White roll with pulled chicken and gypsy sauce. First of all, it was very salty, the sauce was more like smoked BBQ sauce, and the roll was very dry. It took 25 minutes. I expected more from the baker.

We've been there three times now and we really like it. The service is fast and friendly, the prices are reasonable, and the products are fresh and delicious.

This morning around 11:00 a.m. I had to wait a bit, but it was wonderful. I sat on the patio. A friendly young man helped me. Later, a woman also came, a very friendly employee. Nice music on the patio. They have a variety of customers. - Reasonable prices. - The coffee was delicious. - The interior looked pleasant as well. I'm from the city center myself. I've seen that now. I'll definitely come here just to escape the hustle and bustle of the city center. And I'll definitely stop by if I need to be at the nearby health center. I visited this location twice on different occasions and unfortunately had the same experience both times. The team lead, an older woman, came across as grumpy, unfriendly, and rushed. Even though there was nobody present, it took 10 minutes to prepare one sandwich with 3 staff members. On top that, they did not have a decaf that I wanted. When I politely asked if she was having a bad day, she mentioned she had a cold — which is concerning given that she’s handling food. I also shared with her that I had a similar experience during my first visit. Although she apologized, the overall attitude and atmosphere were disappointing. She mentioned that she is open to feedback and ways to improve, but considering similar Google reviews of one year ago, I doubt she is willing to change. I recommend that the owners review the management and customer service at this location, as this behavior does not reflect well on the business.

Delicious rolls for takeout. I do think it's a shame there aren't prices listed for the whole loaves. Why not be transparent? That gives me the impression they're very expensive. So I didn't buy the loaves, and indeed, I didn't ask about the price.

Today I had a rather unusual experience at this restaurant. I had asked beforehand if I could get a smoothie to go, and I was allowed to, but then I had to order it on the other side, which I did. After ordering, an older employee came over to ask what I wanted to order and told me that a colleague had already taken the order. Shortly after, I indicated I needed to pee, after which I was told (and here comes the ridiculous part): that this was only for people who had ordered inside and were going to sit there to eat or drink. After that, I was given the rather stupid analogy that it was no different in a supermarket, even though a supermarket isn't a restaurant. So I had to use the public restroom, which later turned out to be broken. In other words, it apparently doesn't matter how much you order on the takeaway side, because even if you order a cup of coffee while sitting in the seating area, you're still allowed to use the restroom. The level of thinking of some people is truly appalling and the service is just as...

I came for coffee bread and pizza for my kids. My toddler wanted to the bathroom so I kindly asked the key to use the bathroom inside the cafe, the stuff and owner responded that I must find the bathroom outside. Even though they have their WC for the customers. I could never understand this level of greediness. For sure this attitude will return back, but wow.. why do you want to offer services to the people if you are rude and greedy?

Asked for black coffee and a croissant. Got cappuccino. Asked for coffee again. Got sugar poured into the coffee. Priced are okay though.

Not all the staff are like that, but there is someone working there who barely greets or doesn't greet you and looks at you angrily.

I used to come more often because I worked close to it. What I do get every year are oliebollen. Delicious hot, but also cold. And also 2 days later.

Sorry, but unfortunately I cannot be positive about my first visit today. The lady who took my order didn't seem to be interested in it and didn't look at me. My order: 2 carpaccio sandwiches. Since I met someone I knew, I was chatting quietly while waiting for my order. When I got home and was excited for the sandwiches, I unfortunately discovered that few sandwiches were topped with still frozen carpaccio! Too bad. Put it away and ate something else. An hour later I could still eat. Unfortunately, after about 4-5 hours there will be a lot of rumbling in the stomach and the rest will be spared... Too bad and not to be repeated for a lunch sandwich

Just got a sandwich during my lunch break. It takes a damn fifteen minutes before I get my sandwich. The lady who helped me was very unfriendly, immediately turned her back to me and communicated from 3 meters away, possibly 4 meters away. Never come here again.

I have been coming here with my family an average of 3 to 4 times a month for over 3 years to buy a sandwich and something to drink. Today my girlfriend was refused the toilet because this time we ordered food at the takeaway counter. After some insistence (after all, we were just paying customers) with a lot of sighing and groaning, it was allowed, but certainly not willingly. The friendliness was also immediately gone. Thank you very much for this 'hospitality' to a paying and regular customer. We will never come back here again!

The bread is fine. 4 stars for that. 3 stars are being deducted due to selling other food items that are too old. The oliebollen looked like they were two days old. Shame.

I went there today to meet a friend who had already ordered a sandwich and coffee. I came and just sat for less than a minute and staff told me to order. I told her to give me few minutes to decide. But she very rudely said that I can not sit if I don't order now. I felt so bad because she did not even give the time to order. I would never recommend this place to anyone. The staff was extremely rude.

Awful service and don’t recommend anyone to go there.I was carrying my cup with the medicine. The rude woman with an attitude said I can’t drink from my cup. The food was below normal either.the visit there ,spoiled the mood for me and my husband.Never again!

