Artesano is an absolute gem in Haarlem! Their bread is truly exceptional — with a wonderfully crisp, delicious crust and rich, authentic flavor. The focaccia is outstanding, and the cinnamon roll is my son’s absolute favorite. We always come back with great pleasure, not only for the amazing baked goods but also because we feel so welcomed and at home in their company. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately, I didn't have a pleasant experience at Artisano in Haarlem. It took ages. The latte was served cold, the cheesecake tasted noticeably salty, and the focaccia was hard, dry, and resembled a strange type of instant yeast dough rather than real focaccia. To my surprise, they even spontaneously decided to close half an hour early. What bothered me most was that someone stirring the mixture dipped her finger twice in it (without gloves) and then simply continued stirring, which was very unhygienic. I also noticed mistakes being made during checkout, including for other people. I just let it go, but someone else who reported that it seemed inaccurate did get the difference refunded! The staff were loud and chatting amongst themselves. All in all, a disappointing experience. Such a shame :(

The rotating 'lekkers are always cool with fun ideas and lot of variety, but their sourdough CANNOT be beat. It's incredible. No better in Haarlem! Plus the staff is all very nice

Amazing sourdough bakery with homemade crustly fresh loaves! Their foccacia is a family-favorite :) I Also wanted to try one of their pastry's, so I got a black forest croissant. They definitely didn't skimp on the indulgent delicious chocolaty fruit filling and the croissant itself was beautifully flaky. So if you visit, get yourself some pastries! I'm a fan of the coffee here btw. It isn't even a coffee café type of place, but they serve the best flat whites. There's a few tables where you can sit down. We came in the afternoon and had a perfect view of the employees making bread doughs, which was super fun.

Madre de Dios, this bakery is amazing. Outstandingly tasty foccacia, financier, & my favourite croissant with Dulce de Leche - I am coming to Haarlem specifically for this. In one word - Paradise on Earth!

I died and went to heaven. I picked up and had some nice pastry wich was fantastic, but the absolute star of the show is the cheese onion focaccia. I never in my life had something so amazing. And i CANNOT reccomend it more, it is the most delicious and fluffy bread i even head and i think this has got to be a new staple in my house. 10/10 would reccomend

Top quality bakery located in the heart of Haarlem. As a regular here, I dare to say their sourdough bread is the best in town. Crusty on the outside, airy and soft within. Additionally, they have an array of pastries as well changing from time to time. Don’t miss out on their Empanadas, Pao de Queijo, and Dulce de Leche desserts.

Absolutely lovely experience here! We came in later, and even though most of the stock was gone( because eits all amazing) they managed to make some lovely empanadas for us with a great cup of tea.

Very cosy and friendly staff, makes you feel like visiting family. Everything is made with a lot of attention and expertise. The bread is definitely something special, and they make their sourdough breads without adding any yeast. You can really taste that they use high quality ingredients and organic products as much as possible. I have tried most bakeries in Haarlem and Heemstede, and Artesano has quickly become my new favourite. Also a great place to have a coffee and enjoy one of the weekly specials (I personally love their cardemom bullar), especially if you like a buzzy Latin vibe, and a hearty chat with the owners. Am I sounding overly positive? Go visit and find out yourself!
