Worst entry to Amsterdam ever! Worst waitress on earth threw a menu at us on the table. Supposed person in charge refused to look at the footage after my outrage! Ever been to a restaurant where the waiters are trying everything in their power not to serve you! That’s the experience we had!

The location is fantastic, yet it doesn't excel in atmosphere or coziness. Of course, this is a completely subjective assessment.

Nice place, easily manageable with the patio heater. As a non-smoker, it's just not great that smoking is allowed everywhere on the patio. It would be better if this area were separated.

We received a very warm welcome when we arrived; luckily there was still room. It did take a while before we got the barmaid's attention; she was busy with a work meeting with the other staff member. I thought €4.30 for a three-quarter-full vase was a bit pricey. But otherwise, it's a very pleasant place.

I went there after my breakfast, they do not service coffee, only for breakfast. Then I went afternoon time for lunch, they service only drinks, kitchen was closed. Therefore I was staying in a hotel nearby, coffee and foods in my hotel was wonderful, I do not need to try another local restaurant during my stay in Amsterdam. I believe they have a nice service which I could not try, but the owner having this limited time for coffee and/or diner is not suitable for tourist in this city.

I understand the intention behind differentiating the lunch and dinner service. However, the plates used at lunch were so small that it was uncomfortable to eat from them. We all experienced noticeable discomfort after the meals. Our assumption is that something may have been off, possibly the meat? The frying oil being overused/the mayonnaise not being entirely fresh? Lastly, while the rest of the staff were pleasant, the interaction with the tall staff member with dark hair tied back felt tense. She appeared visibly stressed, and this came through both at our arrival and during the meal, which made the atmosphere feel a bit odd. Based on the above, we do not plan to return to Lempicka.

I give it a 1star because of the greediness. The servers were nice, the food was okay (besides a legit uncooked burger in the middle). But damn, we had gyros, and the pita was not included (+2€), and when asked for, arrived late. How can you sell a gyros without pita? Greediness. At lunch, the gyros comes with a pita, but not for dinner. the fries were small, and they were 5€ for a portion separate of the burger, which was also mini, for 14,2€. It’s not that hard to be a hospitable environment, don’t charge for each pinch of salt.

We arrived at 12:30 and had to ask if we could order drinks, which didn't arrive for another 15 minutes. After 30 minutes, we asked if we could order food. Unfortunately, the staff only spoke English, so they didn't understand. We had to ask again if we could order, but finally, we were able to, and the food arrived. The food was decent, but not great. The mayo and mustard were discolored, and the bread was dry. We weren't asked once if we wanted another drink, and when our plates were cleared, no one asked if everything was to our liking. We left at 2:00 PM and walked to the cash register ourselves because there was no interaction with the staff.

A great place for a spot of lunch and a conversation.

Had a delicious lunch. The plates looked beautiful. Good portions. The staff was also super helpful and fast. I thought it was a place you could easily bring your parents to, haha.

Worst service I have ever seen. We couldn’t sit with 5 people because of the “policy”. They dont wanna earn money. I will never go back to this place.

In a place with ample space, we weren't allowed to have five people at a table: management's policy is a maximum of four. The service was completely unhelpful and unfriendly; there were plenty of opportunities to help us. We'll never come back.

Had dinner with a group of friends on Friday night. It's a shared dining concept. That was also great with the six of us. The food was delicious, and plenty of it! The drinks arrived quickly, and ordering the food went smoothly. We had a lovely and enjoyable evening 😄

We received beer in warm glasses and a warm pitcher, which made it a bit less enjoyable. Service was otherwise excellent. I would definitely go back for a drink.

We and others were sent away on a busy night. I believe there was enough space but they don't want you to stand in front of the bar as personnel cannot get around.

The restaurant is in a beautiful location, delicious food, very cute and friendly staff!

The atmosphere is nice, but the food is truly terrible. Almost every dish seems to consist more of mayonnaise than food itself. I was even sick for two days after my visit. The fries look good at first glance, but believe me: better not touch them. As with many of these bars, the food is mainly touristy, American-style: lots of grease, poor quality, and way too expensive for what you get. My advice: have a beer, but don't touch the food.

We had a great time at Bar Lempicka this afternoon! The blond guy with the center parting gave us excellent service, fast, responsive, and attentive too! I'll definitely be back. This is how it should be in an Amsterdam café. The guy with the curly hair was also a hard worker.

It's a nice place but after being seated and waiting for over 15 minutes was a bit too much don't you think? We waved down an employer and after taking our order it took nearly a hour for the food to arrive we all left with a méh feeling and experience.

One of the best corners in and around Amsterdam to have some nice beers and eat some authentic bites. Bottled beer options are somewhat more than draft ones. It is such relaxing to sit outside either for a date or with a group of people. Schrimp crockets are must try, truffle frites are also super tasty. Better make your reservation beforehand on sunny days.

Excellent food, but disinterested staff and mediocre service.

