New gem discovered in The Hague! One evening at 9.30 pm we spontaneously decided to have dinner here and we certainly did not regret it. Amazing wines, delicious meat and a Sgroppino to die for. We were there late at night and one of the last tables. We never felt rushed and the owner gave us a tour of the upstairs area, very nice. We will definitely come back!

Rented the upstairs room for a family party: warm, cozy, private bar and toilet. Dressed drinks and shared dining: everything perfect (all served at a high pace, without loss of quality, up and down the stairs). The full 5 stars. Absolutely recommended!

Bar/Restaurant SEB on Lijsterbesplein recently reopened after a major renovation, and I had the pleasure of visiting. The restaurant now has a beautiful, inviting and cozy terrace with an excellent ambiance. Inside, the interior is neat, with natural green tones that invite, and the restaurant benefits from beautiful light. During my visit I discovered a delicious wine from Puglia, the Masseria Santa Maria, made from the Fiano grape. This was served in combination with a tasty veal bitterbal. The offer on the menu (shared dining) was promising and promises a varied culinary experience. What makes the restaurant extra attractive are the super enthusiastic and hospitable owners. All in all, Bar/Restaurant SEB on Lijsterbesplein is now a promising hotspot in the tree-lined neighborhood. Whether you come for a delicious glass of wine, a tasty meal or just want to enjoy the cozy atmosphere, this restaurant offers it all. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a new culinary experience in the area.

Had dinner at this restaurant last night. We had not made a reservation and were not familiar with it, but we were pleasantly surprised! We received a very warm welcome and had a wonderful evening in a warm, relaxed atmosphere. We ordered and shared all kinds of different dishes and everything was delicious! This was a big ten and we highly recommend this restaurant!

One thing is certain: at Bar/Restaurant SEB you know you will always have a delicious meal! We have been there a few times now and each time we are surprised by the quality of the dishes. The service is really great and they take good care of any allergies. In short: whether you come for a spontaneous dinner or to celebrate something, it will definitely be a party at SEB!

Nice place with a cozy interior. We came to drink AperolSpritz, but also ordered a snack board. That seemed a bit measured; The cheese cubes had little taste (white edges) nothing special.. no manchego, or old tasty cheese, small thin slices of chorizo, thimbles of mayo (no alioli) 🧀 and extra bread was charged €2.50. There was no warm snack such as a shrimp 🍤 croquette or other bitter garnish. Afterwards we ordered sambuca (liqueur) and dessert🍰 + coffee, but the sambuca was more of a Hague cup - the waitress said she didn't care about it and left it at that. The lemon 🍋 cake turned out to consist of 2 small pastries and the charge was €10. (Very tasty!) The Giozas and the gambas were very good! Definitely recommended. Dinner looked fine. A tip; Ed Boele for the cheese and Englebert Spanish sausage (snack board) and pour the sambuca more generously.

Finally didn't cycle past but stopped for a delicious dinner. Nice decor and beautiful, large terrace. Nice that you can choose between shared dining or just your own main course. Enjoyed delicious prawns and ossobuco with a good glass of wine. I will definitely go back again.

What I love about SeB is that it gives you a to share option or an a la carte. They have the creamiest burrata with sweet tomato and crunchy crouton, cute burgers that come in pairs, pimento peppers with a crunchy topping, cheesy sweet potato fries and a luscious lemons meringues tart. The owners are friendly and passionate about their place, giving it a very welcoming feel.

Surprise menu Iberico pig. Delicious. I don't remember what puree and vegetables. On menu € 22.50 on bill € 24.50. I didn't order fries separately for €5. Stupid. Still hungry, so a cheese board, I think €17. Drink: Chardonnay €6,- ok, Leffe blond tap €6,- mmmhh, gin €6,- come on!! Summary: business, terrace, service ok. Prices are not ok for me, but don't let that stop you.

Very nice and good restaurant. An asset to the neighborhood! Good, friendly and fast service. Ample parking options and good accessibility by bicycle and public transport. Inside and outside you can admire artwork from Crail Moansburg that fits well with the atmosphere of the restaurant.

Top tent, a clear improvement since the previous few occupations at this location. The owners/hosts/fun makers are great, the food is tasty, the decor is cozy. Tequila is highly recommended.

Really nice place. Food is great and owner really invested in his guests and transparent about trying out new dishes and actively asking for feedback. Good selection of wines that you don't see everywhere. Will be coming back for sure.

