Food was delicious, staff was a little slow. Took half an hour to receive our desserts after finishing our main dish.

We had an incredibly delicious meal consisting of very nice, creative dishes! And even the gluten-free vegan in our party had choices and enjoyed their meal. The service was knowledgeable, patient, cheerful, and humorous. We had a fantastic evening and a wonderful meal.

Last night I had dinner at Loev Hengelo with girlfriends. I indicated multiple times, both online and in person, that one of us has a nut and peanut allergy. I even asked again when the food was brought. Everything was supposed to be nut and peanut-free. During the meal, we discovered that there were peanuts in it. We pointed this out. The reaction to the allergy was a bit nonchalant, and we received no apology. We were simply served the new peanut-free dishes. The cutlery on the table was also not clean. Bad experience. The food was tasty.

We had a delicious meal here yesterday (4-course menu). All the dishes looked tip-top and tasted super tasty! It was almost completely full, so you really need to make a reservation. There were two people serving. The staff really did their utmost to work hard. As a result, it sometimes took quite a while before we received the next course. There was an hour and 15 minutes between the starter and the intermediate course. This was perhaps also the peak time when most people came in. After ordering drinks for the first time, we were not asked again if we wanted anything else to drink. A shame for the revenue. We sat on the terrace and it was a pleasant place to sit. Nice decor and beautiful interior.

We had a fantastic evening at Bar Bistro Loev in Hengelo. The food was excellent, surprising, and super delicious. A big shout out to Joppe! What a great guy! He enthusiastically and professionally takes new staff under his wing in a very respectful way! It was wonderful to see him. We'll definitely be back!

Praise for Loev. Yesterday we went to Loev for dinner thanks to a Social Deal offer. They don't normally have these on a Saturday, so this was a bit of a stroke of luck. We were seated in the front of the extension, which I was a bit skeptical about, but it was a pleasant experience. The only downside this evening, but that's a personal matter, was the use of the digital menu. When I dine out with my significant other, I want to minimize phone use, and this just automatically forces you both to check your phone again. We started with the Oonk Brood van Butter (Bread from Oonk) which wasn't included in the Social Deal. For our appetizer, we had the spicy Korean steak tartare and the pulled chicken salad. The entrée is standard with the Social Deal: Crispy Taco with Vietnamese Chicken. For our main course, we had the Boneless Ribs and the Slow-cooked Beef Steak. The latter carries an additional €3.50 charge. This is also clearly stated in the Social Deal. For dessert, we had the Pornstar Martini and the Drunk Lemon Cake. Everything, from the bread to the dessert, was truly delicious. There was a young lady working who was really busy, but passionate about serving every table. She truly provided excellent service and hospitality. When paying, we checked the receipt. We discovered that a 0.5L Birra Moretti on the digital menu costs €7.20, but was actually charged at €9.90. Now, it's not about the price, but about the principle. I mentioned this to the waitress, and she resolved it very politely. One small final note: the Social Deal doesn't include a salad on weekends. Not a big deal, but something to keep in mind :)

The for is very good and the staff is always around. It was a lovely meal and good drinks. Lovely atmosphere.

Tonight, back to Loev again, it's been a long time. Bread roll as a starter, tasty. Then I chose 2 hot dishes: beef brisket and chicken taco, with some fries as a side order. The beef brisket was cold; I pointed this out, it was picked up properly, and it was supposed to be replaced. Then the taco; well, unfortunately cold too. I pointed it out and got the answer that it's supposed to be like that, it's lukewarm! I pointed out again no, it is cold. The next person said, it's supposed to be like that, lukewarm. Again no, it is cold. Okay, he takes it away. Unfortunately, I hear behind me (I am sitting with my back to the bar) the staff discussing amongst themselves that it is lukewarm. And it is supposed to be. Very annoying since I had indicated that the food was cold. I have always been taught that you do not argue with your customer and certainly do not talk about him or her in front of the entire restaurant. Eventually, a young man politely brought new food, with apologies for the inconvenience. He handled this properly, and I pointed this out as well. Dessert: Porn Star Martini Signature. Dessert, AMAZING! Highly recommended! When paying, the same young man politely asked if everything was okay in the end. Yes, it was fine in the end. However, this is not how it should be! We had a delicious four-course weekend meal, and it was perfectly prepared. As always, they were tasteful works of art.