Nothing special: menus are filthy, fries were seasoned well, but oil definitely needs to be changed. Skimped on the mayo, and all a bit pricey. Lovely service and tasty Paloma pitcher added a star back.

I ate inside for 30 minutes and wasn't helped. Later, I sat outside for 15 minutes and again, I wasn't helped.

We had a nice meal on the terrace. Very fast service!

Had coffee and drinks here. Coffee outside, drinks inside due to the crowds. Inside, you weren't allowed to choose your own seat, even though there wasn't a "reserved" sign on the table. Mediocre. We were now seated at a small table crammed in the middle, while we would have preferred to sit by the window or wall where there was plenty of room. The food was good.

Coffee, a cup of "Hague" in Amsterdam (half full). The fries were okay with half a container of mayonnaise. €6. Due to a diet, I got an "uitsmijter" (bread sandwich) without bread. That was 3 eggs, a slice of ham/cheese, and due to a lack of empathy, nothing more, not even a lettuce leaf. Paying, 2 coffees, fries, and an "uitsmijter" (bread sandwich) without bread... €25.90. And then they look at you for an extra tip?????NOT Welcome to Amsterdam! Ugh!

Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff in a beautiful area. So far, there's absolutely nothing to complain about, and it deserves 5 stars. BUT the portions (we had two burgers) are so small for the price that it's almost funny. But it's not, since you're spending a lot of money there.

Way too much food for two people

I happened to find myself heading to Bar Lempicka. Sitting down at the counter seat bathed in soft lighting, I felt time pass a little more slowly. I took a sip of my cappuccino. It was surprisingly mellow, with a gentle bitterness and the sweetness of milk quietly seeping into my soul. It was like a drink saying "thank you for your hard work" at the end of a long day. The beer was a little bitter. But perhaps the magic of this space is what made this bitterness feel strangely comforting. It was an evening like that, where I felt like I was facing the stillness within me as I savored the afterglow. It's a place that makes you want to drop in alone again.

We went to the bar after a long day, it was so lovely! We got some drinks and the bartender Tim was the nicest guy ever! I would highly recommend this place!

Surprisingly fun! The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly!

This only concerns drinks. I can't comment on the food. The service is terrible; you can't wait for anything. The staff stands around chatting away and struggles to come after you have to ask twice. If I were the owner, I would know what to do.

Slechte service. Uur gewacht op ons eten, vervolgens (na navragen of het eten al klaar was) was het koud. Ook natgeregend tijdens het eten aangezien het luik/overkapping niet naar beneden kon. personeel maakte het weinig uit of je natgeregend werd, ze boden geen andere plekken aan (terwijl die er wel waren) Bij het afrekenen aangegeven dat het niet naar wens was en het werd weg gelachen. Heb ondanks dit alles de volle prijs moeten betalen. Nooit meer!

The burger was the best burger I have ever had. It was the juiciest, saltiest, creamiest burger in the entire world. Absolutely perfect. Unfortunately, the chairs were very uncomfortable and it was very hot inside.

De uitstraling van de tent is top! De bediening werkte hier echter niet aan mee. We kwamen nog even een afzakkertje drinken om kwart voor twaalf. Na 10 minuten op bediening gewacht te hebben kwam er een jongen naar ons toe om te zeggen dat we met z’n drieën aan de naastgelegen tafel moesten zitten vanwege de buren. Vervolgens kauwgomkauwend niet gevraagd of we alvast wat wilden drinken. Na weer 10 minuten gewacht te hebben liepen we maar zelf naar de bediening toe om een cocktail te bestellen, die we al 20 minuten daarvoor in ons hoofd hadden, maar de cocktails waren sinds twaalf niet meer verkrijgbaar (staat trouwens niet op de menukaart) . Om 00:12 werden we geholpen, maar was het wel gelijk de laatste ronde. Prima, maar geen lekkere zit als je al bijna een halfuur op bediening wacht. Bier was prima, maar hadden Brand besteld en kregen Amstel. Jammer. Na gezien te hebben dat de bediening naast ons met oortjes in het terras op ging ruimen en op z’n mobiel ging zitten, was het wel tijd om ook gelijk af te rekenen. Waarschijnlijk hadden ze d’r geen zin meer in, maar dat haalden onze zin in een afzakkertje ook wel weg.

Lempicka is in the perfect spot right by the Amstel. We stopped for a quick break while wandering around Amsterdam in the sun. It was pretty busy, but the service was still quick. Chill vibe, would definitely come back!

Recently me and my friends had a great night there. We sat at the bar where the curly bartender served us one of the best cocktails in Amsterdam. If you want to stop by for a drink and a snack, this is the place to do it. I’ve also sat on the terrace before, and the combination of the sun, the canal and the music really gives the best summer vibes.

