Stopped here by chance and very pleased that we did. Staff were very nice and very efficient. Food was excellent for all three of us.

A really nice restaurant right in the center of Woerden! You can sit outside or inside, and the interior is very cozy and welcoming. I had the Penne Polo and my friend had the gnocchi, and we both really enjoyed our meals! The Lava Cake was also sooo delicious! The service was lovely as well. The staff were very friendly and came by several times to ask how everything was and if we were enjoying our food. Everything was great, we really enjoyed our evening and will definitely come back!

An incredibly good restaurant, the food is excellent and you get value for money. It is nicely decorated, atmospheric, and you are always spoken to very kindly; highly recommended to eat here.

The food was very tasty! The service is extremely good and the atmosphere is good too! It is a pity, though, that they didn't have dame blanche.

Anyone who loves good Italian food must come here! We come here regularly and will certainly continue to do so. High-quality ingredients are used and the service is very friendly. The dessert of cannoli with pistachio sauce is exquisite.

We had a delicious meal with my ladies. The pizzas are delicious and next time we are going to try the pasta, delicious starters: bruschetta and warm bread rolls.

Cozy restaurant, no blaring pop music overhead. The pizzas are delicious, the service was friendly and attentive, and despite it being very busy, we all (6 people) had our orders within 15-20 minutes.

A lovely atmosphere and very friendly service! We enjoyed an excellent pizza and the Lambrusco was delicious! We didn't choose dessert from the menu, but from the three extras. We chose the Baba Rum dessert, a festive ending to a wonderful dinner.

The food is really good, but the kitchen was way too busy and couldn't handle it. They even cancelled a course because we had to wait too long.

Delicious food at a great price. Friendly and helpful staff. Parking is easy; there's a spacious parking garage right across from the restaurant. Highly recommended!

Delicious pizzas, friendly service and the desserts were to die for!

We had a pizza and a drink here. The pizzas were tasty and big. I think they are baked in a stone oven, because they are very good together. They checked regularly if everything was still okay and we were helped politely and friendly. Definitely worth eating here.

What a nice atmospheric place. We were there on a warm Sunday. The air conditioning worked well. Despite the crowds, we were helped quickly. Portions were good and it was very tasty for a nice price.

Excellent food, excellent service except it was stretched. An under-staffed staff working very hard and being attentive and courteous when they could be. The special linguine with pistachio and shrimp was subtle but flavourful, excellent. The carpaccio tartufa was fabulous, and generous, with Parmesan and pine-nuts. And the spinach soup was excellent, full flavoured. Recommended.

Good pizzas with tasty dough and rich toppings. An added bonus is that the pizzas are not too salty! The service is very friendly and fast. The restaurant is not very atmospheric or authentic - but it's all about the pizzas and pastas!

Everything was excellent; The restaurant is very nice and cozy, the Moscato is super delicious, the foccacia is delicious and the pasta is SPECTACULAR!!! Unfortunately, due to crowds, it took quite a while before someone came to us to take food or drinks. The bruschetta was fine, not high quality but fine. Unfortunately, the starter was very disappointing. The tenderloin had no flavor and the truffle sauce was so overpowering that the entire dish was no longer balanced. The coffee and a cannoli for dessert were both excellent! I think this is a great place where you can quickly get a good pizza, but I wouldn't choose it for an evening dinner. Shame!

Nice and attractively decorated Italian restaurant with a very extensive and affordable menu. The pizzas are baked in a beautiful wood-fired oven. I had pasta myself, which was also delicious.

I really think this is a nice thing and am normally very pleased with it. Picked up pizza this time. Was right on time. When I paid, it was suddenly €15 where I had expected €12. Why? Because I replaced the mozzarella with gorgonzola. So not extra, but replaced. I find it very disgusting. When I get home, the pizza is uncut. Can I still do that myself? Very disappointing this time.

After a previous positive experience (risotto with fish; it was tasty) with this restaurant, we ate here again last Friday. Now ordered the lasagna salmone. Well, lasagna... It was a big lump of dough with sauce thrown over it, i.e. the filling not between the layers, but all the layers tightly together and the sauce on top. And then put a slice of salmon on top like you buy in the supermarket. When fed back to the waiter that this is not lasagna and certainly not tasty that way, they said with a grin on their face that this is just the way they make it here. Because: we cannot make the three types of lasagna separately, so we prepare the leaves in advance and then add one of the three sauces over them; and it's faster this way (for the customer, they say; but more likely they mean for the chef). If you call yourself 'authentic Italian', you also have to make it the right way; and otherwise you shouldn't put it on the map. But the chef assured us as we left the restaurant that he has no intention of changing his methods; which turns out to be the case, because reading back I see previous similar criticisms for this dish. In short: bad dish and bad service (because absolutely no recognition for the criticism, and no action on it). Reason not to go to Avanti anymore.

