Nice, cozy, and we sat outside wonderfully. Unfortunately, we are closing in November!!

After our ride on the Veluwe Steam Train, we had a piece of cake with coffee. Just a few minutes' walk from the station. A very nice experience in a cozy setting, delicious homemade cake, and super friendly service. It is a pity that we are only staying in the area for a few days, otherwise we would definitely come back.

Cozy restaurant, authentic, nice terrace. They forgot something on the food, which was served separately. The rest of the food was fine. Selection somewhat limited.

Stopped here for tea and a treat during a day of walking. And it certainly worked out! The weather is cloudy, but upon arrival, I am welcomed with a radiant smile. Thanks to the green design of the terrace, you sit in the shade when it is warm and sheltered when there is a breeze. In short, a wonderful place to continue your journey refreshed; that is truly ‘Veluwe Enjoyment’. Huize

My boyfriend and I have been coming here very regularly on Sunday mornings for ages, after walking the dog. Always extremely satisfied. Super sweet and attentive service, delicious coffee and cake, and the lunch dishes are also very tasty. Highly recommended!

Despite the heat, it was so nice sitting outside on the terrace. It was late afternoon, and yet the hostess was super nice.

We had an incredibly delicious meal. Despite the heat, it was a fantastic spot: a table for two for high tea with lovely shade and a gentle breeze. Such hospitable people, and everything was freshly prepared. The sweet and the savory, everything was a surprise, so fresh. The Veluwe steam train passing by was an added bonus. Our table was very nicely set up with a separate seating area and a view of the countryside featuring sunflowers and the old steam train track. It was done really well. The beautifully set table and tableware completed the experience. Highly recommended!

A really lovely terrace. We had lunch here and found it a bit plain, but very tasty. I would mainly recommend enjoying coffee and cake.

I had made a reservation. When making the reservation, I asked if they could do something extra for the 50th birthday. By this, I meant a candle or something similar with "50" on it. This was not possible. I was, however, allowed to decorate the table myself. Upon arrival, no congratulations. A missed opportunity! Limited choice of lunch dishes on the menu. Only sandwiches and a few salads. We missed dishes with eggs, such as omelets. UHT milk was served instead of fresh milk. In short, poor value for money. The sandwiches were served quickly, though. The location was very beautiful.

Stopped by recently for a cup of coffee. Even though it wasn't huge outside, we just weren't served.. Admired the steam train for a bit, rested, and left again after half an hour.

The catering was perfect. However, when they decide it's time to leave, they are not customer-friendly and quite boorish. They completely knock you over. Not polite.

What a great experience. The food was great value for money and generously topped. The staff frequently asks if everything is to our liking. The drinks we ordered arrived within 2 minutes—extremely fast!

I knew it by name, but went for the first time last week and had an incredibly delicious meal. It certainly won't be the last time I go there. I had a salad and was served bread with it; I looked for butter, and my dining companion dipped her bread into the accompanying sauce, which I didn't find very tasty. The staff apparently heard this, because a few minutes later butter appeared on the table without me having asked for it. Absolutely fantastic!

Yesterday, we celebrated our joint 50th birthday here (our 100-year party!). Afterwards, we received countless compliments from our guests. Everyone was full of praise for the delicious barbecue food, the beautiful location, and the pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. The friendly and prompt service also ensured that neither we nor our guests wanted for anything. Combining it with the steam train (VSM) made the evening complete. And for those not coming for a party: naturally, you can also enjoy a lovely lunch on the terrace or savor those delicious homemade cakes. Huize Bloem is highly recommended!

Reservations for more than 4 people are not required, but if you show up, it is full. If you do make a reservation, you get a call saying the website is incorrect and that they use an old-fashioned booklet. Unfortunately, we couldn't get anything to eat or drink. The waitress did provide an explanation, but unfortunately, we went there for nothing...

Delicious sandwiches and a cozy atmosphere. Friendly and fast service. We had to wait a bit for a table because it was busy inside. We enjoyed a nice cup of coffee on the patio under the heat lamp—it was perfect even in these temperatures. We'd love to come back if we're ever in the area again.

A truly beautiful spot with a truly cozy and warm atmosphere. Plus, a stunning view over the meadows with the lovely sunshine streaming through the windows. And that was just the atmosphere, haha. A beautifully situated restaurant with a surprising amount of space. A varied lunch menu and friendly service will make you want to come back again. High tea is also available, which looked delicious. Finally, the owner is renowned for her homemade pastries. Highly recommended.

For our B&B, Huize Hertog in Apeldoorn, we did some research to refer guests to a good, cozy, and affordable restaurant. The website states that all products are fresh and sustainable. We were pleasantly surprised. After a short 25-minute bike ride, it looks small but cozy. However, it turns out to be surprisingly spacious inside. Our latte was delicious (thankfully, without oatmeal 😝). A late lunch at 2:00 PM was no problem. A delicious healthy sandwich and a sandwich with fig chutney. We highly recommend it, and we will definitely be back. We had planned to go on January 3rd with a group of eight people, but unfortunately, they were closed then. Until next time.

We had high tea with 9 people. The atmosphere was fantastic and the food was delicious. Thanks to the staff at Huize Bloem.

Good food, lots of it, reasonable prices, cozy, friendly staff who actually enjoy their jobs. It's in a beautiful spot next to the railway line where the steam train occasionally passes. We often come here with great pleasure. Tip: arrive early, because they fill up quickly (because it's a fantastic place) 😊

A tip for the staff. Your reservation isn't working. Your website doesn't say anywhere that you have to book high tea far in advance, but you can book online. So your system isn't working. I also read a complaint from someone else about a month ago. So unfortunately, nothing is being done about the problem.