THE TUNA MELT HAS DOUBLED IN PRICE IN THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS. I'M DONE WITH BAR LEMPICKA.] I know the staff can sometimes be a bit up themselves here, but this is Amsterdam and Dutch service is a running joke, and for good reason — they (generally speaking) really don't give a damn about you, and sometimes actively seem to dislike you, before you've even opened your mouth. Today I got lucky though — the staff didn't spit at me and they served me what I reckon was the perfect tuna melt. The healthy energy drink I got though, was a complete rip-off, and not that great. What else? Not much. It is a lovely bar with a nice atmosphere and on a good day, a great place to sit and chill and grab a bite.

Incredible! We went there for dinner with our baby, and they treated us wonderfully. Despite our lack of English, we understood each other perfectly. The food is delicious. The best veggie burger I've ever had. I definitely recommend it to everyone.

Went in for a coffee and inside's near empty, when bartender, albeit polite enough,asked me and other patron to go sit at smaller tables, we both left....an example of being over zealous in your job, in my opinion

This bar is fantastic. It's close to our hotel so we've stopped by everyday for a drink and snack. The food is delicious and the plating is exceptional for bar food. Servers are friendly. The outdoor patio is lovely. Highly recommend.

Bar Lempicka opposite the Amstel Hotel in Amsterdam is highly recommended. The food is super good and delicious, and the service is top notch. A five star experience!

Erg koele en wat trage bediening. Fraai restaurant met redelijk eten tegen redelijke prijzen. Maar niet iets bijzonders en ook geen aanrader. De locatie is natuurlijk perfect.

We went here just before a concert in Caré Koninklijk Theater. Good was based on snacks and white wine. Just good. Not special. Atmosphere was wonderful and the service very kind. So, nice place for a quick bite and a drink.

What can I say, do you want to eat on the go? In a brasserie? In an affordable restaurant? Well, that’s not the right address. I don't recommend the mini burger without fries for more than €15 or the beef carpaccio with mayonnaise and fried bacon crumbs. I'm not picky but here it was...how can I put it...borderline edible.

Gran lugar en Sarphatistraat donde se encuentra con el río Amstel (justo enfrente del Hotel Amstel). Nos sentamos afuera y dividimos nuestro tiempo entre ver a los transeúntes y empaparnos en las conversaciones que nos rodeaban (es cierto que era difícil ya que estaban en holandés). También disfruté del vegano bitterballen - - delicioso! Un buen lugar para tomar una copa o reunirse con amigos.

Ambiente animado con asientos interiores y exteriores. Vinimos un martes por la noche con 5 personas, estaba muy ocupado, pero nos dieron una mesa fuera que era muy acogedor bajo calentadores al aire libre. Nos pareció que el servicio era muy amable, atento y rápido a pesar de la cantidad de mesas llenas. La comida era excelente y el tamaño de las porciones era generoso. A mis hijas les encantaban las patatas fritas y las patatas fritas de trufa, y a mi madre le encantaban los mejillones y la ensalada griega. La coliflor crujiente era tan deliciosa, al igual que el hummus y la pita. Muchas opciones vegetarianas. Bonita ubicación junto al río Amstel.

Lively atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating. We came on a Tuesday evening with 5 people, it was very busy but we got a table outside which was very cozy under outdoor heaters. We found the service to be very friendly, attentive and fast despite the number of full tables. The food was excellent and the portions were generous. My daughters raved about the sweet potato fries and truffle fries, and my mother loved the mussels and Greek salad. The crispy cauliflower was so delicious, as was the hummus and pita. Nice location by the Amstel River.

I loved the place!! The service was amazing and super friendly, the cocktails were to die for! Noah, Claire, leo, Chiara, Antonides and Roy are the best Dream team! We had so many questions but they were too patient and helpful.

I would like to express my dissatisfaction with my recent experience in your restaurant. Upon entering I asked where I could sit, to which I was answered: “Where you want.” However, after choosing a seat, shortly afterwards I was asked to get up and move to another table. I found this downright insulting, especially considering the fact that the place was virtually empty and there were almost no other guests present. It felt completely baseless and disrespectful. In addition, the service was extremely bad. What I found even more surprising was the way in which the few customers were handled. It seems like little effort was made to provide a good experience despite the low crowds.

We were here at 21:30 on a Saturday and were told they were not serving mixed drinks because the “bar was too busy”. As you can see in the photos, it was half empty. Really shoddy experience for what bills itself as a nice place.

We sat for 25 minutes waiting for anyone to come help us. I even went inside and asked if someone was coming out they said 5 minutes No one ever came out to the one side of the bar & there were many many tables not getting served. Great outdoor seating but 🤷🏼‍♀️

Had a great night at Lempicka. The curly bartender Noah made amazing cocktails for us. Really showed us the ins and outs of the art. Definitely we’ll visit again!!!

A lively place, which was very busy during our visit, but that created the right atmosphere. The food still came quickly, which was great. It's also very tasty. Only the feta cheese was a bit small and to be honest it was a bit expensive. The service was okay. Nothing special. All in all, you can definitely have a nice meal and drink there!
