Croissants are way too big and puffy. I'd rather have a smaller croissant made with more butter than this puffy giant croissant that's already dried out after just three hours. It looks like a pastry shop, but everything is actually factory-made in Kerkrade and then transported by van to the various branches. So, it's also a major polluter.

the food is bad: maybe it is premade somewhere else and baked there? the atmosphere is regular. the service is really quite aweful. the people just do not care of they sell anything or not, so they treat you like a task to complete. There are better places..

Every Sunday morning I get fresh rolls. It still feels like a holiday. The always cheerful and friendly staff certainly helps with that. Always time for a joke and a chat. I like to come to the ladies and gentleman! I always feel welcome.

Are you coming here especially for a Limburgse Vlaai? You only have a choice of an apricot pie. There are plenty of others in the display case. But you are not allowed to eat them in the restaurant. Bad service. Ps cobwebs next to the piss basin and around the entire ceiling.

Bought rye bread twice. The content leaves much to be desired. The edges of the bread were dried (1 cm). This factory baker is not a fresh baker and there is nothing traditional about it. Other purchases were also of very poor quality. Fresh sandwiches we ordered for our lunch with colleagues were not worth the money. I advise customers to order from another store. This business clearly has no intention of making any improvements, given the many negative reviews.

Great lunch break when you're at MECC

I visit Voncken with some regularity. It's nice that there is at least one baker in Heugem. The service is always very friendly. I recently ordered a pie and it tasted great. Unfortunately, sandwiches are often disappointing: in my opinion, just too dry, just a little lacking in flavor. I ordered a Too Good to Go package once, but I will never do that again: the bread was all quite dry and the pastry very soggy. And the deal wasn't that fantastic either. I keep hoping that I will discover Voncken's really tasty sandwiches.

I was on a short stay in Melissabeemd. From India. Every shopping @ Plus meant a coffee and a Limburgese Vlaai !! Loved it !! Got addicted.!! 😋Great friendly service, good coffee and sitting inside or outside. I must appreciate the lady at the counter for her patient and kindly service for a foreigner and a senior like me !! 😘😊

Whenever we are in Maastricht we go to De Beente. To Bakery Voncken. Just for fun. Nice friendly service. Nice cup of coffee and cake by the fireplace. But the information about the breads available is also provided in detail and with knowledge. Placing orders also runs smoothly. Nothing is too much for them and everything with a smile. Reason for us to keep going back to it. A special greeting from Finy and Theo to Veronique.

August 27, the baptism of our grandchild. The proud parents have ordered a baptism cake for a high amount The cake was not present in De Beente on the day of the baptism. The cake was somewhere else, it would be delivered as soon as possible, after 45 minutes of telephone they had moved away, in the end the cake still arrived at the address where our son and daughter-in-law were quite upset, because the visitors were already there was full and there was no cake. I don't think just an apology email afterwards is sufficient. The cake had to be paid in full in advance, but there was no compensation. Downright shameless trading for a cake of 96 euros!! Never again for us!!

De lunch bestond uit twee witte, niet verse boterhammen die ook bij de supermarkt gekocht hadden kunnen zijn, met warme kroketten met koude binnenkant, die weer opgewarmd werden in de magnetron, nadat wij dit aangaven (ook de reeds opengesneden kroket verscheen weer opgewarmd op het bord) een blaadje ijsbergsla met 1 schijfje tomaat en komkommer met wat saus uit een fles. Dit werd begeleid met naar houdbaar smakende volle melk uit een glas met een rietje (?). Er druppelde denk ik iets langs, want ze veegde iets weg bij het glas met een gebruikt vaatdoekje. De koffie was lauw en matig van smaak. Ondertussen stond de verkoopster luidkeels in dialect een jong meisje als nieuwe kracht de les te lezen. Niet voor herhaling vatbaar deze lunch (die wij namen om iets bijzonders te vieren.... jammer...) Vervolgens vraagt men een email te sturen (naar aanleiding van onze googlereview) en hebben wij dat gedaan naar het opgegeven emailadres (dd 6 juni jl), maar tot op heden (22 aug) hebben wij niets van hen vernomen. Dus bakkerij Voncken uit zich in excuses en het willen goedmaken op internet onder de review, maar geeft daar zelf geen vervolg aan...

The lunch consisted of two white, not fresh sandwiches that could also have been bought at the supermarket, with warm croquettes with cold insides, which were reheated after we indicated this (the croquette that had already been cut open also appeared reheated on the plate), a leaf iceberg lettuce with 1 slice of tomato and cucumber with some sauce from a bottle. This was accompanied by shelf-stable tasting whole milk from a glass with a straw (?). I think something dripped because she wiped something away from the glass with a used dishcloth. The coffee was lukewarm and mediocre in taste. Meanwhile, the saleswoman was loudly lecturing a young girl as a new force in dialect. Not worth repeating this lunch (which we took to celebrate something special... too bad...) They then ask to send an email (see below) and we did so to the email address provided (dated June 6), but to date (August 22) we have not heard anything from them. So Voncken bakery expresses itself in apologies and wanting to make amends on the internet under the review, but does not follow up on this itself...

A large sign outside states that THIS WEEK apricot turnovers are being sold for 1.29. 2.30 is added at checkout. When I point to the sign I am told that is NEXT WEEK's offer. Dear management of Voncken bakery: teach your staff what the difference is between this week and next week. And don't put a sign like that outside if the offer doesn't apply!

Packaging nice, but the contents leave much to be desired. The entourage looked inviting, so we decided to have our breakfast here. Afterwards I won't come here again. We had already had breakfast before us and you could tell by the crumbs on the chairs, couch and table. Why not cleaned when crockery is collected, we do not understand this. Neither of us wanted ham, which was also clearly stated, but this was included. Why? Girlfriend wanted a yogurt and not croissants. Instead of To indicate that in this case it is better to order a fit breakfast, yogurt was added separately. When asked whether the fit breakfast in combination with the bakery breakfast would not be cheaper, the answer was: "I don't know the prices, I don't know." I asked if they had apricot jam to go with the croissant. “No, just strawberries.” Sorry, but Ruijters also supplies tubs of apricot “jelly” because it was not jam. Not everyone likes margarine, but apparently there is no choice for butter. The yogurt had kiwi on it. Kiwi and dairy don't go well together. All in all, the packaging of the business is fantastic, but when it comes to customer friendliness, hygiene and breakfast, it is far below par. The customer wants to be heard, wants to experience cleanliness at the table and chairs, wants to leave satisfied and say that it is good. But the disinterest of the staff remains with us. Shame!

They dare to charge €7.40 for 1 slice of brown bread, with 2 small slices of cheese and 1 fried egg. Too ridiculous for words.

Er was volgens mij iets mis gegaan met het bakken of het had te lang in de diepvries gelegen. Jammer, een glutenvrij brood hebben we zo in de prullenbak kunnen gooien. Echt jammer, want het is niet goedkoop.

I wanted vegetarish pizza but they gave me Huwaai Pizza(with pork). When I bit it I noticed that, they should have given free vegetarian pizza for compensation but they refused to pay back. As a Muslim who doesn’t eat pork in your live at all, it was huge emotional damage for me.

Great bakery! Well taken care of!

Iced coffee is really not worth the €7 and they serve it in a paper cup. The ice cream balls are not even blended. Add some coffee and whipped cream with sprinkles and you're done. See picture

Voncken has been here for a year and is an addition to the small shopping center. Friendly staff and nicely decorated.
