We were over on karaoke night and it was great! Miss Curvalicious was a great host. The drinks were also very reasonably priced for entry being free (about 10€ per cocktail). I strongly recommend visiting 💜

You come in and a musty smell hits your nose, so the desire for drinks etc. disappears. The location is very narrow, so you have to stand very close, it's not my case, but if you like group cuddling, this is exactly the right place. Rather unsuitable for wheelchair users.

Always a fun a experience. Lovely drinks at a fair price. The staff and owners are always so welcoming. A very nice bar where everyone is welcomed!

Super mediocre bar. The drinks take forever to make, they are super expensive and NOT good at all. There are only people there when there is an event, but please do not go when the owner is performing. Or bring earplugs, he'll scream like a madman into the microphone that you have to buy his mediocre, overpriced drinks. Meanwhile he preys on young boys who are too high or drunk to function, I've even seen him take some of them to his dungeon in the back. Absolutely crazy.

My favorite bar in Groningen. Good vibes and a safe space for everyone. Can recommend!

Avoid this bar. There is certainly something loose with one of the owners. You are constantly monitored to see if you order enough. If you don't order enough you will be pressured to order more or you will be evicted from the bar. Unless you're a hot guy under 21, then you can apparently get away with anything with him. During the upcoming Eurovision watch party, according to their Instagram, if you say something they don't like (criticism of Israel), you will be kicked out of the bar. Once again, your actions are being closely monitored. This should be a bar where you can be yourself, but this has become a bar where you can be yourself, within the limits of the owner himself. Shame. This bar had such potential in the beginning and is slowly crumbling. EDIT: Dorothy's first response below is a good example of how it works. Just pointing and 0 self-reflection. Immediately again pointing fingers at a specific group.

Had multiple lovely experiences here! Definitely a recommendation to go visit the lovely queens performing here!

This is a small but very fun place to drink and watch drag performance.

Very nice, homely atmosphere. The bespectacled bartender (I forgot to ask his name) serves great cocktails! We will definitely come back on our next visit to Groningen, cheers :)

I don't drink alcohol so I ask the bartender to make a drink without alcohol, it was nice and refreshing. Very fun experience with my friend there.

Lovely bar. Great drag performances. I do have to warn that it cab be quite overstimulating. Lots of lights, music and talking. Would reccomend it though. Drinks were great and performances were radical.

Young? Old? Somewhere in the middle? Gay? Queer? Trans? Non-binary? Disabled? Neurodivergent? This place is a gift. Wheelchair Accessible, accommodating and friendly. Great decor. Delicious cappuccino, great prices, welcoming atmosphere. A place where people are celebrated and welcomed as they are. The music is great too!

Awesome LGBTQ+ bar! The bar personel is putting a lot of effort in supporting the community, by giving the LGBTQ+ community a safe space. The bathrooms are gender inclusive, and they have (merely!) all pride flags that they could find on the wall! The Drag-shows are amazing, and the bar owner (Andy) also helps a lot in thinking along whether or not you can organize an event there!

Had an amazing night at a drag show hosted at Dorothy's, my friends and i felt very welcome and had so much fun Good prices, very nice personal, an amazing vibe, and clean toilets!! What more could you want! I will come here more often :)

The most fun and welcoming bar in Groningen! Great drag shows and lovely staff. Cocktails and drinks are tasty too! Awesome queer, fun and easy vibe with Dorothy always entertaining the guests! You can really tell how much the owners care for our community and show up for all expressions of queerness, not just RuPaul girls !! It's a must see!

Simply fabulous, Dorothy and the staff are amazing and make you feel welcome the moment you step through the door. Unlike a lot of gay establishments, Dorothy's is proudly trans inclusive and I really appreciate that

What is there not to love? This is such a welcoming place where I feel so comfortable. You can see that it is a place that the owners and community take great pride in. The drinks are also yummy which is a nice added bonus. Go there for a show or just a regular drink and I am sure that you will enjoy it ❤️
