The coffee is delicious and gentle, just like I like it. And the waiters are very nice and good people🥰

Ordered delicious baguettes. Unfortunately, they didn't have much time. They also took longer than expected, but we received them promptly. They tasted delicious and were fresh. The staff were also very friendly.

The August is a nice spot to spend some time catching up with friends, while you are waiting for the train, to work or just simply to have a coffee by yourself. It has a pleasant atmosphere, it is spacious and the coffee and food are good. However, I am giving it 3 stars because we wanted to have a coffee and a quick bite before heading to the station and ended up waiting 30min for two baguettes..

Lukewarm cappuccino even if you indicate that you want your cappuccino extra hot. You can drink cappuccino in one gulp, so it's lukewarm, it turns out to be the new way of preparing coffee.

4.5 for medium cappuccino. Tiny cookie next to it. The cappuccino was ok. Ok to work here with your laptop, but no outlets in sight.

It's close to Central, so it's great for kagong!! It was the sweetest and most delicious chai latte I had in The Hague.

I eat the avocado salad here. It's top quality. Edit: i returned here recently and the service has really gone downhill. Super rude staff didn't even give me a chance to finish my order before demanding payment.

Always happy to pass by for a coffee, sandwich, or a yoghurt. In my opinion there could be some more granola in the yoghurt you get served, but other than that it's really good. Service friendly, prices fine, and inside it's really cosy!

It is a good and wide space to talk, enjoy coffee. The ambiance is very nice also they serve the coffee fast even though it was busy. I ordered cappuccino, it is okay but personally the coffee is too strong for me.

The quality of the sandwiches was good, as well as the salad. The coffee has a high acidity, which we didn't really like. What is disturbing is that there is no table service, but also no option to order from your table with a QR. There is also no menu on the table. You have to go to the counter to order, above which the menu hangs. You will then receive something with a QR code on it that you can use to order. The logic of this escapes me. All awkward.

The cold brew latte was really good.

Vanochtend een heerlijk Paas ontbijt ontvangen! Van de verpakking tot de smaak van het kaneelbroodje, met liefde bereid en ontvangen! Hun broodjes (mijn lieveling ei met ui) zijn heerlijk! Een aanrader!

August 2022 update: I was not really that hungry, but I wasn't about to revisit Den Haag anytime soon, so I entered August (this place) without many expectations. Their menu didn't seem too intriguing to me, but since I never ordered a baguette at a restaurant, I went with the one with goat cheese, plus a mocha latte. Here is how that went. The place's vibe is warm and welcoming. There is a long social table with magazines, and a few separate tables for a couple to a few people indoors. Outdoors has even more tables. It is clean. The music is on the quiet side and neutral, and the reverb is somehow muffled. It must be that there is enough space to worry about noise pollution, noticeably less than usual. Altogether, the place is very comfortable and pleasant. On that account alone, I wasn't sorry at all that I picked August to sit in. 5/5 The staff was very professionally friendly. Thank you for being there for us. 5/5 The baguette was good bread, with the insides on the sweet side, and a few almonds and walnuts, counting numbers that were just fine. I liked the rucola addition. Even though I saw cheese being a dominant ingredient, the fruit compote taste dominates. So, this is a rather sweet one. I think the price is a bit on the high side, though one could make the argument that it can be expected from the city center in the Hague, and a place that is open early from 8. Something that I think didn't deliver on the expectation of 'goat cheese baguette' is to feel more cheese. With a bit lower price, that would have been 3/5. However, with the price, I have to go for 2/5. About the mocha latte, well, this was my first mocha latte ever ordered. It was very professionally decorated and served with a spoon (see the photo). From this one, I got the sense of it being on the cafe americano rather than on the milky side. And, I would have appreciated it being more of a regular latte with chocolate added. About the chocolate, that were noir bits with the biggest pieces being around 1 cm long, so if you like that, go for this drink. They serve it with two small pieces of cake that give notes of almonds, cinnamon, and ... mint? An uncommon taste, for sure. Perhaps mocha isn't for me, but that is on me. I found the portion rather generous for the price and location. Altogether, I will give it 3/5. It is a tough call. The food clearly isn't why I would revisit the center of Den Haag, and this place is not an exception in that regard 3/5. However, August offers an extraordinary ambient, especially when not busy. That is extraordinary when I consider the nearby places. Thus, giving this place a 4/5 overall.

Heerlijke gezonde zuurdesem sandwiches en huis gemaakte soep

Je kunt er prima zitten maar jammer dat je voor moet bestellen en dat het dan naar je tafel wordt gebracht. Ik had een tosti geitenkaas met honing en pecan noten. I.p.v. gewoon brood kreeg ik een baguette. Deze was aan de harde kant en de honing en pecan noten moest ik met een lampje zoeken. Met de hoeveelheid aan ontbijt/lunch gelegenheden in de buurt zal ik hier niet snel meer terugkomen.

Twee keer het brood besteld voor zondagmorgen en dat is uitstekend. Echt heerlijk vers brood, groot succes voor het hele gezin.

Ben een trouwe klant, met de uitbreiding (ook al jaren inmiddels) kan je er rustig zitten. Zou wel wat meer aanbod in kleine hapjes willen. Personeel ook erg vriendelijk.

Goede koffie en hun zelfgebakken brood is heerlijk!! Ontbijtpakket voor zondag is ook een aanrader!
