Taverne in Wijk 01 Bergen Binnen

Cozy and authentic café in Bergen. It used to be a hash café. It's no longer there, but it still exudes the atmosphere of a nightlife venue. Or rather, that's exactly what it is. With a good daily special (be there early) and live music on Sunday afternoons, sometimes Thursday evenings too. Friday evenings are often a disco, and there's dancing then. For a while, "De Tav" seemed to have to close because the landlord terminated the lease. But thanks to many expressions of support and a lawsuit, they're allowed to stay: a monument, that's what this place is!

Fun activities and diversity in music performances on the raised stage in front of the dance floor. On Fridays a DJ plays to get your feet off the floor. A cozy, warmly decorated tavern. Keep an eye on the agenda on the website.

i was there with my friend and we went outside for a bit and then we realised that my friend lost his phone. When we tried to get back inside to look for the phone the guard pushed us away, got violent immediately and was extremely rude.

The guy at the door was extremely rude. We lost our phone inside and he wasn’t letting us it to find it. He pushed us (me and a girl) and he started yelling. He got violent instantly and the girl almost hit her head on the wall. Terrible security wouldn’t recommend

I wanted to pay for 3 IPA beers, the owner came and said that I had drunk 4. Be careful not to have anything written down. You are being scammed!

The Taverse is a cultural heritage and unfortunately has to make way! I often enjoy it there on Friday evenings for the disco and on Sundays when there is a band. Many visitors will miss this if the Taverne has to close in February 2025 Frank

Do yourself a favor and get out of Amsterdam and enjoy a real place like this. Just awesome.

I've been coming here every now and then for years. Lovely cafe. Tasty beers, good atmosphere, friendly staff. I like to go there when there is live music playing. You will hardly find this kind of village cosiness anywhere else. Unfortunately, it looks like the wealthy landlords of the building want to turn it into a chic restaurant and that the Tav will have to disappear. I hope people come to an understanding.

We knew that there was only a meal of the day, but more explanation could have been given and possible options (such as vegetarian, extra salad, etc.) After about half an hour, we were simply served a plate. It was fine for the money, but don't expect haute cuisine.

They say 'who says Bergen says De Taverne. This place has been the centre of almost every cultural and especially musical outings. The atmosphere is so relaxed and happening. People of literally all ages walk in and mingle and enjoy each others company. The food that's being served is really tasty and original. It would be a shame if this place would dissapear for some reason. Like it a lot! Go there!

Super leuk geborreld en gegeten! Na een dagje strand hier uitgekomen. Leuk tafeltje met uitzicht over het terras. Het idee was een drankje maar het werden er meer, we kregen langzaam het idee dat er eigenlijk alleen maar locals zaten, wat natuurlijk altijd goed is. De garnalen bitterballen besteld, alhoewel dit niet helemaal goed ging werd dit goed en vriendelijk opgelost, en daar gaat het dan om! Naar al meer dan een uur naar het bord daghap gekeken te hebben toch besloten om de “gok” te nemen. We werden al gerust gesteld toen er voor ons ineens meer daghappen werden uitgeserveerd door de keuken. En toen kwamen onze bordjes het zag er al erg goed uit en zo smaakte het ook! Kortom top middag en avond gehad, na een lekker dagje strand, morgen weer werken! :)

Gemütlich, draußen erst immer viel los, man trifft sich dort, neben trinken auch essen möglich drinnen, Bands treffen auf, Bedienung freundlich!!

Er is alleen de 'daghap' maar die is dan ook geweldig!

Als de daghap Indiaas eten is ben ik altijd van de partij wat heerlijk of ik weer even terug in India ben dan.

Do not go there unless you fancy being offended by a sociopathic (and autistic) proprietor who will charge you the same drinks you've already paid for for up to and including 4 times (25+ different people have had, and talked about this experience of which there is undisputable evidence) who has now the time and opportunities of a lifetime to police you and square his weird vendettas with everyone who speaks up in his distopic soon- to-be- extinct establishment by using the 'powers' given to him by QR discrimination. He dwells in it, druling over and savouring from his new possibilities. What a place... But... It was fun and nice for 40+ years before him, and maybe just maybe will be again, once he's f*ckd off. Let's pray for that

Dagelijks een nieuw gerecht onder het mom: Eten wat de pot schaft. Altijd goed en smaakvol. Tip: neem de Taverne Dort als je van een lekker biertje erbij houdt. Vriendelijke leuke en spontane bediening.

Perfecte plek voor een biertje en als je buiten zit is het leuk mensen kijken. Er hangt een leuke sfeer.
