Beach Club Bestevaer in Wijk 03 Kamperland

I made a reservation for five people. I tried to find a menu online due to a gluten allergy, but I couldn't. I tried to contact Club Bestevaer by phone four times, but I kept getting a recording. The general reception desk, although very friendly, couldn't help me either. A week and a half before the reservation, I sent two emails to Roompot asking if there was an allergen list and, if so, what the options were. I never received a reply. Upon arrival, I stopped by the beach club to ask what options were available, but all but one were simply nonexistent. Unfortunately, I had to cancel the reservation and still had a delicious meal a little further down the road at Restaurant de Brouwerij.

Had lunch with three people. Coffee, soft drinks, and three croques. First of all, it took an awfully long time, and I'll have to send the chef the recipe for a croque because it didn't really resemble anything we got. A big failing grade for them. The staff did try their best, but you need a knack for languages ​​to order anything there, and I don't mean Dutch. All in all, I agree with the long list of negative reviews.

The extremely long wait, we ordered hot snacks to accompany our main course. They arrived much faster than the drinks. We didn't time it, but the drinks took at least half an hour. The main course was delicious and well-prepared, but I've never experienced this before: you're told when you're being served that the fries and salads are coming later, but we never actually got them. We obviously skipped dessert or coffee... we were there for almost two hours (from 7:45 PM on a Friday evening) for a few drinks, hot snacks, and a main course (of which the same main course was served twice and three times). I have no choice but to give this review.

May not write what I do not think

Dirty tables, lounge benches covered in food stains, and the menu covered in sauce stains. We didn't order anything and left.

The view is superb, and there's a wide selection of different beers and cocktails. Unfortunately, we were there for food. The portions were very, very modest, and the price was comparatively high. The kipsaté had a sauce that you almost had to cut into it and was served on an ominous banana leaf (?). The carving was only a bit juicy thanks to the sauce, and both fish portions, while tasty, were extremely small. The waitress often only came to the table after a lot of requests. What was very, very tasty was the bread and dip appetizer! Otherwise, it's a shame... I'd rather go to the pizzeria in the center.

Open the freezer, take out the schnitzel, put it in the hairdryer, and you're done. If you like it. Not my thing, but the mussels were okay. By the sea... anything fresh. The rest... Value for money? Not really for the food, but the ambiance and drinks were very nice.

The restaurant has a beachy atmosphere, but unfortunately, nothing more. The food is mediocre at best, and the price/performance ratio is abysmal. The fries look like they came straight from the oven, and the Caesar salad doesn't deserve to be called that (fried chicken and bacon?!?), and it's really expensive. You can get much better food in the region for less.

A group of us went here for dinner on a recommendation. Unfortunately, the food wasn't very good! Although we only had burgers and steaks, the steaks were cold, and the salad (see photo) was anything but a salad! It was just thrown on and done. 😞. It's a shame, but definitely not a recommendation! The service was also not attentive, hence only 2 stars.

Always a long wait for your food. The service is absolutely terrible. I've never experienced anything this bad. I come occasionally out of necessity because my boat is in the harbor. But it's always the same there.

I ate here, but I wouldn't recommend it. The staff is very attentive and helpful. The restaurant looks reasonable. We had to wait a long time for our first drink; the kitchen delivered the bread before the bar delivered the drinks. After a 45-minute wait, we received our food, which wasn't quite right. The meat looked good but was lukewarm, and the fries were thrown in a bowl with 1.5kg of salt. I'd recommend sparing with the sauce, as they save on that. I had the Iron steak, which was an okay piece of meat, but that's about it. We skipped the ice cream.

Hamburgers in the afternoon, delicious food. The price was reasonable, nice location. BUT... in the evening, a pina colada for 10 euros. Three sips, the rest was ice cream. Worthless. I'd be ashamed to serve that to my guests.

This is incredibly amateurish. The place was only 35% full, and we still had to wait an hour for our order. The staff was present but I guess they just didn't feel like it. I don't understand why Roompot or a manager or something didn't intervene. We'll definitely not be coming back.

