Bar Bistro DuCo Oss in Oss-Zuid

Before a football match, we thought we'd grab a bite to eat at this restaurant. I dine out regularly, but this was awful. We ordered a carpaccio, which was a bit small for €16.50. It didn't taste particularly good either. But the last straw was the tenderloin skewer for €29.50. Besides being a skewer with four pieces of meat, these four pieces were completely cooked through. The skewer was sitting on a few slices of carrot and two mini baby potatoes. Luckily, I'd ordered a small portion of fries for €6.50. By the time our main course (if I can even call it a main course) was served, I ordered a coke and a glass of wine from the young man, who was very friendly, but after 15 minutes, we still hadn't received our drinks. I then asked a colleague again, who said he would take care of it. Several minutes later, the young man came back to ask if we'd received our coke yet, to which I replied that we hadn't. A little later, he arrived with my coke and told us that the Pino wasn't cold and asked if we wanted to order something else. However, they didn't charge us for the coffee we ordered when we paid because we couldn't order wine. All in all, I think we were very unlucky this evening, and I hope other guests have better luck paying €122.

We chose the 3-course menu at a promotional price. We loved everything. The price/quality ratio was excellent. The service was also very friendly. The atmosphere was friendly, and there was plenty of parking.

It was very quiet upon arrival (Sunday), and given the reviews, I didn't expect much. Upon arrival, I wasn't greeted; the chef was busy in the kitchen, and a young man was working. Ultimately, on the young man's recommendation, I ordered the schnitzel, and I was pleasantly surprised. A lovely plate with good fries and a well-cooked schnitzel, along with a fresh and flavorful salad. I had a delicious meal and left satisfied.

Great food and fantastic people who throw the whole experience together for you. Ate there for all three meals at one point or another. Great people every time.

Nice glass of wine. Excellent food. Great atmosphere.

Dinner and breakfast were very good

It was very good, dinner was delicious, some recipes from the special oven were delicious. Breakfast was a bit simpler but also excellent. But most importantly, the friendly staff was helpful and professional. Great hotel for another visit.

Hospitality according to Duco: €4.75 for a double espresso and no sip of water. "We don't serve tap water," he says, as if it were a poor question—not how espresso should be served.

De uitstraling is niet uitnodigend, in sportcentrum. We hebben wel lekker gegeten, Bediening voldoende, er werd gevraagd na het hoofd gerecht : willen jullie nog iets hebben. Ik vond het een beetje apart. Restaurant kan gezelliger. Toch een voldoende maar niet voor herhaling

Quality of the food is ok, but if you choose the exclusive mixed grill for 27€ and you get this.. disappointingly poorly presented and also in terms of quantity it leaves something to be desired. It is a bistro, not a star restaurant, right. 2 sticks of spare ribs ... how do you come up with that.

Asking a lot of money and the quality was not good. Wines also very poorly filled glasses but asking 5.50. We ate the next day at the local Greek, they could learn something from Duco Oss

Cozy tasty food. Friendly good service.

The food quality is good, this is why I put 2 stars and not 1 star. Staff is generally unhappy and unfriendly, only the smalls hands are nice and smily. Visually the venue is not that great, really needs improvement regarding the price of food.

The restaurant is beautiful and attractively decorated, but I was particularly pleasantly surprised by the food here. We took the three-course menu. The dishes are tasty, the portions are quite large. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back

Niet doen als je dezelfde avond nog ergens naar toe moet. We hadden zelf 2 uur ingepland om te kunnen eten. Na een half uur wachten nog steeds niemand om onze bestelling op te nemen. Eindelijk kwam een medewerkster met de diner kaart en nam onze bestelling voor een drankje op. Na 15 minuten nog steeds geen drankje. Toen maar weer een medewerkster erbij gehaald. Deze kon niet garanderen dat we onze 3 gangen diner op tijd zouden krijgen. We zijn toen maar weggegaan. Geen drankje en geen eten. Bediening kan hier weinig aan doen. Er is gewoonweg geen personeel. Hier komen we dus nooit meer.