Nice to be at Lijster-SEB-plein / food and wine both very fine! Friday evening, worked hard, start of a mini-vacation: then you really don't want to cook. So on to an old love at Lijsterbesplein, SEB café-restaurant, finally another great place to eat and/or have a drink in this part of The Hague. SEB has beautifully renovated the building (formerly De Burcht, which has been defunct for some time now): light and space. And top service was deployed with an excellent kitchen staff that conjures up excellent dishes. These were delicious accompanied by a fine wine. It was busy and lively, and the atmospheric environment and personal attention made this the place to be (except on Tuesdays)!

Were received warmly and hospitably! Management had an eye for the profession. Delicious drinks and food served with passion! We will definitely come back here for the terrace

Delicious food in a cozy restaurant. There is a good atmosphere, all tables were occupied and the hospitality & service gets a big 10. Visited SEB last night, what a nice place! Very well received by the owners, who are happily working in their business with a smile on their faces. We sat at the bar, where we enjoyed beautiful dishes from the kitchen. We stayed much longer than we initially planned, but the food was too tasty and the atmosphere too nice! Good asset, they will see us again soon :)

I think we just found a gem in the neighbourhood! ✨️ we really appreciated the friendly service by the owners and atmosphere. We could take our time to enjoy the food and the delicious wine from Puglia. Also, nice place for internationals in the neighbourhood, English wasn't a problem at all.

We had a delicious meal at Seb restaurant last Saturday. We were warmly welcomed by the host who took good care of us throughout the evening. We drank delicious wines and had a super tasty (vegetarian) meal. The gyozas in particular are highly recommended! We will definitely come back here one day.

My wife and I went to the then Aimee restaurant on Lijsterbesplein more than a year ago. 1 word drama. We heard that the restaurant is now called SEB with new owners. So we thought, let's give it a try. Well, we don't regret that. The place has been beautifully renovated, very attractive, spacious and very nice people. From the service to the kitchen. We had really delicious food and drinks. The Italian chefs also came by every now and then, where do you find that? All in all, this was not a one-off for us. René and Monica.

Lovely food, great service. They offer mostly shared dining, wich is great when you have a hard time making a choice. This meant we could just try out a bit of everything. No unnecessary junk, just good food and good people.

Delicious food, super sweet and friendly service (I personally love it very much), quiet dining, nothing is too much, nice conversation with Serge and new dishes on the menu tonight and we were a bit like guinea pigs. We did not regret ordering the beef tataki, carpaccio on filo pastry. Partial share and not to share dining. We think it's a nice combination, because it meant we could taste a little bit of everything. After a brief explanation of what the SEB special meat and fish was, I also ordered this and certainly did not regret it. Delicious duck with a specific orange sauce and a kind of salmon with a delicious sauce. I am a carpaccio connoisseur par excellence, but in addition to the variant that another entrepreneur always makes, I am always critical of how the carpaccio is served. This variation is really so incredibly tasty. We are moving in December and are sorry that SEB has settled in our soon-to-be-old neighborhood too late for us, but it was so nice that we are going again this Friday! What an asset to the neighborhood and we recommend having dinner or lunch here. We will definitely cycle from Honselersdijk this spring to enjoy ourselves again.

ik heb een heerlijke verjaardagslunch gehad met vriendinnen op de eerste verdieping Wij waren met een grote groep, Het eten was fantastisch. We hadden allemaal lekkere hapjes. Share dining. Het eten was top en een hele aardige en goede bediening. Entourage in een hele gezellige ruimte. Een absolute aanrader ook als je iets te vieren hebt met een grote groep!

Hele fijne sfeer en zeer gastvrije bediening. Het eten was heerlijk. Twee vlees gerechten genomen. Het vlees was erg mals, heerlijk. Vooral de ossobuco is aan te raden!

Heerlijk gegeten met een vriendin hier, ontzettend vriendelijk personeel. Leuk om de nieuwe eigenaar te leren kennen ook. Akoestiek alleen niet optimaal, wij konden elkaar moeilijk verstaan. Rundertataki en beefburgertjes waren heel lekker. Groente als side dish was ook erg goed.

Heerlijke plek! Ik was als laatst van mijn gezelschap aanwezig en werd hartelijk ontvangen door de gastvrouw. Er stond al een heerlijke fles wijn op tafel. Wij hebben gekozen voor wat gerechtjes om te delen: o.a. de mini burgers, burrata, gamba’s, gyoza en zoete aardappelfriet. Allemaal net zo lekker! Er hangt een fijne sfeer in de zaak met prettige achtergrondmuziek. Akoestiek is goed. Service is ook super; wijn werd bijgeschonken zonder dat het ‘te veel’ werd en er werd nog even uitgelegd waar de naam SeB vandaan komt! Ik heb nu al zin in een volgende keer en ik weet zeker dat ik het terras volgend jaar ook ga uitproberen!