Nice spot for a light lunch. They have a big terrace with a garden and jungle gym for the kids to play. If you have a dog you can sit outside. The menu is simple with a bunch of different sandwiches and have gluten free bread available.

The food was delicious, everything was truly above average. One downside, however, was that it was really noisy. It's impossible to have a quiet conversation when everything is packed inside.

Lovely terrace, great atmosphere. I only had coffee and cake, so I can't comment on the food, but the cake was good. The service was both fast and friendly. We'd love to come back.

The reason for my visit was back to that steam festival. There was a real BBQ, though sometimes there was a bit too much smoke on the terrace. The bread and hamburger BBQ were excellent and especially fresh. And if you're lucky, a steam train might pass by.

The high tea portions are quite generous. We would have preferred more variety with smaller portions. As it is, we were already full before we'd even tasted everything.

Food was good, but quite overpriced. We had a toastie and a sandwich. We ordered a smoothie but it tasted a bit off like the banana was too ripe, almost bad, we also had the pie that was really nice.

Arrived here in the Veluwe last week for vacation, what a shame, it looked so cozy... Closed!! It reopened last Tuesday, and because it looked so inviting and there's a small playground, we wanted to check it out, and it was definitely worth it! Nice location, but unloving food We recently had lunch here and although the location is nice to sit in, the food was very disappointing. I had two brown sandwiches with slices of factory cheese, chutney from a jar, Doritos from a bag and some slices of cucumber and tomato. My husband had a snack with a factory soup. It feels like no cooking is done here, but simply packaging is opened. The food is unloving and lacks any form of attention or quality. We politely indicated this, but the only response we got was: “We never hear this.” No apologies, no interest - as if we were the problem. We paid €35 ​​for two simple dishes and two drinks. In our opinion, absolutely not good value for money, and especially a shame that so little attention is paid to feedback.

For years we have been having spontaneous lunches at Huize Bloem with great pleasure. But the last time it was disappointing. We had ordered a mini high tea. Previous times it was always well taken care of, but the last time it was disappointing. I got the idea that they just put whatever was left on the shelf. Mainly brie and a few slices of baguette. Not worth the price in any case. But because we were used to better, I still wanted to celebrate my birthday there with a High Tea. Only reserving a High Tea has not been possible for years, because they are always fully booked very early. So we were very happy that we were finally able to reserve a High Tea via the website about 4 weeks ago. Finally... after 2 years we succeeded! We received a neat confirmation that the reservation request had been received and that we would receive a confirmation of the reservation later. Unfortunately, that confirmation did not arrive. Because it is important to me that we could celebrate something on the day of the reservation, I called yesterday. I was almost laughed at, but that's how it sounded when the lady on the phone told me that the High Tea would not be reserved anyway, because they were completely full. We would still get that rejection (so it was already a few weeks after the request). I understand if they are full with the High Tea, I have been used to that for 2 years. But then make sure that it cannot be reserved via the website. Or at least, let them know quickly that the reservations are rejected. Then someone can organize something else. That will be very short notice now. And then I think the tone she used in the conversation may be even worse than the rejection. This disappointed me so much. Again, we often went to Huize Bloem, but I fear that is over now. We will find another nice place, where we will not be laughed at for a reservation.

On Mother's Day (without a reservation) I still got a nice table. Extremely busy, but the employees did not let that discourage them! We were served cheerfully, attentively and pleasantly…. Delicious sandwich😋we were happily waved goodbye! Super tent and a big 10 from us! 👍

What a great place to have a spontaneous lunch! We were on our way home after vacation with our 5-month-old baby and our dog. We received a nice and spontaneous welcome. There was room and our dog was immediately given a bowl of water. The choices on the menu were different than we are used to. No carpaccio for example, but that meant we ordered something different than we normally do and that was fun! It looked and tasted delicious! These mothers also forgot their bags after paying, but luckily someone from the wait staff noticed it before we left! 😅🙏🏻 We will definitely come back!

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at Huize Bloem, which was a pleasant coordination of our wishes with their possibilities. Due to the beautiful weather in April, our party was moved from indoors to outdoors, perfectly taken care of by enthusiastic people. The food is FANTASTIC! The location perfect! We had a party evening with barbecue at Huize Bloem with about 60 people, what a treat that was! We had a fantastic evening and were completely taken care of. The hospitality we experienced, the delicious food and the friendly and prompt service largely contributed to this. All our guests praised the location and the delicious food, so if you are having a party, Huize Bloem is highly recommended!

Nice location, friendly staff. Unfortunately, I suffered from diarrhea for 2 days due to the brie/salami sandwich. Thought it tasted strange, I should have trusted my gut feeling. Just a quick response to the owner's reaction: my son had tasted a very small piece of the sandwich and then also had dirty poop. The rest of the company had no complaints during the entire holiday, and it has nothing to do with a virus.

After 60 kilometers of cycling, we ended up stranded on this beautiful terrace on the first warm Sunday of March 2025. There was a perfect sofa available for the three of us. We enjoyed a mini high tea with delicious sandwiches and pastries. This could also be ordered vegetarian! Then of course I placed a second order. This one was also well received. Very smooth and friendly ladies serve you at your beck and call. Perfect stop for cyclists but also for normal people.
