Aphrodite in Hoogwerf

Heard at the last delivery here at home (3-4 weeks ago) that Aphrodite itself is closing. There will probably be a different concept in terms of food. Not entirely clear yet. Very unfortunate, we have been ordering there for years and it was always fine with us.

Don't know what's going on, no holiday time and completely closed. I looked a few times because of Christmas, I tried but I got no answer. I think it no longer exists.

Another delicious shawarma, delivered right on time. Always great. We've been ordering from here for years and have no complaints.

7.11 ordered food, called after 2 hours where it was, they said it would arrive shortly (lie), took another 45 minutes, food was burned so I will never order from them again.

ridiculous ordered at a quarter past 5, it's now been 3 hours and still nothing. 30 minutes ago I called and they said they were on their way, if that was the case I would have had my food long ago, I will never order from here again

We've been ordering here for a while now, often getting the same dish. - Beef tenderloin with creamy sauce. - The last five times we've ordered, things have gone wrong. We ordered fries and received raw potatoes, or the fries were completely forgotten. The aluminum foil wasn't wrapped properly around the dish, and the dish ended up in a plastic bag. The fries were fried for the second time (yuck). The meat was dry. We had to wait two hours before the doorbell rang. Maybe there's been a change of kitchen staff?! Or maybe there's someone working there who doesn't feel like it anymore.

Well, this isn't exactly a bargain. We ordered food on the 26th at 6:00 PM (which was supposed to arrive at 6:30 PM). But now it's 8:30 PM and we still haven't received anything. And we've already paid... in short: GREAT! Ruining someone's Christmas and robbing them of their money. Good job, guys!

Ordered through Thuisbezorgd a few minutes before closing time. They didn't bother to make it and canceled the order. Poor service. Now I just have to wait for my money to be refunded.

Gyros is inedible, tastes like a pack of shawarma from the appie, very bad!

Immediately after eating my stomach hurts. Spit out everything and go to the toilet with diarrhea. Fries were limp, tough meat. Overkill on herbs...this was the last time for me.

Food delivered and asked for delivery at 6:30 pm. At 7.15 pm we asked if everything went well with the order, but fortunately it was "on its way". Then we called twice more and finally got our food at 8:30 PM. Too bad it took so ridiculously long, but the food was good.

Gyros too rancid for words, is just shawarma. Dry stuff that only has taste due to an overkill of herbs. Fries limp and cold.

Isn't the word pita gyros worth it...just like shawarma and just like in Greece, don't miss the fries, tomato and cucumber in it...never again

On time, good food, mixed grill was close to how you get it in Greece. Fries were fine, pitas very well filled. Fine!

Unfortunately the gyros was not gyros but shawarma. The donner sandwich had so much garlic sauce in it that it was cold.

Delivery just over an hour (not bad on a rainy Sunday) and nothing to complain about; fries were fine, gyros were tasty, pita also good, the sauce too. So 5 stars!

We have been ordering here for years, to our complete satisfaction. Unfortunately, the last few times we have had a different type of rice (sticky, mushy), which we find quite a disappointment. We would like to have the "normal" rice back again and then you will definitely get 5 stars!

I ordered fries that contained an animal in them. I called and was treated rudely and told that it was not their problem. And in addition to those fries, I also ordered shawarma and, unbelievably, it was in that shawarma. plenty of worms that move.. So disgusting, soooo not edible, this is unacceptable.. Very unhygienic. So folks, I wouldn't order from here again, ever again. And when you order, check carefully whether there is anything in it before it reaches your stomach.

Only fries were tasty meat tough Greek pita very tough and wet gyros very salty will never order here again it was very bad yuck

When I often ordered food it was always fine, but tonight it was a disappointment. The meat was cold and the bread was very hard. It's a shame. I always had a good experience ordering. Too bad it wasn't good now. Better luck next time, I hope

Delicious food and the delivery person really went out of his way for all that boy in that Ford Ka, that guy is really fast and customer friendly, you should hire more people like that, a big 10 plus

Best and tastiest Kapsalon chicken fillet ever. Fantastic, perfect, excellent. Next time I will order Kapsalon chicken fillet from Aphrodite again. I live near Aphrodite. My compliments to the staff at Aphrodite. Rating: 10

Last time we had to wait 2.5 hours for our order and when it arrived it was cold. I gave the chance to make up for it yesterday because the food is tasty and I received a nice discount on my new order

Delivery time is a little less, but the food is really tasty!! You always get a lot too. Therefore definitely recommended. If you want to eat a nice Kapsalon.