AWFUL, UNFRIENDLY, RUDE STAFF AND COSTUMER SERVICE. Once the staff told me to leave because she didn’t let me have the panini I got “from them” on their tables and chairs while almost all of them were free. I came back few minutes after I left and asked her politely “can I make a comment about your costumer service?” She said “NO”, I was surprised because I’ve never seen such a rude staff that I said “no?” But she repeated herself, so I just left. Another time they came got my order. 5min after they brought the coffee, the waitress said we’re closing I need to take this. While I had only 2 sips from it and when I told her that it just arrived she didn’t care and took the coffee. She could tell me they’re gonna close soon, or not take my order at that time. But I would never go back there again and would DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND. There are much better, more friendly places in town.

This used to be a nice place for lunch. The last two experiences were really bad. The bread was awful and wet.

The sandwiches, croissants and stollen for Christmas breakfast were delicious.

After shopping you can come here for a delicious sandwich 🥐 at the brasserie, but of course also for a good cup of coffee or a nice tea. (At the Hammarskjöldhof in the Nova shopping center) There is also a take away and of course the bakery where you can get delicious bread 🥖 🍞🥐🥨 or a delicious pastry 🍰.

Service never really friendly and savory sandwiches always taste as if they were from the previous day... You expect more from a baker.

A warm welcome today. The staff is enthusiastic and super friendly. The food is very good for an affordable price. It is also nice that the toilets have a key, so you will probably find a clean toilet that is not just walked in and out. I would definitely come back here again as the list certainly had many other yummy options to try!

What a surprisingly nice location. With an extensive menu, something for everyone. Decent prices that suit almost every budget. Delicious coffee too! The owners are also so hospitable and really make you feel welcome.

Well, what a customer-unfriendly man. Asked if I could use the toilet, because the toilet upstairs did not open. I wasn't sitting on the terrace so no. I am or rather WAS a customer of the bakery. It's an unfriendly grump...

We were driving in front of a 'Brood by alex' van, and though we couldn't do anything differently, the driver on 2 occasions was extremely rude loudly and repeating his horn. Not sure what bread emergency he was going to, but I am not going to run down a cyclist or drive into the car in front of me because he won't turn right. Rude.

What mean people work there, if you arrive heavily pregnant you are not even allowed to go to the toilet for a fee, they do not want to change for the public toilet of the shopping center itself. And this was Alex's restaurant, I walk to Alex's bakery across the street and they again don't want to exchange money, even if I offer them 50 cents if I can just get 20 cents, still no. It's not worth even looking at how ugly people there are, yuck

Got a sugar roll last week, it was very dry. Unfortunately, the bread also gets old quickly.

It had not yet been pronounced or the bread was already in the cutting machine, while I like to take it with me unsliced. The warm bread was then placed in a sealed bag, so that you came home with a soggy sandwich.

Now that the new brasserie is open, we can finally have a delicious lunch again. And it is not expensive and there is plenty of choice on the menu.

The sandwiches are tasty and good pastries. It's just a shame that the staff works so much without gloves and other hygiene measures. Today again a lady touched her face and then my sandwich. Didn't take that sandwich, went somewhere else. Shame.

It doesn’t even deserve one star ⭐️ I got the worst pizza in my life! It was hard as rock and it was molting…. This place should NOT be ALLOWED to sell food… I had stomach pain after eating there. Also the staff was very unfriendly.

I went twice in the shop as soon they open in the morning and they give me old, very unpleasant and dry croissant.

Dirty and not fresh. Employees at the cash register have dirty fake nails and are not friendly at all.

Egg salad sandwich was more like a sandwich "egg leftovers" had been scraped from a container.

Very disappointing. Incompetent and grumpy staff! You are not helped in a friendly manner and you are considered a burden. I will never get my panini sandwich at Alex's again. Tip: above all, love your profession or look for another job.

Bread is good, fresh sandwiches are bad

Check the bread you buy carefully. I bought a bag of buns, the next day I wanted to eat them, but they were already moldy. I wouldn't be surprised if they already have They were moldy when I bought them. I hope they don't treat the other breads the same way.

How incredibly dirty.... Last Saturday I stood in front of the counter with my friend looking at the menu...a woman helped us. And the lady behind the counter grabs everything with her bare hands and puts it on the sandwich in between not washing her hands... bah bah... And now it comes, that lady also had one of those fake nails, so who knows what kind of junk was/is under those nails... We ran away because we suddenly had no appetite anymore.

The knowledge seems to have disappeared somewhat. Had nothing to complain about until recently. Unfortunately today. It started with a salmon sandwich with dill sauce. I had to ask for the latter. Yoghurt dressing was then put on it. Indicated that I like that too, but that it is very different from dill sauce. According to the saleswoman, they always do this... Strange, I order this more often and always get dill sauce. Then I also choose a tuna sandwich. Back at the office... Everything but no tuna on the sandwich. Huge shame. There's nothing wrong with making mistakes. But if you don't know it very well yet, follow a recipe and don't pretend that you know it all already. I'll get my sandwiches from the other bakeries again...

Nice concept: always fresh bread. What is needed is baked throughout the day, so it is (almost) never sold out. Nice to get a fresh loaf of bread at lunch.

Tasty sandwiches, but the delivery person is often late and an order is sometimes forgotten.

This joint bakes sourdough (the soft Dutch kind) everyday and you can assuredly pick up a fresh one in the morning. They do lot of other baked goods like croissants. But do note that you'll be paying a premium out of your wallet (compared to the 2 supermarkets nextdoor).

You have to wait a while for Domburger, but it is highly recommended.
