutely nothing like German convenience foods. They were wonderfully crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and tasted simply amazing. A true treat that we would repeat anytime! We also had a carpaccio as a special, which was also impressive across the board – fresh, lovingly prepared, and delicious. The price-performance ratio was more than fair, especially for the quality offered here. As tourists, we felt very comfortable and can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. Friendly service, great food, and a pleasant atmosphere – we'd be happy to come back!

Enjoyed the tapas menu with friends. Instead of shared dining, we were served the tapas per person on a plate. It's a pity that 2 (almost identical) potato dishes are included in the menu: patatas bravas and huevos rotos (potatoes from the oven with chorizo ​​and egg). This served one after the other was actually too much potato. It was quite filling. A bit of a shame. Dessert with meringue was not a firm meringue. The egg white of the meringue on my lemon pie was weak and had only seen a burner. Fortunately, the service didn't keep asking if everything was to your liking. That in itself is nice, but we had to make an effort to attract attention if we wanted to order something to drink. While the business was far from well occupied.

We had to wait for the waiter to order, then the drinks came quickly, as did the food, which was super tasty. Only when we wanted to pay did the waiting start again. While the table of young ladies next to us could count on enough attention from the waiting staff.

Op mijn verjaardag maar eens een diner gereserveerd bij dit Grand Cafe Was rustig die avond.. dus lekker tafeltje bij het raam met uitzicht over de markt. Bediening zoals gewoonlijk vriendelijk en gastvrij . De drankjes in no time geserveerd. De gerechten volgden niet lang daarna. We hadden drie gangen menu. Tussen de gangen door rustig de tijd ( niet te lang) Kortom elke gang een verrukking. Kortom voor herhaling vatbaar. Prijs technisch zeer acceptabel voor drie gangen menu met consumpties. Gaan we een keertje overdoen.

On a beautiful late summer evening in October, we sat down here on the cozy terrace. Beautiful view of the square. Very attentive service. Treated to a delicious seasonal beer fresh from the tap, the buck is loose! Main course chosen; Iron steak from the grill. This was medium as requested. The taste of the grill was clearly recognizable. Served with coarse grilled vegetables complete the plate. It's also nice that you can choose between fries or potato wedges. The pork tenderloin is also recommended, where many flavors come together. A compliment for the friendly service and the delicious cuisine.

Nice restaurant on the market with a large terrace and typical dishes. Nothing fancy but neat and attractive. Children's menu not printed but available. Drink prices are reasonable compared to the restaurants on the boulevard.

Prima grand cafe in centrum harderwijk. Ruim terras aanwezig bij mooi weer. Bediening altijd vriendelijk en gastvrij. Nog geen ervaring met diner. Maar de ervaring heeft wel geleerd.: De lekkerste saucijzebroodjes Bestel je hier. Ook niet te versmaden de boeren omelet en voor de kleine trek de tosti. Voor bij de borrel hebben ze heerlijke garnituurtjes naar keuze. Zou zeggen loop er eens binnen. Aanrader.

We recommend. Nice personel. Food was great. We had the tapas 12 course menu. The crowd was almost unbearable. We weren't allowed to sit inside with a dog. But that wasn't a problem in summer temperatures.

Vanmiddag hebben wij genoten van een voortreffelijke High Tea. Alles heerlijk vers! En meer dan genoeg. Van een heerlijk warm broodje brie met walnoot en honing tot een zalige arretjescake! En nog veel andere lekkere dingen daartussen. 6 verschillende lekkere theesoorten, een karaf wat en een karaf jus d'orange. Wat een feest! Het enige "dingetje" was dat wij de toetjes niet helemaal op konden. Dat was geen probleem, een paar zakjes en alles kon heerlijk mee naar huis! Voor vanavond, bij de koffie. Een aanrader!

Toevallig was er een zonnetje op het terras, dus gauw ff lekker zitten.. De zon was al weg voordat we ons 1e drankje hadden.. Me vrouw had honger, dus even naar binnen en een broodplankje besteld. Een broodplankje van 11 euro en dan een stukje stokbrood wat smaakt als stokbrood van 69 cent van de Lidl en nog een paar stukjes brood die over waren en even getoast zijn, zodat het minder oud proeft.. De slechtste alioli die ik ooit geproefd heb.. Lijkt ook wel uit de supermarkt te komen en om het af te maken bevroren kruidenboter.. Nou dan heb je het allemaal niet echt begrepen.. Van de inrichting schieten ook de tranen in je ogen.. 1 extra ster voor de Hertog Jan van de tap..

Service was not friendly. When I asked for the bill, one person came to tell me that the other employee would come within 2 minutes to pay. That took much longer, but without saying a word she mentioned the amount.

Food was tasty and arrived quickly after ordering. Waitress spoke poor Dutch which was sometimes annoying but also funny.

Pork tenderloin was delicious, very tender, super tasty sauce together with delicious fresh fries!!! Good wine and a very tasty crème brulee. And be sure to try the homemade herb butter!

Warm up during a walk on Sunday afternoon. Delicious hot chocolate milk with whipped cream! 'No, sorry, it's gone'! Ok... hm... then make some fresh mint tea. 'No, sorry, it's gone'! Where is this going wrong?? We also had difficulty understanding each other because there was a musical exercise by a band/choir. Super fun outdoors or during a performance! But in a catering establishment where other guests are drinking and/or eating, a lot less.

Even de binnenstad van Harderwijk aangedaan. Leuk centrum. Voor de lunch gekozen voor de graaf van Gelre. Eenvoudige kaart, maar wel met een goede keuze. Boerenbrood met twee kroketten gekozen. De kroketten waren wat vettig en het brood veel te dik gesneden. DE bedeining had wat moeite om om ons te "vinden", terwijl er weinig andere gasten waren.

Heerlijk eten en snel klaar. Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel.

Lekker gelunched. Het duurde alleen een beetje lang voor we iets konden bestellen.