I wanted to drink hot chocolate with whipped cream here with my daughter. The answer was that they didn't have hot chocolate with whipped cream, even though it is on the menu. When I referred to this the answer was I'm not looking to make it.

Slecht eten. Bestelde soep met curry en kregen salade Noorse garnalen met sla en smaakloze saus. Nota bene de chef's choice. Prijs: 13,75. Hoofdgerecht ook buiten de kaart om; sliptong. Inderdaad, je kreeg alleen sliptong met lauwe/ koude friet in een metalen mandje zodat de friet al koud was voordat het op je tafel staat. Alles erg smakeloos en zag er grauw uit. Er lag geen sprietje groente bij. Sliptong kostte 23. Triest voor een bistro die zich uitgeeft als culinair. De zure chardonnay snel opgedronken en vertrokken. tot nooit meer ziens.

Offer via holiday auctions, hospitable and neatly received, nice outside seating, then the service became less and less. Had to wait 30 minutes for carpaccio and soup and other guests who came later were already at the main course. Ordering drinks also took a super long time, often made eye contact, were simply not helped!

The worst restaurant I've ever been to!!! The waitress is like a pig, the tables are dirty, and there is no service from the heart, it feels like she was forced to work!!!

I think it's a nice restaurant and we had an excellent meal there with our work for a minimal price.

Alles uit een pakje, saté droog, samengeperst vlees. Snitsel niet gepaneerd, maar in een beslagje gebakken, was smakeloos. Was heel stil in het restaurant en bar werd om 20.30 gesloten. Vriendelijke bediening,maar zeker geen aanrader!

Poor quality, satay dry, ready-made. Snitsel didn't taste like anything and the fries were not cooked properly. The only positive was the friendly staff.

The hamburger, chicken burger and fries were fine. The chicken satay was a bit dry. The service/service was very nice.

Enjoyed our high tea. The staff was very friendly and explained well what we could expect from the high tea. We had tomato soup as a starter. Then a tower with delicious sandwiches and various delicious snacks. The snacks were not too sweet. We had feasted and enjoyed it. Tea was unlimited.

Het eten was oké. Bediening was vriendelijk. Maar ooh wat was het koud! Moesten eigenlijk de jas aanhouden. Personeel vertelde dat de climate control onvoldoende werkt en dat dit ook niet veranderd kan worden. Ook zij hebben het enorm koud. Alleen daarom al kom ik er niet meer.

Lunchkaart kwam niet overeen met wat op de website stond. Uiteindelijk toch mogen bestellen wat op de site stond. Waren de enige aanwezig, wat te merken was aan de temperatuur. Het was ronduit koud. Eten was redelijk goed, bediening was matig.

Very disappointed experience. They can not even serve a proper Cesar salad! Lettuce was yellow and finely chopped, should be green leaves and shredded or whole leaves. No ansjovis although it was mentioned on themenu. 2 flakes of parmezan, and was served with chickenthigh filet instead of regular chicken filet. Waitress was asked for alternative. Kept me waiting so long that my dinner conpanion was already almost done with his meal. No apologies and not once asked if everything was okay now.

Very bad. Telephone appointments were not kept, 1 wrong main course was delivered, no questions were asked in between if everything was to your liking and 1 person had already finished the desserts before the 2nd arrived. This was the 1st and last time we have been there.

The food was quite nice. No bad experience here. The service could have been better, but the whole staff, including cheff, seemed kind of new to me. Things weren't smooth yet.

Quite a nice location (okay, but with a view over the parking lots). Nice and quiet. We arrived and ordered something to drink. This was brought by the waiter who had everything under his arm (2x bottles of soft drinks and 2 glasses) then he walks away without asking anything. QR code scanned, we could order straight away. But that didn't work. Behind us on the terrace sat the waiter and the cook, completely slumped and so busy with each other that it took a long time before they saw us beckoning. Final response. Ordered 2 meal salads. These were also brought with cutlery in hand. The cutlery was placed on the table, no napkin... Salad had old, brown lettuce in it. There was bread on the plate, no dip or butter. When we had finished it, we were asked from a distance if we wanted something to drink. We asked for the bill. Not worth repeating for us, unfortunately, the room itself looks quite nice.

