A wonderfully cozy, welcoming place. Wonderful to lose yourself among those books with a cup of coffee, tea, or a glass of wine. There's also regular live music on weekend evenings. A real gem!

A really nice book café with a lot of potential! We popped in for a coffee and a sandwich while studying. However, one of the employees really pushed us to order more. We wanted to order more, but we felt completely uncomfortable with the pressure. Such a shame! We would have liked to come more often, but not anymore. The rest of the staff seemed friendly! Oh, and the garden is lovely!

I don't know of any café that succeeds so versatilely. For socializing, reading, studying, contemplating, drinking coffee, or simply relaxing. I've noticed that when I'm in other cities, I look for something like Libertas. The staff is quirky and friendly, and the customers are just as welcoming. A mix of locals, students, and others. One of my regular spots in Arnhem, indispensable.

Didn't have time for food and drinks. So maybe after next visit we move up to 5 stars in total?

I've been here before, but this time it was disappointing. The waitstaff barely paid any attention to the guests, and the staff were more busy chatting with each other behind the bar. The music was blaring, and I had to wait half an hour for tea. I've had better experiences here.

It's a shame that a lady who has just finished school decides whether you have had enough to drink. And then you have a bill of only 47.5 euros for 2 people. It's a shame, but we as neighbors don't come here anymore unfortunately.

Very nice place to say goodbye to colleagues, end a family day or just have a small party. Great place in the middle of a real city district. An oasis.....

The owner can't stand students! Ideally you should order a new drink every half hour otherwise you will be politely asked to leave even though the café is empty and there is plenty of space everywhere! There are tables where you are not allowed to sit and work on your laptop!! This is still a book café NOT A RESTAURANT!!! The two of us sat there for two hours, worked and each had a coffee and we were there outside of regular visiting hours... So anyone with a fat wallet and little time is more than welcome here!!! In and of themselves these rules are not a problem but they are not written down anywhere and you are not informed about them in any other way. If I had been informed about them in advance I would not have gone there in the first place!

Super friendly and welcoming people with a relaxed atmosphere. You can also sit comfortably indoors or outdoors, and they regularly host live performances. You can bring your own food, but you can also order delicious pasta from the neighbors.

Tons of books to read and buy, nice coffee and cake, while your listening to a local artists perform their craft, wich may be poetry, music or theater. Big recommendation for a relaxed summer afternoon, a morning walk sit or just passing by, its all great

Nice place in the fashion district with a surprising ambiance. Beautiful terrace, delicious coffee, attentive service. You order the food from the Italian in the company. Unfortunately, not everything on the menu was in stock.

The drinks were very tasty as were the cookies. Is a quiet and cozy place to sit with a large terrace at the back. There are also games and such for the children to play with inside, so you can easily keep them busy for a while. The prices are somewhat similar to other catering establishments.

A nice and quiet environment. You can read books there that they have in stock. There are many different types of seating. You can order food and small sweet snacks at the bar and in the room next to dinner such as pasta and risotto.

I am obsessed with this café. The atmosphere here is magical. Books covering the walls, romantic lights, candles, plants, artsy posters, clocks, statues. Comfy sofas and adorable tables, I am just loving it. This place is literally the definition of cozy. . However, there is a problem with their cappuccino. The moment it arrives, it is already gone. It's just too good with its incredible foam. But not only! Everything I have tried here is delicious. You can literally see people (and dogs!!) of all ages. People come to enjoy a beverage alone, with friends, family, their newborn. Young and older couples play games and enjoy a delicious pasta together. People (including me) also come with their laptops to study or work. And don’t get me started on the waitresses. They are all so welcoming and kind. Without a doubt, this place feels like home.

What a lovely cafe. In January we donated my mother's extensive library to Carmen for her book café but had not had the opportunity to visit until last week. Carmen is a top hostess with a particularly beautiful smile and enormous relaxation. I will definitely come here again. Next to Café Libertas there is a pasta takeaway restaurant that also serves meals in the café. The risotto was broom salty. Returned to the cook as it was too salty but the next portion was equally salty. My table companion's pasta was also far too salty. Anyway, that is a completely different company than Liberitas. So five stars for Carmen, zero stars for the pasta restaurant

You should definitely visit this place when you are in Arnhem. Nice atmosphere, board games, books, specialty beer, etc. But especially for the friendly atmosphere and conviviality. The staff know what they are doing, the terrace is really great and the number of beer and wine types is enough. Doing!

I had once attended a farewell drink before. Then I noticed that it was a pleasant place to sit down and work (a lot is also done there). But now we decided to sit down and read. Selected a nice chair and ordered a cake and tea. I thought they didn't have sandwiches because it wasn't on the menu and you can bring your own food. But later you will find that there is a counter in the hallway where you can order sandwiches and pasta, among other things (good to know!). Around 3 o'clock it became very full and not everyone who came in could find a spot. Later I ordered another latte and then I went again. Definitely come back again to work, for example. Or to play games, there are also many games!! Legend: 1) Terrible! I don't recommend it, I will never come back! 2) Too bad, below my expectations, I won't come again. 3) Ok, nothing wrong with that, but nothing special, nice for once. 4) Fine, worth coming back. 5) Excellent! I recommend, I will definitely come back!

Goed personeel, fijne plek. Alleen de werkgever (die er af en toe is) is echt een hele rare snuiterd.

Nice and cozy atmosphere. I like the vibe and the fact that everyone can dive into their own world. However, the service can get annoying. I just joined some friends for an hour and the waitress keeps coming back and asks if we want drinks and you kinda get pushed into ordering. I understand that the café wasn't busy at that moment and it was getting late, but if I want a drink I will definitely get some myself. As someone who sometimes works as a barista, I believe the drinks can be better. The prices are fair, but the coffees can be improved. I don't want the people who work there to be fired or change, it would be nice just to take it a bit easier, we all have had to improve in what we do and this is no exception :) I wish you all well and hope to see you sometime again.

Relaxte plek. Goeie koffie, heerlijke taart, erg vriendelijk personeel. Èn lkkr veel boeken die je mag lezen! Ging even koffie drinken na een lange wandeling en heb er 1 1/2 uur zitten lezen met fijne muziek op de achtergrond.

Buiten heerlijk als weer goeed is, binnen gezellig als je van drukte houdt.

Gezellige sfeer, helmaal vandaag omdat er ook nog een vintagemarkt was. Gezellig in samenwerking met de buren voor de Italiaanse hapjes. Een boek uitzoeken en (betaald) meenemen naar huis ontkom je natuurlijk niet aan.

It was a lovely experience! A place that you could really spend hours without realizing it! The atmosphere, placement of interiors and books are amazing, along with really nice customer service. The staffs are really friendly and helpful. I had a delicious apple pie and ice latte there.

Een boeken cafe dus er staan zoals te verwachten overal boeken. Het heeft daardoor een huiselijke en gezellige sfeer. Er is ook een terras aan de achterkant. Je kunt er eigenlijk alleen iets drinken maar ze hebben ook wat gebak en wat noten en crackers bij de borrel. Dus de hapjes zijn extreem beperkt. De dipsaus van de crackers was trouwens wel erg lekker Wel hebben ze diverse ook wat apartere frisdrankjes, speciaalbier en wijn. Het werd mij niet duidelijke of de boeken die ze hebben ook te koop of te leen zijn of alleen daar ter plekke gelezen kunnen worden. Maar wel leuk concept.