Wat hebben wij hier een heerlijke avond gehad! Heerlijk eten en super fijne service, erg goede bediening. Fijn dat er nog restaurants bestaan waar je je echt welkom kan voelen!

Goede tent op een mooie locatie. We hebben hier verschillende gerechten gegeten en de lasagne is met kop en schouders de beste! Ook de zoete aardappelfriet en escargots waren heerlijk en voegde goed toe aan het hoofdgerecht. Aanrader!

Het eten was fantastisch, heerlijk gegeten. De bediening door eigenaren Serge en Bel was top. Wij gaan hier zeker terugkomen!!

Opviel was de open sfeer. Leuk opgeknapt en nog in opbouwfase; er is meer dan interesse in wellicht verbeterpunten!!! De kwaliteit van het eten was goed. Vriendelijke bediening; ik voelde me er écht thuis. Ik heb er al geborreld, geluncht en gegeten (stamppotje informeel aan de bar) en gedineerd. Ook heb ik hun zaaltje boven gereserveerd. Ik durf SeB aan te raden!!

Eerste indruk buiten goed lampjes zijn aan, wordt ontvangen door personeel mogen zelf een plekje uitzoeken. Leuk dat er een aparte wijnkaart is en een menukaart is. Goed kaart leuke en lekkere hapjes om samen te delen. Kaas 🧀 plankje was echt top lekker met een PX. Personeel is leuk vriendelijk behulpzaam en gezellig. Algemene ervaring top 👍🏻

Afgelopen vrijdag hebben mijn vrouw en ik heerlijk gedineerd, de sfeer en uitstraling waren aangenaam en het personeel vriendelijk. Dit nieuwe restaurant is een aanwinst voor de buurt! Wij komen zeker terug en zouden dit restaurant zeker aanbevelen!

Het was fantastisch! De geweldige sfeer van het restaurant is direct voelbaar bij het aanzicht van het pand en het gezellige terras. Binnen is dit niet anders. De mooie moderne inrichting met warme kleuren en de gezellige details (persoonlijk groots fan van de mooie groene kleur op de muren/bar) zorgen voor een fantastische sfeer. De service (door de eigenaren) was echt uitstekend! De ervaring die ze bezitten en vooral de passie die ze voor het vak hebben stralen ze uit en is voelbaar. Het eten was ook heerlijk, top kwaliteit, fantastisch op smaak en ook niet duur! En dan zijn ze ook nog eens geopend op maandag! Al met al is Bar/Restaurant SeB zeker een aanrader! Bedankt voor de fantastische avond. Ik kom zeker snel weer terug!

Super gezellige plek om te werken en om lekker te eten. Leuk personeel/ collega's waar je altijd wel een gezellig praatje mee kan maken. En natuurlijk een top keuken die de lekkerste lunch, borrel en avondeten bordjes voor je klaar kan maken.

Mooi pand, historisch, op een mooie locatie, met een geweldig terras. Nieuwe eigenaars, pand lekker opgefrist, modern maar sfeervol. Ik heb het idee dat deze eigenaars de geweldige bovenverdieping ook beter gaan benutten voorzien nu van een kleine bar en aparte toiletgroep, zou deze gehuurd kunnen worden voor besloten bijeenkomsten, heb ik het idee. Verder was het personeel vriendelijk en attent op een prettige manier. De kaart is divers en de prijzen goed. Ik heb enkel een borrel genoten, de Holtkamp bitterballen zijn wel prijzig maar van voortreffelijke kwaliteit. Een goeie stevige externe crunch, die niet de geest geeft na de eerste hap, zodat je rustig in 4 happen deze zeer smakelijke bitterbal kunt genieten zonder je vingers daarbij te verbranden. De van pit voorziene olijven die ik tijdens de borrel geserveerd kreeg, zien er apart uit, maar oh wat zijn ze heerlijk. Gesloten en niet in olie, zodat ze er haast als rubber replica's uitzien. Ze een volle smaak en zijn mild, veel minder wrang, bitter dan gewoonlijk, een aangename verrassing. Het grote terras op het zuid-oosten is genieten. Ik ga hier zeker met vrienden nog eend terugkomen om meer van de kaart uit te proberen.

Wat een verademing, eindelijk een restaurant in de buurt naar mijn smaak! Zeer goede service, mooie sfeer, superlekker eten en een gevarieerde kaart. Eyecatcher is natuurlijk het zonnige terras. Maar binnen is het ook goed vertoeven. Sfeervolle aankleding fris en zacht tegelijkertijd!
