An excellent bar to enjoy exquisite, perfectly crafted cocktails. The waiters are not only attractive but also friendly, and the atmosphere is enchanting. They even serve drinks that aren’t on the menu. Highly recommended – especially the waiter!

Great spot. Bartender made me an off-menu cocktail to suit my personal taste. Very skilled and professional. Kid friendly, less touristy, and right in the cycle path for great people watching.

Amazing bar with great cocktails (including highballs). Both, the alcohol free and alcoholic cocktails taste great. The platter with cheese and co. and the other snacks we tried were all good. We went during the day so it was not that crowded but I can imagine that it can get full quite fast in the evening. Barkeepers/service are very polite and provide good advice

We had a cocktail workshop for 2 people which was an amazing experience! Rodney is a great barman and cocktail maker. We learned a lot from him and made different type of cocktails. He put a lot of effort and time into teaching us and making sure we had a great time. Would totally recommend.

A cocktail bar that does not have classics on the menu and does not want to make them on request. The owner has indicated that he would like to be unique in his cocktails. So if you are looking for a mojito, caipirinha, Cuba libre, Long Island ice tea, etc. then this is not the place for you. (They did have Gin & Tonic, but in a highball glass instead of a bowl glass...) It is certainly unique, but not my thing.

What a wonderful experience! My girlfriend and I took our cargo bike to this cocktail bar, and it was definitely worth it. The staff was incredibly friendly and helped us perfectly in making a choice from the many options on the menu. The cocktails were fantastic, with surprising combinations. This will definitely be our new favorite place for a night out!

A wonderful place for.some afternoon cocktails. The guy looking after us and making our cocktails was so welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much for him. The cocktails are expertly crafted and there are lots of options. Would definitely recommend.

What a super fun cocktail making workshop we got from Joep. We really liked the sweet one. The boy from the bitter also did great! Too bad if you really don't like bitter. For 5 stars, please make sweet, sour or bitter cocktails. We will definitely come back for just sweet cocktails. And the manager is also great! Conclusion... Please only take sweet cocktails😃thanks for the nice afternoon!

NB! Served in (anonymous) BW (Beer Profit) glasses, known for fraud. You pay for a large glass (vase), but get the contents of a whistle (small glass) of 20cl. Ijwit is about 4.75 for 20cl - quite expensive! >Search Google/YouTube for 'scammed beer glasses npo3' Reported it to the, surprised, staff and got the difference in price back. Good for the next visitor to pay attention! Edit response: No explanation or free beer received, apparently there are more complaining customers.

Very cozy cocktail bar with nice and quick service. Nice terrace in front of the door where all kinds of things pass by and happen. Recommended! The Pornstar martini slush is especially brilliant.

Bar Olaf is an amazing place. Yesterday, on June 5th, Bauke's service and mixing were top notch. He's a great bartender and finds time to talk to clients between prepping drink!

The drinks were nice and food was okay, but unfortunate the service was not very good. We had to wait for the waiter to take our order twice for >30 min and, in the end, left instead of ordering another drink or more food.

Really lovely service and through it we could see the vibe that is being attempted, however we just came at a time it was super crowded and the cocktails we chose were not hitting the flavours expected. The 'Wat zit er onder je kilt?' cocktail tasted off. So I ordered another whiskey cocktail and thankfully that was nice. Just a bit too cramped and when you're sitting near the door and everyone keeps walking by you it's not so gezellig.

Very nice and fast service. You get water and a sweet at the end! What else do you want?! There are some menstrual products in the women's toilet, which is really nice! Top spot! Not super cheap, but there probably isn't one in the city

Good bar with lively interior and vibe. All and well, but cocktails where not up to price. Taste was little off and mixing might have been better. But would recommend as a good place for celebrations and colleague gatherings

Leuk café met lekkere cocktails en speciaal biertjes. Zorg wel dat je reserveert want het zit al snel vol hier.

Wat een top bar! Ik kom hier regelmatig met vrienden om een paar cocktails te drinken, maar na de whiskey proeverij van gisteren ga ik hier ook verschillende proeverijen proberen. Super toffe gasten die er werken met allemaal de kennis in huis om ons alles erover te vertellen. Mijn favoriete cocktailbar! Overigens is ook de pizza burrata één van mijn favorieten op de menukaart :)

Borrel georganiseerd in de oude Hooykist en dus nu Bar Olaf. Olaf (samen met Rodney) is een echte horecaman met oog voor detail. Alles werd top afgestemd en uitgevoerd. Bijna iedereen is aansluitend blijven eten en hoewel Bar Olaf geen volwaardig restaurant is (Bar Olaf is een ‘cocktail kroeg’), was het eten simpelweg fantastisch! Frietje Rendang, pizza burrata, allemaal top! Gewoon een aanwinst voor Leiden en een echte aanrader!

Bij Bar Olaf hebben we vier verschillende cocktails geprobeerd, helaas hadden we bij alle cocktails wel andere verwachtingen! De omschrijvingen komen niet helemaal overeen met de cocktails die geserveerd worden, ze waren een stuk zoeter en mistte net het extra’tje! Het personeel was erg vriendelijk en we werden goed geholpen!

Leuke bar! Knus en warm ingericht met een informele sfeer. De barmannen zijn erg vriendelijk en maken heerlijke cocktails. De kaart bevat verrassende combinaties met veel Mexicaanse invloeden. Net even de andere cocktails en ingrediënten dan je al kent, en allemaal goed in balans. Ook verzoeken buiten de kaart om zijn geen probleem en worden met een twist geserveerd. Eindelijk een goede cocktailbar in Leiden!

Best cocktail bar in Leiden. Period. (And updated a year later...still the best)

Like other Leiden restaurants, the food isn't great, but it's a hipster space with a great atmosphere and great and various beer. Fried foods also highlight the excellent taste of beer. It is recommended to eat outside in summer.

The cocktails are awesome. The crew was super kind and always available when needed. The preparation has been done quickly and was tasteful. The place to be to get nice cocktails/snacks and chill with partner or/and friends.

Bar Olaf is zonder meer een aanwinst voor Leiden. De cocktails zijn origineel en heerlijk. Het eten idem dito. In eerste instantie denk je: langs een drukke weg?!? Maar als je er eenmaal buiten zit, valt het geluid van het verkeer je niet meer op. Binnen is het sfeervol, de stoelen zitten prettig; er hangt mooie onconventionele kunst aan de muur.

Supergezellig, leuke bediening en goede cocktails. Bordspellen zijn echt een leuke toevoeging.

We zijn nu ongeveer 4 á 5 keer bij Bar Olaf geweest en we genieten enorm van de ongedwongen sfeer in combinatie met heerlijke cocktails of een fris biertje. De kaart veranderd ook regelmatig waardoor je steeds weer iets nieuws kunt proberen. De bijpassende hapjes zijn heerlijk en zorgen voor de (in onze ogen) perfecte setting in hartje Leiden.

Small plates of food we were not especially interested in. Nachos were probably microwaved and something a high school student could make. If you like cocktails, this might be more enjoyable.

Heerlijke cocktails, lekkere hapjes en onwijs vriendelijk personeel. We hebben heerlijk gezeten!
