The place was good, nice coffees and service! The door to the outside was left frequently open with people coming in and out. As the weather was cold this was not that pleasant. Maybe some way to have the door close on itself? The toilet was not clean, very wet and a bit yek to go to.... Otherwise nice and spacious place!

This morning I had coffee with my girlfriend and ordered a delicious slice of Lemmon Poppyseek cake. My girlfriend tried to remove a piece of the (hard cake) with a pastry fork, but it wasn't really working. She ate it to please me, but with such a hard cake, that was difficult. I said, "Isn't it tasty?" No, "It's really hard." So I took the cake to Bali and told the lady there. I told her she couldn't and shouldn't serve this cake, to which she offered to bring you a new slice, but that's not necessary. What I find most appalling is that she didn't apologize, showed no interest in the complaint itself (you can't serve such a hard cake), and showed no reaction. So we won't be returning to Anne & Max, this is such a terrible experience.

Had high tea with a friend. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The rolls and sandwiches were dried out. The lettuce was also limp, and the toppings were also dried out. I think it had been sitting out for a while before we arrived and was prepared too early. So not fresh!

High tea was a fiasco. Scones, bread dried out and moderately topped. Soup cold. Teapot should definitely be on a tea light holder or in a tea cozy. A real disappointment.

I'd been here once before in Apeldoorn for high tea, and it wasn't great. I left a review, which they responded to, and I went back today to try again, and it was great. The service was good, and the staff were very friendly. You could immediately tell it wasn't as busy. The food was excellent and delicious. Highly recommended, as was the case today. A complaint was resolved very quickly.

Ordered an expensive sandwich—it was mostly hot air, with some dough and a piece of dry pulled chicken on top. I messaged them but didn't get a response, so I'll leave a review. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant if you're hungry, but I would if you're 0% critical or on a diet.

Nicely aired. We went to a location in Groningen a few weeks ago. It was also excellent! Delicious food. The menu doesn't offer much choice, but it's all sooooo delicious. Everything is prepared on-site. The service is friendly and attentive. I had made a reservation, and they neatly placed a plate on the table. Nice! Recommended!!!

I have been to Anne and Max in other cities, it was fine. This one though is a bit mediocre, the food didn’t taste good at all and the coffee is below average. Also, we sat on a table that wasn’t clean, but also the waiters didn’t bother to clean it at all, and they didn’t even ask about our opinion of the food like people do in every restaurant or café in the Netherlands. By the way don’t get fooled as I did, the winter bowl is very cold xD nothing to warm you up

We were so happy to have lunch here with our one-year-old. He played happily in the play corner while we enjoyed coffee. The restaurant is spacious and there's plenty of seating. The burrata salad was delicious and exactly what I expected. The focaccia piripiri was a bit disappointing, as it was dry and thinly topped. The food was also on the expensive side.

Unfortunately, the noise is huge! The food was supposed to be a simple omelette and it was tasteless! I asked for cutlery afterwards because I might have had to eat with my hands anyway! The prices are high! I asked for a latte and got it in a cappuccino glass and it was tasteless! Only the waiters are helpful and kind

We arrived at 11:45. We wanted the breakfast menu with eggs, but were told they were already out of eggs. Never had that at another location before. I wanted a caramel latte. It wasn't listed on the website where we had to order. I wanted to try ordering from someone else, but I had to use the app. So, that wasn't possible either. Other locations do have regular service. And a caramel latte.

While I really like this place and love their focus on sustainability, they often serve their hot drinks in these glasses without ear, that are impossible to drink from because they're too hot to the touch. This sadly makes me want to not come here again.

On August 26th, we had booked high tea for 14 people, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM. This was a special day, as we were getting married that same afternoon and had indicated we needed to be at the town hall at 3:45 PM. For this reason, we felt it was important that everything be ready on time so we could relax and enjoy the day with our guests. Unfortunately, things turned out quite differently. Upon arrival around 2:00 PM, nothing was ready. We were only told where to sit. When all the guests had arrived at 2:15 PM, nothing had yet been prepared. Tea was only served after I inquired. The food didn't even arrive until around 2:45 PM, so we barely had time to eat in peace. Furthermore, the service was disappointing. The staff couldn't provide clear answers to any questions. The checkout process also went wrong: I had to pay the full amount per person, even though I'd been told over the phone that there was a €5 discount per person during the week. Because we were in a hurry, I let it go. I emailed them later, and they agreed: the overpayment would be refunded. A week has passed since then, and I contacted them again, but they still haven't refunded me. I haven't received a single response to a later email about our disappointing experience. The food itself was fine, but the service was downright terrible. This should have been a carefree and enjoyable experience for us, but it became stressful and rushed. Unfortunately, this overshadowed our afternoon. We won't be returning.

