I ate a ham and cheese croissant from this bakery. A half-baked, limp roll with cheap shoulder ham (which isn't actually ham, of course). No flavor, just dough, fat, and salt. Every supermarket (even Dirk or Aldi) has better ham and cheese croissants.

I like to spoil my customers and also larger clients with something tasty from the bakery and something that is just a little bit tastier or more original. I like to do my best for that and I am also willing to pay something for it. I explain to yes, well ok, the "lady" at Wessels Spoorstraat. That I have special stewed pear cake made for my customers. Something that stands out, just like myself. In a positive way. There was nothing really tasty for coffee except the standard cake or regular cake or butter cake.. butter cake, really.? I am not going to my grandma..for f sake.. Yes, the cinnamon cake and apple cake were already gone... That seemed like something to me, different and tasty. Exactly what I was looking for. I asked her if there were any competitors that she recommends. No, she didn't have any, and so she didn't. I quickly leave to get something nice somewhere else. I come across another bakery 2 kilometers further... Wtf!!! Same name on that shop... Goddammit.... I angrily go inside, I see apple and cinnamon cake from everyone else. Lady, really nice lady there, she first got the full load of crap thrown at her because I was sent packing by the oh so funny nice and oh well then I also pretend that she was still very attractive, colleague from the Spoorstraat. The lady there also said, she could have passed that on, couldn't she? Seemed handy to me, especially if you have the same name and also sell the same products. So if you want to be helped badly and really be sent away with nothing, come to Wessels Spoorstraat Deventer, you will be served. If you want to be helped neatly, nicely, quickly and helpfully, then go to Wessels Constantijn Huygenstraat 13 in Deventer. They know how it should be done. Love and passion for the profession. I went back to Spoorstraat to thank her heartily for the extra shit that I got thanks to her. She said it was a joke. Oh, and by the way, I don't know her, she doesn't help me, but she does make fun of me. What a staff!!! Wessels has been taken over by a baker from Gorssel. From day 1 it is no longer what it used to be. Loaves are smaller and almost all are hollow on the inside. According to the operating staff, this is because the bakers are not yet used to the new ovens. That goes on and on...The range has also changed. The things I have been coming to Wessels for for years are no longer there. To top it all off, this afternoon I paid €4.15 for a sliced ​​white floor with sesame. This was my last ever purchase from this store.

Gelukkig woon ik niet dichtbij deze bakker 😄. Alles wat ik koop is heerlijk en, ook heel belangrijk voor mij, eerlijk. Alles wat ze gebruiken is op plantaardige basis. De medewerkster die mij hielp was ook erg attent, ik wilde een gebakje kopen, niet wetend dat daar rum in zat, dat mag ik niet hebben. Daar attendeerde ze mij op, erg vriendelijk en aardig. Vooral de roombroodjes en krentebollen zijn favoriet bij ons. O ja, en de volkorenbrood met sesamzaadjes, yammie. De bakker van onze jeugd 👧🏻

Vriendelijk personeel en heerlijk brood ed.

Mijn favoriete bakker, de broden zijn heerlijk vers en dat proef je zeker. Een enorm verschil met bakkers waar het niet vers is. De service is uitermate vriendelijk en houden altijd wel van een gezellig gesprekje. Er is een enorme keuze uit broden dus er zit altijd wel wat lekkers bij.
