Horrible experience here, ordering went smoothly, no problem. I ordered a chicken and bacon sandwich without tomato, but with truffle sauce. My sandwich came with tomato on it. My friend returned it, and they simply removed the tomato from the sandwich. This is completely unacceptable if someone is allergic to it. As a result, there was little to no sauce left on the sandwich, which you also pay extra for. The employee kept smearing her hands on her clothes, which doesn't seem very hygienic to me.

The cake is placed on the plate by hand, and if you mention this to the staff, they become quite aggressive. Not recommended.

Good for eating a sandwich and always ready quickly

Great sandwich, and the ordering process with the post is easy, so despite the crowds, you get your order quickly. It's not very atmospheric, more of a takeaway option. But it's fine.

The appeltaart and the sandwhiches are very good. The puff pastries not so much. The cappuccino tasted off. The coffee felt burned and the milk bitter. Ordering on the automatic kiosks can be slow because they prioritize orders made at the register.

Today the woman working in service was extremely rude. When I calmly mentioned that the cake I ordered did not taste right, she immediately became angry and defensive toward us as customers. That behavior is not acceptable in hospitality and needs to be addressed. The product is one thing — but respectful customer service is non-negotiable.

Please skip this place and walk a few hundred meters further for a sandwich. The management and staff are very unfriendly and seem incapable of acting properly. Orders are made incorrectly. The products are tough. The hygiene is absolutely terrible. The restrooms are simply disgusting and require payment. 0 stars

Unfortunately, the move to the corner location brought few benefits and many drawbacks. Few of the staff possess any knowledge or expertise. The obvious goal: to get through as many customers as possible in the shortest possible time. Few offerings and too little space. Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio is no longer right for us. What a pity...

Very nice. Coffee & croissant very good. 1st visit: A very nice and friendly young woman served me attentively. 2nd visit: A young man served me, more interested in his phone and touching EVERYTHING without gloves. Therefore, only 3 *. But I'll try it again.

This place has gotten so bad! They don't know how to make the sandwiches anymore, and the cash register system doesn't work at all. Next time, I'll go to Bufkes or Bredz, where it's usually fine. One star because I can't give them a zero.

The food is okay. But everything is dirty. The restrooms are the worst, even though you have to pay 0.70 cents for them.

Placed an order less than 15 minutes ago and the food is already here, so that's great! The delivery person rang our doorbell and he was already cycling on the roundabout when I was just at the door. The food was in front of the door and was not manned. At the roundabout he looked back and I waved because this is of course not the intention. We live on a busy street where people walk by every now and then. You can't leave if people are not at the door yet + it is nicer to deliver it personally because that is what you pay for after all.

My daughter was called a dirty bitch today for no reason. Our sandwich was placed on a dishcloth, we indicated that we did not want that sandwich anymore. Really very rude staff. Never experienced anything like this before.

What I have seen and experienced here today is something I have never experienced anywhere before. I ordered a chicken bacon sandwich and indicated that I did not want tomato on it. This is also stated on my receipt. I get a rash from tomatoes. When I'm waiting for my own sandwich I see the girl who makes the sandwiches making a filet americain sandwich. This was a mistake, it was supposed to be a sandwich with pesto. The filet americain is scraped off. Of course there is quite a bit left behind. A thick layer of pesto is spread over this so that it is no longer visible... I thought this was really strange. And also quite dirty actually. When I received my own sandwich there were tomatoes on the sandwich. I immediately stated that I asked for the tomatoes to be removed when placing my order, and I received a result from this. No problem. The employee took the sandwich back, opened it and took off half the tomatoes and left the other half on it. I removed 3 pieces of tomato from the sandwich while eating. I think the quality of the sandwiches is handled very poorly. If someone is allergic to something, the staff doesn't seem to care at all. I think this is really bad, not to mention the filet americain pesto story. I really don't think this is normal. The toilet also costs €0.70, whether you eat something here or not, you always have to pay for this. And then it is also very dirty!

Well, if you're hungry, you can eat something here. But that's about it. The sandwiches don't have much flavor and the cappuccino takes some getting used to. The staff doesn't seem stressed at all😉. You have to bring some time. The food looks much tastier in the pictures than it actually tastes.

