Wonderful, everything was perfect. Definitely worth repeating!

Boring beetroot flavor? Not with the party Mo builds around it. Then a Tunisian classic: brik à l'oeuf. Hysterically delicious? Still! Vegetarian couscous as a main course, followed by a refined parfait with warm orange sauce. Delicious Tunisian verdejo and a glass of fig liqueur. Zitoun is always worth it.

Chef Mo never disappoints. Just never. We thoroughly enjoyed the four-course dinner, the habibi cocktail, and the Tunisian wine. It's always wonderful to dine here and savor Tunisian cuisine, but it's also the warm hospitality of Annemieke, Mo, and their team that truly makes for a wonderful evening. We'll definitely be back.

I truly enjoyed the dinner at Zitoun. The place was cosy and has a relaxed atmosphere. The food was unpretentious - just simply tasty and balanced. The portions are quite big, so it’s good value for money. They also have a good selection of cocktails and wines. Chef Mo and Annemieke were both personable and they paid attention to details. Overall, it was a good introduction for me to Tunisian cuisine. Highly recommended!

With my work, twelve people celebrated our Christmas dinner here. Delicious wines and fantastic food. Service was warm and hospitable. The Chef really knows what he is doing with subtle flavors and beautiful preparations of vegetables, meat, fish and shellfish. Vegetarian and vegan guests were also very well taken into account. We will definitely come back.

One of my colleagues, who is Tunisian, introduced the team to the wonderful cuisine of her country in this restaurant. The entire experience ticked all the boxes, the food was excessive and tasteful, the service perfect and the entire atmosphere great, but is what you also make it yourself. So not a single thing to complain about. We also had one vegan and some vegetarians in our group and also those diet wishes were taken into consideration in the best way possible. So big thumbs up. We discovered the restaurant by chance while on holiday three years ago and were immediately impressed. It is a bit off the beaten track, which is reflected in the fact that there are very few walk-in customers. The hosts, Annemieke and Mo, are incredibly warm and strive to ensure their guests have an unforgettable evening. Mo, the chef, not only brings passion to his dishes, but also cooks at a high level. His creations stand out clearly from the standard. Back then we were able to choose from a well-stocked menu, but today the restaurant is unfortunately only open one day a week when only a menu is served. Special requests will be accommodated wherever possible, but no major deviations from the menu are possible. Last Saturday my wife and I were able to enjoy the menu and were thrilled. Every walk reflected Mo's passion and skill. For just 39.50 euros we got four excellent courses - a really fair price for what was on offer. We very much hope that the restaurant and the two hosts will stay with us for a long time, because we would miss the wonderful evenings and the fantastic food when we are there again.

I would highly recommend this restaurant for everyone that likes Tunisian dishes or wants to explore different cuisine. Great hospitality and ambiance. The staff is open and flexible to discuss the options if you want to do a workshop or have wishes that are not included in the menu.

Haven't had such a good meal in a long time! Everything was tasty, with fresh ingredients and the flavors were really nicely matched. The employees were friendly and helpful. We had a quick chat with the owner/chef. Extremely nice and warm man, you can tell he enjoys his work. We don't live nearby but will definitely come back more often! It is more than worth the detour!

25-05-2024: Made a reservation at Zitoun again. Enjoy three courses. The Plat Tunesien beforehand is a feast for the tongue. Fresh, slightly spicy and not too heavy. My wife enjoyed the Pulpo salad. The Couscous Lamb was truly delicious. The meat fell off the bone and was tender and pleasantly spicy. The grilled vegetables tasted good. The couscous deserves a special mention: wonderfully fluffy and spicy! The desserts were also a success. As an aperitif I drank a mix of Van Kleef's Perfect Happiness and Cava, called Habibi, a nice bubble with a pleasant floral sweetness. The Tunisian rosé was a successful accompaniment to the Couscous Lamb: dryly sweet, slightly spicy, as it should be with lamb. Zitoun is an absolute must. June 2021 Enjoyed three top dishes that were picked up this evening. What a feast of flavors. Truly every bite of every dish was a feast for the nose and tongue. We are already looking forward to the reopening of the catering industry, so that we can also enjoy the delicious dishes on site! Zitoun is a culinary addition to the Belgian Park.

