BASTA gastrobar in Wijk 00 Centrum

Telkens als we naar Maastricht gaan , lunchen we op deze plek. Er is een grote keuze aand lekkere gerechten. De bediening is uitstekend en snel en in de zomer kan je ook buiten eten op het terras voor het testaurent of onder de bomen op het plein.

Reasonably cozy terrace, variety of lunch dishes, 'sandwiches' are around €15,- and are one thick slice of bread with chosen filling. Fairly meager. Glass of water on a hot day, next to your consumption is not possible, you have to order a spa Blauw. Waited about 40 minutes for two "sandwiches" while the terrace was half empty. All in all, not really the biggest recommendation on the Amorsplein Maastricht

June 2025: I only had a latte macchiato, which was very tasty. The restaurant is located in the heart of Maastricht's city center, and when the weather is nice, you can sit outside. The staff is very friendly.

Friendly, somewhat slower service. We had lunch here and were overjoyed with the truffle fries as they were delicious. We ordered the feta burger and focaccia mozzarella here as well as their Aperol Spritz. Overall a pretty decent and quiet spot in Maastricht. Would recommend.

Normaliter krijg ik voor € 11,50; 2 x rundvlees kroket (normale grootte), mosterd en salades. Nu; 3 x mini kroketjes ZONDER HET BOVENGENOEMDE! Schandalig dat dit opeens zo geserveerd wordt. Dit is geldklopperij. Inkoop misschien € 1,50 Wij komen er nooit meer!

Cosy place and not crowded. Ideal to sit down to relax and have a nice meal. Service is friendly and fast. Food is great, can recommend their pulled pork burger, very light and tasty!

Sehr schönes und modern eingerichtetes Bistro-Restaurant im Zentrum; im Sommer Tische außen vor dem Restaurant; sehr leckere Gerichte (u.a. Nudelgerichte, Risotto, Snacks, Burger), sehr freundliches Personal und gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Wir waren in der Vergangenheit wiederholt hier und immer sehr zufrieden.

Personal amable, uno de los únicos lugares donde podríamos pagar algo de dinero para un taxi. En todos los otros cafés y restaurantes cercanos no eran capaces de fijar un poco de dinero en efectivo.

The Basta has always been ideal for a short break. Friendly service, small treats to eat and drink, pleasant atmosphere. Delicious salad with goat cheese and as a “dessert” cappuccino with eggnog, fudge and biscuits. Perfect!

Should be the best, unique fries in the world, still waiting after 45 minutes. Others serve 4 course dish in half an hour…

The service and food are great. For a solo traveler, small gestures like asking ‘Is everything okay?’ are quite important. I’m so happy to have had lunch here.

We ended up there because everything in the square in front was full. Good this way. Less hustle and bustle, but still a view of the action. Good food, delicious dessert, nice service, what more could you want :-)

Drinks menu from 3 pm, we are not allowed to order anything before 3 pm, but the table next to us is? Shame…. Should be the same for everyone. Misunderstandings and mistakes happen, but then you have to admit it to everyone. Nice terrace and friendly staff.

We had a table on the square to see Andre Rieu. The atmosphere and service was great, the food was a little bland for my taste. It was a nice evening after all :)

Way too expensive for the things you get, you might as well get your lasagna at Aldi, you get the same for what you pay, they work unhygienically in the kitchen, not recommended!

Stingy owner... mice literally walk through the store's products. They are ready-made only prepared in the oven and you then pay more than €15 for a dirty meal

Friendly staff, but Basta's lasagna, traditionally made?.. they are (literally!) from Jumbo, I was seriously amazed that they dare to charge so much for this cheap factory lasagna.

Bij binnenkomst viel de rioollucht op, niet fijn als je nog moet beginnen aan je diner. De avondkaart geeft je de keuze uit pasta of een hamburger. De gekozen pasta was oké, maar niet bijzonder.

This place has the best coffee in Maastricht!

Beautifully located if you need a little break from the hustle and bustle of shopping. There is a variety of snacks and the staff is very friendly. You can also sit a few meters further in the middle of the square, but then the service will be a bit slow. If you get a seat right in front of the bar, you can let your eyes wander over the place and calmly think about what you want to do next.

Met 2 gegeten. Risotto en een pasta scampi. Beide zeer lekker en betaalbaar.

Heerlijke Cappuccino, fijn aangekleed met koekje en slagroom advocaat, eten is ook perfect!

