The wait was short, but the line moved quickly. The food was delicious! We had shakshuka with focaccia bread, an omelet, and their famous chicken sandwich. It has a unique flavor; the chicken is sweet and the seasoning is great. The place is spacious compared to other restaurants in Amsterdam.

The egg shakshooka was wonderful missing some salt but it was delicious. The cheese croissant was little oily but freshly baked. The egg croissant was good as well it came with granola and side bread and cheese. The most amazing was the French toast and the pancakes it was from another world specially the pancakes. This bakery serves undeniably excellent food, but it comes with a side of toxic pretension and a total lack of basic hospitality. The experience began with a shout across the room, not a greeting, but a blunt declaration that they had no room. Ironically, we were seated within six minutes, making the initial hostility as unnecessary as it was ignorant. The service operates with the structural rigidity of a rusted canal lock; there is zero flexibility. When we asked for plain eggs for our toddlers to avoid the chili and feta, the sneering waitress gave us a hard no. When we suggested simply leaving the toppings off, she eventually delivered the omelet with a pot of super hot chili oil placed right in front of a 2 and 4 year old, a staggering lack of common sense. Management appears to govern through intimidation. When I approached the chef, the only hospitable person there, the battle-axe manager shut him down with a look so withering and aggressive that he literally recoiled. It is clear that neither staff nor customers are treated with decency here. The Verdict The food is rich and high-quality, but if you aren’t a trendy 22 year old, you are an inconvenience. In a city like Amsterdam, full of gems like Eggs Addicted where kindness is actually on the menu, there is no reason to be bullied by this manager and her sidekick waitress. Go for takeout if you must, but avoid dining in.

A nice and quaint morning breakfast spot. We sat right by the main ovens for the bakery and enjoyed watching the treats go out to the store front. A must if you are starting your day in the Jordaan neighborhood.

the food was great but the servers were extremely inattentive. we asked for the bill three separate times and had to wait 30 mins. it was quite busy but we did witness one of the waitresses just hugging and chatting to her friend

The smash burger is the highlight! Juicy, flavorful, and very filling. It’s slightly salty, but still a great burger overall. The coffee is decent, and the sweets are fine, nothing special but enjoyable. The place has a nice, lively vibe. Even on a Tuesday it was busy, and we waited about 10 minutes to get in. Still, service was quick and the staff were friendly, which made the wait worth it.

This place is such a gem! It’s located on the prettiest street and has the most gorgeous exterior and interior. The staff were very warm, welcoming and happy! The atmosphere was lovely and as was the food. Highly recommend the shakshuka! The coffee was fantastic as well!

We ordered the shakshuka and Korean fried chicken burger. The shakshuka combined with the external crunch of the bread and soft interior was a true delight. I could taste the freshness in their ingredients. The contrast with the Korean fried chicken burger was splendid providing the perfect crunch through the soft buns to the juicy chicken. Strongly recommend coming for lunch, a very vibrant and welcoming place to eat.

Poor service in the smaller cafe where you get coffee. But the pastries are alright.

Understaffed should not be my problem. Waiters were “ we’re too busy and understaffed “ while busy yapping behind the bar. Food was good tho. Be prepared to have food before a glass of tap water :)

I came to this restaurant today and ordered breakfast. I ate, and everything was delicious. However, there was a waitress—I don't know her name—who charged me twice for bread on the bill. It seems she wanted me to pay more! 🤣🤣

We went around noon today and ordered a mini brunch. We had to wait in line for about 15 minutes (but there were five of us). I had the Spanish omelet with a croissant. Everything was delicious! And the chai latte was perfect too. It is a bit pricey, though. There were five of us, and with drinks, the bill came to €19, but if you want a good lunch or breakfast, this is one of the places to go.

We arrived on time on Saturday. Around 9:30, the line was outside. We had a fantastic breakfast, with delicious bread. The service was very friendly and attentive.

Great place. Super friendly staff with great fpod and drink. The shakshuka, pear sparkling lemonade and ice latte were fantastic. Gets busy but worth waiting in the queue for a seat!

