Bakker Bart Utrecht Hoog Catharijne in Wijk 06 Binnenstad

Ordered a panini here for the second time, but again it was a huge disappointment. It was heated up in the microwave again and there was very little filling on it. I won't be coming back here. So different from the branch on Bakkerstraat, but that one has been closed for months.

Nice place for a coffee and cake while shopping. Nothing special, but good overall.

Was very awkward eating in today when a male staff member (maybe manager) went and interrupted a young couple enjoying their lunch and accused them loudly in front of everyone of stealing bread and then demanded to check his bag. After finding nothing in the gentleman’s bag he then accused the wife even though her purse was so small nothing could be put it in there, all the while the staff member was speaking to someone on the phone who was relaying this information to him from watching the cameras..The staff member repeatedly said I’ll call the police to the customers who were very happy for them to come. This staff member was so rude in his approach and was smirking. In the end it appears the perrson who checked the cameras got it wrong and no one stole anything… yet the manager did not apologise or offer any explanation. The customers who appeared extremely embarrassed quickly left and only the femelae staff member behind the counter apologised as the customers were leaving. As an onlooker it was very embarrassing to watch for these customers and I think the manager may need help improving his approach in these situations.

I notice that the filet american and tuna sandwiches contain more lettuce than meat and fish. You can't even taste the tuna. Just a lot of lettuce stalks. Yuck.

Staff have no time or interest in a chat, or are usually grumpy. High prices and poor quality products. Go to a real bakery instead.

The Caesar salad was served in a small bowl, also without Parmesan cheese, even though it was supposed to be included. When I asked about this, some grated cheese was sprinkled over it. I have eaten at Bakker Bart often, and there you really get a large plate, which is truly worth the money.

Always have a nice coffee and snack. So affordable and tasty.

Nice spot in Hoog Catharijne for a quick bite to eat or drink. The sandwiches are fresh and there is plenty of choice for a quick lunch. The staff are friendly and efficient, even when it is a bit busy. Additionally, it is a good place to get a cup of coffee. A great spot for a short break while shopping ☕🥪.

Friendly service - acceptable food. The store's cleanliness could be better, and if you see the inside of the grill oven, you say, "Don't heat it up." It hasn't been properly cleaned in years.

I really don't understand the negative reviews. I think this Bakker Bart branch is great. The blonde woman who helped me this morning (Saturday) was super friendly. Because of that great service, I'm already looking forward to going back tomorrow before work.

This Bakker Bart branch in Hoog Catharijne is great. It is a nice place to sit. The food and drinks are tasty and the service is excellent. Friendly salespeople! Better than the branch in the city center.

Nice Bakker Bart, and it's great that there are halal snacks. Hopefully, there will be more of them. However, it made me doubt when the employee said that all the pastries were gelatin-free. That is strange, because the pastries are prepared in the same way and the assortment definitely includes gelatin pastries. So, they must contain gelatin here too, or is the owner Muslim?

Raw chicken!! With the pulled chicken panini. I pointed it out to a woman the first time, and she acted like it wasn't possible. Then I went back immediately, because it really was raw chicken. I had already eaten half of it; the nice man did give me my money back afterwards. But never again for me, it's just unacceptable.

Strange that I was not allowed to drink my fruit shake there at 5:30 pm on Wednesday 25-6 while the staff had 2 empty tables and were happily on the phone. I was very sad about my purchased food, I would like to talk to the manager about this how this is possible. Other Bakker Bart branches are much friendlier, never experienced this before, to do nothing so difficult and customer unfriendly. Because they wanted to be on the phone and I, as a customer and future mystery shopper, was not allowed to see that?

Hygiene was very disappointing, ingredients all mixed up. Carpaccio sandwich was inedible. Not recommended!

Had a bite here. Since I have problems with my teeth, there was no soft bun to be had. Hygiene was also hard to find. Dirty floor and all empty tables not yet cleaned.. I had a sausage roll but there was no crunch or taste to it. No, give me that at WC Overvecht. I like to go there.

You order an Italian panini via home delivery because that option is available at this location, what do you get? A shoe sole has become completely bandaged/blackened and the salami is so hard that you can break it off. Then you would think maybe it is busy? Can happen? But then you call and hear that I should file a complaint via Thuisbezorgd and I will get my money. End of conversation. This branch is less than 500 meters from my home, a simple apology and, for example, the option for a new panini would have solved the problem. But now nothing less than wasted money and a disappointed child. Not recommended.

The prices screen shows €2.90 for cappuccino. Then pay €3.35. I understand paying €0.10 for the plastic cup. But why is to-go more expensive than what is shown on the price list?