The food was fine, you got enough. Only, I didn't order my burger completely done. This he was. I ordered a cabernet sauvignon. I got a merlot. The service is inexperienced and left much to be desired, you are not greeted when you enter or when you leave. Staff barely speaks Dutch. They don't ask if you want something to drink the entire evening. They look at you and immediately look away. All guests had to go to the bar for every question (drinks, dessert, payment, etc.). The staff is constantly doing nothing and chatting behind the bar. They talk about the guests who are present. The tables were dirty. We had to wait over an hour for the soup alone, and it was not busy at all. Someone in my company was pregnant. They didn't know what to do with the question of whether she could have everything she ordered because of the pregnancy. They never once asked if everything was okay. The staff has long nails, wears rings and loose hair. In addition, they ensure that they do not lack anything, because they drink and eat behind the bar. This was too expensive for me every cent. Unfortunately I had already paid in advance, otherwise I would have gotten up and left before the soup. This was once for me, but NEVER again. I'm sorry I didn't read the review on Google sooner. Because I read a lot of similar comments.

Bij ons verblijf in Fletcher hotel Oss hier 2x gegeten op het terras. Is ons prima bevallen. Prijzen zijn redelijk, personeel vriendelijk. Geen aanmerkingen.

Not experienced service and the food was very bad, did not serve what was ordered, many missing ingredients

We had a good meal, that's for sure! The restaurant looks okay and we would definitely go back. There is some room for improvement in my opinion. Unfortunately, the backrests of the chairs were sticky. Artificial plant on the table, but a real candle. The service was very friendly, but did not seem very experienced. We took a bread board in advance, the bread was not baked properly, making it too soft to cut normally. It was also quite humid. Herb butter was rock hard, but you could thaw it for the sandwich. Main courses would have been prepared on the big green egg. Well, some pieces of meat had a BBQ taste, but a questionable one. (I recognized my father-in-law's lighting skills. (just put a bottle of lighter fluid on top and add a match, poof!)) The chicken and ribs came straight out of the steamer oven and I suspect the spare ribs of this too. They were super cooked and the taste and temperature were fine. The fries were crispy and delicious. The salad had a lemon in it, which in my opinion completely ruined the salad. I asked the doctor why there was lemon in it, but he replied with a big smile: “Well, this could be possible, but I have no idea.” Then it stopped there. The cappuccino was exactly what I expected. Unfortunately. A nice cookie with it, that's for sure.

Atmospheric restaurant, mediocre service, downright bad food, certainly not the green egg as promised and ripped off at checkout. They'll never see me again.

To much wrong to describe in detail. Beware!!!

Food was beautifully presented, but that's where it ends. Sirloin steak was more tendon and fat than meat, not being able to eat a square cm. Vegetables were okay... Staff looked very angry when I said the meat was not okay. Apparently not the only one with this problem.

Had a nice drink in the evening and had a drink the next day in the afternoon.

Meat tastes good the rest is very bad! Fries, fried soup with no taste, poor service and caparcio that tastes like lemon, even though there were 14 customers, of which there were 8 of us. Recipes that are on the menu as for green eggs simply come out of the oven.

We were going to have brunch on Boxing Day with my mother and 2 sons. When we get there, it turns out that the entire Christmas brunch has been canceled due to the lack of interest. We would have been called and picked up, but the telephone number could not be specified because the computer had to be started for that. And with the exception of the confirmation, we have not received anything by email. Nothing oh how annoying oh sorry nothing... Ultimately we were able to drive to the forest because there was still room there, yes we will do that but we will still have to and want to eat something.

