Unfortunately, the food was disappointing due to the sashimi mix. The tuna and salmon had a very unpleasant oyster flavor, and the service was subpar. We would have liked to order more food and drinks! The Valentine's Day decorations were excellent.

The food was genuinely good. But man, the service. First, we waited 20 minutes before even being offered a drink. First round order (soup and gyoza) we waited 30 minutes. Second round (12 pieces of sushi) we waited 45 minutes. Last round (20 pieces) After 40 minutes, the waitress arrived with half an order because the correct one had been accidentally given to another table. The rest would follow as soon as possible. We waited another 30 minutes for this. We then went to ask what was going on and were told that "they're going to cut the fish for us now." So we canceled the order and asked for the bill. When we received the bill, it turned out to be wrong, with drinks listed that we hadn't consumed. We were given a small bottle of cava as an apology, which was nice. But this wasn't good service for a first-time customer.

After an excellent first experience, unfortunately now a bad experience. Indicated delivery time 20 to 45 minutes. Unfortunately we waited 2 hours for the order. Explanation: it was busy. No extra to compensate. This crowd probably also caused: - formatting was sloppy, - some sushi fell apart, - sticks were wet, and - crispy chicken salad was wet and unimaginative Overall a disappointing experience.

Surprising Japanese restaurant in Portland. My colleague had made a reservation and both were surprised from the first dish: beautiful presentation, good advice, thoughtful gluten-free food, delicious taste. Definitely worth repeating.

Ordered Sushi a number of times now and it is really great. Fresh and a beautiful presentation. Really much better than most other Sushi delivery companies. You pay a little more, but you also get quality. They also take the time to call you if something is unclear. Please take the delivery time into account. For me that is usually about an hour, but if you calculate that in advance, it is more than worth it.

Ordered for the first time today and ordered for 61 euros. That wasn't enough for us and we are not big eaters. The food is beautifully presented, with flowers added, but it doesn't make the food any better. The food is good, don't get me wrong. As far as we are concerned, the price-quality is not okay. The menu is also very limited to what we are used to. The two points above are responsible for the bad review. Ultimately we end up back at our regular sushi place, which has a more extensive menu, for less money and the quality is the same or better.

I celebrated my son's birthday here with family and friends. The food was delicious and the service was top notch. At the end we got a bottle of wine to take home. Definitely recommended. ❤️

While looking for a Japanese restaurant we came across Akaito, the reviews were especially good. Easy parking in front of the door without parking costs is a plus and reserved in advance, you never know. The menu is not too extensive and that makes the choice easier. We listed everything we wanted to eat and it left us wanting more. Beautiful dishes and pure taste. The 2nd round with a number of dishes including Hosomaki tuna avocado - Uramaki -ebi rock tempura Teppan grill yaki gyu kushi - sweet potato - tempura ebi Perfect. Everything looked neat. We found our Japanese restaurant and will be back soon.

Sushis are beautifully served. The taste is fresh and unique. Everything on the menu is delicious. Miso soup was good, chicken satay soft and full of flavor and the various rolls… try it! Nice employees, very attentive and cooperative. Recommended!

We live around the corner from Akaito and let me tell you, if you like sushi, you MUST be here! First of all, the service is excellent. We ordered takeaway today and asked if they could call us when our order is ready. A little later a friendly woman calls us enthusiastically and cheerfully to tell us that we can pick it up. Once inside, she greets me with a big smile and makes sure the food meets my wishes. The other woman at the counter was also super sweet. Many employees in the catering industry can still learn a lot from them! In addition, the photos speak for themselves: beautifully presented and well packaged. The sushi tasted delicious too! We could eat here every day ;p ⭐️We recommend the Hotate nigiri and Ebi rock tempura!

This tent does not deserve to have positive reviews. The atmosphere is reasonable at best, although the black walls are very atmospheric... luckily the Christmas decorations are still there. The hygiene is absolutely disgusting, there are cobwebs from the 1st World War still hanging on the lamps above the tables, check every lamp you see.....The menu cards look as if they have been devoured by a group of all you can eat customers, downright dirty and broken. The kitchen has rusted pans!!!! And is at most unprofessional. Then the food, the food is of reasonable quality. Although the rice is tasteless. The ungai (eel) can be compared to a rubber shoe sole. Luckily they throw fake truffle caviar on everything, so that's all you taste. What a bad tent this is, the toilet is super dirty. I don't understand how this restaurant can still exist.