The beer was gone. And much more, everything was gone: the guest towels, candlestick, blanket chest, silver dresser, duvet with Willem-Alexander and Maxima on it. Just everything, not normal. Everything else tasted good, I don't remember dessert yet. They asked how long I waited for a table... well, it didn't come to me, so it was long. And my family was late too. (10 minutes later) I did have a quick meeting with my other personalities. Regarding the wait for the table; we'd like to come back to that. It wasn't too bad; I ordered today and it was delivered yesterday. Great service! For further furniture choices, I definitely recommend it! Great furniture store. Best, Grandma Ria

Readers' menu. The food was very tasty: salmon carpaccio, beef stew, and a delicious dessert with cinnamon ice cream, among other things. Very tasty. It was just a bit chilly in the restaurant...

Reservations seem to be recommended when eating here. The food was good, but sometimes it was just a tad too salty or had too much mayo for my liking. The Asian oysters and the dessert were very nice and overall it was good, but not quite remarkable. We had a great time, the temperature outside was great, and the cocktail menu was decent (containing non-alcoholic cocktails as well), the wine was very non-remarkable. I had both red and white wines that had no body in terms of flavour, when they should have been rich and heavy to match the food (felt like the wine/food combo did not elevate one another, this is why I am giving the food 3 stars). There were a few small things worth noting: the restaurant has a 2nd floor, this was not mentioned online otherwise I would have mentioned at the time of reservation that my company was of age and therefore preferred something downstairs (it was resolved, but if busy I can understand that switching tables can be an issue). There was no real place to hang your coat, which I found rather annoying, not just because it meant everyone had their coats hanging on their chair, but I had a long and nice coat and hanging it over my chair meant it would be lying on the ground. I had it on my lap the entire time, which was not ideal either when eating (bread crumbs etc), they offered to put it in an alleyway somewhere in the outside area, but I didn't feel comfortable with that. Lastly, the menu being fully digital, I understand why this is a choice, but when you eat out with people less tech savy, then it takes away from the fine dining experience because you have to check the menu on your phone.

Unfortunately, we were served by a very unfriendly young woman! The mojito was served warm, which is obviously not the point of cocktails. Otherwise, the location was very nice, and the other drinks and snacks were also good.

Two years after our disappointing experience, we returned last weekend. This time for just drinks. Our new experience was even more disappointing than the previous one. The waitress seated us at a dirty table with all sorts of food scraps on the floor. After taking our order for six people, only three drinks were delivered correctly. A second attempt resulted in two weizen drinks. We hadn't ordered those either. Then, after a while, the drinks we ordered did arrive in two separate deliveries. When we asked to order something, we were directed to a QR code. Unfortunately, we couldn't order using that code either. We simply left the snacks. When we paid the bill, the two incorrectly delivered weizen drinks were still on the bill. Never again for Loev.

The food was truly delicious and the staff were friendly! Thanks to the glass, you can also sit outside (even when it's raining or cold).

The food was fantastic! We had the 5-course menu; highly recommended! The service was very friendly, the food was served promptly, and they were genuinely pleased with our compliments. Our seating preference was taken into account; we were assigned a quiet spot. We're looking forward to the next (monthly?) 5-course menu ;-)

We waited over half an hour to order drinks. We then waited another hour or so to order our food. The food was delicious, but very small and expensive for a single portion. The price-quality ratio wasn't really there. The staff was friendly, but it was a shame it took so long. We also received the wrong main course than we ordered. After that, we had to wait another fifteen minutes, even though my partner had already finished eating and his food was also served lukewarm. So, we won't be returning to Loev.

Come for the food, not the service.

I ordered Paloma and my friends ordered aperol and beer. The Paloma looks and taste just like lemonade with Teq. Chair isnt good for long sitting.

Japanese/Indonesian fusion in a modern jacket, delicious dishes and it looks beautiful. Pieces of art with so many different flavors in one! I had the Chef's Favorites menu, what a feast! Shared with my husband because together with the delicious rendang croquettes for us more than enough

A veeeeeeeel very long wait pfffffff. Almost an hour and a half to the main course. Also forgot the main course of 1 person while we had already finished it, they brought it from our son. The cutlery was also dirty. When paying, they put 1 extra coke on top, I said to my husband maybe instead of the sparkling water, but no, they had not forgotten that. Never again for us. The boys in the service were very friendly... But we are used to much better.....

