Very unfortunate and, frankly, quite frustrating. We had made a reservation here to celebrate a birthday, but we were only told 5 minutes beforehand that the food was not halal. If we had known this earlier, we could have simply looked for another place and celebrated the birthday. But to only mention this literally 5 minutes beforehand, I find really impolite and completely unfriendly to customers. It’s not even about the food not being halal; that is possible, of course. The problem is that this was communicated much too late, causing our entire plan to fall apart and ultimately preventing us from celebrating the birthday as planned. Very disappointing, and in my opinion, this should simply have been indicated much earlier. This is really unacceptable!

The food was delicious. The digital ordering system makes ordering easy, but there is less contact with the staff; they communicate very little and don't necessarily have time for a chat. Normally, when taking orders for drinks, for example, a conversation would be nice. We also went for my son's birthday. There were streamers hanging (not necessarily clear to him), but nothing was done with them.

The food is amazing. Especially the salmon tartare and the breaded prawns in lots of garlic! :) Super fast service. Staff very nice. Everything is clean and tidy. Great value for such good quality. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed the deluxe menu in a beautiful setting. Unlimited luxury sushi, sashimi, beef hotpot, and much more!! Really delicious and friendly staff. You can conveniently order using the tablet. I would definitely recommend it, but be sure to reserve on time, because it fills up fast!

The food was good and served quickly. Based on the look of the logo and website, I had personally expected the atmosphere to be a bit more luxurious. It was very noisy, making conversation very difficult. We were seated next to the open kitchen, which made it even busier since the staff gathers there to serve. For me personally, it wasn't worth the extra travel, but the food is very good. So, if you aren't bothered by crowds, definitely go there sometime.

The service was attentive and professional, making us feel very welcome. The culinary creations were of high quality and prepared with taste. I can therefore wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant.

First time at Bambuddah. Because we were tipped off that it was supposed to be fantastic. Unfortunately, the welcome was not very warm. The waitress led us to the table with a surly face. The music was very loud, and the music being played was more suited to a club. The speed at which the sushi and dishes arrived was good, though. And it tasted good too. It was also nice that you didn't get those huge sushi pieces that didn't fit in your mouth. The acoustics were terrible. Fortunately, we were early and finished when it got really busy. Additionally, there was a lot of garden waste lying around, and overflowing ashtrays were standing outside on the table. Nice place, but as far as I'm concerned, there is definitely still room for improvement.

Great restaurant, guaranteeing a fun, atmospheric evening. The only downside is that you can't just drop by spontaneously anymore; there is never any room! Sometimes you have to reserve almost two weeks in advance.

Went out for dinner on a Tuesday. The food is brought quickly, but not quite thrown onto your table. Not by every employee, but some seemed to do their job veeeeery ‘eagerly.’ (which they didn't). 🤔😞. Because of that, I didn't feel very welcome. The food is good but not spectacular. We went for dinner at Bambuddha yesterday. And it was so delicious. Friendly service.

A twenty-minute break between each order is far too long and exhausting. Even if you just want to order dessert and leave, you still have to wait 20 minutes. Three portions per person is not much. The food is average quality, and the portions are ridiculously small. On holidays, you pay twice as much for a standard menu.

Tastefully decorated. Choice of several seating areas. Most dishes are prepared tastefully. Bruschetta was too simple. Some meat dishes were very greasy.

I ate here last week and went to 2 similar restaurants afterwards, but this one really stands out. The food was top-notch, and the service was good. I didn't give it full stars because it seems to me there are always things that could perhaps be better. Oh, and the wine was delicious 👌

The appearance and cleanliness of the exterior also say something about the ins and outs of the interior. On the outside, it is a mess in the form of an uninviting atmosphere, clutter, weeds, and tables and chairs piled up in a heap. In short, not inviting... The interior is actually quite cozy, but the chairs are dirty and cobwebs are everywhere. The food is nothing special; the sushi is no better than elsewhere. A bit more expensive and less variety (unless you pay a hefty premium). What is actually very good? The service is cheerful and well-represented. To the staff and especially the kitchen. Don't come smoking your cigarette half-sweated in plain sight of the customer. Has zero charisma.

We went out for dinner this evening, and spicy sauce was accidentally thrown over my sister's head. This was not mentioned by the person who did it; when we confronted him about it, he didn't take it seriously and no solution was offered. The food was great, but the way some employees treat customers needs work.

We had a delicious meal. It is nice that the tables are not too close together. What we experienced as a disadvantage is that if you are with a larger group and a dish is ordered twice (e.g. beef teriyaki), the portions are not served separately but together.

My boyfriend and I ate here today, so here's my honest review. This restaurant was recommended to me and I thought we'd give it a try. We chose the Deluxe menu. I found the atmosphere quite disappointing, the decor quite outdated. The food was incredibly disappointing and very standard for €40 per person—cheap food for an expensive price. The presentation of the food also had a buffet vibe. I didn't find it anything special. The food isn't bad, but it's not great either. I know other places that are better and cheaper. I won't be returning.

