The food was good. The menu vegetables were unclear, as was it free or the quantity? We were annoyed by the price of a glass of wine: €6.

Unfortunately, things have gone downhill fast since the new owner took over. We went yesterday with a large group for our 10th wedding anniversary. All the beef was tough. There were 4 large groups and several families, but only 3 waiters. My husband had a gastric bypass, so we had asked if we could share a sparerib menu (2 ribs); in the end, we were allowed 2 x 1 rib at €22 per menu instead of the promised menu of €29. This is the policy; otherwise, everyone would take advantage of it. Now, saying that we are taking advantage of a medical procedure is really antisocial! You get potatoes with mayonnaise, but you have to pay €0.70 for 1.5 teaspoons of mayonnaise. They don't know what vegetables are anymore either; well, a small bowl for €6! The menu says: T-bone steak with fried mushrooms, but you have to pay an extra €4 for the mushrooms. We have held multiple birthdays, weddings, and anniversaries with large groups (10-15 people) here over the past 10 years with a good experience, but…. I say this is the last anniversary/birthday we will celebrate at Tennessee!

During our visit to Harderwijk, we dined at Tennessee Steakhouse, and it was an excellent experience. The atmospheric decor fits a steakhouse perfectly. There is something beautiful to see everywhere, and the warm ambiance ensures that you feel welcome immediately. In addition, the staff was very friendly, hospitable, and attentive, which made the experience even more pleasant. For lovers of a good piece of meat, this is highly recommended. I chose the medium-rare steak, and it was perfectly prepared. The meat was tender, flavorful, and truly a feast for the taste buds. If I may offer one small tip, paying a little more attention to the presentation of the plate would make the overall experience even stronger. The presentation looked somewhat simple, whereas the quality of the food actually calls for a slightly more luxurious presentation. However, that does not detract from the fact that this was a great dining experience. If you are in Harderwijk and love a delicious piece of meat, a visit to Tennessee Steakhouse is simply a must.

A cozy restaurant with a wide selection of excellent meats at a very reasonable price. Served with potato wedges, in our case, green beans wrapped in bacon. A lovely complimentary mixed salad with dried and cherry tomatoes and cucumber. A nice, extensive dessert menu.

A very cozy eatery. Great meat that you practically slurp off the bone. There were five of us. A small bowl of fries and only a small container of sauce for 3 steaks is a bit too meager. After asking, sauce was added. A bit more proactiveness here, please. But otherwise, absolutely nothing to complain about. Friendly staff.

Very cozy atmosphere, friendly staff. We dined with a group and everyone enjoyed our meal. A starter, main course & dessert. The spareribs were delicious, and so tender that they fell right off the bone. The cheesecake dessert was the favorite at our table. We will definitely come back again.

The food was simply excellent. The staff was very busy and lacked a logical layout, so you simply had to ask someone to help you.

Charming restaurant with friendly service. The striploin was very disappointing; we can't recommend it. The nachos were very good as a starter, though! It's better to order the premium steak if you dine here. Hopefully, it will save you some disappointment!

It's comfortable, but the chairs are so small they hurt if you sit for long periods. The spare ribs aren't anything special; you'd be better off buying them elsewhere. No, I won't be going back.

Had dinner for the family. The food was delicious, with crispy baguettes, very tasty meat, delicious stir-fried vegetables and potato wedges, reasonably good desserts, and excellent coffee. The bill was very reasonable.

I've always found the restaurant to be great, but when you ask for a small container of mayonnaise and fries sauce and have to pay for it separately in a full-service restaurant, something's wrong. A restaurant with this reputation that relies on this should be deeply ashamed. Next time, I'll bring my own bottle of fries sauce to the restaurant because it's cheaper than asking for it in person.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at Tennessee. The food is generously sized, with just the right amount of meat for a satisfying dinner. The service is excellent and fast, especially considering the small space. There's a pleasant atmosphere both inside and outside, and plenty of seating. Personal expenses range from around €30 to €40. It's a great place to dine with family, or even for a team outing, such as soccer or work. I really enjoyed the food, especially the spareribs, where the meat simply fell off the bone—just the way spareribs should be grilled.

Two people dined here on a Tuesday evening. Parking is free and plentiful nearby. We received a warm welcome and were allowed to choose our own table. Friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere. The food was good, but the portions were a bit small. We had nachos as a starter and rump steak as a main course. Nachos for two people were actually too small for two. The steak was cooked well, but too rare on the inside for medium. We also got five green beans wrapped in bacon and one portion of fries for two. The desserts were very good. Enjoyed the food, but didn't go home feeling satisfied.

The potato wedges were crispy on the outside, floury on the inside. Bread with herb "butter" came first. It was called butter, but what was it? It was greasy and somewhat flavorless. After leaving, I was thirsty all evening and had to make an emergency trip to the restroom. Won't be back anytime soon.

