Great coffee, lunch and cake (I had the carrot cake). Also good and friendly service!

Friendly service, however, they went overboard with the dressing on the sandwiches, which made it a bit disappointing; the rest was fine.

I used to visit this café frequently and often brought friends with me, as I’ve had consistently positive experiences in the past. Unfortunately, today’s visit was disappointing. The atmosphere felt different from what I’m used to, and the red velvet cookie I ordered did not meet the usual quality. It did not seem fresh, was quite hard, and overly sweet. I shared this feedback at the time, but the response felt dismissive, and I was still charged the full price. Additionally, it was the first time I wasn’t asked how my coffee or food was, either at the table or when paying, which added to the overall experience. Because of this visit, I’m reconsidering returning in the future.

Absolutely disappointing experience. I came with a baby, simply asking for a table for 10 minutes so I could quickly drink a coffee and feed the baby. Instead of any understanding or basic hospitality, I was met with a rude and dismissive attitude. I was told that all tables were “reserved” for later, once they close the patio. What made it even more frustrating was that many of those “reserved” tables were actually sitting empty at the time. When I politely asked from what time exactly those reservations start, and explained I only needed a few minutes, the answer was still a flat “no” — no flexibility, no empathy, nothing. It’s honestly shocking to see such a lack of basic human consideration, especially toward someone with a baby. There was zero effort to accommodate me, even for a very short time. Would not recommend!!!!

I saw the ‘Barista Café’ sign and it immediately caught my attention. I ordered a caramelino first; it was very tasty and prepared quickly. Next, I ordered the pancakes. These were delicious. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. There is a nice atmosphere among the colleagues, which is evident from the smiling faces as well as the teamwork. I highly recommend coming here, whether it’s just for a coffee or for lunch as well.

Enjoyed sitting outside on the terrace, ate delicious apple pie and drank good coffee. The service was very friendly.

A barista cafe makes you love Breda. Service attendant is a cute lady full of a lovely smile . Dessert choices are all tasty . Cinnamon latte is a must taste and prices are reasonable. Plus you are in Breda . ( no offense but fav city in Netherlands is stll Den Haag 🙂)

Perfect place . Tasty coffee and carrot cake

We had ordered a cappuccino and a barista breakfast. While eating, we discovered there was glass in it, but they handled this fantastically. They took the board away and refilled the drinks that came with it. We also received a free brownie, and afterwards we only had to pay for the cappuccino. It was really nicely resolved, and we definitely thanked the staff, because that can happen, of course!

A very cozy cafe in Breda where everything is not only beautifully presented but also delicious. The staff is friendly and the service very fast. I'm usually not a fan of the muesli you get in restaurants, but this was incredibly delicious with the fruit yogurt. The brownie was also delicious, as was the avocado and egg sandwich. The juice was nice and fresh, and the coffee was good. I'll definitely be back.

Very friendly service. I chose the NY Cheesecake, a cappuccino, and an iced latte. The coffee was just right, not too bitter or too weak, and the cake 🍰 was delicious too 😝 The lady who served us was very nice and had such a warm vibe. I highly recommend this place.

Small but super cozy coffee bar with a warm, intimate atmosphere. The cappuccino looked nice (with a cute latte art swan), but tasted a bit watery and lacked depth. It was nice, though, that it was served on a small board with a freshly baked cookie. (Coffee: 7.9) The smashed avocado sandwich, on the other hand, was a winner: colorful, well-presented, and delicious in terms of taste and balance. Definitely recommended. (Food: 8.7) The service was remarkably good: friendly, lightning-fast, and attentive. (Service: 9.0) In terms of atmosphere, the café feels homey and well-maintained, including an indoor balcony that really adds to the look. Everything looks neat and clean. (Atmosphere: 8.7) The prices are a bit on the high side, especially for a student, but the quality matches in most cases. 16.95 for a cappuccino and a sandwich (Price: 5.8) Comfort is generally fine, although the seating area with the sofa is a bit inconvenient due to the lack of power outlets; not ideal if you want to study. We received a gift certificate for the Barista Cafe and decided to use it in Breda. Unfortunately, the certificate wasn't accepted because every business seems to have different rules. Downside... The coffee was good, the food was tasty.

The store was still open and there were tons of customers inside. I got strange looks and they told me they were closed.

A very cozy space in the heart of Breda, where coffee and tea are served. Duo/solo are preferred. Trios must bend their knees.

A nice, cozy place to have coffee inside or sit outside on the terrace. The coffee and food are delicious, too bad they close so early.

This place is definitely my favorite! Its small, compact design makes for a cozy atmosphere. The food is excellent, and the atmosphere is wonderful.

We ordered nachos but the cheese was hard and the bottom nachos had no cheese or sauce on them.

Unfriendly service. Menus taken off us and told that they couldn’t accommodate a group of 8 (2 small children). This despite large groups already there. Much better places that are far more friendly and accommodating.

The waitress wouldn’t want to give me a glass of water with a 15€ breakfast I ordered because according to their policy they don’t give free water without a drink - how rude. Also, I was asked by the old lady to take my phone call outside. Am never leaving another cent at that bar

My boyfriend and I go here specifically for the delicious pancakes! Highly recommended for everyone! Freshly made with delicious fruit. The drinks are always good too, and it's cozy both inside and outside. The only downside is that you can smoke on the patio :( That's a bit less pleasant when you're enjoying your pancakes...

