Amazing place for a hang out and a drink! The service was exceptional with Noah at the bar navigating me through the drinks menu and helping me pick a suitable drink. And let me tell you how good this drink was!!! It was perfectly crafted to my liking, it almost felt as if we’d known each other for years. Will definitely be coming back

An ideal place to grab a bite to eat before a Carré performance. A cozy terrace if you enjoy a warm summer evening, and coolness inside. The Sangria was absolutely fantastic! The shared dining concept allows for a very varied menu, and the service staff is quick and friendly. A really nice, cozy spot.

If you get the chance to be served by Noah, take it. From the moment we sat down, his service was outstanding. Warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our evening great without ever hovering or rushing us. The man knows his craft. He read what we were in the mood for and paired our food and wine perfectly, steering us toward choices we never would have found on our own and getting every one of them right. Not a single miss all night. He didn't stop at the table either. He gave us a proper local's guide to Amsterdam, the spots worth seeing, where to go and what to skip, and every recommendation landed. It felt less like being waited on and more like being looked after by a friend who happens to be excellent at his job. Noah is the kind of person who makes you want to come back, and the reason we'll be telling everyone we know about this place. Hospitality like this is rare. If management is reading this: he has earned a raise, and then some. Give this man his due.

Had a beer on the terrace. It started to rain. And the awnings weren't allowed to be opened. We had ordered food and, to our surprise, no cutlery was provided. We had to eat it just like that. Absolutely ridiculous.

Nice place! We had made a reservation here in advance because we were going to a show at Carré that evening. The concept of sharing small dishes was very enjoyable and the food tasted delicious. What we remember most is the service: the Greek waiter who helped us was super friendly and made sure we were served quickly and efficiently. We had a lovely evening.

Although it's an interesting bar, right next to the canal and with a nice atmosphere, the service is terrible. We waited 15 minutes just to have our order taken, and there was no apparent order to the service. I think that in a city with so many restaurants and so much competition, they should really improve this aspect.

Last night, after an evening of ballet at Carré, we wanted to have a drink on the terrace. It was not clear to us that part of the terrace was closed. We sat down and ordered at the bar. Subsequently, a waitress came to tell us that this section was closed. Nevertheless, we agreed with her that we could stay seated for a moment. Later, she returned to ask if we wanted to move after all. We were willing to do so, but ultimately she decided it was no longer necessary: ​​we were allowed to stay. Ten minutes later, a colleague of hers came over in a very unfriendly tone to say that it was very annoying that we had sat there. She concluded with: "Enjoy your drink!" The fun was completely ruined for us. Our suggestion: Clearly indicate on the tables that it is closed and ensure good communication between colleagues.

First time visiting Amsterdam and we were walking in the area near the Rijksmuseum along 1 and 7 tram line. Happen to come upon Bar Lempicka and took a look at their menu and it seemed interesting. It's primarily a pub offering a relaxing atmosphere with a light menu of shareable small plate items, alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages (beer, wine,soda etc) and indoor or outdoor dining. We had the humus with pita bread , rib fingers and shrimp croque and a non alcoholic beverage which was just enough to satisfy 2 persons. We made a second visit days later and had humus, wings and shrimp with a Heineken on that occasion. I give them a thumbs up!

But I have to say, the tall blonde woman waitress is extremely rude, for this nice restaurant, her behaviour is really unacceptable. Please take this comment seriously as it is damaging your beautiful restaurant’s image.

What a lovely and authentic restaurant. The service was top-notch. Super friendly staff. And we enjoyed the shared dining. The Iberico rib fingers and the cauliflower were especially delicious. It was my first time, but certainly not my last. Highly recommended.

We got some wonderful food and service at Bar Lempicka. Well presented and super fresh. The shakshouka was divine and the owner was kind enough to ask the chef to tell us how they make it. And chef gave some helpful tips! The ambience was relaxing and beautiful. It really brightened our short visit to Amsterdam and was a great respite while we were exploring the city.

My friend & me went there on a rainy Saturday. We asked if our table could get cleaned since food leftovers were all over. The waitress did do so but didn’t say a word . When taking our order you almost felt like we were a burden . She said that the lunch card is already finished but she will ask. She never came back & after 35 minutes we asked if we still would get our food - but no …. Then it started raining and the couple next of us asked to turn the heater on. The attitude , the vibe and the service were just horrible and unfriendly. I just say it has been better in the past, but we left with an empty stomach & a cold the next day …. So I decided to share this rather unpleasant experience hoping they hire somebody who actually doesn’t seem to hate people lol

We went to this place for some dinner and drinks before the Standup in Carre. Don't make the same mistake - do not come here for the food. The menu says that it's "Mediterranean style" so you should order 2-3 dishes pp (which are all very expensive for the quality/quantity offered), but the actual size of the dishes given was much smaller. Blini in the menu are 4 very small and saggy looking pancakes 2 centimeters in diameter (!) for 17 euros. When I asked the waitress to change the order because the size and quality of the dish is unacceptable, she tried to convince us that this is our mistake to order it without checking. I guess it's my mistake for assuming blini should come in a size of more than 2 cm in diameter, or in general having expectations to eat at that place. The other dishes we ordered were also small, but at least more reasonable size (you can get full after 2-3 of them), but certainly not good taste or quality. For the money it costs it is the worst dining experience I had in Amsterdam. Genuinely the food and the service made me cry. Do not come here to eat.