Delicious meal with the social deal voucher. But what made it great was the service. Despite my own mistake, the voucher was immediately accepted and we did not miss anything. Big plus for the service on Saturday, Oct. 22

Nothing great but decent for a quick dinner

We ended up at this location by chance, we were under the impression that we had made a reservation elsewhere. Reservation via Groupon. Hotel/restaurant is located close to the Top Oss stadium. It is somewhat remote from the center, which makes it look a bit businesslike from the outside. Free parking in front of the door. However, once inside we certainly found it attractive. We were warmly welcomed at the reception of the hotel. The restaurant is on the first floor. Operation correct and attentive. The menu choices via the Groupon offer are not very extensive and a small surcharge is charged for some dishes. Still a nice meal. Vegetarian hamburger and chicken satay from the green egg. Dame blanche, fortunately in its own way, and not in one of those hackneyed sundae glasses. After dinner we enjoyed a nice meal on the nice couch. We were not forgotten by the service. There was regular contact. After a fun evening, an informative chat with one of the employees. We had some doubts on the way there due to the mostly negative reviews, but we look back on a great evening.

Had lunch 2 months ago which was fine. Had dinner now. Carpaccio was not fresh and not beautifully red and no longer smelled good. Tenderloin skewer dry, with too much fat on it. Reported but apart from an apology nothing was done with the bill. Waiting staff are not suitable for the catering industry. This was our last visit

We had booked via social deal, we had little choice from the menu, it was tomato or zucchini soup, the main course consisted of 6 meals, but for a piece of tasty meat we had to pay an additional € 7.50 per person, for the vegetables was far below par, and half a potato was not enough for us, so we ordered fries and mayo, dessert was quickly decided, dame blanche or something tasty with coffee. After speaking to the staff about this, we did not have to pay the €15.00 surcharge The staff was understanding and friendly, but for us once and never again. What was supposed to be an evening out was completed in about 1.5 hours, and then we were outside again.

Tough meat (because the kitchen brigade has clearly not eaten cheese from grilling meat) with ice-cold sauce on top and unfriendly and unprofessional service. Only the boy with the glasses who has been working there for a long time is friendly, otherwise all arrogant people who don't even thank you if you decide to tip. Not recommended, even if you stay at the hotel.

Nice restaurant. Good food. Price is quite on the high side. The only downside is that there are few staff and it takes a long time before they ask if you need a drink or something else.

2 days of super delicious food in the restaurant! It wasn't super busy so we stopped by to check if everything was OK and for a quick chat. Definitely recommended if you stay at the hotel!

Among other things, she thought it was a strange question that we asked for extra mayonnaise and she emphatically stated that it would cost us extra 1.50 per container. Quiet, expensive but quite tasty. The service does not always realize that you want to order something.

Well, I was already afraid of it and even reported my fear in advance because of the bad reviews. Everything would be fine. The quality of the food is just good. We had a burger and chicken satay and there was nothing to complain about. Good meat, large portion and tasty fries. The restaurant is absolutely cozy! You can also say that all dishes include salad, but if they are in the same container as the Mayo you know enough.... But then the service. With all due respect, these are mostly young people, but not hosts or hostesses. The prices are really too high for this mediocre level. Too bad, we won't be back.

Dear Management of Fletcher hotel / Bar Bistro Duco, My sweet husband treated me to dinner tonight for my birthday. We just had dinner at Bar Bistro Duco. We entered an empty restaurant. The waiters and chefs were smoking outside. Someone from the service came in and asked us to sit in the lounge area because the restaurant area was already set up for the hotel guests' breakfast. We ordered something to drink and chose something from the menu. My husband had a mixed grill and I had a Madame steak (160 grams). The waitress was very friendly and welcoming. I also wanted some extra salad instead of fries and my husband wanted fries with dinner. The food was on the table very quickly. Too fast actually. There was a small steak on my plate. I doubt it was 160 grams. The grilled vegetables that were served were very snotty and the piece of corn on the cob was dry. The madame steak was described as tender. I asked this medium. I also got it medium, but it wasn't very tender. The extra salad I requested was served without dressing and the lettuce did not look very fresh. The sauce with the meat had a membrane left so it was not very fresh. My husband's mixed grill was the epitome of bad. The piece of pork medallion was very dry and no bigger than my thumb. The same was the piece of steak and it was also so well done that the sole of my shoe was even more tender. The spare ribs, which were described on the menu as "so cooked that the meat falls right off the bone", were impossible to cut through with a knife. We passed on our complaints/comments to the lady at the service and she neatly passed them on to the kitchen. They came up with a story that it was not the method of preparation but the quality of the meat, so it was the supplier's fault. So basically they are saying that they serve poor quality products. Of course, this is nonsense in our view. The quality of the meat was not very good but the preparation was really bad. Nice and easy for the chef to blame the supplier. We sat at the table at 7:10 PM and were outside again at 8:00 PM. An experience richer but an illusion poorer. The lady at the counter solved it nicely for us, but the amount we still had to pay was actually still too much. Management of Fletcher hotels and Bar Bistro Duco. I hope you do something with this comment. I don't want to say that you ruined my birthday, but it wasn't really fun or nice with you. Quite unpleasant with few guests due to the size of the property.