We enjoyed the delicious kersenvlaai and rijstevlaai. Coffee was good and the extra mini advocaat was a nice touch. Service was top.

Het eten is hier werkelijk altijd goed!! Verse vlaai en vers eten! Af en toe nog een riool lucht.

So ein Stadtrundgang macht auch ein bisschen müde. Darum kommt ein Espresso da ganz gelegen. Noch dazu wenn man dabei das Geschehen in der Altstadt von Maastricht beobachten kann. Was zum Espresso noch dazu gereicht wurde war dann im wahrsten Sinne das Sahnehäubchen. Ein leckeres Karamelbonbon (Ist auf dem Foto schon angebissen. Ich konnte nicht widerstehen.) und ein Eierlikör mit Sahne. Was für eine positive Überraschung.

Goed gegeten. Prettige bediening. (Te) Kleine stoelen en tafeltjes buiten. Verbetertip: er zit erg veel sla bij de gerechten. Dat hoeft niet.

Had a sandwich and the carbonara. Food was itself good. The only problem was that I got the wrong sandwich - which was more expensive then what I ordered - I accepted. In the end the more expensive sandwich was charged. From my experience this is not good business practices, if you make a mistake and the customer accepted it, you don’t charge them for your mistake …

De sandwich bleek achteraf niet de juiste sandwich te zijn. In de keuken was het wel goed doorgeven maar verkeerd uitgeserveerd, waarop de jongeman opmerkte bij het afrekenen, dit broodje wat u gegeten heeft is duurder, dus moet ik de bon aanpassen. Dus draaien wij op voor een verkeerd uitgeserveerd broodje!? Mijn verwachting was dat de koffie dan op de zaak zou zijn geweest. Zo jammer.

De pasta pollo was de lekkerste pasta die ik ooit heb gegeten. Echt een aanrader!

De risotto was korrelig en de tortelini was zalig. Heel vriendelijk personeel. De zaak mag wat meer mediteraanse sfeer. Uitstekende wijn

Even zitten en een heerlijk kopje koffie met kruimelvlaai gehad. Wat een verrassing kregen we. Bij de koffie een koekje met daarboven op een futge en klein glaasje met advocaat en slagroom. Zeer gastvrij.

Wunderschöner und gemütlicher Platz draußen. Der Service ist freundlich. Das Essen, besonders die vegetarische Lasagne und Foccacio mega lecker und alles frisch. Gerne wieder.

Dankzij deze mensen van Basta is de wereld zoveel mooier ! Al zoekend naar mijn fietsoplader liet ik er mijn tas met geldbeugel en al liggen 🙊 Zoooo eerlijk waren ze om het voor mij opzij te leggen .. wat een pak van mijn hart .. ik wou een symbolische 10 euro geven om hen te bedanken maar de dame weigerde dit .. ewel echt chapeau ! Dit gebaar maakt me echt stil en mild ! Toppers zijn jullie !

Truly delicious food. I had a lamb-meat burger, it was unlike any burger I've eaten before and pleasantly surprised my taste buds. The fries it came with were seasoned with the perfect spices.

Perfect and Nice service and excellent Food

This was a very nice discovery in Maastricht! I ordered the bread with Gorgonzola and strawberry sauce! It’s was surprising but very pleasing! The cheese could be cut thinner! But I really enjoyed it and nice beer offerings

Très bon 🤩 nous sommes végétariens et nous avons trouvé notre bonheur. ( pas toujours simple ). les portions sont très correctes. Nous avions pris en plus du plat principal des bruchettas de tomates. Excellentes! Ils ont même accepté de faire une portion enfant pr notre fille de 8 ans. Cadre et déco soignés. Possibilité de manger en terrasse ou de prendre un verre. Tb situé. Rapport qualité prix au rdv. Bon appétit

Wat een leuke plek om even een drankje of een hapje te nuttigen. We waren onder de indruk van de thee kaart en de keuzes. De menukaart ziet er ook goed uit. We dronken lekkere gemberthee en die was ontzettend luxe aangekleed, je zou het bijna een feel good arrangement kunnen noemen. We komen daar snel weer terug om het eten te proberen, maar wat we zagen zit dat wel goed daar

Heerlijk voor de lunch. Je ziet er gezellig en er is genoeg keuze. Soms wel erg prijzig voor wat je krijgt.
