I haven't had the food yet, but let me start by saying that the beer and the atmosphere with the people here are ultimate, and I say this as a Drachten resident.

Super cozy and atmospheric cafe. You can also play pool and darts there. It's a great cafe for going out and eating. Everyone is sociable and the decor is cozy. Highly recommended.

We've rarely felt so uncomfortable in a restaurant. For this reason, we each only drank one cocktail, which was obviously pre-made from a bottle and tasted accordingly. Aside from a few ice cubes, there was nothing in my mojito...no mint leaves, no limes, and no traces of cane sugar...the Aperol Spritz was similar. The prices, however, are comparable to those of a cocktail bar. We didn't eat anything, as the food served to neighboring tables looked like it would be at the nearby snack bars, albeit at quite high prices. Maybe okay for a quick beer, but nothing more.

Honestly, I don't know how some people here can call the food good. The entrecôte was "OK," although it was probably cooked in fat with the schnitzel, but the cordon bleu was more like a frozen schnitzel from the microwave topped with cheese. All in all, I don't recommend this pub when it comes to food.

We wouldn't go there anymore. You didn't feel welcome, schnitzel from the deep fryer and hunter's sauce was just a small blob.

Good music and a nice, quaint bar. The food is a bit cheaper, but the quality is rather mediocre. The ambiance and the music make up for it. The waitress is friendly, and the service is good. Card payments accepted.

What a cozy brown cafe, where you can enjoy a delicious meal. Prawns with noodles/teriyaki sauce and tender meaty spare ribs, both delicious, highly recommended. Friendly staff.

Very nice pub. Old Bruin Cafe. The food was great and the prices were reasonable. Entrecote and hamburgers were excellent. 👌 Ambiance very cozy. Not as crowded as the shopping area.

My friend and I had a delicious meal here. The waiter and chef both came to inquire whether everything was satisfactory, and although this was certainly the case, they came across as very concerned. They were also very friendly.

What a nice, cozy, atmospheric cafe in Egmond aan Zee. Nice atmosphere, brown pub idea. Pleasant. A truly delicious meal. The pork tenderloin was the tastiest I've ever had. Also delicious pork tenderloin satay for my girlfriend. Enjoy with a capital G. 5 stars :)

Home-style cuisine at fair prices. Nice friendly service.

We came here with a large group of conference participants for an after party well after midnight. The staff was not prepared for this, but effortlessly poured one beer after another for the crowd. Music was turned up louder for the dancers among us and no fuss was made about request songs. The only downside was that there was nothing left to eat at that time, but other than that it was great!

Unfortunately not as happy with the food as usual today. Schnitzel tasted warmed up somehow. Maybe because of the two rest days before? Otherwise we loved it. As always, the ambience is quaint. Drinks delicious. Try it again next time.

Nice classic pub with good music and a large selection of beer. Update 2024: from 4 to 1 star in one year. Anyone who laughs at guests shouldn't have any.

Wir betraten das leere Lokal. Nur am Tresen saßen einige Männer. Man begrüßte uns und wir suchten uns einen Tisch zum Essen aus. Kaum saßen wir, kam die Bedienung, knallte ein Reserviert-Schild auf den Tisch und herrschte uns an, wir hätten doch sehen müssen, dass dieser Tisch für vier Personen reserviert sei, weil dort vier Gedecke lagen. Alle anderen Tische waren ähnlich gedeckt. Als ich sagte, dass ich Autistin sei und nicht direkt unter den Lautsprechern sitzen könne, sagte sie mit lauter Stimme Tschüss und die Herren am Tresen lachten mich aus. Ich begann zu weinen und sagte nur "Seien Sie froh, dass Sie nicht behindert sind." Man lachte noch mehr und rief im Chor "Tschüß". Null Hilfe, null Unterstützung.