It was very quiet, which somewhat diminished the atmosphere. On the other hand, the food was served quickly. What the atmosphere lacked was more than made up for by the food. That was delicious, but the crispy chicken (fried?) was a bit disappointing, but definitely recommended to try.

We ordered €100 worth of sushi tonight. Once they arrived, it seemed like they had been very wild along the way and everything was mixed up. It was like a puree. We called them immediately and sent photos. The person on the phone tried to justify it and said that he could see which sushis were available. When he heard that we were angry, we were told that we had to give the sushi that had been delivered back to the delivery person and get a new batch. 30 minutes later we received a new shipment, this time with spoiled fish. After the first bite we immediately spit out the sushi. Don't know if this was intentional, but what poor service. This was not our first time but certainly the last time. You can expect good service and sushi for such prices. I really don't think €100 for such a container and then a container with spoiled fish is acceptable.

Voortreffelijk sushi! If you know of a place that makes better sushi than Akaito I'd like to hear it. They haven't disappointed once!

Strange location in shopping center. Nicely decorated, could use some atmosphere. The service is excellent, friendly, explains well. The taste of the dishes... Delicious! Well balanced, nice flavors. It's Japanese, so small snacks. You will also receive chopsticks. If you add rice, it is a bit difficult, because it is loose-grained rice. Desserts are fine, maybe a bit much. Eerste keer toen bij Akaito kwam had ik voor twee een plate deluxe van 64 stuks (Chef's choice) genomen. Presentatie was zeer leuk en zijn we goed geholpen. Uiteraard hebben we heerlijk gegeten, er werd ons ook verteld wat we op onze bord hadden. De kennis van Sushi zit bij Akaito hoog. Dit is zeker niet te vergelijken met een "all you can eat" tot nu toe ben ikzelf de tel al kwijt en is het tot nu toe elke keer weer raak. Vooral de verse wasabi is mijn persoonlijke favoriet, verser kan gewoon niet. Foto's volgen nog.

Sushi, je kunt het tegenwoordig op iedere straathoek krijgen, veelal via all-you-can-eat formules. Waar het voorheen “veel voor weinig” was, moet je tegenwoordig vaak de hoofdprijs betalen voor een vreetschuur waar je vooral moet dooreten en wegwezen…….en bezorgen is vaak sowieso vragen om teleurstelling. Vanavond toch trek in sushi, alleen thuis, dus tegen beter weten in bezorgen dan maar…… Er zijn meer dan tien opties in de buurt, maar welke kies je? Het werd Akaito! Blijkt in de buurt te zitten, dus dan loop ik minder het risico dat mijn bestelling eerst een half uurtje achterop een bezorgbrommer door elkaar wordt geschud, is de gedachte. Vijf sterren, ik heb het nog nooit voor een “bezorgtent” gegeven, maar deze is anders! Super kwaliteit, heel erg vers en niet zomaar in een bak gekwakt, maar zorgvuldig opgemaakt en gepresenteerd met bloemen! Ja, de prijs is ernaar, niet goedkoop, maar dat is sushi sowiezo niet. Maar je krijgt flinke stukken sashimi, licht gegrild en nogmaals, supervers (!). Mooie rolls, knapperig zeewier, viskuit, heel mooie avocado, alles mooi opgemaakt met krulsla en ja, dus bloemen…… Bezorging netjes op tijd. Volgens mij kun je ook ter plaatse eten, dus als je dit kunt bezorgen, dan kom ik (we) graag binnenkort even langs!

Je merkt dat er de tijd genomen wordt om het eten lekker te maken. Voor het eerst na lange tijd zulke lekkere Edamame boontjes op. De sushi is mooi opgemaakt, erg lekker en niet gierig. Ik kom zeker terug, of ik bestel wat!

Heel lekker eten, mooi restaurant en hele aardige personeelsleden. Zeker een aanrader als je heel lekker Japans wilt eten en er het geld voor hebt (het is wel aan de prijs, maar het was het voor ons waard)

Hele lekkere sushi , geen all you can eat maar wel prima prijs kwaliteit verhouding. Bediening ook erg vriendelijk. Alleen locatie is wat minder sfeervol maar ze doen erg hun best en het eten maakt het meer dan goed!
