Huize Bloem in Lieren en omgeving

Arrived here in the Veluwe last week for vacation, what a shame, it looked so cozy... Closed!! It reopened last Tuesday, and because it looked so inviting and there's a small playground, we wanted to check it out, and it was definitely worth it! Great atmosphere, friendly girls, and delicious Monchou cake!! Thanks!!

A very pleasant place! However, allergies are a concern. The staff had little knowledge of the ingredients, even after asking the kitchen. Otherwise, I would have given it 5 stars!

Nice location, but unloving food We recently had lunch here and although the location is nice to sit in, the food was very disappointing. I had two brown sandwiches with slices of factory cheese, chutney from a jar, Doritos from a bag and some slices of cucumber and tomato. My husband had a snack with a factory soup. It feels like no cooking is done here, but simply packaging is opened. The food is unloving and lacks any form of attention or quality. We politely indicated this, but the only response we got was: “We never hear this.” No apologies, no interest - as if we were the problem. We paid €35 ​​for two simple dishes and two drinks. In our opinion, absolutely not good value for money, and especially a shame that so little attention is paid to feedback.

For years we have been having spontaneous lunches at Huize Bloem with great pleasure. But the last time it was disappointing. We had ordered a mini high tea. Previous times it was always well taken care of, but the last time it was disappointing. I got the idea that they just put whatever was left on the shelf. Mainly brie and a few slices of baguette. Not worth the price in any case. But because we were used to better, I still wanted to celebrate my birthday there with a High Tea. Only reserving a High Tea has not been possible for years, because they are always fully booked very early. So we were very happy that we were finally able to reserve a High Tea via the website about 4 weeks ago. Finally... after 2 years we succeeded! We received a neat confirmation that the reservation request had been received and that we would receive a confirmation of the reservation later. Unfortunately, that confirmation did not arrive. Because it is important to me that we could celebrate something on the day of the reservation, I called yesterday. I was almost laughed at, but that's how it sounded when the lady on the phone told me that the High Tea would not be reserved anyway, because they were completely full. We would still get that rejection (so it was already a few weeks after the request). I understand if they are full with the High Tea, I have been used to that for 2 years. But then make sure that it cannot be reserved via the website. Or at least, let them know quickly that the reservations are rejected. Then someone can organize something else. That will be very short notice now. And then I think the tone she used in the conversation may be even worse than the rejection. This disappointed me so much. Again, we often went to Huize Bloem, but I fear that is over now. We will find another nice place, where we will not be laughed at for a reservation.

On Mother's Day (without a reservation) I still got a nice table. Extremely busy, but the employees did not let that discourage them! We were served cheerfully, attentively and pleasantly…. Delicious sandwich😋we were happily waved goodbye! Super tent and a big 10 from us! 👍

What a great place to have a spontaneous lunch! We were on our way home after vacation with our 5-month-old baby and our dog. We received a nice and spontaneous welcome. There was room and our dog was immediately given a bowl of water. The choices on the menu were different than we are used to. No carpaccio for example, but that meant we ordered something different than we normally do and that was fun! It looked and tasted delicious! These mothers also forgot their bags after paying, but luckily someone from the wait staff noticed it before we left! 😅🙏🏻 We will definitely come back!

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at Huize Bloem, which was a pleasant coordination of our wishes with their possibilities. Due to the beautiful weather in April, our party was moved from indoors to outdoors, perfectly taken care of by enthusiastic people. The food is FANTASTIC! The location perfect! Thanks Willem and Hetty and team!

What a nice restaurant, with a beautiful terrace with a view over the fields and next to the old railway line. The food and service are great, but above all we are in love with the place!

We had a party evening with barbecue at Huize Bloem with about 60 people, what a treat that was! We had a fantastic evening and were completely taken care of. The hospitality we experienced, the delicious food and the friendly and prompt service largely contributed to this. All our guests praised the location and the delicious food, so if you are having a party, Huize Bloem is highly recommended!

Nice location, friendly staff. Unfortunately, I suffered from diarrhea for 2 days due to the brie/salami sandwich. Thought it tasted strange, I should have trusted my gut feeling. Just a quick response to the owner's reaction: my son had tasted a very small piece of the sandwich and then also had dirty poop. The rest of the company had no complaints during the entire holiday, and it has nothing to do with a virus.

