Bar XO in Centrum

You get refused entry because of your style, clothing, or skin color. I had neatly placed my bag in the car when the security guard told me I wasn't allowed to enter with my bag. Then the security guard looked me up and down and told me that I didn't fit in here and referred me to LOFT; it would be better to go there, as they fit in with you guys. Discrimination. I am 31 years old and this is still happening…. Shame, really shame. In 2023, I was also refused entry because I have dreadlocks, and my twin brother doesn't have dreads, yet he was allowed in because he was there earlier with 3 Dutch guys. When I came alone, I was checked, and then my brother was allowed in with his bag…. Ultimately, they were looking for a reason to refuse me without discriminating, but the end result was “you don't fit in here.” And this is absurd; they decide who they check and who is allowed in. I think this is a shame because they are ruining the entire nightlife of Arnhem. As I see in other comments, I am not the only one having a weird experience. BARXO YOU CAN DO BETTER!!

Scammed during King's Day. I paid 12 euros for a water and a beer, which is at least 4 euros too much. They also didn't show the amount beforehand, so I only saw it after I had already paid.

RACIST !!! The bouncer let my friend and me enter without checking our IDs, but when it came to the rest of our friends, he stopped them and checked their IDs. After seeing that they were from different countries (France and India), he told them they were not allowed to enter and said that only Dutch people were allowed inside, claiming those were the “rules.” This was very surprising and upsetting, especially because we have been there many times before and have never heard of such a rule. It was also confusing because my friend and I are not Dutch either, yet we were allowed in without any problem.

My Christmas evening was ruined because of the appalling treatment by the bar staff, who refused to serve me for reasons they made up themselves. They refused to sell me not only alcohol, but even water, and also denied me access to the restroom. I was morally humiliated and discriminated against. Someone had already written in the reviews that they felt a racist attitude in this place — I join them. I do not recommend going there if you are not Dutch for ten generations.

Felt absolutely robbed after ordering a 2 drinks, £31 💀

We rented the upstairs for a bachelor party. Communication was excellent; I received a response on the same day almost every time I emailed. The agreements were clearly written down and adhered to. The costs were also very reasonable. We arranged a welcome drink and 2 tokens per person. The music was also very nice, and we were even able to turn it off for a while during our organized pub quiz upstairs. All in all, good service and a fun evening!

Their red wine was actually really good 🍷🍷— definitely a nice surprise! The staff were nice and quick, which always makes a difference. The crowd was pretty laid-back and friendly too 😊

IF YOU ARE BLACK DO NOT GO TO THIS BAR!!! My friend and I went for dinner and after we were in the mood to enjoy a few beers and some good music. The security guard at the front told me “ We are not letting in any of your kind, go somewhere else.” My friend and I are black. I was shocked and felt embarrassed. This was my first time experiencing racism. We walked away and went straight home. How can an establishment allow their employee to treat people like this. Many other people have had the same experience based on the reviews I’ve read.

Discriminatory door policies. On top of that, mentally unstable bouncers who enjoy taking advantage of drunk customers. Why are these kinds of establishments still allowed to operate?

Had a great evening with friends at this bar, good music, and great service from bar staff, The waitress that looked after our table spoke English exceptionally well and was very friendly, if you're in the area I recommend you try this bar you will not be disappointed, big thank you to the bar staff

We were 5 germans actually experiencing racism by the guy shown on the pitctures. One of my mates met him at the toilets and asked him if it was okay to pee next to him. The idiot directly grabbed him by the shoulder and escorted him out without a reason. After i saw that, i asked him why he kicked my mate out. After hearing This question he also grabbed me and physically pushed me out of the smoking area without saying a thing. I was shooked by his behavior and couldnt say a thing. This Man should be fired right away since he is not able to evaluate real danger. After standind outside the club for multiple minutes he just looked at us intimidating for no reason what so ever. Worst security i have ever experienced in my life.

Very arbitrary door policy. It's also not possible to talk normally to the guards...

Dubious cafe, poor treatment of visitors. Your drink is thrown over you in the toilet. Bouncers have been in court in the past. Never go there.

Last weekend a dark boy was abused by the security guard for no reason. Boy walks up and smokes a cigarette Security guard speaks to him without reason (boy was inside for less than 1 minute) The security guard, especially the aggressor, asked the boy several times why he spoke to him like that, only to be grabbed by the throat and kneed.

Literally 1 dirty fat bald security who tried not to let me in 9/10 times, this man always has excuses... blakkas and mocros don't read this at all, because you can't even get in XD

The bouncer won't let you in if he doesn't know you, what kind of idiotic concept is that?! He also suddenly pushed my friends back for no reason, they were just waiting and this man had a spontaneous outburst

The atmosphere was incredible!! For a Wednesday night, the music was interesting and the atmosphere and energy matched what we were looking for. The drinks were a little too expensive and the bar closed earlier than expected, but overall it was a very worthwhile experience!

Leuke kroeg, was ook leuk uitgaan op de woensdag (een van de weinig tentjes die goed vol was) qua leeftijd rond de 20 en de 25-27 jaar of zo.

Στέκι! Ωραίος χώρος αλλά το Σάββατο έχει τόσο κόσμο που δεν χώρας ούτε να χορέψεις. Ο dj δεν δέχεται παραγγελίες τραγουδιών.

Iedereen die er werkt zijn super aardig, behalve de uitsmijters die zijn niet heel chill. Voor de rest echt een toptent.