As a fan of Bakker Bart, I am very shocked by this location. Order 2 sandwiches and 2 cappuccinos. A shouted shout through the shop indicated that our order was ready. On a tray that was much too small, there was 1 saucer with a cup of cappuccino, a separate cup of cappuccino without a saucer or spoon, there were 2 napkins half on top of each other and the sandwiches on top. One topped with a wet mess that was supposed to represent tuna, the other an omelet with that wet mess over it. The staff was not surprised and thought it was normal to give it that way. Bad is really putting it mildly. Never again this more than bad BB!

Today Catharijne had a sandwich and cappuccino. There was far too little of the egg salad sandwich. When I went back, I added some more. This is the worst Bakker Bart I have encountered in the Netherlands. I will never come back here. No service at all, and you have to ask for a napkin. They are not ready as standard. Dirty tables that we first cleaned ourselves.

Unsanitary! They work without gloves and it's ridiculously dirty! I got food poisoning! I ordered iced coffee with my girlfriend and afterwards I felt completely nauseous and puked. Me and my girlfriend had problems with this. I also got a sandwich and it was ridiculously disgusting. Bakker Bart did not expect this from you.

Not customer friendly staff at all, sandwiches were just barely thrown on the counter, sausage rolls were not tasty either. everything fell out of the tuna sandwich so we might as well have made it ourselves.

I bought six pieces of cake yesterday. When I got home, I got an unpleasant surprise. The cake was very dry😬. This means that the cake is not fresh, and that it was baked a few days ago. As for the taste and texture, it has nothing to do with the name. It's a really bad experience. I will not buy from that bakery again.

Not at all what a baker Bart should be. Rather a bad infusion. Assortment smaller and not what you would normally expect from a baker Bart. Then you send an email after requesting the message below..... and then you don't hear anything anymore...

They always forget something. In the past 3 orders, I kept forgetting the sauce on the healthy sandwich. Twice via Thuisbezorgd, once via the restaurant. Baker is a big fan of Catharijn, the worst baker out there. You order a carpaccio sandwich with everything you need. And you get. No pine nuts. And the cheese is just ah grated cheese Then you order an apple cinnamon muffin. And then you get a blueberry muffin. Then you try to call them and they disconnect the line. It's not the first time things have gone wrong. Ordered a large bottle of smoothie last time. The delivery person didn't come with a bottle of smoothie. Then you call. Yes, no, we didn't have that anymore. And all around excuses. I won't order from here again

Had a tuna salad sandwich, but I could barely taste it! Much too little!! Bad value for money, I will never come back here again!

'Croissants' just look like white dots, also in terms of taste. Hard rolls tasteless and dry. They have better bread at the supermarkets around the corner. Even the pre-baked rolls from the supermarkets are much better. Far below par for a 'bakery' and far too expensive for what it is. First time we came to this bakery Bart, even though we live around the corner, and we will certainly not come back.

Bakker Bart has to uphold his name. Food is fine, but do something about your staff! What a bunch of grumpy girls, customer unfriendly and don't understand what a customer expects. 1 star for me!

The food is fine, only one staff member walks around shouting! Not normal. I was waiting for my sandwich and just 1 meter away from me I shouted loudly that my sandwich was ready. That it looked just like a fish stall. Otherwise you would get 4 stars, but the way she interacts during work makes it quite an uncomfortable thing to take a quiet break.

Why does it always stink when you walk past this? Same smell as when you open a pack of multigrain crackers that are 3 years out of date. Smells like old grease. Fresh bread smells good, Bakker Bart doesn't. I'll pass.

Bakker Bart's baguette was a bit harder and firmer compared to the baguettes in our area at Baker Bart's. Quickly helped, friendly employees.

Nowadays, for 6.25 euros you get a very meager sandwich of bland (non-spicy!) chicken with minimal dressing and a few leaves of lettuce. Poor price-quality ratio.

TOO EXPENSIVE SANDWICH WITH BROWN WITHLOT LETTUCE!!!!!!I just ordered a small soft white bun with 1 boiled egg, 6 slices of cucumber and brown wilted lettuce and with difficulty 1 small slice of salmon for 4.75. The employee told me that you pay 0.70 cents for the sandwich and 4 euros and 05 cents for 1 egg, 6 thin slices of cucumber, well past the date. I don't include salmon because I got this from the girl who also thought inside that the amount was absurd and came to meet me with a very small slice of salmon. Her cheeks were red with embarrassment and the child probably didn't know any better. A plus is that my hunger was gone and I spit out the lettuce.

If your name is BAKER bart, and you can't even bake the rolls, what's the point of this shop? I have seriously rarely eaten such dry, dirty and hard rolls. Even 'raw' baked rolls taste even better. If I ever go to build a wall, I will go here to get sandwiches when I run out of bricks!
