Good Bear Cookies in Oude Stad

This place is awesome! All the cookies are bear themed and the people running it are genuinely super nice - probably because they’re surrounded by cookies all day. They bake throughout the day so the cookies are always fresh and stay fresh for 4 days (not that they last that long when I’m around!) I also highly recommend the cookie latte (hot) - it’s blended cookie and milk (oat milk available👌🏻🍪) - just have a blanket nearby so you can nap after.🥰

I went in wanting a cookie and some milk. When I asked the lady, she mentioned that they don't have it on the menu but will get it anyways for me🥹. Suuper super nice and pretty reasonable with a terrific atmosphere! 10/10 would recommend

We had the classic chocolate chip and one with pecans. The chocolate chip was a bit too sweet for us. The other one tasted great.

What a fun shop! The cookies were delicious, we had a grizzly, a panda and the yuzu matcha. The matcha deserves special praise because I hate the stuff but found that one delicious. Special shout-out the the staff who were very talkative and pleasant, believe it was George? Definitely worth a visit!

I can only speak about this place in superlatives. The cookies are fantastic, and the minimalist design adds to the overall experience. Most of the time, the owner is behind the counter, and they are incredibly flexible when it comes to orders. You always get the feeling that you are genuinely welcome here and that their main goal is to make sure the customer leaves happy. And naturally, happy customers spread the word, which I’m more than happy to do. That’s why the place already has fans in Utrecht as well :)

Very cute cafe, they are fast and also very nice, they help you with everything. The cookies are very soft and tasty. Better than a well-known cookie brand from Amsterdam! I had the mango matcha; I don't always like matcha, but this one was amazing! Highly recommended!!

I ordere the Hakuna Matcha, Dulce De Leche and Yuzu cookies: - Hakuna Matcha: Evident matcha flavour and nice addition of white chocolate and raspberry, 10/10 😍 - Yuzu: Very unique, a great combination with a sour but fitting hint of yuzu, 9/10 - Dulce De Leche: Great cookie, simple but really good, 8.5/10 The interior is nice, but it can become crowded pretty fast as there is not a lot of space. Prices are decent ranging from 3.50 to 4.50 euros a cookie. Service was great, the employees really make an effort to strike a conversation with the customers ☺️ Some of the best cookies I ever ate. Might be a bit too sweet if you do not have a sweet tooth tho.

It’s sometimes hard for us to find good chewy gooey cookies (not crispy) in Europe but these really hit the spot! The branding and names were so clever but more importantly, the flavors were fantastic. Would definitely recommend!

Terrible customer service. Arrogant employees who completely ignore you. And the prices are ridiculous. 5 euros for a tiny, crappy cookie that has no taste besides 1kg of sugar. I might as well get one from Albert Heijn; then I won't have to run into employees like that again.

Firstly, when I walked into the store none of the workers decided to talk to me they much rather speak with one another without addressing the ONLY costumer in the building. Secondly, I told them that my son was allergic to nuts and they offered nut free cookies. After I paid I took the first bite and realized it had nuts. Shame on you!

Best cookies in town. Our regular monthly day trip from Rotterdam to Haarlem hasn't been complete lately without a stop at Good Bear Cookies. The cookies are truly top-notch: fresh, soft on the inside, and full of flavor. We are also always served kindly by the guy behind the counter.

The staff were so warm and welcoming, the customer service is amazing. The cookies are cooked at perfection with a crispy exterior and a soft interior and they are all made with quality ingredients (I highly recommend the grizzly one). It’s a food stop you can’t miss if you’re visiting Haarlem.

This was the most satisfying cafe I visited during my trip to the Netherlands. The staff were incredibly friendly and made everyone feel at ease, regardless of who they were. The taste was also fantastic. I had an iced cookie latte, an iced Americano, and a pistachio cookie, and they were all delicious. I also appreciated the stylish, neat, and clean interior.

My wife, our two boys, and I were returning from a long bike ride. One of my boys spotted the shop and wanted a milkshake. So we went in for a milkshake, and after we all tried my son's vanilla milkshake (simply the best I've ever had), we ordered two more, along with a delicious iced coffee and two caramel cookies. In addition to the delicious products, the place is very beautiful, and Juriaan, the owner, is just super friendly. We can't wait to come back to Haarlem as a family and, of course, make a delicious stop at Good Bear.

Last weekend I visited Good Bear Cookies and picked up five different cookies. What a delicious surprise! The cookies are absolutely delicious: a little crispy around the edges, but soft and chewy inside—just the way a good cookie should be. What struck me most was that they weren't too rich or too sweet. The flavors are perfectly balanced, making you want to take another bite (or two) without feeling guilty. A definite must-try for anyone who loves good, artisanal cookies. I'll definitely be back to try more flavors!

