Bakker Hilvers in Elderveld

Really tasty bread, it's just that the staff is so strange. The lady in the shop didn't know if the bread I asked for was spelt or if it was the regular whole wheat. Hopefully she gave me the right one this time.

Good bread, good quality. It's a shame about the toasted sandwich, where they put random spices on it without asking. Also, I used to find Bakkerij Koenen's promotions incredibly fun. But lately they have been using a lot of AI to advertise, which looks very cheap and unappealing to me. I think this reflects quite poorly on the company itself. That is why I have decided to go to another bakery from now on. A pity.

The bread and cake are really good and tasty, but they are so customer-unfriendly here. The spelt bread is always sold out by half past nine, and they always serve people cutting in line first, even though you've been waiting for ages. So from now on, I'll go to Koenen.

Today, I was snapped at again by a 20-year-old kid who works there. I asked for a cream bun and I heard a presumably Turkish lady say that luckily there was still one left, but the girl with the glasses thought she could snap at me by saying that if there wasn't one in the display case, it was sold out, in a tone that wanted to portray me as a stupid man who couldn't see properly. This is not the first time that people have worked in this bakery who think they can act arrogantly towards me as a man with impunity. I suggest that this be the last time a 20-year-old kid treats customers rudely. It is not an unreasonable demand that I, as a customer, want to be treated normally. And if you don't like the look of me? Too bad.