Hello everyone 😄 I just come from this place and now the aftertaste is so negative that I thought I'd tell you a little about it. I ordered 2 sandwiches. Butter, extra eggs and ham, cucumber and cheese. The seller didn't spread butter on it, and I brought this up to him as a comment, so he unwrapped the sandwich, cut it in half, took off the salad, while holding it in his hand, while with his other hand he put a large spoonful of butter on the half-soaked bread. I tried to indicate to him that this was not nice for me, since I paid for a new sandwich, not for an old one that was taken apart and put back together again. Also, if you messed up the order, it shouldn't go to my pocket, or to my food quality, we respect each other's time. The seller was very helpful all the way through, I will never buy from them again, and if you want a fresh sandwich, neither should you. I hope I was able to help 🙏

Hygiene is the wrong word 😃. Cutting tomatoes without gloves. They are worn when putting away bottles. After all the tables have been cleaned with a rag, you sort the rolls without washing your hands. Of course, cell phones are available everywhere and are also used frequently during work. But as we all know, dirt cleans your stomach. The coffee tastes excellent and that alone gets three points. The rest could be questioned. Well, you can't necessarily taste cleanliness 😜

Very poor hygiene, the reviews always reply that it is being looked into, but what kind of dirty toilets did I find yesterday, poop on the toilet seat, and the floors, walls full of dirt, no, I will never come here more, because I can now also imagine what the kitchen looks like.

Bakker Bart is a chain where you have certain expectations. We came in on a Saturday afternoon for sandwiches. The sandwiches looked very amateurish and were not what you expect at Bart. The tables and the area where the sandwiches were made looked very messy and dirty. If you looked more closely at dirty waste, it was just filthy. Visiting the toilet was a big letdown. Dirty, broken and especially GORDY. It is even cleaner at an airport. Hope that management will improve this. No baker Bart for us for the time being. more and especially not the one in Venlo on the Lomstraat. Disappointing 😣

We went for a lunch; the restaurant is located in the center of Venlo, it is large, with several tables inside. They have a variety of sandwiches and pastries. The service isn't great; the staff is not very professional or polite. The prices are okay. The sandwiches were nothing special, the coffee was normal. The door of the men's toilet was broken and there was no light. The toilet seat was completely covered in poop. I don't think we will go back, there are better places.

Food was ok (pitty kip). The waitress seemed bored and the preparation took quite a long time. The seating area was dirty. I have no idea whether anyone even wiped down the tables that day. Things didn't look much better behind the counter. In addition, the floor behind the counter was extremely dirty and there were old rags on the floor and everything was full of crumbs... And last but not least, the toilets. You can ask for a little bit of cleanliness. But unfortunately not available here either. The health department would definitely have had fun today, as would the franchisor.

worst delivery ever! ordered sandwiches more than 1 hour late. called bakkerbart lomstraat and said the delivery person was on his way. A little later we get a call from the neighbors 3 doors away that our food has been delivered to them. I call back to report this so that they can pay better attention to this from now on, the gentleman on the phone starts talking to me in Arabic. I won't be ordering or eating here again anytime soon.

Can't even ensure the correct order. You call about it, no excuses or nothing and it takes 45 minutes to complete the order. Healthy sandwich cut crookedly so that half of it was loose in the bag and no longer on the sandwich. Better order somewhere else.

You can have a good breakfast here after shopping. The selection is large, the staff is friendly, the atmosphere is completely okay. We'll be back.

Came for lunch today, went to the cash register to order and found flies everywhere crawling on the bread and toppings. There were simply no lids on the toppings to keep the flies out. Got our food and at a certain point we were just not hungry anymore due to the number of flies flying into our food. Furthermore, the food was very tasty, but something really needs to be done about the number of flies because it was very dirty to see.

Ordered today Healthy sandwich without ham, unfortunately it was there. I called and they will solve it. Now I see that my other sandwich has no sauce even though I ordered this one

Sandwiches are made and packed with the hands that have just taken money. Very unsanitary!! It can be done differently!! Every bakery in Germany or Belgium always uses gloves to prepare the rolls. And before it's your turn..... Apparently chatting with colleagues about the past weekend is more important than helping customers, who pay the staff's salary after all....

I wanted a chicken sandwich, they didn't have any chicken left, so I wanted another sandwich, but I only had the choice of a small dry roll and a flattened croissant, so I went for a pizza roll. No attention for people standing in front of the counter

It was horrible, there was more arugula on my chicken mex sandwich (which is NOT supposed to be on it by the way) than there has ever been in a salad, other than that the sandwich was tasty. It also doesn't look like there are (sons/daughters/acquaintances of the owners) walking around behind the counter every time. Other than that it was fine.

Always worth a visit to Venlo. Nice selection of breakfast offerings, delicious coffee, fresh different rolls, paninis, toasts and freshly squeezed orange juice...what more could you want?! The employees have always been friendly. There are also toilets, which have always been clean and tidy. Cozy chairs, benches and tables. Price-wise, completely okay. Stay like that :-)

One of my favourite cafés in the Netherlands is Bakker Bart. This is a great place to stop off for a coffee and a snack at any time of the day. I enjoyed a slice of strawberry sponge cake on this visit.

When we are in Venlo a visit to Bakker Bart is an absolute must. Always tastes delicious. Price-performance ratio is definitely right. I can only recommend it to everyone.
