Got a filled cookie and an Amsterdammer Koek here. €3.20 each. For that money you would expect quality. The filled cookie was reasonably tasty, just like the Amsterdammer cookie. The filled cookie did have 5 almonds on top. It was tasty but still not quite perfect. The service was very friendly and quick. The shop is clean and tidy and everything was in stock.

They have a lot of delicious cakes and cookies.

Delicious different pastries. Looked great, but the taste was heavenly! Nice service in a craft store. We were in Amstelveen by chance, and the shop window drew us in, we certainly don't regret it!

Arnold Cornelis has been my family's FIRST CHOICE for all our special celebration cakes for over 30 years in Amsterdam and I wish I had written a review for this amazing family run patisserie before now to share our great experience with them. We have ALWAYS had the highest quality in service and the cakes they deliver. They really care about giving their customers the very BEST and go the "extra" mile to create something special for them. We highly recommend Arnold Cornelis cakes for any occasion. Our particular favourites have always been the chocolate truffle "Dome" cake and also the Marzipan topped cake filled with beautiful sponge base with strawberries & cream - delicious! For my mother's big birthday a couple of years ago, we ordered the profiterole pyramid - a real "WOW" factor for a special celebration! Recently we tried something new and we were not disappointed: their fantastic RED VELVET cake, topped with white chocolate sprinkles - delicious and SOOO pretty! I was a bit late to order a special Mother's Day cake for my lovely mum this time (we also celebrate the UK Mother's Day in March) but when I called up Stephan Cornelis to see if he could make a cake for me at such short notice, he was really wonderful and assured me it would be possible. I didn't want to cause extra work for the Cornelis team by giving them a "long message" to have to write on the cake and just asked them to make it a simple "Happy Mother's Day". But next day, when we received the cake, Stephan had checked what we had ordered in previous years and surprised us by writing ALL our names on the cake and making the decoration extra pretty & delicate with hearts and a pink tint, sooo sweet! What a wonderful effort and initiative from the Cornelis team to make us smile! We were extremely touched by this extra effort, thanks sooo much Stephan, we really appreciate it x My tip would be: if you don't quite see what you are looking for on their website, just give Arnold Cornelis a call and let them know what you want and I'm sure they will do their best to create something delicious and beautiful for you.

Quite tasty, but not very special what you get for that (much) money.

Luxury chocolates (with drinks) €36 per 500g. More than twice as expensive as Martinez, while the quality is somewhat lower.

The pastries are not bad, but not particularly special considering the price. In any case, the apple rounds are very tasty and therefore 3 stars. What really irritates me is the seller, what a huge neurotic he is! Everything has to be done quickly, quickly, even if you are the only one in the store. I thought it was just me, but more people around me seem to have the same experience with this man. I won't go there anymore, because the last time he was just rude.

Got 3 pastries €10.75 ok apple point did not taste good or it came from the freezer strawberry pastry with only whipped cream and clotted sugar base not tasty whipped cream point very boring but OK according to the person who ate it Certainly not worth repeating

My wife's mother birthday wow 97 year old! So we buy a fantastic cake at Arnold Cornelis never any quality issues in the past alway great. Pick up a hazelnut cake cut out 4 pieces and we all had a bit..... Yuk ! taste like shaving cream and sugar so sweet sickening.Monday they are closed the Tuesday I will call and let them know but first I write this post! Even Jazmine didn't like it! (dogggy) lol Update 22-03-21 So..... I took the cake back explained what was wrong with it, they checked it out and later gave me a coupon for a new one. End of the day good service we are all human things can go wrong! Happy customer again.

The cakes and pastries are very good, but the price/quality ratio is poor. 18 euros for a strawberry carton means nothing anymore...

everything is always super delicious. but the tastiest sausage rolls in the Netherlands!