Unfortunately not. The staff were nice, but completely overwhelmed. We waited forever before we could place our food order. The food was rather mediocre, with small portions. And so much money for that...just unacceptable.

the food was terrible, undercooked and raw, the drink was only ice and not much alcohol, after reporting that the food was raw, they asked to make more, but it came back in the same condition as it was. the chef came to the customer as if he had just come back from the beach and told him that the food was perfect. after changing the dish, I got stinking and raw hamburger meat again. the prices are not in proportion to these dishes, small portions of fish fillets. young waiters who did not know where they were at work or in service, no work organization. only one waitress was very nice and involved in working with customers, kind regards to the waitress from the Czech Republic

Beautiful location, great view but lousy service and service. Ordering is already a challenge but waiting for your food for more than 30 minutes is ridiculous.

service was good except that no one speaks Dutch and times were ok. However I got a cold "iron steak" and cold gratin. They took it back and warmed it up but when they came back there was no garlic sauce to be seen and I actually had a tasteless dry steak. No 2nd time. Daughter had cold frikandellen and fries.

We hadn't actually read the reviews beforehand, but when we arrived we thought it would be nice to first have a quiet bite to eat and a drink at the beach bar. In retrospect, it was a good thing that we had already sat down at the end of the afternoon, because that meant we could still have our dinner at a reasonable time. Unfortunately, things went wrong after that. We had to wait more than an hour for dessert, which ultimately turned out not to be very special. Throughout the evening we had to ask repeatedly if we could order something to drink. What surprised us: the restaurant and the terrace were well occupied, but certainly not overcrowded. Yet the staff didn't seem to be able to cope with the crowds at all. There were a surprising number of employees walking around, but without any structure. We saw several tables with children who were also waiting endlessly. The quality of the food itself seemed fine, but the chaotic service made it impossible to relax and enjoy yourself. Too bad, because with a bit better organization: just walking around every now and then, asking if someone wants a drink, keeping a bit of an overview... this would really be a lot better and would generate more turnover. We eventually decided to almost cancel dessert and skipped coffee altogether. Later we read the reviews and recognized exactly the same story there. Too bad, because the potential is definitely there.

Very bad. Quite expensive for the accommodation you are in. A bit of a sad show to be honest. Foreign staff very friendly and ashamed of doing business. If you can't handle it. Close at least half of your terrace. And halve your prices.

Unfortunately, our visit to Beach Club Bestevaer was very disappointing. We had high expectations, but they were not met. The service left much to be desired: it took a very long time to take the order, and then we had to wait almost an hour before the food was served. In addition, the staff spoke only English, which did not make communication easier. For the quality of service we found the prices to be on the high side. In short, a disappointment. We won't be coming back here anytime soon.

Een mooie plek voor een gezellig avondje war te drinken. Maar ook om heerlijk een hapje te gaan eten. Mooie service. Speeltuin er naast. Vlakbij het strand. Zeer vriendelijk personeel.

Ondanks alle slechte reviews toch gegaan vanwege de mooie locatie. En aangenaam verrast. Toevallig was er een grote barbeque. Het was helemaal top en overheerlijk. Ook de bediening was snel en vriendelijk. Biertjes lekker koel zoals het hoort. En een speciaal bedankje aan de zeer vriendelijke ober Ilama die ons zeer goed heeft bediend en een echte professional is. Wij zijn tevreden!

The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, you feel comfortable. The staff was friendly, attentive and yet pleasantly reserved.

Drinks and food were taken very quickly. Then it took time. The kitchen and the service seemed overwhelmed. The food we ordered didn't come, we waited for over 1.5 hours even though we were already sitting in the half-full restaurant at 6 p.m. and the pork was half raw. The incorrectly delivered food was also charged for and we had to complain about it first. It doesn't work at all. That was the last time we visited this restaurant because it wasn't the first time we had this experience.

