I should have trusted the reviews already posted, but I still wanted to give it a try. The cake was poorly packaged and therefore damaged on the sides. I had the swirly cake, and the website said I had to select the darkest color I wanted, and then the cake would be filled with two lighter shades of that color. That's not very visible on the cake.

The cakes are beautiful and delicious! I've been ordering from them for a couple of years now, and they always deliver on time and as promised. My only complaint is that they don't answer the phone, WhatsApp messages, or emails. I tried to cancel an order, but there was no way to get in touch with them.

Ordered 24pcs mini cupcakes, totally disappointed when i received it, completely different from the picture shown on the website, i understand there maybe little different decorations, but it’s a BIG different. And it costs 40 euros for this cheap looking quality…Will never buy cakes from here.

I regret not reading the reviews on Trustpilot first. Worthless, I'll never order from here again. I ordered three boxes of cupcakes, one of which was supposed to be gluten-free. The box didn't indicate which one was supposed to be gluten-free. I called four times, but no one answered. I tried WhatsApp; two hours later, I got a standard message that didn't answer my question. I emailed, but they also replied too late, telling me to check the box. My colleagues with gluten allergies missed out during our Halloween party. Furthermore, they stick the cupcakes to the bottom of the box, so when you pick one up, it's mush because it sticks to the bottom. Worthless. I also received complaints from several colleagues that the frosting on the cupcakes wasn't good, maybe even spoiled or something. What I also find a bit strange is that I ordered from this website and received the invoice from a different company: Tartaa. I have no idea how that works. Vague.

Don't order from here!!! The cake was poorly finished and looked nothing like the picture. There were cracks in the cake, and the bites were missing. It was truly awful. I also received an ugly topper, not the one pictured. But the worst part is that this company is completely unresponsive... not to emails, not to WhatsApp, not to DMs, and not to comments on Instagram... do yourself a favor and get your cake somewhere else; there are so many better companies out there!

I've paid ~5 euros for birthday toppings and ~5 euros for a note on top of the cake. Problem? None of them was provided. No birthday toppings in the box we received and no note was written on top of the cake

The unprofessional customer service gave me a bad feeling about this company. For 85 euros you can expect a top cake with professional customer service right? First of all, the cake was delivered too late because it was accidentally placed in the wrong time slot (9:00-13:00) according to the first employee on the phone, while it was very important to me that it had to be delivered before 11:00. I also checked this when ordering because we would not be home after that. I then emailed them and asked for a reasonable compensation, but a second employee then claimed that it was due to "force majeure" from the driver, while he did his job well because he followed the instructions of the company that he had to arrive before 13:00. This means that the cake was 2 hours late and unfortunately my neighbor had to accept it and I was not able to enjoy the cake on my birthday. After 10 times of emailing back and forth with the company, I only received a minimal compensation of 5 euros because the cake was not delivered on time according to the desired time slot. I told them that I would not have ordered the cake if I had known that it would not be delivered at the crucial time on that day and also without a balloon (which they also later informed me on the day after delivery that it was not available). They should have actually just called to ask if I still wanted to continue with the order if the cake would arrive 2 hours later than planned and without a balloon. The only excuse that the second employee could give is "powerlessness" which does not match the story at all because there was no traffic accident nor weather conditions or anything like that but a carelessness that they put the cake in the wrong time slot. After another 10 times of emailing back and forth, the employee still does not want to admit that they were wrong. Then she tried to convince me that I cannot get compensation for the cake if the cake has already been used. I then emailed back that it was not used and wanted to return everything with candles. I did not receive a response to this and I got a long story back of "powerlessness" and credit of 5 Euro as compensation for the entire order that was late, came without a balloon and was ultimately not used.

I've been ordering a birthday cake for several years now, and I'm already looking forward to ordering again soon! Always on time, the order is correct, and of course, most importantly, DELICIOUS!! I used to come to the store when you were still in town, but for my frame, it's probably better that I can't anymore!

I placed an online order for a gluten-free Halloween-themed chocolate cake. The cake looks beautiful – congratulations! However, this is not the chocolate cake I ordered. They are impossible to reach by phone, don't respond via WhatsApp, and logically, they won't reply to my email in a timely manner either. As a result, I can't confirm whether the cake is actually gluten-free. After all, there's a note with the cake saying "chocolate gluten-free," even though it's clearly not a chocolate cake. For the €80 cost of a cake, I should at least have received the correct product. Since I can't use the cake tomorrow, as I have no guarantee that it's gluten-free (my daughter has celiac disease), the cake will go straight in the bin. I expect a refund.