Absolutely lovely experience! The food was amazing and so was the service as well as the presentation! They were very helpful in explaining the dishes, very friendly and overall just very joyful. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

I came across this place while looking for authentic couscous restaurant. The restaurant is quite small but nice. The food was great! Starters options are very limited but you can’t go wrong with any of the options. The brake is SO delicious and they have a vegetarian version of it, the meatball was super tasty too and the complementary bread was fresh and warm! We ordered the stable menu item lamb couscous and that was the star of the menu indeed. The portion is good for one person though. We also had fish in tomato sauce, it was okay but a bit salty for my taste but I guess it is meant to be cooked this way. For dessert we had sticky date cake, this was so so as it’s too sweet and couldn’t taste the date. To end the meal we had the famous Tunisian tea, that was great and loved the authentic way of serving it. Overall a different experience than usual restaurant, great service and super delicious food!

The food at Zitoun is great, the price-quality ratio is very good. A major drawback concerns the operation. During our three-course meal, we as guests were extremely pressured to hurry up with our food. There was very little time between courses, which ultimately made for an unpleasant dining experience. This was absolutely not the fault of the food, which was very tasty and the portions were also very generous. I fear this was more due to clumsy operation.

The food is good, but the meals are suitable for Europeans As Tunisians, it is not suitable for us. The quantity is small. Good luck.

We had such a wonderful dinner at Zitoun, it exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended! The warm and stylish restaurant was easy to find, and we received a warm welcome by founder and host Annemieke. The food was incredible, so tasty and just the right portions. Wine recommendation was great too and service likewise. Chef came to our table for a quick chat which was appreciated, as he shared his personal background and story about Tunisia. We'll definitely be back!

If you are looking for a restaurant with a nice atmosphere and delicious food, then this is the place for you. Mo puts the best Tunisian dishes on the table and maître Annemieke knows how to receive guests! Together they ensure that I have a pleasant evening every time. About 2 years ago I received the tip to go here, and it has been my number 1 restaurant ever since! In addition, everything is possible! If you want to organize a dinner for a group or surprise someone, they will think along with you! I have now moved outside The Hague, but it is more than worth it to drive to Zitoun for this. Mo and Annemieke thank you for your concerns!

We went to eat here with my friend last Saturday. Being both Tunisian and foodies; we came with high expectations and we were amazed and surprised by the whole experience. We asked for the menu a la carte and we got the brik; the ain sbanyouria and as main; couscous and kabkabou All tasted wonderfully. It was authentic Tunisian but with a twist; elegant and delicious. PS: special mention to the ain sbanyouria; my favorite of the night. You should have it always on the menu. Also; the chef and his wife Annemieke are wonderful hosts and you can feel the passion and the love they have for the Tunisian cuisine.

We had an excellent meal at Zitoun restaurant yesterday. Chef Mo and Dali's dishes were all delicious and each course offered something surprising. The friendly staff and the opportunity to take a photo with the chefs at the end completed the experience. Well worth a visit!

With a group of nine we had a wonderful dinner! The dishes were really authentic and very tasty! You will not find these dishes anywhere else in the Netherlands. Alles is geweldig aan dit restaurant: het eten smaakt authentiek Tunesisch met een klassieke twist, de eigenaren zijn heel gedreven en geven je persoonlijke aandacht, en de sfeer is warm en huiselijk. Op weinig plekken kun je nog nieuwe smaken ervaren maar hier kan dat nog wel: op het menu staan gegarandeerd smaken die je nog nooit geproefd hebt. Als (deels) Tunesische kan ik dit restaurant heel erg aanraden! Bovendien zijn Tunesische restaurant erg zeldzaam dus het is een must-go!