Ordered Kapsalon döner (chicken). There was a small piece of bone in my hair salon. Immediately thrown away.

I ordered a pita gyros here and instead got a pita shawarma with lettuce on top and without fries. I really don't think that's possible, especially if it's on the menu as pita gyros.

We usually order Turkish pizza here. Always good, always super fast and cheap too!

Pretends to be a Greek but sells shawarma when gyros are not Turkish and not Greek ever again!!

Today a complaint about an incorrectly delivered product was reported to Aphrodite, namely shawarma was delivered instead of gyros. The employee who answered the phone claimed that the cause was the use of other spices on the meat. The pita bread, which normally accompanies a shawarma dish, had nothing to do with it either. I can't believe the complaint was dismissed. Bad service, we will never order from them again!

Doesn't taste Greek at all, everything tastes like Turkish herbs. Meat too dry, bad taste. I never have to eat again.

Now after 2 hours of waiting, still no order. Called after an hour and the answer was yes, we are now going to start processing your order. Or while we have forgotten you. Now 2 hours later no food. Every time we order here it goes wrong. Or only half of the order or something completely different or your order is 2 hours late or later. This was the last time we order here. Too bad 🤨

Normally I always go to STAR on the Plateau for a hair salon, but they were already closed at 6:30 PM. Then to Aphrodite. I did eat the (kapsalon veal) but as someone else noted it was quite salty and the meat was quite tough. In principle, veal should not be that. When I read the other reviews (about the food and drinks), it is worth repeating.

Unfortunately the food was not good. Gyros tasted like shawarma. Meat was way too salty and tough Dry bite without any vegetables. Shame.

Lkkr food and drinks are getting better and better

ordered via their site, called after 1.5 hours, gentleman can't find anything, I send the boy immediately when he comes, another hour and 10 minutes later, called again, sir, doesn't know anything, can't find anything, order number 15 and ideally paid, got email back but sir doesn't know anything, wait another 30 minutes then I will cancel the order and get my money back because it's a CUNT MESS

Never order beer from this Turk..... Ordered 4 beers and had them delivered, price 8.50, give a total of 10, also for the delivery person. Open the first beer and it is without a shot, I look at the date and it is 4 months past the date. I go back myself to get new ones (it's possible to make a mistake), I get new cans when I get home and these beers are a month older than the first ones I got. Had to drive back and forth twice to finally get beer with a good date but no apology or anything, this bastard doesn't care if he makes people sick or not with moldy beer. There was no apology... I will never see this case again. Afrodite sucks big time

A good restaurant and fast service for a good price

After waiting for more than an hour we thought we finally had good food. What disgusting food. Never had anything so disgusting on gyros. Nothing to do with gyros. It's just shawarma meat. The pita was much too hard. Well, it looked like it was a week old, a shame about it. money was thrown straight into the trash, really too dirty for words, this food once but never again

Order gyros dish from them. I received a shawarma dish when I called back from I received a shawarma dish instead of gyros and I don't eat a shawarma, they first said no, it's just gyros not a shawarma. Then I refused to eat it because it was really shoarma and I don't eat shorma. Gafie then your problem is just throw the food away, we won't pick up the food and we won't bring your money back either, if you want to eat then you eat otherwise just throw your food away "IS YOUR PROBLEM NOT OURS". So rude and unfriendly. I often order, but I have never experienced dealing with customers like this before.

Ever since this place existed, I have always ordered my spare ribs here. A minor point is that it took a very long time to receive your order, but I thought it was worth the wait. So today I had to wait a very long time for my food to be picked up, then you finally come home with the food. No mayonnaise, no lettuce and I'm just missing an entire string of spareribs. Not to mention the quality of the food. After contacting this company, I was informed that I could only receive a discount on my next order. No option to still obtain the supplement (which I have already paid for). Because they were busy. Very sad to treat your regular customers this way. You've lost me!