For someone who calls themselves an authentic Italian restaurant, I find it strange that they have Hawaii pizza on the menu. The rest of the food we ordered was very tasty. The operation (speed) leaves much to be desired. When you have to sit down, someone is already there with the menu and before you can see it, you are asked what we want to drink (maybe wait until I have seen the drinks menu). That was also the last time of the evening that this was asked. The staff is extremely friendly but just doesn't pay attention. If you're lucky, they happen to walk by to bring food to another table so you can ask if they can get another round of drinks. It also took a very long time between the starter and main course. And when my wife and I had finished eating but our daughters were still halfway through their pizza, we were asked if we were done??? Should we leave or something? I don't recommend the bruschette pomodori (cold halved cherry tomatoes on a 3-second toasted bun) but that is a matter of taste. The Gnocchi 4 formaggi was excellent as was the Risotto with shrimp and asparagus. Will I eat there again? Don't think so, there are better ones in Woerden.

One time burned pizza I'd call bad luck but this was the second time this time I noticed it too late so I am left with a terrible aftertaste to make things worse I wasn't the only one with a burned pizza and mine wasn't even the worsed. Brushed my teeth instantly when I came home to get this terrible flavor away.

We had a delicious meal here on March 24 with 13 people. Not only were the pizzas good, but also the tournedos! No loud music! And friendly service. We would love to come back again

I have already eaten a delicious pizza twice. The calzone with minced meat sauce is highly recommended and the brusetta pomodoro is also recommended. Service is attentive and friendly. And adding garlic oil to the pizza itself was no problem at all. We will definitely come back.

Ordered the lasagna... you get a pile of dough stuck together with sauce poured over it. They probably prepare the dough lumps and choose from one of three toppings. So there is nothing between the layers. I chose lasagna bolognese, but saw something like 5 crumbs of minced meat in total. The taste of the sauce was nice, but this is not lasagna. Could have chosen spaghetti even better, although there was still little Bolognese. 🤷‍♀️ I said to the waiter, this is not really lasagna, there is nothing between the layers. He says “we hear that often” 🙈 The insalata mista was very tasty.

The atmosphere was cozy and the food was excellent. Just a pity that we had to wait 2 hours for it because they forgot about us... (nothing was done about the price)

Excellent food for a great price. Edit. Stick to pizza and pasta, they do it well. The tournedos we had recently was really not possible. Never had such difficulty with the meat, which is normally supposed to be buttery soft.

Oven delicious pizzas, always worth repeating.

The food was delicious, but the pizza base was very thin, so I wasn't full. Normally I often even leave some behind. The friend I was with wanted some extra vegetables, but that was not possible. She then had to order a whole salad.

If you want to eat really tasty Italian food, you've come to the right place. And the Tiramisu for dessert is highly recommended.

Definitely NOT RECOMMENDED! HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! Food is ok, although pasta was very greasy. Pizza was good. But the service was the WORST! LITERALLY WORST SERVICE I’ve ever experienced, maybe even a school canteen have better service than this. First of all, when they served my pasta, they gave a dirty spoon. Didn’t bring a fork, I had to pick it myself. There was a hair in my pasta, I called the waitress and showed her. First thing she said ‘I don’t think there is a hair’... then I showed her, she said ‘Oh, that’s a hair, a dark hair..’ I didn’t know what she means at that point. Then she just took my pasta away, did not say sorry. Then my friend asked if they are gonna do anything with the hair, maybe at least an apology or a discount? Because there were some shrimps and quite a few pasta when she took it away and obviously we though she would bring a new one. She came back with an offer for a limoncello, then when we said nobody wants it, just get us the bill. Then she said, ‘Oh well, I can’t do anything about it because the chef is bald, and I have blond hair myself, so actually it must have been your hair’. Then I say, this is really rude and we are very unsatisfied with you. Then the chef came out, angrily, and asked if we have any problems here? He heard that we kept asking for free stuff for a hair found in a pasta only at the last bite (obviously not true and even if it’s true it means that it cannot be my hair if it’s that deep into the pasta), and he finds it hard to believe and even if it was not my hair, it could have flown from somewhere so he didn’t understand what we wanted, but we will not get the free stuff we wanted! (He said all this in Dutch ofc). Btw he seems to forget that a woman working in the bar (seems like a manager) also has dark hair, and another waiter too. Eventually we wait at least 10 mins for the bill, did not get anything NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY!! So DON’T GO THERE unless you want to experience how bad can a service at the restaurant be.

Nice meal but that staff, pfffff. So inconsiderate, they find it more important to keep talking to each other than to welcome waiting guests, plates are taken away without asking if they enjoyed it, very uninterested/uninspired. Doesn't make it any more enjoyable, which is a shame!

Ate a delicious pizza. Even the base tasted good! The interior of the restaurant could use a little update. For example, the planter in the middle of the room was held together with duck tape and the air conditioning was leaking, which was diverted through a pipe and dripped into a bucket behind our table.

Very tasty food, but you sit very close to each other because the place is quite small. Long wait during peak times (40 minutes) and not very pleasant staff (not even the second time when it was much quieter). But I keep coming back for that pizza, incredibly tasty.

What a super kitchen there! I had the tenderloin with truffle sauce. To die for. Add some good red wine and enjoy a wonderful evening with friendly service. The menu is extensive enough that you want to go there a few times a year! A big plus from me on top of these 5 stars. Oh yes, prices are great too.