DO NOT ORDER HERE!! I received a cake with large cracks/tears on all sides, one of which I had already "smoothed out" (see photo). And this is the ridiculous response I got when I asked for a refund. Who would rub their fingers on a cake? After that, I received no response. And the "spatula" that was "provided" wasn't even included, which should already raise questions. The cake is definitely from the freezer. This is the first and last time I'll order from here.

I'll start off right, that's the only good thing about what we received! The design looks great. But which bakers do you employ?! Not professionals anyway, but amateurs! The cake is dry, the taste is 0, crackling in your mouth from the sugar because everything is pure sugar... even the whipped cream, which shouldn't be. Couple of stray cherries must be the filler??

Not true: only vanilla cake and vanilla cream. Dry and boring. The decorations were inedible; stroopwafels and fudges were rock hard. Don't eat cupcake. I'm ashamed that I served my guests. When I reached out to express my concerns, their response was purely defensive, justifying their choices rather than addressing the issue—so much for customer service. For reference, the inspiration was a cake with red hearts, and I requested a change of colors. What I received had green lettering, which was not what I expected. Judge for yourselves. We ordered the vegan peanut butter cake. The taste was decent, but considering the price (quite expensive! - above 50€) - the lack of professionalism, there are definitely better options in the Netherlands…

Bad company with bad customer service. You must be at home for delivery because the delivery person is not allowed to leave the package behind. Not even with the neighbors. But they don't tell you that on the product page or when ordering. My 7 year old daughter didn't have a cake on her birthday, which I thought was very bad. Customer service then shows no empathy at all. First no compensation, then 10 euros on a subsequent order for a cake that cost 75,- including delivery. My email with substantiation and request to take responsibility was not even responded to.

It's empty inside, the cream is very bad, and the cake is not good. The 5 Euro ready-made supermarket cakes are better than this.

Ordered Oreo/Nutella cake with helium balloon. The amount was €85 for a cake for 8 people (what a lot of money for this mess!) The cake arrived damaged, no helium in the small crumpled balloon. The biggest drama was the cake: it was inedible. No taste of Oreo, Nutella or cake whatsoever, just a nasty sugar taste with some weird substance that is supposed to be cake. It looked like chemical. Everyone spit out the bite they took and the cake ended up in the trash. The response was that the balloon could be reimbursed. Of course, this doesn't make up for the disappointment of a birthday child! READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE YOU ORDER ANYTHING HERE! I wish I had done that too.

My wife ordered cupcakes and of the 12 cupcakes, 8 were completely wrong. They all contained apple cinnamon flavor instead of plain vanilla as we ordered and were very hard. Not to eat. The I Love Cupcakes website is clear and user-friendly. The ordering process went smoothly; I ordered a cake on Monday to pick it up on Friday, and that went without any problems. With 14 people we found the cake quite boring and dry, with no real flavour, which is surprising for a chocolate cake. The cake looked beautiful, but the taste was very disappointing. Dear people, don't buy anything here! Unfortunately very bad experience; A friendly couple had ordered a wedding cake here which would be delivered on their wedding day. The cake never arrived and on the day itself the company was unreachable by phone, app and email. With further research we also discovered that the photo of the shop you see is a photo of a different, English bakery. Has nothing to do with this company (other than the matching name). This company is located on an industrial building, just search for the address. Is not a store. Company did not offer an apology or any form of compensation a week after the wedding. How can you have the heart to act like that? Fortunately, there are still plenty of bakeries with compassionate, committed people, please order there, and not from this shady place.

Ordered the unicorn cake in September for my daughter with a cow's milk allergy. The description stated that a set with horn, ears and eyes would be included for you to put on yourself at home. The set was not included, there is simply no response via WhatsApp or email. The taste was also nothing to write home about, we expected the cake itself not to be that great because it was a vegan cake, but the filling had no taste at all. A stray berry here and there. The only positive is the delivery, but that plus is for the courier service and not for this worthless business.