Perhaps it was the expectations, because they were a bit higher than the experience. The food tasted great and the pointed cabbage with rendang herbs is really recommended! But the fries and sauce are a (too) strong base, also in proportion to the price. What a wonderful restaurant, beautiful in design and, in my opinion, very atmospheric and cozy. The people who work there are very hospitable and friendly. As for the food, a big 10! What delicious dishes and beautifully presented. You can scan a QR code on the table to view the menu. Your order will be taken at the table. Both vegetarian main courses were no longer available at 8am. There was plenty of room, but the five of us were still seated at a table of four. Really not recommended for the price. The food was good and the service was nice, but there were just too many mistakes. Not recommended.

The cappuccino did not come with a saucer, sugar or spoon. After comments this was resolved with difficulty.

We left here before we could order because of the rude service. The clumsy and pedantic way of addressing his guests, the misplaced arrogance... no, then you have not understood the catering industry. We have never experienced this, anywhere!

The service was very friendly and explained what we were served with each dish! What a hit! The Christmas menu was a special journey in terms of food and we thoroughly enjoyed it!

We have now eaten here for the 3rd time on Christmas Day. Every time we are pleasantly surprised with the delicious dishes we are served, compliments!! The service was excellent and each dish was explained to us as to what it contained and the appropriate wine. The food looked beautiful, but the steak tartare was minced too much and I didn't think all dishes were equally tasty. I also had to get used to the concept of a kind of tapas, but with larger dishes. Good atmosphere and service!

The service level at the average MacDonalds is better and faster! They messed up everything except the dishes themselves, which were quite fine. Even after we expressed our dissatisfaction, nothing changed. Apparently people here are not interested in whether the guests have a positive experience or not. For me this was once, never again.

Expensive food shed; It is better to skip this restaurant. Food was only served after 1.5 hours, even though we arrived at 8:00 PM. I managed to forget my ordered drinks 3 times. When I reported it, I noticed little empathy for the situation and got the impression that this was a routine occurrence. This restaurant really misses all the marks. Really unbelievably bad.

I,m going to be honest , the food is good no complaints there. We reserved a table at 20.00 we chose some different dishes , and they told us that it would be better to serve them out at moment where the cold and warm dishes would get dishes out at the same time. This is not a problem up until the problem arrived that they mentioned that the kitchen is only open untill 21:30 and at 21:10 a part of our entourage still had not received their first part of the chosen dishes ....... Now we don't even have time to order the next parts of our meal , and the staff had not mentioned to us that the kitchen would close this early ...... For another point of discussion , their drink service is very slow quite forgetful and to the part of ridicule just bad. Quite a classic comedy but a bad restaurant.

Loev is an asset for us in Hengelo for lunch and dinner. The nice, committed host made us feel welcome! Delicious food! Nice atmosphere. We will definitely come back.

Ate here yesterday. The food was really tasty and beautifully prepared. Portioning also more than sufficient and we also found the setting in which you sit very cozy. A point of criticism is the service; they walk along the table with blinders on. Furthermore, it was neat and nice, but in our opinion it could have been a lot better.

Absolutely amazing food and staff. They were super sweet and gave great recommendations. My friend and I went on a game day so it wss pretty empty (yay). I ordered the steak tartarte and krotten 50/50 meal with a pornstar ( alocholic) drink and the Loev fries with the cheese and chives sauce and it was amazing. If there is something you mudt get here, let it be the fries!!! I do not speak dutch but the servers also know English and German!

A specialty beer, a tripel from a can??? And also pay €7 for that? Food in very small portions. Something different for me next time

Good atmosphere and inviting outdoor seating area. The food was great, recommend the spitskool and rendang.The digital menu, via QR, was not to my liking, as the menu was difficult to navigate and bothersome to keep using my phone during dinner and conversations. As well as the water bottle being overpriced at €6.50.

We will definitely come back, but for our own choices.

We hebben een heerlijk verrassingsmenu gehad wat een beetje uit onze comfortzone was. We hadden er echter geen spijt van. Leuk en vriendelijk personeel die elke gang prima uitleggen. Door de drukte hebben we best lang op ons drinken moeten wachten, maar dat was dan het enige kritiekpuntje.