I don't know the bar, but it was packed outside. We got a nice beer and some bitterballen (Dutch meatballs), and the service was excellent. We mostly sat in the sunshine with a lovely view. It's a great place.

After going several times for a coffee to go I can see that there is a lot of improvement in the staff, product and quality 👍👍👍

Worst entry to Amsterdam ever! Worst waitress on earth threw a menu at us on the table. Supposed person in charge refused to look at the footage after my outrage! Ever been to a restaurant where the waiters are trying everything in their power not to serve you! That’s the experience we had!

Nice place, easily manageable with the patio heater. As a non-smoker, it's just not great that smoking is allowed everywhere on the patio. It would be better if this area were separated.

We received a very warm welcome when we arrived; luckily there was still room. It did take a while before we got the barmaid's attention; she was busy with a work meeting with the other staff member. I thought €4.30 for a three-quarter-full vase was a bit pricey. But otherwise, it's a very pleasant place.

I went there after my breakfast, they do not service coffee, only for breakfast. Then I went afternoon time for lunch, they service only drinks, kitchen was closed. Therefore I was staying in a hotel nearby, coffee and foods in my hotel was wonderful, I do not need to try another local restaurant during my stay in Amsterdam. I believe they have a nice service which I could not try, but the owner having this limited time for coffee and/or diner is not suitable for tourist in this city.

I understand the intention behind differentiating the lunch and dinner service. However, the plates used at lunch were so small that it was uncomfortable to eat from them. We all experienced noticeable discomfort after the meals. Our assumption is that something may have been off, possibly the meat? The frying oil being overused/the mayonnaise not being entirely fresh? Lastly, while the rest of the staff were pleasant, the interaction with the tall staff member with dark hair tied back felt tense. She appeared visibly stressed, and this came through both at our arrival and during the meal, which made the atmosphere feel a bit odd. Based on the above, we do not plan to return to Lempicka.

A great place for a spot of lunch and a conversation.

I give it a 1star because of the greediness. The servers were nice, the food was okay (besides a legit uncooked burger in the middle). But damn, we had gyros, and the pita was not included (+2€), and when asked for, arrived late. How can you sell a gyros without pita? Greediness. At lunch, the gyros comes with a pita, but not for dinner. the fries were small, and they were 5€ for a portion separate of the burger, which was also mini, for 14,2€. It’s not that hard to be a hospitable environment, don’t charge for each pinch of salt.

We arrived at 12:30 and had to ask if we could order drinks, which didn't arrive for another 15 minutes. After 30 minutes, we asked if we could order food. Unfortunately, the staff only spoke English, so they didn't understand. We had to ask again if we could order, but finally, we were able to, and the food arrived. The food was decent, but not great. The mayo and mustard were discolored, and the bread was dry. We weren't asked once if we wanted another drink, and when our plates were cleared, no one asked if everything was to our liking. We left at 2:00 PM and walked to the cash register ourselves because there was no interaction with the staff.

Had dinner with a group of friends on Friday night. It's a shared dining concept. That was also great with the six of us. The food was delicious, and plenty of it! The drinks arrived quickly, and ordering the food went smoothly. We had a lovely and enjoyable evening 😄

We and others were sent away on a busy night. I believe there was enough space but they don't want you to stand in front of the bar as personnel cannot get around.

We received beer in warm glasses and a warm pitcher, which made it a bit less enjoyable. Service was otherwise excellent. I would definitely go back for a drink.

The restaurant is in a beautiful location, delicious food, very cute and friendly staff!

The atmosphere is nice, but the food is truly terrible. Almost every dish seems to consist more of mayonnaise than food itself. I was even sick for two days after my visit. The fries look good at first glance, but believe me: better not touch them. As with many of these bars, the food is mainly touristy, American-style: lots of grease, poor quality, and way too expensive for what you get. My advice: have a beer, but don't touch the food.

We had a great time at Bar Lempicka this afternoon! The blond guy with the center parting gave us excellent service, fast, responsive, and attentive too! I'll definitely be back. This is how it should be in an Amsterdam café. The guy with the curly hair was also a hard worker.

One of the best corners in and around Amsterdam to have some nice beers and eat some authentic bites. Bottled beer options are somewhat more than draft ones. It is such relaxing to sit outside either for a date or with a group of people. Schrimp crockets are must try, truffle frites are also super tasty. Better make your reservation beforehand on sunny days.

It's a nice place but after being seated and waiting for over 15 minutes was a bit too much don't you think? We waved down an employer and after taking our order it took nearly a hour for the food to arrive we all left with a méh feeling and experience.

Nothing special: menus are filthy, fries were seasoned well, but oil definitely needs to be changed. Skimped on the mayo, and all a bit pricey. Lovely service and tasty Paloma pitcher added a star back.
