BackWerk in Rotterdam Centrum

I’ve tried these sandwiches before and always thought they were great, but the service at this particular location was absolutely disastrous. It was honestly humiliating to deal with the staff — especially at 8:30 in the morning on a Friday, when you’re just trying to start your day. You can’t even ask a simple question because the whole process feels like some kind of ultra-fast service where you’re not allowed to take even one second to think. The staff came across as aggressive, and the woman at the counter in particular was shockingly unfriendly. I genuinely don’t know how someone with that attitude is assigned to customer service; perhaps she would be better suited to a different type of job. It was a terrible way to start the morning, and the experience left me feeling like I never want to go back there again. I truly hope no one else has to go through that. You’re honestly better off going to Albert Heijn, grabbing a coffee and a roll there — you’ll get much better service.

Placed an order via home delivery that was accepted. 17 minutes later the order was suddenly canceled without explanation. Very annoying because I now have no food and have to wait several days for a refund.

This bakery is located directly below the street, next to the entrance to the subway station. The shop is small, and the selection is very limited. Furthermore, the prices are very expensive. If you want to quickly grab a pastry to go, you're better off buying a few rolls or pastries at the nearby Albert Heijn.

Employee was stingy for a napkin…

Thinking about a quick tasty bagel with salmon, the metro will be here in 10 minutes anyway. I'll wait a really long time for the person in front of me to be helped. Two people don't help anyone. If I could give 0 stars, I would have given it my all, but I couldn't afford to miss the metro. Very customer-friendly. I thought about paying, but the metro is less than 20 meters away. Even the woman in front of me wasn't helped when I left, even though she was the only one at the checkout before me.

It's ridiculous that you have to pay extra for "plastic" when the sandwich comes in a cardboard holder! They're taking full advantage of the new plastic law.

Ate a rather mediocre sandwich, I think the avocado on it came from the freezer.

Asian woman who works here scolded 1 customer for being a Moroccan!

The sandwiches and apple turnovers are delicious. The dark lady and the Asian lady who work there are super friendly. I like coming there. Keep it up girls, you're great.

My favorite double chocolate cookie tasted bad. I always buy them from backwerk but this is the first time I bought them from this location and I was very disappointed. I won't be visiting them again.

Good food but the service is so bad that I'd rather walk an extra 15 minutes to go to the other backwerk at stadhuis. Never seen such bad service in my life. Worker rolled her eyes when my girlfriend went to pay, basically threw a bag at me for my bread. Not putting it in the paperbag I don't mind, but with that attitude... Rather go without food next time.

Mooie zaak! Lekkere broodjes en sapjes. Mijn dochter smult altijd van de chocolade broodjes en wij van de koffiebroodjes. Vriendelijk personeel. Echt een aanrader

Meegegeven voedsel was goed, vers en lekker. Personeel vond ik kortaf bij het ophalen van mijn pakket.

De koffie is goed! De broodjes en appelflap zijn heerlijk.De bediening is elke dag weer buitengewoon aardig en sympathiek. Hoop dat jullie snel weer open gaan.

Handige shop voor even iets halen bij de metro

Ruime openingstijden. En koffie voor een redelijk prijs waardoor ik er regelmatig kom voor koffie en soms een broodje erbij. Maar 4 sterren omdat er soms onvriendelijk personeel bij staat, zijn meestal vriendelijke meiden maar er zitten er ook een paar bij met een bagger humeur, zonde.

Vertouwbare kwalitijd zoals gewoonlijk bij backwerk

Nette s home kleine zaak in metro Beurs. Ruime openingstijden. Vriendelijk en net personeel. Veel lekkere broodjes te verkrijgen.

Heerlijke delicatessen. Maar het assortiment gaat 'down'. Het wordt meer een lunchroom. Beetje jammer.

Zeer verleidelijke geur van eten, kan irritant zijn.

Bagel roomkaas..pure perfectie zo lekker. Al jaren op zoek maar dit is echt de lekkerste roomkaas ooit. Dus alleen hiervoor kom ik altijd bij backwerk. Helaas wel karig belegd de laatste tijd..erg jammer als je alleen n broodje eet met nauwelikks beleg erop..

Beneden op het perron een koffie groot voor 1.50 genomen, die nog dunner dan een kopje thee was. De dame beneden ervaarde ik als vulling voor het kassa hoekje. Ik ben naar de vestiging boven gegaan met mijn klacht en hier mocht ik zonder weer woord een nieuwe koffie pakken en er werd actie ondernomen om de automaat te vullen.
