My favorite place for takeout! Not only because of the fantastic food, but also because the people are so incredibly nice! We got takeout for a birthday, and this food made it perfect.

Fantastically delicious food, and it's always a treat to pick up the food. What lovely and friendly people :) Thanks again for the layer cake, we'll definitely be back for the next birthday celebration! I can't recommend Toraja House enough ;)

Nice seg dese! Enaak sedap. The first thing my dad does when he comes from Indonesia is eat here! He swears that the rendang is tastier than in Indonesia!

Toraja House is a small cozy shop. Friendly owners, Fina and Michiel. If you like rendang then you should definitely go to Toraja House. Service is good and yes, the atmosphere is very cozy and the shop is nicely decorated.

An easy escape when I am craving the local taste of my hometown during my study in the Netherlands. Lekker!

Indonesian store, Lady and Gentleman make all the dishes themselves. Were helped very kindly. We put together four meals. We all found these very tasty and fresh. Thank you and see you soon. 🤩

I can't say enough positive things about this restaurant. The food is authentic Indonesian, and me and my girlfriend get food here every month. It is so delicious that it is no problem at all that you can only pay with cash, also because there is an ATM machine next door at the Spar. The people who work there, Michiel and Fina, are incredibly nice people and we always have a chat. So far I have recommended all my friends to eat here, which meant that we ordered a huge order over the phone on King's Day. Despite the crowds, we were helped immediately and warmly welcomed. In short, you don't want to miss this!

On Liberation Day I finally had the chance to taste the flavors of Toroja House. Ladies were nicely dressed and friendly. I ordered 2 portions of Satay Ayam (chicken satay) I was disappointed from the first bite. Meat thoroughly cooked and then placed on the grill, slightly too black on the outside. The Satay sauce was also ready-made and had a smooth taste. I know it's a matter of taste, but I can understand that the Dutch people like it. But for the real Indo the taste is beyond measure. Too bad, I expected more. And I threw my portion of Satay into the trash.

This is a small Indonesian restaurant with all the essentials (because the store is relatively small, it can only be taken away). Many Dutch people go to it... My boyfriend and I also go there often because it is delicious and cheap! 😋 I usually eat chicken soup (with rice) which is about 8 euros. I think it’s just enough for someone like me who has a small appetite and likes to drink soup! Then there is the student meal in the set meal, which is only about 10 euros. It has one meat, one vegetable, one egg, plus rice or noodles. The portion is enough! 13 or 14 euros is two meats, two vegetables, one egg, plus rice or noodles, a generous portion! I can't finish it every time I order this 😂~ Every time I'm too tired to cook, this restaurant is our first choice. In addition, the boss is very nice and enthusiastic, and he can speak a word or two in Chinese haha! 👍 Ps. This shop only accepts cash💰. Remember to withdraw money before going. There is a supermarket nearby called Spar. There is an ATM inside where you can withdraw money (you can also deposit money)~ This is not an advertisement. I think the boss is nice and the price is good. Conscience, so I sincerely recommend! 🥰

The tastiest eatery in Leiden! For us, Toraja has become a synonym for not cooking. Nothing comes close... Moreover, they are very friendly and this is really authentic food.

The food is damn delicious with such a reasonable price! We ordered rames and Sate Ayam with lontong. There are many Indonesian restaurant in Leiden but I could say this place has the authentic taste like we had in Indonesia. Services also fast and friendly.

Lekker eten en heel aardig personeel. Smaken zijn echt Indisch en porties zijn ruim. Neem wel cash mee want pinnen kan (nu in ieder geval) niet.

Super lieve mensen die gewoon steengoed Indonesisch koken! Speciaal bij hen besteld en mee naar Gent genomen, om dus thuis te kunnen genieten vh eten. Mijn zus en ik waren op stadsbezoek in Leiden en passeerden meermaals voorbij Toraja house. De geuren waren zodanig aanlokkelijk dat we koste wat kost afhaal wilden meenemen naar huis. Het was het wachten waard! ;)

Lekker! Je kiest twee groentegerechten, twee vleesgerechten en je krijgt een ei erbij. Aanrader is zeker de aubergine! Pin betalingen zijn helaas niet mogelijk - dat is een dingetje om rekening mee te houden.

Superbe expérience. La tante et son neveu cuisinent extrêmement bien et cela fait très longtemps que je n'avais pas eu l'occasion de parler avec qq'un qui parle aussi bien l'indonésien tout en étant pas indonésien ! Les yeux fermés je me serai cru en Indonésie : mêmes odeurs de nourriture et même accent/intonations dans les échanges.

Leuke toko maar niet echt Indonesisch. Smaken zijn een beetje flauw. Het lijkt eerder de Chinese keuken. Het komt helaas niet in de buurt bij Surakarta. Wel een aanwinst voor de buurt. Alles ziet er verzorgd uit en vriendelijk personeel!

The Taste Is Super Traditional Delicious....

Héérlijk eten; niet te zout, niet te zoet, niet te vet, hele mooie smaaksensaties. Lieve en gastvrije mensen ook; echt een aanrader! En veel te kiezen voor mensen die liever geen vlees eten.

Lekker eten, aanwinst voor Leiden aangezien wij die anderen allemaal te zout/vet/suikerig vinden. Medium qua spiciness, voor de beginner doable en voor de gevorderde tokoganger aan de milde kant. Mensen die op zoek zijn naar een vervanger van Bungamas sinds deze nieuwe eigenaren en recepten heeft: pindasaus is nice, maar niet met de limoenbladsmaak van Bungamas. Had wel ernstig de behoefte een tweede keer op te scheppen, dus dit is een blijvertje!

Ondanks dat je er niet (meer) kan pinnen ga ik zeker weer terugkomen! Wat heb ik heerlijk gegeten! Dankjullie wel 😋😄

Een afhaalpareltje in de Herenstraat. Geen thuisbezorgd of andere scooters voor de deur. Goed eten voor een mooie prijs: voor ongeveer 12,50 krijg je echt een riante portie. Let op, je kunt hier niet pinnen dus eerst even langs flappentap in de Spar of in de Douzastraat.

Heerlijkste comfortfood, met boeboer ketan hitam, mijn favoriete Indo toetje , yeahhh! 😋

Onvriendelijke atmosfeer, waarbij je je stem moet verheffen over de stuitermuziek, om te bestellen. Menu is niet logisch; geen saté-menu. Eten zelf smaakt saai (zout). Conclusie: de indonesiër op de hooigracht is vele malen beter.

As a Malaysian, their beef rendang is a must try. Food is very good also pricing is good too. Will come back each time I am back in Leiden.

Gezellig Indonesisch afhaal. Goed geprijsd en goed van smaak. Heel fijn personeel dat heel vriendelijk is.

Dit is zeker een aanrader. Het is niet te vergelijken met de plaatselijke Toko, het eten is er zeer smaakvol en je proeft gewoon dat het met liefde bereid is 😄😋

Origineel en lekkere maaltijden.

Heerlijk Indonesische maaltijden. Elke keer weer een feestje. Je kun zelf een basis uitzoeken, zoals gele rijst of gebakken rijst. Dan kies je uit een aantal groenten, vlees en tofu. Zij maken het voor je warm als je dat wilt. Hun saté is ook verrukkelijk.

Heerlijk eten, niet duur en zeer vriendelijke mensen. Een aanwinst voor de buurt!