After 60 kilometers of cycling, we ended up stranded on this beautiful terrace on the first warm Sunday of March 2025. There was a perfect sofa available for the three of us. We enjoyed a mini high tea with delicious sandwiches and pastries. This could also be ordered vegetarian! Then of course I placed a second order. This one was also well received. Very smooth and friendly ladies serve you at your beck and call. Perfect stop for cyclists but also for normal people.

Delicious coffee. We didn't eat any cake, but what we saw passed by looked very good. Beautiful tea garden.

Delicious mini high tea with tasty sweet snacks.

Cappuccino was perfect. Soup of the day was a no-brainer. Thought it was a pea soup. Ultimately it turned out to be a green soup. Pieces of spring onion/bean and very small black soft seeds. Turns out to be pieces of mushroom plates. Furthermore, the mushroom soup - soup of the day, no mushrooms to be seen. I think Huize Bloem can do it, but they have to eliminate the mushroom soup of the day. My comment “what did I actually eat” when paying was accompanied by a surprised “oh”. But House B can call me if they ever want to make creamy mushroom soup. And it's not green.

Great. We had a high tea in honor of my mother who turned 90. So many tasty snacks, both sweet and savory in abundance. Nice service. And perfectly arranged if someone has an allergy. I will come again this summer to sit on the lovely terrace. That terrace looked so cozy with a beautiful view.

Op mooie dagen, kun je heerlijk een mooie plek zoeken in de ruime tuin, aan een grote tafel of op bv bankjes aan het spoor van de Stoomtrein, Binnen is het heel gezellig ingericht en genoeg plek, er bleek nl nog een grote kamer naast te liggen die opnieuw heel mooi was! Keuze wb eten is heel divers en ook goed voor vegetariërs! Leuke plek op af te spreken.

Huize Bloem is located directly on the steam train line. We had a lovely time on the terrace while the children played in the playground. Last weekend there was a steam train event so many steam trains passed by. Huize Bloem also had a bouncy castle (don't know if it is always available). Service is nice but it took 45 minutes before order was taken. They were very busy (understandable) and were given an apology. Lots of choice in good cakes. Enjoyed!

Wonderful place to sit and enjoy a cake or a drink (with a delicious snack board!). The staff is super friendly and our children also had a great time in the playground with air cushion. Casual, nice atmosphere and the icing on the cake is the steam train that passes by every now and then!

Basically a cozy place with excellent drinks and friendly staff. Unfortunately, the honking of the steam train means that we will not come here again. This makes it highly recommended if you come with a baby or toddler (very nice for older children). I don't understand why the staff does not inform families with young children in advance that the steam train is honking (very loud and long), so you can go inside or at least cover your little one's ears as soon as the train approaches. Seeing your little one so scared is really not fun and after a moment like that you just want to leave and enjoying your food or drinks is no longer an option.

Delicious lunch; brie sandwich with walnuts and honey, roasted chicken sandwich and aged cheese sandwich with fig chutney. Delicious dishes with delicious brown bread. The plates look festive and tasteful. Operation is perfect. Eating here is cozy and delicious. Price/quality is very good. Recommended...? Of course

In sunny weather we sat on the beautiful terrace in the countryside. There was a small but very tasty selection of cakes and the service was very friendly and attentive. Great for a quick stopover!

Disappointingly, the smoked chicken sandwich was covered with slices of chicken that you normally buy as meat.

The terrace outside was fine. The large snack board was a bit disappointing, no hot snacks, but a bowl of peanuts with a single snack nut. The dry white house wine was good. Wwl the first glass was poured minimally, the 2nd glass was better filled.

I have been living a stone's throw from Huize Bloem for several months now. I have often been surprised by the enormous turnout, but I have known for the past week and a half that these people have it all right. Ideal place for a fantastic lunch. Child-friendly place, but designed in such a way that it doesn't really bother you, even if you don't have much time with (other people's) children.

Reserved High Tea, all Mother's Day mothers gathered. You will receive a message the day before May 12 that they are canceling, due to insufficient capacity. Nice sitting outside for lunch (after 2:00 PM, so nachos 😉) Loaded nachos were delicious, but the fingers were dirty from the food, maybe add a lemon cloth or water? Lovely place to sit with beautiful views from the terrace.

Great place to relax, drink a delicious latte macchiato with the most delicious monchou cake or a delicious lunch (salmon sandwich is sublime and very richly filled). Cozy terrace with many nice places to sit. But when the weather is bad, it is not a punishment to sit inside. And last but certainly worth it: very friendly and happy staff who serve quickly. We would love to come there in any case!
