Great food! Portion was alot! First time trying Yemen food. We loved the hummus, bread, rice, lamb, and chicken! Highly Recommended!

Cold served food & Rude staff. This not how you run a business… what a shame

The taste of food is not delicious,,, I ordered mandi and fahsa ,, it was cold and the taste was not good ,, there is better choices in Amsterdam

We ordered two chicken mandi dishes, and after a long wait of almost an hour and a half, only one meal arrived. Since we were staying at a hostel, I had asked them to send the cutlery, but even the spoon didn't arrive. I called the restaurant and explained the problem. They coldly replied that maybe the staff forgot. Okay, that's not a big deal, but what's even more outrageous is that they told me to come back tomorrow to pick up the meal. I paid 3 euros for delivery and 5 euros for service, and the mistake was yours! How am I supposed to come back tomorrow when my flight isn't until 10 AM? The poet was right when he said: "If you have no shame, do as you please."

Order not fully delivered; comments ignored. Taste: meh.

Delicious food with friendly staff!

The staff's treatment was very bad. I ordered a meat stew with daqoos (a spicy tomato sauce), and the employee brought the daqoos but said it was missing vodka. When I went to pay, the cashier refused euro coins because he had too many. This happened yesterday at 9:30 PM.

They'll probably never get a Michelin star. And that's not to mention the fact that halfway through our meal, the owner had to personally turn on the many, many wires in a cabinet above the pots (the music had stopped), but the shakshuka was delicious. Combined with their flatbread, the ambiance of an extra plastic tablecloth, the lack of personal plates, and the prices, Yemen Restaurant is an absolute gem in Amsterdam.

Came here with friends. Had a delicious meal. The staff was friendly and polite.

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, but unfortunately, the meat was almost entirely fatty, with about half the portion being fat. I wasn't happy with it, even though the other dishes were good. This is the second time I've ordered, and the meat was disgustingly fatty. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was good, and the juice was great. 👍

My experience at Yemen Restaurant was genuinely delightful. The place is clean, and every dish feels fresh, as if it was prepared with real care and attention. What truly stands out is their fish and seafood dishes of all kinds. Each plate carries a gentle wave of flavor that lingers pleasantly after every bite. The seasoning is balanced, and the cooking is done with a confidence you can taste. I especially recommend the fried calamari—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and it practically melts the moment it touches your tongue. In short: a restaurant that offers a memorable blend of authentic flavors and fresh seafood. Definitely worth visiting more than once.

I've had several delicious meals at the first restaurant, now across the street at the Yemen fish restaurant, deliciously well grilled fish!!! And the shrimp are top notch.

A very authentic Yemeni restaurant, we tried 4 variations of lamb with rice, all very good. The bread was amazing, salads not their strong side, tea with cardamon at the end a must. The WC was not the cleanest and the service was not reliable.

One of the best Arabic restaurants I've visited in the Netherlands. The atmosphere is Yemeni. The authentic Yemeni taste. The food and the place are clean. The service is excellent. And most importantly, what worried us was the prices. I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent prices. I give them ten stars!

Today we were at a Yemeni restaurant in Amsterdam and ordered mandi lamb, fahsa, and for dessert, areeka and masoub. Honestly, it was unbeatable. The staff were very professional and excellent.

Good food and experience with Yemeni Cuisine, but u need to be really on empty stomach cuz the meals are heavy, full of rice, fatty beef/chicken and bread.

If you’re a rice lover, this is definitely the place for you! They serve amazing Yemeni dishes that are authentic, aromatic, and super flavorful. I go here almost every week because it honestly feels like homemade food. The lamb chunks are cooked to perfection ..so tender and full of flavor , and the smoked rice is something you don’t easily find in Amsterdam. The chicken dishes are also delicious, with a unique and distinctive taste. Service can be a bit up and down at times, but the quality of the food more than makes up for it. Overall, this spot is a real hidden gem and highly recommended for anyone craving Yemeni cuisine!

Beware! Beware! Beware! If you want to lose your temper and have a stomach ache! And upset stomach! Go eat there. It's an expensive restaurant and the stench is so bad it's almost a meter away!

food was so good but the prices was a litle expensive . for example fahsa which is a well cooked meat one dish for one person is for about 17 euros .
