We had a delicious lunch here with a group of 10 people. They also had good vegetarian options.

Way too expensive for the food you get. 78 euros for 2 people for a mixed grilled plank. A small piece of salmon, a bit of beef, a chicken leg, and 2 prawns. The grilled vegetables consisted of 1 carrot cut in half, 2 slices of zucchini and 2 slices of eggplant, 2 asparagus spears, and 2 pieces of endive. And this for 2 people. I'm sorry, but paying so much for this is outrageous. Do you want mayonnaise with your fries? Sure, but 1 euro 20 for a small container of mayo... So, this is a one-off and never again.

An experience as it should be. Delicious food, a fantastic steak with flavorful barbecued vegetables, delicious desserts, and a liqueur to go with your coffee. You can tell they're making an effort for you. Friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommended.

Cozy restaurant with an open kitchen. You can watch the chefs prepare everything. We started with a deluxe bread roll with four different spreads. For our main course, we opted for a mixed platter, which included a piece of salmon, prawns, chicken, steak, sirloin steak, and various grilled vegetables. The platter had two sauces: a béarnaise and a pepper sauce. The meat and fish were perfectly seasoned and very tender. This platter also came with a small bowl of fresh Spanish fries with chili peppers. They also served three sauces with it: aioli, mayonnaise, and a refreshing, delicious chimichurri. For dessert, we chose a chocolate cake with a scoop of Snickers ice cream. A dame blanche with delicious warm chocolate sauce. And two scoops of Snickers ice cream. The service was very polite, attentive, and ensured you didn't have to ask for drinks, and the food arrived within a reasonable timeframe. Our experience was an 8.5 for this cozy and clean restaurant. Kudos 👍🏻

I had a quick bite to eat on Sunday. The price-quality ratio isn't right; it's too expensive for what you get. I had fish soup for my main course, €23. I didn't know there were so many potatoes in the sea; it had more potato slices than fish. The fish in it had a lot of bones. According to the staff, that always came with fish :-(

The waiters were very rude and inattentive. Cream was spilled on me, and there were no napkins on the table. When I mentioned it, they brought me a crumpled napkin from inside, and it felt like toilet paper. Our dessert arrived very late and wasn’t good, but beyond that, the service was terrible.

If you love fish, you'll be pleased to know they have a wide selection of "fish of the day," all perfectly prepared. They're also open every day of the week, so you can dine out early in the week as well.

Coffee in the sun! Apple pie, unfortunately, looks and tastes average, frozen pie. The coffee was good. The waiter was rather self-assured and showed little empathy when I commented that I couldn't really find "Veluwe" in this Veluwe apple pie. He very firmly and emphatically claimed they were made with real Veluwe apples and by real Veluwe bakers. Well... It wasn't bad, but it wasn't tasty either.😏

De Boterlap in Harderwijk has a lovely, large terrace. However, all the chairs are covered in bird droppings. They're the only ones in the market that suffer from this problem. So, go with old clothes.

Lovely terrace, very friendly service. We had lunch, and the sandwiches weren't cheap, but the quality was truly superb, so definitely value for money!

This is the kind of shop where you just end up getting annoyed, and that applies to several other shops in the city center, and the young staff...especially during the tourist season, they get stressed out quite quickly...too bad, there's plenty to do outside the city center. Recommended: 'De keet van Kees&Lotte' in the Slingerbos. .

Beautiful spot in the heart of Harderwijk. Made a mistake on the bill. Three whipped creams were added to one apple pie. Luckily, I discovered it and got my money back.

The cola turned out to be postmix, with the glass half-filled with ice. Price: €3.60. The staff couldn't do anything about it, but I felt ripped off. Two sips and the glass was empty.

