My wife and I last visited when Cloudwater Brew visited. Cloudwater brought 8 specialty beers. A few weeks earlier we went to Baxbier when Sudden Death from Lübeck visited. They also brought 8 of their top beers. We had 2 very pleasant evenings, drank delicious beers and received friendly service. You can also enjoy delicious food at Baxbier.

Fantastic place for a nice evening of fun. Suitable for large and small groups. Not fun if you don't drink beer.... outside terrace very nice in nice weather. Staff fast and friendly and the beer selection is large, tasty and the staff provides extra information. You can sit inside at a high table, normal table or sofa and there are fun activities such as pool or board games. The kitchen is open for some snacks and there is a relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended for beer drinkers

Visited this brewery with the company network "Top off Holland". We saw and tasted a beautiful company 🍻. You must like IPA beer because that is brewed there. Furthermore, there is a beautiful bar/cafe where you can relax, and with a beautiful lake on the terrace at the Reitdiep. All in all fine👌

Last weekend I had a meeting with players of the game ingress. I walked to the bar later than the rest when I entered, asked where I could find the ingress players who were sitting on the terrace, and announced that I was coming for one drink because I still had a very long return journey ahead of me. Ordered 1 drink, waitress walked in and came out to smoke a cigarette herself. Then she walked inside and came out again with an order from another table, then asked if my order had gone through. oh yes the orange. When I wanted to pay she came over, grabbed a beer glass, tapped it and walked away. Because of this hassle I left without paying (via group account) and just missed my train. very nice if the last train you need runs once an hour. As far as I'm concerned, this isn't a place I'll ever set foot in again. Or I come for a drink and leave without paying.

Bax beer Friesestraatweg started as a somewhat chilly bare brewery location. But it is increasingly becoming a relaxed chill place where you can get good beer and good comfort food. I don't go there often, and I have for quite some time, but every time I go, I feel better than the last time. Open staff and open atmosphere. Absolutely fine.

Very tasty beer. Sat here a while ago with a good friend. The location is a bit far from the center, that's a shame. It was also a small disappointment that there was no shop where you could buy some beers to taste at home. Only a half empty old refrigerator was available for purchase. Still a shame.

Went for a beer tasting and tour. Nice to see, hear and taste how beer is brewed and conceived. The porter (Koudvuur) in particular was great!

I like the place; it's cosy especially its outdoor yard which is close to a canal. The beers are quite normal (not special); and their billiard table is awful :)

More than expected, a nice brewery with tasty snacks on a surprisingly spacious terrace. Only minor point; decoration, especially outside, could use some attention. Upon arrival it is not very inviting if you don't know how nice it is inside.

Had a beer brewery tour and beer tasting, both highly recommended! The beers you get are very tasty. In addition, our “tour guide” told a very nice story with humor about the brewery. We also ordered the smash burger, which was really tasty! Expensive but I thought it was worth the price. Bax Brouwers beer is also very tasty. In short, highly recommended!!

Nice atmosphere, delicious beers from the brewery. They often release new beers from the Bandwagon series, and that series alone is enough to keep them coming back. The staff is super friendly and always relaxed when it's busy.

A very suitable location to celebrate something with friends or family. When the weather is nice you can also go outside and a lot of boats will sail by. You can also moor at Baxbier with your own boat for a quick snack and drink, isn't that nice? And of course taste their many home-brewed beers. Highly recommended!

On a beautiful day in April, Baxbier should not be missed. It's a bit of a walk from the city center, but definitely worth it. Large space inside. Outside nice terrace on the water. Ordered a sample board of 4. During serving, receive an A5 paper with the tapped beers. To conclude, I took another one from the menu. Added the bitterballen for a tasty snack.

We had a wonderful time here all afternoon. Tasted several beers. The tasting of 4 beers was only 11 euros. The nachos were also very tasty. Staff was also very polite. Had a wonderful afternoon and didn't even lose a huge amount of money.

More bax beer is more better! Moiiiiii nice! The smashburger is the ultimate pleasure! Best in town!! 💕

Beautiful taproom. It's just a shame that the extremely well-regarded beers that they brew themselves are not on tap. We are familiar with Bax's standard own beers.

Wonderful place to drink special beers. On the water, yet reasonably within the city. The terrace is very cozy and often busy. You can also sit inside. You can get delicious special beers here and also non-alcoholic drinks. The burgers looked good too. The waitresses were also very friendly and we received good help. I will definitely come here again! Update 2023; still very nice tasting room! They have changed the decor to a very cozy setting, you can play games, and the (vegetarian) food is also recommended! The monthly pub quiz is also really fun.

came here with a friend for some beers and food and it was ABSOLUTELY DELECTABLE!! fries were absolutely wonderful very crisp, mozzarella sticks were to die for. the beer was sooo delicious you can’t even taste the 8% alcohol. everyone should come here. if you come here you are guaranteed 69 years of good luck

We hebben hier een avond lekker geborreld, gegeten en veel verschillende biertjes geproeft. Het is ook een proeflokaal dus je krijgt de experimentelere biertjes die je nog niet in een winkel kan kopen. Je krijgt zeker niet te weinig eten voor je geld.