Mijn ouders dansen met veel plezier op de muziek. Het eten is zeer lekker en een klein beetje pikant. Leuke bordjes en lekkere couscous. Kom zeker langs!

Wat heerlijk om hier te zijn. Wij kenden de Tunesische keuken niet echt maar het menu en de inrichting biedt een heel leuk inkijkje op de cultuur en het eten. De hartelijke chef besteedt er ook echt veel aandacht aan om de gasten het echte Tunesie te laten proeven. Hij vertelde dat hij regelmatig naar Tunesie rijdt en vol inspiratie terugkomt en dit dan weer verwerkt in zijn gerechten. Het eten was heerlijk, de sfeer erg prettig en de gastvrouwen heel gezellig. We hebben een heel fijne en gezellige avond gehad in dit knusse restaurantje. Het eten was heerlijk (ik had van tevoren even moeten opgeven dat ik vegetariër ben denk ik, dan was er misschien iets meer keuze geweest, gezien de klantvriendelijkheid, dus dat doe ik de volgende keer). Leuke spontane geïnteresseerde bediening, top! Uiteindelijk best wat moeten afrekenen (130 euro voor twee personen) maar dat komt omdat we voor, hoofd en toetje besteld hebben, met zelfs een dessert drankje erbij. Ik bestel eigenlijk nooit een toetje maar de Tunesische pavlova was overheerlijk. Voor herhaling!

Heerlijk gegeten. Het was jammer dat we niet de hele avond konden tafelen omdat we naar de musical gingen.

Wat hebben we hier lekker gegeten! We waren met z’n 3en. Alle gerechten waren echt heel smaakvol, hier wordt gewoon heel goed gekookt. De zaak wordt gerund door een stel dat met liefde werkt, dat kun je echt merken.

Had the DELICIOUS pleasure to dine at Zitoun yesterday and I am still savoring the rich yet well-balanced taste of the mezze and the main dish. Oh my goodness this is such a gem of a restaurant! Mo is a super talented and graciously humble chef whose passion for Tunisian food came to life by delighting us with his carefully crafted spins on tradition (like adding creamy aardpeer/sunchoke with my main which was seabass). Annemieke is the cool hostess who binds the whole experience together and with her sparkling presence made me feel I never have to leave.. which results in me already planning for my next dinner here.

We came on Sunday 23/04 in the evening. We were the only customers and were annoyed, for fear of disturbing when the restaurant could have closed earlier. We were welcomed wonderfully, by a team of an incredible kindness and attention. The warm atmosphere of this place makes the meal magical. The cooking is done with passion, and you can feel it. We chose the lamb couscous and the shashuka, everything was deliciously well cooked. The service is of a great quality. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful evening thanks to all these elements. Thank you very much for your great hospitality, your superior quality cuisine. If we come back to The Hague, we will be back with great pleasure! With love from Paris

Fantastisch eten, fijne sfeer en super service. Leuk om een keer een andere soort keuken te kunnen eten.

Helemaal uit Twente voor een dagje Den Haag. Had mijn vrouw bij het zoeken naar een leuk restaurant haar oog laten vallen op dit restaurant Zitoun. Zelf hadden wij geen ervaring met Tunesisch eten en gingen wij puur af op de goede recensies en de mooie foto’s. We voelden aan dat hier met liefde word gekookt en dat gevoel werd bewaarheid na ons bezoek. We hebben enorm genoten van de prachtige en heerlijke wijn, de voorgerechten en de overheerlijke hoofdgerechten. Daarnaast was de bediening super aardig en werd er met trots uitgelegd over het ontstaan van het restaurant en de gerechten en wijnen. De chef-kok nam ook even een kijkje in het restaurant en kwam bij je aan tafel om te vragen of alles naar wens is. Kortom we hebben super genoten en als we weer in Den Haag zijn komen we zeker terug. Heel veel succes Zitoun Team.
