Just had delicious coffee and a lovely pastry. Unfortunately, the atmosphere in the restaurant was so chaotic. There was a mother alone with her two young children, who were a bit more active than others, but not necessarily disruptive. But the mother was completely humiliated by other guests and also by the staff member with the hunched back, so much so that we felt sick. Even our children got involved, because they were sitting quietly (this one time). The mother told us that her husband, and therefore the children's father, had passed away two weeks ago and went home upset. I wonder what is wrong with the world?! That children aren't allowed to be children. That compassion is impossible for others. That people only look out for their own interests, not beyond their own noses. It's incredibly bad and a sign that the world and its people are sick and that there's still much work to be done for a better world. I'll never come here for coffee again; there are plenty of cozy places in Gouda where people are seen and heard.

We have been coming to this bakery for at least eight years, mainly for the bread - and we are very satisfied. They sell delicious bread and the filled cookies are also highly recommended. The staff is friendly and clearly knows the products they sell. We don't actually use the lunchroom, but for bread (and something tasty with it) this is the place for us. Very satisfied regular customer!

We had breakfast and drinks as two people and stayed for about an hour. During this time, I had an online meeting. Staff came to our table three times to ask if we wanted to order anything else. The third time, while I was still in the meeting, one of them said I had stayed too long. I found this extremely rude. If your policy is to limit how long customers can stay, maybe you shouldn't have comfy seating. The two of us had breakfast and something to drink, and stayed for about an hour. I thought that was very rude. If you don't want customers to sit a little longer, take away the comfortable chairs.

First, Warm titled menu items served as cold for breakfast. The waiters were rude and they bothered us in every 15mins. I think they were assume that we do not speak dutch and she said “waited too long” out loud while leaving second time. I guess they do not want to have customers!

08-04-2025 Terrible experience – first and last time! I just walked in to get a chocolate roll. Without me being asked anything, it was immediately put in a bag. They didn't even bother to inquire whether I wanted to eat it here or take it away. So I decided to sit somewhere. Not much later, an employee (a woman with reddish-brown, short hair just below her ears) started yelling at me from behind the counter that “I'm not supposed to eat things out of a bag.” Scream! To a customer! In the middle of the shop, where other customers were startled and looked at me with such an awkward, sympathetic smile When I calmly indicated that I had not been asked anything and that I wouldn't mind getting a plate now, she turned around angrily without any reaction and simply walked away to the back while I was still talking... No excuses, no explanations, just unfriendliness and contempt. What customer service... BUT NOT REALLY. It was my first time here, and guaranteed to be my last. Even one star is still too much for this bakery.

Towards the end of the day, a lot of bread is always sold out, which is extremely frustrating. I would rather have six loaves left and donate them to the nearby nursing home than have to say no every-day. You have to go to the supermarket again, while you want to spend your money here. "Do I have to order it for you?" Well no - I don't know what time or whether I'll go to the shopping centre tomorrow. Sigh. "Then they'll just buy something else", thinks the baker. No, that's not why I'm here. "Then you order it online!" Just try paying cash online. In short: too bad.

I think it's a nice shop with certainly friendly staff, lots of delicious cakes, syrup waffles, and delicious bread.. I'm quite crazy about Zeebonkjes myself, that you get a small round brown bread.. and they are delicious.. I'll have it cut..

Very good tompouces and bread that you can buy here, very well made and good taste, choice of tompouces with or without whipped cream, very good! Unfortunately, I really didn't like the croissants, what a shame, what a contrast, very crumbly/dry, that could be better with baker's dough, too little water and/or the oven temperature is almost certainly too low.

Disrespectful older employee behind the coffee machine. She looks straight into your eyes and instead of helping you, she stands around and fiddles with a few bowls. Then I went to the competitor.

You have a sales point from baker Van der Eijk, and you have people who run it. In the area of ​​the latter, a little more efficiency, a little more speed and a little more determination would be appropriate. This way you know that in 99.9% of cases a PIN transaction is successful, so having to wait after each customer until the pensioner has put away her cards takes an enormous amount of time! Great products, but if there are more than two customers waiting in the store, I walk to the nearest supermarket. Inside you scream 'tempooooooo' when you are waiting. After all, as a breadwinner, time is money.

Visiting the toilet was no longer allowed because the toilet had already been cleaned an hour before closing time. 1 of the most basic things needed.

Another delicious meal in the lunchroom! Enough choice for young and old. You can have a good lunch here with freshly made sandwiches or rolls that you can also buy in the store itself. In addition to lunch, you can also have a cup of coffee here with a delicious cake. The prices are good and there is often a table available. Highly recommended!

Uitstekende zaak met zeer goede etenswaar en gezellige koffiecorner.

Heerlijk brood, gebak, koek, bonbons enz. Erg aardig personeel. Je kunt punten sparen met elke euro die je uitgeeft. En de punten kun je inwisselen voor lekkere producten.

Super bakker, voor brood en gebak. Altijd heerlijk. En leuk personeel.

Gezellig, goede producten, vers

Goede bakker, we komen er graag voor de taarten en gebak als er wat te vieren is. Of voor het brood en het assortiment harde en zachte broodjes. Eigenlijk is alles goed. En dat ze ook thuisbezorgen vinden wij een zeer groot pluspunt.

Heerlijke gebakjes te verkrijgen hier! Als we echt iets te vieren hebben gaan we hier naartoe! Wel prijzig in vergelijking met taart van de supermarkt, maar het verschil waard.

Gildekorn gekocht. Lekkerder dan brood uit de supermarkt!!