Throughout the day, I made multiple attempts to contact the company via phone and messages when I noticed the delay, but received no response. I even tried contacting the delivery service directly, to no avail. Despite my best efforts to resolve the issue, I was left without the product I paid for when it mattered most. When I later reached out for a full refund, the company refused, offering only a replacement box of cupcakes at another time. This did not address the inconvenience and disappointment caused by their failure to meet the agreed delivery time. If you are looking for reliable, timely delivery for an important event, I would think twice before ordering from this company. Their customer service response to this issue was unsatisfactory, and they failed to acknowledge the impact their delay had on a special occasion.

The delivery guy left them with a neighbor without any information! No contact with the delivery guy. The company phone is always off. I regret not reading the comments about this company first. The cake came on time but it was very dry and tasteless, with too much buttercream which was also tasteless. It was like eating nothing but air. So the next day the party was complete with a beautiful and delicious cake. The pink sparkle cake was lilac with Oreo filling, completely according to our daughter's wishes. Ordered a large amount of cake and cupcakes for my son's birthday. His YouTube logo should have been on the cupcakes and a Fortnite picture on the cake. They used the Fortnite image on both. The filling and flavor I had chosen were also wrong. The taste of the cake was disastrous, it smelled and tasted like fish. I looked up how this is possible and it may have to do with the quality of the eggs. The cupcakes were also not tasty, they were very dry and no one liked the cream on them because it tasted so greasy and heavy. Not how it's supposed to taste anyway. I have already contacted them by telephone and email to find out why the quality is so low for what I paid (100+ euros) and what the solution is. I have not received a response and it is now weeks later and I have had 0 response. Delicious vegan cakes that everyone will like! Wide range of choices and fast service. Every year the cake is the highlight of the birthday! It's nice that there is also a wide selection for children (with special diets).

The service is great and the cakes/pastries even better! I ended up here through a friend and needed a cake quite last minute. The range is wide and my order was delivered the next day. Everything was on time and the taste was delicious.

I ordered a custom unicorn cake for my daughter’s birthday. With many different allergies within the party guests I was nervous about if I could find a cake that would accommodate everyone and taste and look appealing to a 3 year old. We had a great day with no allergy break outs and the cake went down a treat with the party guests.

Ordered a cake for my son's birthday and it was simply not delivered. It is not possible to contact the company. They don't answer the phone, don't respond to WhatsApp and email.

The 2 cakes I ordered were delivered beautifully and neatly! The cakes were smaller than expected! but luckily I still had a large chocolate cake that became my birthday cake! The cakes tasted too much like butter and the cake was dry on the inside, but it looks beautiful in the photos! so used for that. Unfortunately not much of it was eaten! I also thought it would be a shame to throw it away, so I gave it away to neighbors who were happy with it!

What a scam! Unreachable by telephone and email. Ordered a cake for my mother's birthday, but unfortunately the cake was not delivered. Been home all day and waited for it, but in vain. And no one could be reached. Final score: having to celebrate the birthday without a cake. You pay €70 for that. Who works with PostNL for the delivery of fresh products? Judging from reading the reviews, this has happened to you many times before. The experience is well ruined, not to mention the terrible customer service here. Your solution? No cake and no money back. You should be ashamed. It would be to your credit if you acted in a solution-oriented manner. The many bad reviews you have received says it all. Reported fraudulent practices to the police - I would advise anyone else to do the same.

Great service! I sent a photo of a sample cake and got exactly what I wanted. The retro cake! Good communication with Nikki and the cake was delivered within the agreed time. Very happy with it! Would definitely order from here again and recommend it!

Still a bit hesitant after all the reviews. Ordered a gluten-free cake for our parents' 50th wedding anniversary. Cake arrived safely and beautifully. No one had any problems after eating, so gluten-free was also fine. Big enough for 11 people. To be repeated!

Order placed. Didn't receive what I ordered. And that on my daughter's birthday. And for 70 euros. Very disappointing. Never order again... In addition, this must be a cake for 16 people. It is exactly the same size as the cake, which is only smaller and costs half as much. Update: a day before the birthday, try to get in touch in any way possible to get it resolved. But no response. A week later I received a response but no willingness to recognize the error or work towards a solution. Unfortunately for us, but a warning for the next one.

Ordered cupcakes and a mini heart-shaped cake as a surprise for a wedding. Was delivered on time, received track and trace with time in advance and was also delivered between those times. Cake and cupcakes were really well received and even though they had to go on the boat to Vlieland and had some travel behind them, they kept their shape very well. Really happy with them and they were beautiful. Would definitely order here again!