Wir sind total erschrocken. Ein Schnitzel aus dem Tiefkühlfach für 21,50€ was absolut scheußlich geschmeckt hat. Dazu auch noch einen Salat ohne Dressing und auf dem Tisch kein Essig & Öl zum pimpen. Das große Bier zwischen 7-8€. Unter familienfreundlich verstehen wir was anderes. Sehr sehr schade! Uns wird der Laden nicht mehr sehen.

C'est la troisième ou quatrième fois que nous venons à ce restaurant. Nous avons été surpris de voir que la carte avait changé et que les plats que nous voulions n'étaient plus disponibles (assiette de crevettes à l'ail (remplacée par une salade avec des crevette qui semblent décongelées) et cheesburger (remplacé par un burger végétarien)). Comme à chaque fois le personnel était aimable et sympathique. Il y a malheureusement eu un problème lors de la livraison de notre dessert qui a pris trop de temps et que nous avons décidé d'annuler (mais le personnel s'en est excusé et à proposé un geste commercial). Nos plats étaient bons (même si peut être un peu chers), l'ambiance était sympa et une belle vue sur le port. Cela reste un restaurant agréable lorsque nous séjournons au parc Roompot Beach Resort. Nous y retournerons sans doute lors de notre prochain passage (mais nous vérifierons la carte avant tout de même).

We recently spent 10 days at Beach Club Roompot and it was a wonderful experience! Every day was impeccably prepared, from the delicious food to the excellent service. It was clear that the staff goes above and beyond to pamper their guests. Every morning we enjoyed a generous breakfast, which was both healthy and delicious. Lunch and dinner always offered varied and tasty options, from fresh fish dishes to the best BBQs. The food was top-notch! The drinks were also always high-quality and served promptly. It was clear that attention was paid to everything, from the presentation to the flavors. The location is beautiful: right on the beach with a fantastic view, perfect for a quiet lunch or drinks. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, making it the ideal place to enjoy the sun and the sea. The team was always friendly, and we felt truly welcome. After 10 days, we didn't regret our choice for a moment. Beach Club Roompot is an absolute must for anyone looking for a relaxing, well-maintained vacation spot. We will definitely be back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The beach club is an absolute disgrace. There were two of us there and we waited almost two hours for our food. When the food came at some point after several requests, one meal was ice cold and the other was wrong. A children's menu was brought. Apparently the waiter couldn't take the orders very well. I would say... job missed. An absolute disgrace given the prices. Having a drink there may be okay. Everything else NO. Better go somewhere else...

The lounge furniture we sat on was dirty and worn out. The mini frikandels were fried to death. The cappucino was quite ok. The view of the harbor was OK. Due to the lack of competition, you can afford something like this at quite high prices.

What can I say? It is very difficult to rate the food when no one cares about the guests. The location is of course great, but 5 stars for that. Unfortunately, you can completely forget the employees there, or at least they forget their guests. We wanted to order there with 7 people for half an hour and would certainly have made a lot of sales there, but despite repeated requests the waiter apparently didn't want to serve us. It has to be said that it was also particularly full, only half of the tables were occupied. It's a shame, but our experience reflects the experiences of other guests. Unfortunately, absolutely not recommended, at least not if you want to eat something there.

Very nice location of the restaurant. Right on the harbor and nice view of the beach. Here you can sit nicely outside as well as inside. The menu is manageable, but prices are a bit higher. The service was actually very quick and friendly. We kept asking if we needed anything or if everything was okay. The food was good. Couldn't complain. Dogs are welcome.

We were there in the afternoon and easily got a spot. The food came quickly and the service was ok. The food was attractively prepared, but I haven't eaten as badly as I did here in a long time. Fries and croquettes were at most lukewarm on all plates, rather cold. The kibbelinge were over-seasoned and also cold, and the fish itself was quite dry

Location is beautiful. At the harbor and beach. Took 15 minutes to get our drinks. Food itself was good. Except for the atjar that you get with it. It didn't look fresh. Staff mainly communicated with each other using earphones and only English. They barely paid attention to guests.