Es war oder ist ein Geheimtip, der etwas Abseits von der Einkaufsmeile liegt. Sowohl die Rippchen, als auch die Satespiesse, waren sehr sehr lecker. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt, und das Personal ist immer freundlich. Kann man nur weiterempfehlen. Dat hat gesmackt

Kneipe/Gaststätte, die hauptsächlich von einheimische. besucht wird. Große Portionen und eher Kneipenküche. Aber lecker. Service etwas schläfrig. Unsere Vorspeise wurde Gott sei Dank vergessen. Preise im Vergleich eher günstig. 0,25 Bier - 3 Euro, Essen 15-17 Euro.

We gaan hier regelmatig heen voor een paar drankjes in het weekend. Heel gezellig. Er speelt altijd muziek en de mensen zijn vriendelijk.

Super Kneipe, aber die Bierpreise in den Niederlanden sind mehr als grenzwertig. Echt heftig.

Top ontvangts, heerlijk eten, volop keus, oprecht eerlijke bediening. Waardeer je een bruine kroeg met goede muziek... dan verslaat het alles in Egmond !

Gezellige kroeg met mogelijkheid binnen te eten à la carte. Redelijk uitgebreide kaart, prettig geprijsd. Prima prijs-kwaliteitverhouding. Vriendelijke bediening.

Eine gemütliche Gaststätte die von vielen einheimischen besucht wird. Kleine Speisekarte mit leckeren Gerichten. Wir hatten ein Schweinefilet und ein Filetsteak. Beide Gerichte wurden mit Pommes und Salat serviert. Das Steak ( echte 250gr) war auf den Punkt, und sehr zart. Das gleiche gilt für das Schweinefilet. Dazu nahmen wir ein Cola und zwei Amstel Bier (eiskalt), und blieben unter 50€. Wir waren mit dem Essen und der der freundlichen Bedienung mehr als zufrieden. Wir werden hier, wenn wir im Urlaub sind öfters einkehren.

Hebben we redelijk gegeten de Gamba's waren zalig de snitschel was niet echt een topper. Kon vanwege de drukte alleen buiten eten.

Extrem urige Kneipe Auf der Suche nach einer "Sportsbar" mit der Möglichkeit Fussball zu schauen, sind wir dort gelandet. Wie in der Überschrift bereits erwähnt eine urige Sache. Personal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Es gibt auch eine Speisekarte, wir haben u s aber auf das wesentliche beschränkt und Bier getrunken. Wer es also gemütlich und authentisch haben möchte ist dort gut aufgehoben.

Urige Kneipe/Bar. Wir waren Abends zum Feiern hier und das war definitiv gut möglich. Gute Getränkeauswahl und gute Musik.

Wij zijn trouwe Swintje klanten, maar vandaag zijn we teleurgesteld. Telefonisch 1 saté en 1 spareribs besteld en afgehaald: €30 gepind. Thuis bleek dat er geen sausjes bij de spareribs zaten, 1 portie patat ipv 2 zonder mayo en geen garnering die altijd zo smakelijk en leuk is hier, maar een fantasieloze bak ijsbergsla met wat gesneden tomaat erop en nauwelijks dressing. De spareribs en saté waren goed, de patat lauw en de salade smaakte naar niks. Voor €30 wel meer verwacht. Zo zijn we dat niet gewend van 't Swintje! Jammer. We hadden wat te vieren maar eten viel tegen.

Toen wij aankwamen was het hele terras leeg op 1 tafel na. Best een gok om dan een tafel te nemen, maar gelukkig hebben we deze keuze gemaakt. De spareribs waren heerlijk van smaak en heerlijk mals, de varkenshaas was ook heerlijk. Het enige nadeel is dat er geen voor of na-gerecht te kiezen was, maar dit was ook niet nodig gezien de portie. Wel een mandje brood vooraf gehad ;)

Heerlijk gegeten met leuk en vriendelijk personeel. Gezellige sfeer hangt er rond. Tenminste als je van een leuk knus bruin café houd.

Een heel gezellig plekje om te zitten en te eten. Zeer vriendelijke bediening.Een heerlijke runderspare rib gegeten,en mijn man een reuze xxl hamburger. Wij komen zeker terug!