Fish dish was great. Pulled chicken was almost cold/ also indicated: sorry and ready. The order was ready within 3 minutes so they didn't take the time for it. Service is very fast! and friendly. Price is quite high but that is personal. Salmon sandwich with mackerel is 16 euros. When visiting the toilet a staff member came running after us: what are you going to do! Yes we have eaten here too indeed. Comes across as very unfriendly

I don't think it's a good thing, the service takes a long time, you have to ask yourself if you can order and you get a grumpy response.

We had a quick lunch there. Service was great, food was less so and therefore relatively expensive.

Eaten 14-5-25. The service was friendly, but we had the chef's soup of the day: asparagus soup: it tasted sour! and there was not a single piece of asparagus in it €10,=! And the salad with fish €23,= was the fish: 3 shrimps and a piece of salmon/mackerel for a meal salad far too little fish! Our experience price quality ratio far to seek. We felt cheated.

Day trip to Harderwijk and made a reservation here for lunch. We were able to choose a table in the sun and immediately received the tickets. After that no one came and after waiting for quite some time we asked the waitress if we could order something. Main courses were really tasty. So on to dessert. The menu said apple pie. Still, just to be sure, I asked if this was fresh. Server said this was fresh. When you arrived at the table you saw this was frozen cake. Unfortunately, missed opportunity. The creme brulee was also not tasty, seemed like it was from yesterday. Overall service not good and the bad dessert overshadowed the good main course.

It looks cozy from the outside. The service was excellent, the food and drinks were quite expensive. Sandwich in advance 2 main courses 1 dessert 2 soft drinks 1 cappuccino and 1 hot chocolate €91.50. You pay a lot extra for every extra. Toilet was also not very clean. We won't come here again

Super lækker mad vil rimelig priser. Hyggelig indretning. Vi fik brisket sandwich og fritter med trøffelmayo og parmesan. Det var virkelig lækkert og maden kom hurtigt. God beliggenhed lige ved torvet. Betjening var sød og venlig. Så alt i alt et godt sted.

Very cozy terrace, top location

- Service was smooth - The “nacho con pollo” was/is actually just a plate full of nacho crumbs, and you really have to look for the chicken. Fortunately the bitterballen were fine. - I thought it was very unhygienic that the barmaids constantly 'scooped' the ice cubes with their bare hands and then put them in the glasses, unfortunately I found that out too late 😄. In the meantime, they touch everything that their other colleagues also touch.

In one word fantastic, such a friendly girl in the service who took care of everything down to the last detail in a cozy atmosphere. Compliments also for the chefs, a delicious dinner with soup as a starter and as a main course meat and fish with Spanish fries and grilled vegetables. My endometriosis diet was also taken into account. Very nice and everything was so tasty. Thanks again for the cozy evening and the good care.

Why are the prices of the drinks missing from the menu on the terrace and on the website via the QR code? It is mandatory to mention the prices of food and drinks. Didn't eat so no stars. Their excuse: The reason we don't have prices on our drinks menu is because prices fluctuate enormously and we therefore cannot put the current price on the menu. If you have any questions about prices in the future, please do not hesitate to ask the staff.

This restaurant is absolutely amazing! It's charming and beautiful. Personnel is nice, kind and professional. Food was delicious. Everything we ordered was super tasty, fresh and best quality. I recommend wagyu steak coocked to perfection and gamba's al ajilio; For the dessert pistachio bombasstic and cheese plate "Boterlap". We spend there a really good time and definitely will come back. Nice spot in the center of Harderwijk. Service was fine, but they charged decent prices for what they offered. Fish of the day was less than 100 grams of fish, on a meager plate. Fortunately you got Spanish fries, but these turned out to be thick fries with some grilled pieces of garlic. A bit of a deception. If you pay something, you expect something...