Stayed for 3 weeks in the area, and had a wonderful time. Visited the beach house very regularly and enjoyed it each time again. The international personnel does not speak Dutch at all, but as it was clearly mentioned in the entrance, it didn't bother me at all. On the contrary, it gave our visit a little international accent. Very welcome as my wife and I also are fund of Spanish and Portuguese culture. The Spanish Wednesdays were our favorite, and we enjoyed the tapas every week. The girls and guys attending the tables were ever so friendly and lovely, and are a great plus to the house. We will be very happy to visit again next year, and hope to meet our new Spanish and Portuguese friends again. Lucia! Make the best of your studies this year, I will be supporting you in my thoughts! Just finished sitting for 40 minutes without service. Restaurant advertises that they close at 10. We entered the premises a little after 9:00 and we sat inside the restaurant. We were not told that we could not order food. We had to finally ask our waitress if we could order food and were told that the kitchen closed at 9:00. What a terrible excuse and the worst customer service. If you speak English, avoid this place. They have a sign on the door that they allow international guests, but that seems to be untrue. They seemed happy to help the others around the restaurant. When I asked to see the manager, I was told that she was off. I would not suggest spending money at a place who does not care about customers.

I don't understand the other reviews. I'm really very critical of food, but our ribs, chicken satay and burgers were really tasty. Tender and soft chicken meat. Meat fell right off the ribs and bones and delicious fries (eldest son doesn't like to eat fries and even he was a fan). The staff speaks English, but is very friendly.

Good quality food, fast service, great terrasse with view on the harbour. Great for a sundowner with some snacks or a burger.

Impeccable service and very attentive! On the other hand, the mussels were not successful, sauce without any taste and in very small quantities. Very, too loud music on the terrace. We do not recommend!

Ik heb een beetje een dubbel gevoel over deze plek. De beachbar en de bediening zijn echt leuk en prima voor elkaar. Bediening spreekt Engels en Spaans, maar dat is prima. Goede cocktails en bieren. Lekkere snacks (nachos met pulled checken is echt lekker). We hebben hier ook gegeten en dat was echt dramatisch slecht. De hamburger was een gekookte lap gehakt met weinig smaak. Ook de saté leek gekookt ofzo. Sta je op, zit je onder de hondenharen. Blijkbaar mogen honden hier op de banken zitten. Brrrrrr

We asked for a different table, for turning off the speakers, and for our food several times. We were there with a hungry and tired small child and nothing really happened till we decided to leave. In the end, the nice waiter brought us some of the food for free to takeaway and lollies for the child and apologised multiple times for what had happened. The burger we took home was burned. We ate here once before and the first time everything was ok (not great) at our table. But we observed similar things (waiting more than 1,5hrs for food etc.) happening at the tables next to ours.

If you're not hungry, you're welcome to stop here. If you are interested in drinks, you should bring your time. An hour passed after the food was ordered and nothing arrived. We then canceled the order. This made operation easier. When asked about the problem, it was reported that there were probably new employees. Table neighbors faced the same problem.

We were quite skeptical based on the reviews, but were pleasantly surprised. The staff were friendly and attentive - they organized a table for our large group, even though it was busy and we hadn't made a reservation. Aperol came in large glasses, a dream, spare ribs were quite good. All in all we had a nice evening. It's also comfortable to sit outside when the sun is shining. The service of the restaurant compared to Roompot service is great.

Gemiste kans. Menu is karig, niet wat je verwacht van een beach club. Bediening en keuken schieten overal tekort. Verkeerde drankjes, verkeerde maaltijden. En het duurt een eeuwigheid voordat je iets krijgt. Volgens mij tekort aan personeel en dat is erg jammer. Had een vaste stek kunnen worden tijdens onze vakantie, maar deze slaan we even over.

Nice view of the harbor. Delicious cocktails but a bit expensive. But you're happy to pay when you're on vacation, especially if the service is good. We didn't eat anything so we can't rate it.