I'll break down what my rating is based on. I'm giving three stars because: - Very nice and eye-pleasing place - Friendly staff - Food was great, I had Omelet on sourdough bread and the pancakes. It was delicious! - You get a nice sweet snack with your coffee which was very tasty I'm giving -2 stars because: - Coffee was HORRIBLE. It was watery, no smell and no taste at all. Cappuccino was coffee with milk poured into, no milk foam at all. I think coffee is an important part of the food so 2 stars deduction is fair in my opinion.

Amazing breakfast! I felt like I was in a Scandinavian influencer's Instagram story 😌🤭 The sourdough bread was a real treat!! Crusty on the outside, tender and soft on the inside, the soft-boiled egg was perfect, and we even got a delicious little cookie with our cappuccino ;) - I'd love to come back again! 🥰

Delicious breakfast and tea. The service and reception were wonderful. Just wait (depending on how busy it is, you might have to wait for a table to become available). I recommend it. I tried the omelet, shakshuka, and tea, and it's best to make sure the water is hot because they bring it a little lukewarm. 😉🫡

Unfortunately, we couldn't get a table, which is because the shop is very popular, and rightly so. We did, however, buy some of their incredibly delicious baked goods. It was a real treat and a must-visit for us whenever we're in the area. Thumbs up!

Very tasty sourdough and omelette

“Look at my flat white!” I texted my sister as a joke, because this ain’t a flat white… It’s like ordering an omelet but getting scrambled eggs. I can take a lot with not getting a perfect coffee, but 2 vingers of soapy foam on a coffee that shouldn’t have any… The pastries were delicious and the service was fine. But if I pay €5 for a coffee I’d like to get what I ordered. Did I send it back? No, cause with only one barista I probably won’t get it if I ask for a new one.

We accidentally wandered into this cafe and it was the best accident in my life! Incredibly delicious coffee, pastries that shout: «eat me», not high prices. There was a queue here, but it can only mean one thing: people love this place!!! Thank you for the delicious reception!

If you are looking for a place to get a quick coffee then do not come here. They have bad service, bad attitude and they take forever to bring your coffee out.

This dish is enough for two people, especially if they're girls 🙈 It's delicious, and they also have a delicious shakshuka. The service is quick, and the place is a great size—there are about 15 tables in the restaurant.

Good location, good seating, which is rare in the area. The bread was good would’ve loved it if they had some toasted options. The buratta one was very refreshing and light. I was very exited for the chicken but the flavor was a little monotone. It was mainly bbq sauce but not really captivating. The cabbage didn’t really add something. Maybe some pickles would be better idk. Also tried the matcha cookie from the bakery sadly that one was dissapointing. Weird texture and not the cookie u would have in mind. But the place has good options and its clear they put a lot of effort. If they would make some tiny adjustments it would be perfect!

Absolutely amazing sourdough, the texture is divine! Very stretchy, soft, and satisfyingly chewy. Highly recommend the za'atar spiced loaf- perfectly balanced between the delicious spice mix without overpowering the subtly flavour of the bread itself, combined with the nuttiness of the sesame seed topping that gives a rich tahini/peanut butter nuttiness :)

One of the best break bakery in the city

The breakfast was absolutely delicious! I tried the shakshuka, and it was amazing — adding the spicy sauce gave it a perfect extra flavor. We also tried the flan cake, which was delightful as well. The coffee was excellent, and the staff were very friendly. I highly recommend visiting this place!

We ordered shakshuka, and when our order arrived, we asked for two extra pieces of bread, as well as French toast and coffee. They brought the coffee, but it became cold while we were still waiting for the bread—they took so long, even though we reminded them twice that we were still waiting. The food was average, only the French toast was really delicious, but the coffee was cold and the service was slow. I don’t recommend this place.

The pulled chicken sandwich at 12 euro had barely any chicken. It was mostly just cabbage and pickle. Very greasy/oily and not worth it.