Great location and the best coffee on the Grote Markt in Breda. The coffee is a bit bitter. Enjoy a cookie with your coffee. Delicious apple pie. Quite small inside and often full.

Nice and cozy place with a sweet waitress. You can taste that the products are really fresh and made with love. We came for brunch and the menu had many tasty dishes. The layout of the plates was also very fun and creative. In short, highly recommended!

It is wonderful to relax in the comfortable chairs and enjoy a latte and lemon tart. The service is super friendly. Dogs get a nice reward...a top place!

They state they close at 18:00. However, it's 17:30 but they informed me I can't get a coffee because "they already did the last round". How long takes to make a coffee? 1 min? Don't come here. They don't want to work. In response: change your opening times to give a realistic expectation to your customers. All the best!

Nice people. The coffee is what you order and tastes high quality. The apparently homemade coffee cookies have a certain addictive potential. One point deducted from the ambience for no particular reason. Chairs comfortable inside not bad either. If you're in Breda and want a coffee, it's not bad. The price is relatively high but below average for a café.

We entered from the street, attracted by the large number of people inside and it was a good decision. Delicious cakes, polite service, good coffee and a very pleasant atmosphere. It is also very clean. We were there just before closing time, we will definitely come back to try the breakfasts.

The food was super tasty and the atmosphere was also very cozy. The only downside is that the music is a bit like radio music. Some jazz would have been nice, but otherwise a super nice place with very good service! Highly recommended!

Passing French tourists discovered this magnificent place in passing..cappuccino and hot chocolate at the top..the young girl at the service was smiling and very communicative despite the language barrier..I recommend this place!

The Barista Cafe is located in the center of Breda and is easily accessible on foot and by bike. It's about a 6-8 minute walk to the next bus stop. There are paid parking spaces for private transport outside the city center. After we sat down, about 10 minutes passed until someone served us. The service staff was friendly and multilingual, which I really appreciated. The restaurant offers a limited number of indoor and outdoor seating. The quality of the coffee was ok, the prices are medium-high. One of the two toilets was broken, the entire toilet area was not clean, there may be a need for action here.

Nice cafe with top service! The staff was super nice and attentive. We shared a waffle. Since I am currently avoiding certain foods, we asked what was served with it. The waffle was then brought to us in two small portions without asking and I was explicitly asked again whether I could eat it all😊. They also brought our dog water and treats without asking. You sit directly on the market square in the morning sun. Big recommendation 👍🏼!

Very nice people who work there, it was busy everywhere (during the weekend) but there happened to be a small spot available on the terrace, easy to do for 1 person. I ordered an iced matcha latte with oat milk and a carrot cake Both were very tasty! Just a pity that you pay almost €5 for a small piece. Toilets were also not excellent, you had to wait a long time because 1 toilet was defective and there was toilet paper everywhere on the floor.

I come here regularly and this is really my go-to café in Breda. Tasty cakes and great coffee, fast service and prices are fair. Always good here :)

Lovely place with super friendly and fast service. The food is also really good and affordable.

We've been living near Breda for over 5 months now and only recently discovered this incredibly cozy café. The atmosphere is pleasant, where you can either focus on work or just have a great time over a delicious cup of coffee. So far, I've only tried the red velvet (also quite good). The prices are democratic, not higher than other similar places. The staff here are very polite and pleasant young people. Out of all the places we've been to in the Netherlands, they really know what good service is here! And that's why we came back here on a weekend day. I work a lot outside of home, and I will visit this place many more times! Sincere recommendation!

Great atmosphere. The food is decent although quite overpriced for what you get. The coffee is absolutely disgusting however even instant coffee would have been better. When I told the staff they acted offended and said that I should just add sugar. I wouldn’t go back here for the food or the drinks or the service. The atmosphere is very nice though. Next time I’m back to my usual spot.

Friendly service. Even though the place was almost full, the service was quick and we asked in between if everything was to your liking. Delicious coffee, good food and cozy furnishings. The only downside is the toilet in the basement.

Coffee is really nice, deserts can be better, however if you paid and still wish to stay for a bit longer is NOT welcome :( I feel like I have to edit this, so as I said the coffee is really good indeed, I keep coming back just because I like the coffee here. And even when you took my plate I wasn’t able to finish that desert. And before you ask me to make space I asked if you have mocha cause my menu was borrowed to the other table so I don’t know then I ordered a latte to go cause I was going. I am unsure was I not clear with I want that latte and/but to go or I wasn’t speaking loud enough, so my order was not taken and I also had to leave right away

It is a nice place for breakfast. Right in the center of Breda. The staff is nice and friendly and the place looks quite cozy inside. I had the sandwich from the picture and it was a bit to sour for me. It had avocado in it so probably it had also lime but it was a bit to much lime, if that is what i felt. But the rest was very good

Heel mooie, meer alternatieve zaak op de Grote Markt van Breda. Het geheel geeft een verzorgde indruk en ademt liefde voor het vak. Zo is de eerste helft van de Yuzu & Raspberry Iced Tea alvast een schot in de roos. De bijgeleverde boterkoekjes zijn onweerstaanbaar lekker. Prijzen liggen wel aan de eerder hoge kant, al zijn de terrasjes in Breda doorgaans wel redelijk duur. Hoe dan ook, we komen er graag.