What a bad restaurant. A poor or actually no reception upon arrival and it took a while before we received a drink and a menu. There was a bad smell, a greasy smell, which was not pleasant. You should smell the Green Eggs, but that was not the case. The starter was downright bad. The Grilled Gambas looked more like shrimps and the Steak Tartare was dry and not prepared as described on the menu. A hard free-range egg on tartare??? After I returned the dish, because I just thought it was really bad, I got a "new" starter. To my surprise, I received the same egg back from my "old" starter and it was still not prepared as described. After a short discussion with the manager, it was jointly decided to discontinue the food. We won't be coming back here again. We know other Fletcher hotels whose restaurants are good, so that shouldn't be the problem.

Ordered a veggie burger, dry food tasteless, sweet potato fries tasty. Service nice and customer friendly. Fortunately, the citizens had a 50% discount, otherwise it would be a waste of money.

I sat at the bar for 30 minutes, no one asked if I wanted to order anything.

Price-quality ratio is hard to find. Mixed grill with a few pieces of meat... most of which are too dry. 2 bones. Spare ribs as dry as....., of which the website and menu actually state that the meat is off the range. Please indicate it neatly to the waitress, but without any form of feedback. €8.50 for 2 scoops of ice cream, which is on the menu as sorbet, is really the pinnacle. Been to several Fletcher hotels lately, so plenty of material for comparison.

I think it only gets busy when the local football club plays at home. Limited menu and the meat is overcooked. Not worthy of a second visit.

After the wellness in Mill we came here for dinner. Pleasantly surprised at how tasty it was. Highly recommended! Well seasoned and juicy meat on the green egg. You certainly don't have to leave the hotel to eat well. Staff also friendly and helpful!

Great food, nice service. Is next to a football stadium. Depending your taste in sports can be enjoyable/irritating. Although I didn't hear too much of what was going on on the field. And we had a lovely evening out.

The chicken with the starter was undercooked. That was taken for information. We ordered drinks and they were not brought with the excuse that it was busy. It was not yet half full, so if the restaurant is completely full, nothing will probably be served at all. Not worth repeating for us.

Super good and cozy food and drinks

Had dinner tonight at Restaurant Mister Nelson in Oss. My partner asked what kind of beer it was, waitress said: just beer! Turned out to be half a liter of 8.5% Belgian beer! We had to wait more than 15 minutes for the drink outside on the terrace. Then we were allowed to choose a table inside. The waiter asked: would you like something to drink while we had already ordered a bottle of rosé from him. The food was delicious, nothing to complain about and good quality. However, the entourage leaves much to be desired. There was no candle lit on the table, there was no clearing up after the main course, so we had to eat dessert on a table that was still full. There was no attention for the guests even though it was not busy in the restaurant. Again, the food very good. The service and entourage leave quite a few gaps. Shame! Hence the rating of only 2 stars.

Modern looking restaurant. For the price asked, the quality could be higher. A dessert is usually the highlight of a meal, but if you get a dry apple pie with a scoop of strawberry ice cream, this is a disappointment.

Good food and friendly service, who also speak some German. The food is served on wooden boards, which means that meat juice or the like can spill onto the table. The view of the adjacent soccer fields and the garbage collection point is not that great. The inside of the restaurant is modern and cozy, with an open kitchen. The bread basket is filled with very tasty bread and three dips/oil/butter, but you should note that it is not free, as is often the case in Germany. Personally, I find it a bit expensive.