Still one of my favourite sando / brunch places in Amsterdam. Tried the spicy chicken focaccia at Wolf House Bakery (take-out) and it was fantastic. The bread itself is the star light, airy, and perfectly crisp on top, with a texture that balances softness and crunch. The filling was rich and flavourful, with a good kick of spice that paired beautifully with the tang of the kimchi-style slaw inside. It’s indulgent, messy in the best way, and definitely worth the hype. Wolf House nails the combination of quality baking and bold flavours, making this a spot I’d happily return to for a sandwich that feels far from ordinary.

Bakery and breakfast restaurant We went there for breakfast. The food was delicious. The service was a bit slow. They make you feel like they're distracted, but they're nice. Their baked goods are delicious. We went there again, but the baked goods section is different. We only took some of the baked goods.

Best breakfast spot in Amsterdam

This bakery is very popular. We had to wait a while, but eventually we were seated. We also had to wait a long time to order. The staff seemed unmotivated and tense. That was a bit of a shame, because the food was incredibly delicious and highly recommended!

The place was crowded inside, so we sat outside to enjoy the atmosphere. I wouldn’t really recommend sitting outside though, as it got busy and people kept forming a line right next to us. Also, the waitress sometimes forgot the orders of those sitting outside. The food was good.

Had a wonderful time at the restaurant! The food was delicious and the vibes cozy, but what really made the experience special was Annemijn. She was so kind, welcoming, and attentive. Thank you for the great service and warm smile

What are these good reviews for?? Croissant: salty?? And tastes like a supermarket one. Nice crumb inside but it just tastes off. Outside texture not right. Cinnamon roll: how can you mess this up? Flavour lacking, and why is it crunchy… Chocolate cookie: how can you mess THIS up? There is no flavour, there is not enough chocolate… The good thing is prices for the bakes are not bad - €2.20 for the croissant. Unfortunately at €4.60 for a flat white that tastes overbrewed, I can’t recommend this place.

Ordered breakfast and waited over a half an hour as other patrons came and went. Didn't even get my coffee. Waitress finally came back, and asked for my order again as if I was never there. I walked out with nothing. No food, no service, no apology. No excuse. Plenty of better places close by that will accept money for a simple service.

Food, very bland and tasteless, the choice on the menu is very limited, unpleasant staff not attentive to customers, not to mention the value for money, a toast with an omelet without anything as a side dish for €15, a croissant for €4, a real tourist trap, it's scandalous

The food was good, but the service could be much better. It took ages to get the bill, which several people around us complained about. When we asked if we could pay at the bar, we were directed back and told they would come to our table. This didn't happen until 20 minutes later.

A day in Amsterdam started for us at Bakkerij Wolf – and it was an immediate hit. "Delicious breakfast" is even an understatement, especially if you love sourdough. I opted for Wolf's extensive breakfast and was immediately impressed: a freshly baked slice of sourdough bread was topped with a croissant that literally made my mouth water. Large, fluffy, and crispy – just how a croissant should be. The sourdough itself was also perfect. The yogurt was creamy, and the portion was just right (I unfortunately had to skip the boiled egg, but that was more my fault). My husband and daughter's dishes were just as good: nicely seasoned, beautifully balanced, and in perfectly filling portions. In short: Bakkerij Wolf is the perfect place for a tasty, energetic start to a day in Amsterdam. A must-try xx

The croissants, almond croissants, and croffins were all delicious. I love this shop. There's a cafe next door, so I'd like to try the breakfast there next time.

The shakshuka is to die for ! Well presented and as yummy as it looks - definitely will come back to try other dishes:) Side note: make sure to ask tap water, otherwise you’ll be charged per glass - even though the lime is very nice touch !

Went to the restaurant and got the ham and cheese croissant for breakfast. It was nothing to write home about. Not sure if the standalone bakery is any better.

If you don't want to wait to be seated, go left to the takeaway counter. Perfect for the quick snack to go!

The coffee was good but the water was not even a bottle of water and it cost €2.50!