Je krijgt hier bijzonder lekker eten en bijzonder mooi opgemaakt, grotendeels Aziatisch georiënteerd. Bestel afzonderlijk gerechten om daarna met elkaar te delen om zoveel mogelijk smaken te proeven. Bestel ook gewoon één of twee side dishes erbij want het zijn wat kleinere gerechten. Bediening vlot en oké. Niets aan te merken? De muziek staat een tikkeltje te hard en de tafels en stoelen zijn wat te klein en te wiebelig. Het tafeltje direkt bij de deur is niet prettig. De prijzen zijn bovengemiddeld maar daar krijg je ook wel wat voor.

Heerlijk gegeten hier! Verrassende smaak combinaties, vriendelijk personeel en een gezellige sfeer. Wat wil je nog meer!

Heerlijk gegeten en gezellig gezeten. Een fantastische eet belevenis, vol enthousiasme aan tafel toegelicht door de vriendelijke medewerkers. Het was van grote klasse en we hebben van een top diner mogen genieten hier!

Wat een vondst! We kwamen naar Hengelo (vanuit Utrecht), voor een concert. En zochten toen naar een restaurant om te eten en hadden bingo 😍 Heerlijk gegeten met top service (zeldzaam in NL!)💪🏻 Het enige minpuntje was dat t wat tochtte binnen. Heerlijke Aziatische gerechten met een twist, echt een aanrader. Ook tof dat ze hun eigen softijs maken, ook met een twist. Dat mochten we even proeven en daardoor hadden we bijna geen trek meer in een toetje, maar toch maar wel besteld, t stroopwafel dessert, ook een topper. Ik ben niet de makkelijkste met eten en heb zelfs dingen, qua groente etc gegeten, die ik normaal niet zo snel lekker vind en zou eten. Dat is een groot compliment! De sukade lapjes hadden een lekkere smaak, maar voor onze smaak toch net iets te hard/krokant. Leken wel gefrituurd bijna!? En de kroepoek (vooraf) mocht iets verser zijn.

Na een vorige keer een 4 gangen menu te hebben gegeten (echt subliem), nu van de kaart besteld. Gerechtjes die we met elkaar deelden (vraag gewoon twee bordjes). Heerlijke gerechtjes en wat een smaakexplosie. Super vriendelijk en relaxed personeel. Na Loev in Deventer en Hengelo te hebben bezocht, op naar Loev Enschede.

Heerlijk gegeten !!!! Stuk voor stuk fantastische en bijzondere gerechten om van te smullen. Zeer vriendelijke en aardige bediening. Geweldig genoten! Het enige wat ik miste was een echte menukaart. Op je telefoon de menukaart bekijken vind ik toch wat minder chic.

Lekker eten, nette toiletten. Jammer dat je eten niet via QR kan bestellen, drankjes wel. Koreaanse kip was erg lekker. Beperkte bierkeuze. Buiten gezeten miste daar wat sfeer, muziekje zou leuk zijn. Zeer vrie delijke bediening.

Een avond heerlijk genoten bij Loev Hengelo. Met 5 personen hebben we hier heerlijk gegeten. Mooie gerechten, prachtig opgemaakt en met veel én verrassende smaken. Sharing is hier echt perfect te doen en is men helemaal op ingesteld. Wij kozen voor een selectie uit snacks, sides en koude en warme gerechtjes: Gyoza fried dumplings, gambabrood, Balinese Sate Ayam, Madras cauliflower, Loev frieten, Korean fried fish en de krokante taco’s. Als desserts waren de homemade Panadncake en de Lemoncurd tartelette favoriet en een mooi geserveerde heerlijke dubbele espresso maakte het helemaal af. Een avond genieten in optima forma. Gelukkig komt Loev dit najaar ook naar Enschede. Nu al mijn favoriete restaurant op loopafstand. Loevely!

Sinds wanneer is het gewoon om gefrituurde meelwormen als garnering te gebruiken zonder dat te vermelden. Heel heel fout. Het eten was lekker, maar zeker niet speciaal, hele vlakke smaken die niets met de oosterse benaming te maken had. Bediening is uitermate goed en vriendelijk, maar voor ons nooit weer.
