I ate a ham and cheese croissant from this bakery. A half-baked, limp roll with cheap shoulder ham (which isn't actually ham, of course). No flavor, just dough, fat, and salt. Every supermarket (even Dirk or Aldi) has better ham and cheese croissants.

I come here occasionally because I live around the corner, but I've often noticed the prices fluctuate. Sometimes I pay more for a lahmacun (Turkish pizza) than other times. Recently, I bought 5 lahmacun and suddenly they charged me €12. I thought that was strange, because I always used to pay €8.75. The guy behind the counter walked back, and I literally heard him say, "But I had to...", at which point the man (presumably the owner) cut off the conversation and suddenly charged the regular price of €8.75. It was obvious the guy had been instructed to charge more. I've also been charged a higher price before, but I was hesitant then. Now it's confirmed. Furthermore, the atmosphere is completely unfriendly. No greeting, no smile. You simply don't feel welcome as a customer. UPDATE: At the end of September 2025, I bought another bag of 5 lahmacun. Now I had to pay €10. So €2 each!

It's a real shock that the bakery is leaving Andriesplein, such a shame. I used to go there almost every week.

Just had lunch and ate delicious sandwiches. I accidentally knocked over my drink and asked for napkins. The staff came to the table with wipes to clean it, and I was allowed to get a new bottle from the refrigerator since the one I knocked over was still almost full. 10/10 service, thanks to the ladies at Bakker Bart Flora!