Stopped in today for the first time, and we will be back again! I had the white panda, my wife went for the classic chocolate chip. Both were delicious and baked to perfection. The staff member said they bake them throughout the day, so they are always fresh. Delicious cookies, friendly staff, and a cozy place to warm up. What's not to love? Also convenient location in the center, minutes from the station.

I had a delicious Hakuna matcha cookie. I'm someone who loves trying new things and is often pleasantly surprised by new flavors. This matcha cookie was one to remember for the next time I land in Haarlem from Rockanje 😄 but hey, the owner said he's busy shipping it 🤞🏼

Every time we walk past this place, my Shiba Inu becomes a certified drama queen and must go inside—like she has hee own loyalty card. I swear she digs her heels in and drags me through the door. So now, every time, I end up buying a cookie. And honestly? Worth it! delicious combinations. The cookie is so delicious that I’ve stopped pretending I’m buying it “for the dog.” My Shiba thinks she’s manipulating me… but joke’s on her—I’m the one enjoying bakery-level happiness. 10/10 would let my dog drag me in again. 🍪🐕✨

I found this place by accident and the bear design caught my eye. They have a nice variety of cookies, and I tried the Grizzly cookie which I really loved. Still, the viral cookie place in Amsterdam is better in my opinion, even though they only have one type of cookie and the price is about the same

These cookies are simply a revelation! We were in Haarlem last year to see the city and came back this year just to buy more cookies. They surpassed my memory! Soft, buttery but not too greasy, and the perfect flavor combination. I even reheated one in the oven after two days as described, and it still beats every other cookie I've ever eaten by a mile!

This place is amazing! I've accidentally stumbled upon it before dinner. We hoped for some miracle that they would still be open after 8 pm, but that was unfortunately not the case. Staff were very welcoming, cookie's were great, and the selection is quite large. Been visiting Haarlem more often because of them. Would definitely recommend!

The cookies are so good here, honestly my favorite. But I went at 17:47 on Saturday and they were already closed even though it says they’re open till 18:00. Was really disappointed because I really wanted one. I’ll still come back though, because the cookies are worth it.

We were in Haarlem today, and I bought these cookies. Kung Fu Matcha was my absolute favorite!!! Sooooo yummy! A perfect combination of matcha dough and chocolate. We drove back to Haarlem just before the store closed (we'd already been back to Alkmaar in the meantime)...stocked up for the drive home tomorrow ;) Everything in the store is simply perfect! If you like cookies, you'll love the Good Bear cookies!

I admit, it's hard to impress me with sweet cookies for the simple reason that everything feels the same to me. At least that's what I thought until I came across this lovely place. This shop offers cookies that are second to none. There is a selection of surprising flavors and combinations, a kind staff that will show maximum patience with you, explain and adjust the taste so that you will be as satisfied as possible. In addition, I was honored to be the first purchaser of the new T-shirt collection from which 5 euros were donated to save bears in Germany. I'm sure I'll be back here again and this is also an opportunity to thank the wonderful team that works there and takes care of the highest level of customer experience down to the smallest details! Lots of success in the future!

Best cookies I've had in the world

Similar to other disappointing cookies in the NL, the base batter doesn't use vanilla or a mix of white and dark brown sugar (or if they do it's in undetectable amounts). This leaves a cookie that tastes only of butter, flour, and sugar; no depth of flavor outside of the add-ins. Decent texture if you like a bit softer cookies, and on the plus side they use good chocolate and have a nice variety of flavors. I suggest less focus on marketing gimmicks and more on the cookie itself.

The owner really knows what she is doing. Attention to detail, quality ingredients and love for the cookies. Blue bear, Grizzli & koda are a must try. Best cookies in the galaxy!

The good bear cookies are totally worth it! 🙌 They are that good, that I am happy to drive an hour just to get some cookies as we don’t live nearby! 😃 you can tell that these cookies are made with high quality ingredients and love! 🫶 They are not too sweet and there is so much variety that we pick different flavours every time we go! What makes these cookies unique is the perfect balance between the outer crunch with a gooey, buttery inner texture. Even days after buying them, they are still delicious! We also love popping them in the oven to warm them up again and enjoy the amazing melted high quality chocolate. 😋 last but not least, the shop is centrally located, always really clean, and the people are super friendly!!! 🙏❤️🤗

Very very very tasty cookies made from the best ingredients and with love. Large selection of light, brown and green cookies with different combinations of chocolate, nuts and fruit - every cookie looks delicious and tastes sensationally good! The cookies last up to 6 days in the fridge and are delicious both iced and hot - depending on how you want the chocolate, either crispy cold or melted, liquidy warm. The service in the shop is very friendly and sells the cookies like gold with a lot of passion.