My experience at Bambuddha was unfortunately very disappointing. The only real plus is that there's free parking. Two years ago, I found the food here innovative and delicious, but I didn't see any of that this time. The sushi didn't seem freshly prepared, and some dishes, like the vegetables and noodles, tasted like they came from the freezer and were bland. The service also left a lot to be desired. Upon entering, the woman behind the counter was visibly irritated, which didn't make a good first impression. I also saw another employee not washing her hands after using the restroom, which I found very unhygienic. All in all, I was very disappointed with both the food and the staff, and that's why I won't be returning.

I found a piece of glass in my ice cream. I was/am really quite shocked that this happened at Bambudda. Thank goodness I noticed. I contacted the GP and will report it to the food and beverage inspection service because this is very dangerous, so be careful.

The food is mainly sushi and meat. I miss the variety of vegetables. It was quite noisy. I couldn't have a normal conversation with my companion. The Japanese "special" beer tasted like a regular pilsner, and the Japanese tea was a tea in a bag, nothing special or special (except for the price). Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it.

High expectations but somewhat disappointing. Much of it is the same as elsewhere. Service is poor, in my opinion, with chewing gum in my mouth and sometimes even rude staff.

I find the price-quality ratio poor. 40 euros for a steak menu, where the extra steak isn't really that special.

Although they use more or less the same concept as all those other sushi restaurants, they have exceptionally good "real" food here!

This will be fine for sushi lovers. Unfortunately, we left quite quickly and were both unsatisfied. It was noisy, which you have to be able to handle. The food wasn't cooked properly or was too hard, and after complaining about it several times, we left. Unfortunately, we won't be back.

So, I tried it once, given the good reviews. In short: I won't be back. The concept is good, the execution typically Chinese. Plenty of choices, but everything tastes the same due to the frequent use of soy sauce and mayonnaise. It's a shame, because you can't really call this authentic anymore. More like a cunning business model. Take, for example, a poke bowl. Nicely made, but topped with: 1) a layer of seaweed (great), 2) a thick layer of soy sauce, and 3) mayo (how did you come up with that). The whole thing is a greasy mess. Also, several times a night, the birthday songs blared through the place.

Ordering 3 things per person and waiting 20 minutes between rounds to get bad food is really bad and then there is the excess noise from noisy visitors

The music was amazing, swinging along to Reaggeton at the table. Birthday boys and girls like Job and Jet were celebrated loud and clear! Once things quieted down, we noticed halfway through the evening that it can be quite a noisy environment, which makes it a bit harder to hear each other. Oh well, we're not elderly yet, so we certainly shouldn't complain. We were always generously spoiled as compensation for the "long" wait before we could be seated. However, it wasn't that long, in my opinion... If you like this concept, you should definitely go to Bambuddha!

Bambuddha is an all-you-can-eat concept with no time limit. Unfortunately, I had a different experience today. Because it was busy, we were kindly asked to leave, which is odd considering the website and menu indicate there's no time limit. I found it odd that we were told to order dessert and eat it within 5 minutes. We were practically chased away. It's a shame because the food was truly excellent.

The Bambuddha staff had decorated it beautifully and festively. It was more than expected! Incredibly thoughtful! For those who wanted to eat there quietly yesterday (6/9/25), we apologize for the noise such a group creates. We hope it didn't bother you too much and you enjoyed your evening as much as we enjoyed watching our parents enjoy themselves.

We went to Bambuddha for dinner with our family. The food was excellent. Our daughter started crying, and after a while, we were asked to "take her for a walk outside" because we couldn't get her to be quiet right away. I thought this was absurd, and we definitely won't be coming back.

The food is good, very good for an all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant. We drive from Roermond to Meerssen especially for Bambuddha, so that speaks volumes. The only minor drawback is when you sit down in front of the speaker and it's someone's birthday, because a birthday song is played loudly throughout the restaurant. Unfortunately, that happened about eight times the evening we were there. Also, the area where we sat is quite noisy, so if there are families or full tables sitting next to you, the atmosphere is a bit less pleasant. But otherwise, the service is really excellent, the staff are super friendly, the food is excellent, and the presentation is beautiful! So, definitely worth a visit. We recommend the Deluxe Menu if you want to try a bit of everything.

The location is situated in a park-like setting that could be transformed into something beautiful, but where maintenance is a major concern. To enter the restaurant, you have to climb a flight of stairs. However, inside, the welcome is warm. The decor is atmospheric and the chairs are comfortable. A varied menu is easy to order. Delivery is super fast, and the service isn't as stressful as in most sushi restaurants. The dishes were excellent quality, tasty, and generously sized. Afterward, the descent down the stairs was at least a pleasant one.
