Excellent quality pastries and friendly and helpful staff. In terms of offering, it does feel a bit traditional, I would like it if there were more modern pastries or more experimentation, but hey, that's a personal thing. Amstelveen peat is one of the favorites at our house ❤️

Good stuff, but the ice cream guys don't understand anything and can't hold an ice cream spoon in their hands. There aren't many flavors, which is a pity... but that's what you get when you hire girls aged 12 to 15. Then the quality deteriorates. Nice, cheap staff. I won't be going there anymore.

We had a very bad impression with this cake store, we chose this place based on the reviews. We ordered a chocolate cake for the first birthday, and when we tried it, it was not a chocolate cake, but a sugar cake you feel the sugar crunching in your mouth, so bad that none of our guests even ate it.

The ice-cream flavor of malaga had a strange freezing taste, as if it had previously melted and then frozen again. The chocolate flavor was okay. Seems like a nice place but probably not the best to have fresh gelato.

Ordered 2 days ago for Saturday a nice anniversary cake for 4-6 pax. Collected it today. The cake was ready and gorgeously made. The taste was Chipolata with a nice marzipan base. Iwas not too sweet or dry. Just right.The incription on the cake was done as requested. Highly recommende

For the rest, friendly and helpful staff who are up for a chat since Koolhaas is a household name in Amstelveen and many people go there for bread / pastries / ice cream.

The pastries are quite expensive, which is logical for handicrafts, but I expected better flavors. For example, the banana puff did not contain any banana, the amaretto pastry was mainly sweet. Loose almond cookies and petit fours were very tasty.

Never buy a Sarah cake there, you get a cake with Black Pete with a veil over his face has nothing to do with Sarah and if you go back the answer is that's how I've been making it for 50 years I think we are now living in 2020 The cake has been adjusted, but now it is a rasta pop. Nice case, the products look good. Was in the area today and stopped here for some currant buns for the road. These were fine, and a filled cookie for dessert was absolutely fantastic. The chipolata schnitt for tonight at home was unfortunately less. The cake is too dry and the filling is not very exciting, a bit tasteless. The marzipan on top was tasty, but there were no fruits or drinks in sight. It would be better to look for another recipe for this. Still 4 stars instead of 3 because the shopkeeper was particularly friendly and hospitable.

Delicious pastries, especially the petit fours! But often the employees can be found at the back of the store and not at the counter. Which means you regularly have to wait and listen while they tell entire stories to each other and don't pay attention to the customer.

Delicious cakes for decent price and they make to order.you can order 2 days before and get it customized as it suits you. They have very delicious muffins and pastries as well which you can try. Also very nice ice cream
