Bakkerij Mevlana in Wijk 7 Rivierenwijk en Bergweide

I come here occasionally because I live around the corner, but I've often noticed the prices fluctuate. Sometimes I pay more for a lahmacun (Turkish pizza) than other times. Recently, I bought 5 lahmacun and suddenly they charged me €12. I thought that was strange, because I always used to pay €8.75. The guy behind the counter walked back, and I literally heard him say, "But I had to...", at which point the man (presumably the owner) cut off the conversation and suddenly charged the regular price of €8.75. It was obvious the guy had been instructed to charge more. I've also been charged a higher price before, but I was hesitant then. Now it's confirmed. Furthermore, the atmosphere is completely unfriendly. No greeting, no smile. You simply don't feel welcome as a customer. UPDATE: At the end of September 2025, I bought another bag of 5 lahmacun. Now I had to pay €10. So €2 each!

The food is good. And very tasty. The service and atmosphere, however, were truly scandalous. Disrespectful treatment. A condescending hello was barely provoked. No room for questions (since I like to try new things and there was a new product on display). Everything had to be done quickly, and I'd rather just keep my mouth shut. This experience has happened several times. Such a shame... a reason for me not to come back.

Delicious sandwiches, fresh bread every day, different types, also delicacies for on the go.

Turkish pizza was still good, but I got a sandwich with sausage and egg and the peel came out of the bread. I called, no apologies offered, everything was thrown away.

Excellent quality and friendly staff. Top.

Geen ervaring maar wel petje af voor de bakkersvrouw en de klant. Als ik ooit in Deventer kom ga ik daar een broodje kopen.
