Wonderful chicken and mushroom pie!

€15.60. For 7 pieces of poor quality filled cookies. First and last time buying anything from them.

Last Tuesday, I bought a cheese roll and a ham and cheese roll at this bakery. The cheese roll was simply old and moldy and came straight from the fridge, because it felt completely cold and there were green spots on the roll. I noticed this after I had already taken a bite! Fortunately, the employee did give me my money back. She told me that they are allowed to keep the rolls for a maximum of 2 days, which I find quite peculiar, because croissants and cheese rolls that were baked 2 days ago can definitely be called old! Even at the supermarket, they don't even sell rolls that are a day old! How dare a bakery still charge 3 euros for this? I think 3 euros is a brazen price for one roll anyway, but that is another topic! If it had actually been good and tasty, I would have been willing to make an exception just this once. You should expect fresh products from a bakery, especially at these prices. This is the last time I will buy anything here, because I think this is really very bad. This is the first time I’ve come home from a bakery with stale rolls. People, do something about this, because this is really unacceptable. Throw it away if it’s been out for 1 or 2 days, because surely you don't put freshly baked rolls among rolls that are already a few days old? I don't think this is worth a bad review.

As an Amsterdammer, I've noticed the world of difference between the cities. For the city of Hoorn, it's fantastic, but for Amsterdammers, it's really meh.

We had a tasting at Shana's bakery for our wedding, and subsequently had her make a cake for our big day. It was fan-tas-tic. The cake was aesthetically BEAUTIFUL and exactly as we had envisioned it. The flavors we had chosen were delicious, and the cake itself was incredibly light and rich in flavor. Additionally, Shana transported the cake from Hoorn to Harderwijk for the location. Truly amazing. I cannot rave enough. So incredibly happy.
