absolutely ridiculous. i am writing in behalf of my grandparents who are unable to write a google review. they ate at this place on the 21st of september, during lunch time and the lady that was serving them was indonesian, probably the owner or staff (no idea). however, this lady was extremely RUDE to my grandparents who approached and spoke to her with nothing but RESPECT. my grandparents are both indonesian as well and they were really happy to find an indonesian restaurant at leiden because they missed the food back home, and the lady who was on the counter desk / cashier beside the foods storage or whatever they call it, was certainly, UNWELCOMING. for more details of what happened, my grandpa asked her where she was from back in indonesia, just as a basa basi (respectful small convo) and he was rlly happy to meet fellow indonesian and the lady was extremely ignorant toward them, showing no sign of hospitality. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST. then my grandma was also tryna hold her piss nd asked the lady if she could use the toilet. and the lady responded rudely saying smth along the lines of not allowing her to use the toilet in the resto and that she could go to the restaurant next door to pee. she said smth like “ini di belanda bukan di indonesia. mau ke toilet cek sebelah aja” in the rudest, aggresive pitch, nd the most ignorant way possible. mind yall, MY GRANDPARENTS R CUSTOMERS, they paid, they ate. and my grandma had a VERTIGO as well around that time. a message from me to that lady is that. you have NO RIGHT to treat the elders THAT WAY. considering that they are older than you are. a DECENT hospitality is all a customer need. and they are ELDERS. let them be talkative, if you find them annoying for asking indo things or speaking bahasa indo toward you, sorry, but again, they are just elders who missed indo and they just wanted to eat YOUR FOOD and were trying to be FRIENDLY. they are your CUSTOMERS. TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS BETTER. us people are the ones keeping your business ALIVE. HAVE SOME DECENCY. a message to indo travelers who are looking for indo foods around leiden, either don’t go to this place or pretend you’re not from indo. it seemed to me that the lady/owner or whoever she is, have smth toward the elders or indo ppl in general (for whatever reason it is) . BTW, my grandparents were devastated and disappointed ab the resto and told me that their food was mediocre. have a nice trip to everyone.

The small Rames is still very tasty. It's just that recently the takeaway portions have become much smaller and the price has gone up. Is Selera Anda engaging in shrinkflation too? Okay that must have been a mistake then, because the 5 containers were half full.

Had a fine Indonesian lunch for 8.80 euros. Where else can you get that for that price? Don't expect a top-tier restaurant, but for this amount it's perfectly fine, tasty, and you can even choose. However, we did eat everything on the spot on disposable plastic. That's a shame.

The food was delicious and varied. Rice and noodles, a choice of various vegetables, meat (chicken or beef) ranging from sweet to savory and spicy.

A short trip to Leiden, and found Authentic Indonesian Food Restaurant, with reach of spices, good quality of food, meeting with The Owner , Ibu from Kalimantan mentioning how she really love to making new friend. Then I meet with local Indonesian man who work at Hospital ( Mas Gianni) , overall " Selera Anda" Restaurant giving the best food, services and a places to make a new friends from all around the world. 😆🙏

What looked delicious at first glance was pure deception. When I microwaved the dish at home, it started to smell quite sour. Those noodles were simply inedible and looked like they'd been soaked in vinegar! Simply inedible, and you'd get a stomach ache after 10 minutes! A NO GO for me!

Food is fine ,all microwaved or steamed , friendly staff, no toilet , no option to wash your hands , they charge can deposit-statiegeld but dont give it back.

I always come here when I need to have lunch or dinner after uni. The food tastes homemade as if a mother made it for her children. It is very tasty and full of flavor. The people are all very sweet and friendly and make you feel at home when you are there. Also, the food is quite cheap for what you get and you always walk away with a full stomach. I would like it better if the food was a bit spicier😉

Food was quite tasty. Unfortunately- even when I was eating in- they still served us with plastic box, plastic cuttlery. I cant believe this practice still happens in Europe. Governtment needs to do more to regulate such stuff.

Very delicious food! You can choose between different options (we chose a vegetarian option, they have 3 different types of tempeh and tofu), and the friendly lady helps and explains everything if you want to. Highly recommend!

Food is mediocre. Nasi goreng is weird, nasi putih is wet. All dishes tasted a bit strange. Considering the portion and price, you can still try to be positive about price-quality. I don't understand why people dare to give a 5. That's a 10, so perfection and that's just not what this case is.

Casual Indonesian restaurant with good, inexpensive food. The portions were big enough that we have leftovers for tomorrow.

My family and I had a wonderful experience at Selera Anda. The lady was so friendly and took her time to explain what everything was. It was then heated and delivered to our table. I have never had Indonesian food before, but it was so delicious that we are already planning our return. Lots of choice of rice, noodles, tofu, tempeh, chicken, and beef, with delicious vegetable sides. Give it a try!

This restaurant had various types of Indonesian food with original Indonesian taste. The price was affordable, and they even offered a lunch package at a more affordable price. Last but not least, the food was HALAL. This is a must visited Indonesian restaurant in the Netherlands.

It feels very Indonesian. Very satisfactory. They don't prepare plates, eat in plastic boxes and the food must be warmed up

This is a very welcoming and delicious restaurant/take-away! Irrespective of what food you order, you will get a tasty mix of the dishes displayed at the counter. The different positions on the menu just decide the size and balance of your portion. After choosing one, you still have the freedom to pick the vegtables and meats.

Sungguh enak sekali! (Most delicious!) Being a Malaysian, I really appreciated the home-cooked large range of Indonesian dishes. Served in what we would call a ‘economy rice/nasi campur’ style. The 2 ladies serving us were most excellent and sensitive - they could tell I was pregnant from the get-go and treated me with so much respect (a first throughout my 2 week long babymoon!). Food was also amazing, and reminded me well of the flavours I’m familiar with. Big thumbs up and mesti cuba! (Must-try)

Lovely place to pick up, so we do that regularly. The food is good and well seasoned. A small window is more than sufficient for most people. Friendly staff too! It is not the kind of restaurant where you sit down in the evening. Enjoy takeaway and make it cozy at home. *One of the few takeaway places where I, as an IBS sufferer, can eat without being bothered for days.

As an Indonesian, I would say this place is pretty nice and you will get so much for a plate of 10-13 euro. You need to try its "satay"+peanut sauce and "semur" which is pretty tasty 😋

Delicious food to pick up and heat up at home or have it heated up in the microwave. Prices are reasonable. You can have a meal for 1 person for 11 euros. Food was very tasty! Staff were super friendly and were able to provide good information and advice about the different dishes.

As an Indonesian, I came here with my Dutch girlfriend to show her some of the Indonesian cuisine and we both loved it. From the moment we entered, we were greeted with the typical Indonesian hospitality and the choices of dishes were plentiful. definitely recommend it for Indonesians who miss the taste of home cooking and for people who are not familiar with Indonesian dishes I would definitely recommend checking this place out because it gives you an idea of how an Indonesian home cooked meal is.

Food is pretty good and authentic; served on a crockery plate and proper cutlery in a more charming interior and they could charge at least half as much again. Steady business of locals eating in and takeout. Lovely owners. I would suggest describing the various combinations of the special plates on the window in both English and Dutch, as many people are reluctant to come in and ask. Happy to recommend