Ik kwam naar de boterlap met mijn vienden om voor mijn verjaardag een drankje te doen. Wij zijn vervolgens binnen en een groep zoekt ruzie met een vriend van mij. De beveiliging kwam er heel snel tussen om t te sussen wat goed is. Vervolgens begint de beveiliging mijn vriend(die niks deed) super hard handig eruit te gooien(dit kan ik begrijpen is hun werk. Wat ik niet begrijp is dat de zelfde groep jongens hem buiten op staat te wachten de beveiligers hem letterlijk voor de leeuwen gooien, wij die naar buiten willen om hem te helpen worden tegen gehouden. en vervolgens worden wij door de zelfde beveiliging geslagen geduwd en bij de keel gegrepen. Deze jongen werd voor een groep van 20 man gegooid en inplaats van daar wat aan doen hielden ze mensen die naar buiten wouden om hem te helpen tegen. Hoe mag jij als beveiliging mensen niet toestaan om de vestiging te verlaten, en dat terwijl er een jonge gozer die jij er net hebt uitgegooid voor de deur in elkaar word gemept. Ik heb nog nooit zo iets mee gemaakt en hoop t nooit meer mee te maken.

It was really delicious! Excellent. Price quality is top! I wouldn't go in here at first, but I will! You won't be disappointed. Definitely want to come here more often. Often at another place in my hometown because I love it there. but this might be better. And you can order most main courses in small and large sizes, which is ideal. We had (luxury) breakable bread with 5 spreads and the main course was delicious. The carpaccio starter was also enough for a main course. In short, definitely eat here. And also drink a great choice of wine (on the high side, but really top wine), bubbles and just fresh, also liqueurs (for coffee) and desserts, also tasty and good choices! The only downsides were that there was some kind of cookie with the dessert and it was stuck to the saucer, the appearance of the outside and no music... (maybe it was because of the adjacent skating rink, but that was it. In short, fantastic... come eat here

What a nice place and great that the Boterlap is open on Mondays. Delicious food, there are very good chefs in the kitchen. We opted for steak tartare and duo deer. Highly recommended!! Furthermore, friendly and interested staff. Keep it up!!!

Delicious food! Very nice place to eat in Harderwijk. I had the ceaser salad myself, it was 22 euros. But worth the price. And I think that's great. It is a somewhat higher segment, but the quality is also high. The service is friendly. Furthermore, my friend had a sirloin steak which was also really good. We sat inside on a Saturday evening; quite fine. You can also sit outside on the square. All in all, highly recommended if you want to have dinner in Harderwijk.

Nice eatery. It's a good place to sit there in the center of Harderwijk. The restaurant is authentic with striking glass views to the cellar and/or foundations. The service is smooth and friendly. We had tuna salad o the bread and it was tasty. The coffee is drinkable and the price was acceptable.

Service team is excellent. Special compliment to Rachel ( she is a true asset ) and the lady from Spain . We have to mention the two young little boys who was collecting the glasses from the tables and the other one bringing the clean plates to the kitchen. Keep on going .

Could wait until we weighed an ounce. Apparently they can't handle crowds, that's not how you run a catering business. In the end we left again without drinking or eating anything. My advice is to stay away when it's busy.

We stopped here during a bike tour! Absolutely great! Super friendly service (brought us the German menu straight away) and we got drinks and food very quickly! Tuna salad sandwich and pullet pork tasted excellent.

What a terrible service here, asked the lady if she had ever heard what customer friendly was, then we had to go to another tent. Then she starts talking about us to another employee. When they brought the bitterballen, 3 of them fell off the bowl because the gentleman kept the bowl crooked. You should then get a new bowl or new bitterballen and not say nothing and walk away. If you want good service you have to go to the Boulevard, where they are perfect in their service

That was a major setback. We reported it to the waiter and she would pass it on to the kitchen. We have nothing more to do with it...

After a day of sauna in a village further away, we walked into beautiful Harderwijk. Coincidentally, we passed by the cozy terrace of De Boterlap around dinner time. Nice service, and after the great starter we were looking forward to the main course. Unfortunately this was a bit disappointing, the steak was small, even though we had asked for the larger one and the pokebowl was not what we expected. Our specific dietary requirements were not met, but this was neatly resolved. We will definitely come back here again.