The food was delicious. The spare ribs are highly recommended. What we missed were serving spoons for the fries, fried potatoes, salad, and mayonnaise. It wasn't hygienic to pick up with your hands, especially when there are several people. The waitress said it was served that way. I asked anyway and was given forks for serving. We really enjoyed the appetizers, the main course was also delicious, but we expected more. The portions were more than ample. We had a great meal for a reasonable price, but do make sure to book in advance as it gets busy. And don't dress too warmly, or sit in the conservatory, which is a bit cooler than inside.

Just had dinner here with the family. And everything was excellent!!!! I definitely recommend trying the steak here, among other things. Even the 9 and 6-year-olds thought it was better than their own children's menu. Well, that says a lot. Superb and wonderful staff. Kudos to the chef.

We ate here yesterday after randomly passing by and seeing the good online reviews. Honestly, it's a great place! The cold and hot appetizers were good, and the Tennessee spareribs were fantastic. The meat literally falls off the bone, and the honey/orange combination really complements it. All in all: highly recommended.

I went a few years ago and it was excellent. Now I can only say it was disappointing. The dry-aged wasn't dry-aged, but it was super dry and overcooked, and the piece was incredibly thin. Not recommended.

We received a warm welcome, and were able to choose a table in the conservatory. The service was smooth and knowledgeable, with a keen eye for detail! We opted for two dry-aged sirloin steaks. They were superbly prepared with fries and a salad. Everything was perfectly arranged!

No reservations, but there was plenty of room. Friendly service, delicious food. The spare ribs were delicious! The salad with the spare ribs was very meager (just one tomato), and the garlic sauce was too mayo-like. Otherwise, it was excellent!

Not great... No cutlery on the tables so you have to ask for it yourself, there seems to be little interest from the staff and I got sick from the chicken satay, I won't go back!

Anyone who knows the steakhouse from the past knows that it is getting worse and worse. Service just sufficient, because long before we got the food. No more extra dish for bones and you have to try to clean your hands with your napkin, no more lemon cloth.

Unfortunately disappointing for a steakhouse: The steaks were not all cooked the right way. Two medium rares differed considerably from each other and the rare was served wrong. We discovered that ourselves halfway. The taste of the meat was ok. The bill was steep. Overpriced in our opinion. Not to be repeated.

Had a lovely meal after a day of shopping. The fried mushrooms were delicious, the spareribs delicious, and the salmon is also recommended. Actually everything was delicious, only I expected the classic tiramisu. Unfortunately it was not as I am used to from Italy, but it was okay. We could choose a spot where we wanted to sit.

Good food, but most people come for the spareribs. These are also delicious.

I would have loved to give 5 stars because the food was delicious, but unfortunately I do have a number of points of interest: 1. I had already made a reservation for a table at 7:00 PM more than 3 weeks earlier. We came with 8 people, but had to wait at the bar for over half an hour because our table was not yet available. 2. We then had to wait more than an hour until we were served our food. 3. I have indicated well in advance that I have allergies. Yet I was served a plate with one of my allergies on it. I also ordered ketchup and mayonnaise was served. 4. After waiting an hour it turned out that the order of one of the guests had not been written down. Where we had waited an hour for our food, the forgotten dish could suddenly be served within two minutes. All in all: a delicious meal for a good price, but if you have allergies, pay extra attention to what is on your plate and patience is sometimes a virtue. I do plan to visit Tennessee in the future.

I like to eat ribs and have eaten quite a few around the world, including in the U.S. of course. wherever I have worked. The ribs at the Tennessee in Harderwijk are among the best I have ever eaten. The doneness, the spices, the finish... I live 175 km from the restaurant. But I'll come back for these ribs.....

After a long time I eat here again, always for the spare ribs, it was very disappointing, the meat is different than before, oily and not much taste, such a shame, it was always very good

Hadn't been here in a while Menu had changed. I missed the pork stew and snitzel. I don't like fish and I don't like chicken satay either. I did it anyway because this seemed the most appropriate to me. I didn't like the taste so I didn't eat it all. My table companion always eats chicken satay but he didn't like it either. Fried Champions and mustard soup were good hence the 4 stars. I won't be eating there again anytime soon, but tastes differ

First visit here. Preparing a steak properly proves difficult. Although it was at the right temperature (and taste) on the outside, the inside was lukewarm. Probably all prepared medium rare in the steamer or sous-vide. That's possible, but you have to make sure you keep them warm... Problem was raised and it was resolved. It's a shame that the chef sticks his finger in your steak instead of a thermometer. Service very friendly and helpful! So maybe again for a second try, but the first impression was disappointing.

We used to eat here regularly, but unfortunately a lot has changed. The portions are now extremely small, and this is especially noticeable if you are a group of five. We received two mini containers of potatoes, and although the first order was free, the second round suddenly turned out to incur extra costs. This only became clear on the bill, which was quite disappointing for us. In addition, we also received mini containers of sauce that were also insufficient in proportion. The service also left much to be desired; it was a quiet Tuesday evening, but we were hardly asked if everything was to our liking or if we wanted to order anything. Too bad, because it really brings down the experience.

Food was great, highly recommended to go. We only wanted ice cream after dinner, the table was cleared and no one was seen there for a while. Then we decided to pay and go home. Thought it was a letdown on a very nice evening there.