We had made a reservation for high tea on Sunday at 2 p.m. (in advance, of course). The waitress arrived at 2:30 p.m. for the first time (and the restaurant was less than 1/4 full) with the tea. She started by saying, "I don't know when the snacks will be arriving." At 2:40 p.m., I went to the counter to ask how things were going and saw the tray already waiting, though I didn't know how long it had been. She said she would bring it right away, but I saw her chatting with colleagues afterward, and it took another 5-10 minutes for it to actually arrive. The sandwiches were tasty, but they all had the same thing on them (the vegan high tea; all with tofu, a sauce, and some greens). The cakes were rather dry. They came with clotted cream and jam, but it wasn't clear what they went with (the carrot cake? The cakes that also seemed finished?). To end on a positive note: it was nice that you could also order homemade soft drinks and coffee, and that these were included. You received loose tea that had been pre-packaged, not tea bags. In short: not worth the money. I wouldn't recommend it.

After very positive experiences at other locations, we were very disappointed here. The iced coffee of the month consisted mainly of ice cubes. After pointing this out, we were told this was the policy and shouldn't be changed. The pistachio iced coffee itself didn't taste like pistachios. Only pistachio paste and some chopped nuts on the rim of the glass. The café was also quite dirty, but we blamed that on arriving late in the afternoon. Next time, we won't choose Anne&Max again. Too bad.

Delicious food and drinks! Quickly delivered. We were there with our children. Lots for the kids to play with. Super nice! The atmosphere is also very nice. Sometimes it's busier than others. That's why it's 4/5 because when it's busy, it can be noisy. But when it's quieter, it's wonderful!

A really cute breakfast spot with a lovely outdoor seating area and a beautifully decorated, high-ceiling indoor space—we liked both! The service was super nice and friendly, which made the experience even better. The food overall was good, though some parts could be improved. We had Max’s Breakfast, which was well-balanced and satisfying in portion, but we felt it could have included a bit more—especially the ham. The Maximiliana Formaggi was a safe choice, but not particularly exciting; the dough was a bit dry and not very flavorful. The Piri Piri Formaggi had a better taste, but again, both the dough and chicken felt a little dry. On the sweet side, they offered a nice variety of desserts. We tried the carrot cake, banana bread, and framboise cheesecake—all were delicious! As for coffee, the flat white had a bit too much milk for my taste, but I really enjoyed the cortado. Overall, a good experience. What I loved most was the wide range of options on the menu—it makes this place a great choice for larger groups, since everyone can easily find something to enjoy.

Recently, a group of women and a few children ordered drinks and pastries. After 45 minutes, still nothing, while everyone around us got them. Even after we told them we'd been there a long time, nothing changed. So we all left. The service was so terrible. Such a shame.

Very cozy place and the staff is very friendly. But we got really unlucky with the food - my crepes were dry and cold (I’m 100% sure they were not cooked fresh) and my boyfriend got food poisoning. We were served by two employees. One of the ladies was welcoming and friendly. The other lady made very little effort to help us and was mainly silent. I had to raise my voice to get her attention. Consumptions must be ordered digitally. In itself a good idea, especially when there is a shortage of personnel, but we did not know this. As soon as we were alerted to this, it turned out that the system was not working. The employee apparently knew this, but reacted very coldly when we told her. Lunch was mediocre. The sandwiches were ok, but no more than that. I'm used to better. The chai latte was weak and not quite up to temperature. Overall disappointing. The interior is attractive. Anne & Max could be a real asset to Apeldoorn, but in addition to more customer-friendly staff, more attention to quality is needed. And, oh yes, the A and M markings on the toilets cause confusion. Maybe meant to be funny?

During the weekend it is very busy and you have to take into account that you have to wait longer and there is more chaos.
