Café Biljart De Zaak in St. Marten/Sonsbeek

My Christmas evening was ruined because of the appalling treatment by the bar staff, who refused to serve me for reasons they made up themselves. They refused to sell me not only alcohol, but even water, and also denied me access to the restroom. I was morally humiliated and discriminated against. Someone had already written in the reviews that they felt a racist attitude in this place — I join them. I do not recommend going there if you are not Dutch for ten generations.

Horrible staff! If you're a woman, they won't respect you. They're incredibly rude and shouldn't work in hospitality. It's a real shame since it's a nice little cafe. Not recommended.

A wonderfully cozy, welcoming place. Wonderful to lose yourself among those books with a cup of coffee, tea, or a glass of wine. There's also regular live music on weekend evenings. A real gem!