Leuke brouwerij, relaxt proeflokaal en leuke bieren.

1001 keer voorbij gereden en vandaag voor het eerst binnen geweest voor een afscheidsfeestje collega. Blij verrast door de aangename sfeer en leuke aankleding. Heerlijke biertjes gehad in combinatie met de lekkere hapjes erbij. Uitermate geschikt is deze locatie voor feesten en partijen.

Samenvattend goede prijs en kwaliteit voor bierliefhebbers die een proeflokaal willen bezoeken! Leuke plek met een super mooie sfeer, veel keuze ook buiten hun core range en goed eten voor een schappelijke prijs! Ik zou terugkomen!!

Einfach mal eben an die Brauerei eine Gaststube geklatscht...Konzept geht auf und macht als Gast Spaß. Die Bedienung ist super freundlich und klärt unkundige Biertrinker sehr charmant auf. Von außen unscheinbar, drinnen oho...sehr zu empfehlen!!!

Goede sfeer en altijd lekkere biertjes

Hier heerlijke biertjes gedronken en hapjes gegeten. Aanrader om tijdens mooi weer buiten te zitten aan het water.

Leuke plek om een biertje te gaan drinken. Wij vinden pubquiz elke maand ook erg leuk, ondanks dat we er niet heel erg goed in zijn. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en de service is goed. Enige nadeel is dat de tafels af en toe wat te hoog zijn voor de stoelen die erbij staan. Hierdoor zit je niet altijd helemaal lekker. Ze hebben ook een leuk terras buiten aan het water, zeker een aanrader in de stad Groningen.

Kon Minder-citra bier is a great light bier. Pork rib is very juicy and tender. Beef wrap also nice.

Gemengde ervaring bij Bax: Leuke sfeer, maar teleurstellende klantenservice Onlangs heb ik met een groep vrienden een vrijgezellenfeestje gevierd bij Bax. Over het algemeen hebben we ons goed vermaakt in de gezellige ambiance van de locatie. Echter, een incident tijdens het bezoek heeft een bittere nasmaak achtergelaten, wat afbreuk heeft gedaan aan de algehele ervaring. Het feestje begon veelbelovend met een rondleiding door de brouwerij. We werden hartelijk ontvangen en kregen interessante informatie over het brouwproces en de verschillende bieren. Helaas werd deze positieve ervaring verstoord toen een van mijn vrienden, per abuis, aan het einde van het “feestje” een bierpakketje van 3 biertjes meenam. We waren in de veronderstelling dat dit bij de tour was inbegrepen, maar dit bleek niet het geval te zijn. Het spijt ons dat dit is gebeurd en we erkennen dat dit niet netjes was. Na het feestje ontvingen we echter een mail met beschuldigingen van diefstal van eten, wat ons behoorlijk heeft geschokt. We begrijpen dat het bierpakketje niet had mogen worden meegenomen, maar we voelden ons niet gesteund door de manier waarop dit incident werd aangepakt. We hebben geprobeerd nette telefoongesprekken te voeren om de situatie te verduidelijken, maar de persoon in kwestie leek niet voor rede vatbaar en reageerde boos. Dit was erg teleurstellend, aangezien we gehoopt hadden op begrip en een constructieve oplossing. Wat ons ook tegenviel, was het feit dat tijdens de rondleiding de eigenaar, Jeroen, negatief werd neergezet. Dit voegde niets toe aan onze ervaring en voelde ongepast aan. Hoewel we waarderen dat Bax een leuke sfeer biedt en een interessante locatie is voor een feestje, kunnen we de manier waarop deze situatie is afgehandeld niet negeren. Klantenservice is essentieel voor het succes van een onderneming, en we hadden gehoopt op begrip en coulance in plaats van beschuldigingen en boosheid. In het kort, we raden je aan om je "feestje" elders te vieren, waar klantvriendelijkheid en begrip vooropstaan. Hopelijk neemt Bax in de toekomst stappen om hun klantenservice te verbeteren, zodat anderen niet dezelfde teleurstellende ervaring hoeven te hebben.

Met wat collega's bierproeverij gedaan en daarna lekker chillen met nog meer bier en een dikke hamburger erbij. Rondleiding wordt lekker nuchter verteld onder het genot van een biertje. Aanrader om eens te bezoeken als je in de buurt bent
